ActiveCampaign is the lifeblood of my business. Without it, my marketing efforts would not be nearly as successful and I would not be able to message my program prospects with relevant information on a timely basis. We use ActiveCampaign mainly for newsletters and lead capture, and it offers a solid balance of power and usability for a mid-size B2B setup. The visual automation builder makes it straightforward to create flows for sign-ups, onboarding, and lead nurturing without needing developer support. The built-in forms and email designer help us launch new lead-capture points quickly while keeping our messaging consistent across touchpoints. Segmentation and automation rules also give us enough flexibility to trigger relevant messages based on behaviour and profile data, which is important for our audiences. What do you dislike about ActiveCampaign?

The interface can feel a bit cluttered and inconsistent, which makes onboarding new colleagues slower than it needs to be. The reporting and analytics are serviceable, but they aren’t very flexible when you want to combine email performance with form and lead data in a single view. Navigation between automations, lists, and reports can also feel unintuitive at times, so you end up spending extra time clicking around just to find what you need. To their defence, the UI has recently been updated, which makes it much smoother overall, but it does take some time to adjust to.

As the CMO and founder of Audemic, what I appreciate most about ActiveCampaign is how seamlessly it integrates marketing automation with CRM capabilities. It allows us to create highly personalized customer journeys without needing a large marketing ops team. The segmentation and automation features are incredibly powerful. We can trigger email sequences, in-app messages, or nurture flows based on user behavior, which helps us deliver relevant content at the right time.

The platform can feel overly "complex" at times, especially when setting up advanced automations or integrating with external tools. The UI isn’t always as intuitive as it could be... (I think this is a share feeling among AC users as far as I know from other startup founders of my net) It takes a learning curve to unlock its full potential.
