I’ve been using Beefree for about three years, and in that time, I’ve designed roughly 200 emails with it. I can confidently say it’s a powerful tool that has saved me countless hours. It enables me to go from idea to a beautifully designed email incredibly fast. Since my work style prioritizes efficiency, I deeply value every minute it saves me.
One of the best aspects is how it allows me to create templates for other leaders in our organization. These templates often make their emails look far more professional than they could achieve on their own, which has earned me a reputation as a go-to resource. By leaning into templating, I’ve developed options for nearly every situation, including row templates that let me quickly prototype new ideas when needed.
Overall, Beefree is likely the best email creation tool out there. It’s a game-changer for anyone looking to combine efficiency and professional design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very rarely I'll get disconnected from the server and a few changes I've made will be erased. It is rare so I would hardly call it a complaint but it does happen from time to time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We create emails for multiple clients and Beefree allows us to keep it all in one place. The platform generally offers better design flexibility than the email platforms in which we're inserting the emails, so we have more creative freedom and options. Plus, all of our designers learn the Beefree tools and it doesn't require them to learn a million different email platforms. (Our clients probably use 8-10 different platforms.) Two other features, while they may seem small, are quite helpful: 1. You can send a URL to your client for review. With most email platforms, you have to keep sending email tests, but instead, the Beefree URL stays the same until the process is done, so the client doesn't have to keep searching their email for tests. 2. You can create PDFs of emails. I can't tell you how often we need those, whether a client needs it for a presentation, we want it for our portfolio, or whatever reason. You can't do that with 99% of the email platforms out there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
On occasion, but rare, there are some strange errors when we bring the code over on some emails, which don't show up when we're designing. We have to go back and fix them in Beefree, even though they aren't evident, so we have to do a little research. That's small potatoes, though.
The biggest downside for me is cost. Not the cost of the platform, but the extra charges for image hosting. Most email platforms don't allow for uploading of images when you bring the HTML over, so Beefree ends up the image host -- and they charge alot for it. I think it's expensive.
On balance though, the pros outweigh the cons on Beefree and I always recommend it to those for whom I think could use something like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have integrated BeePro seamlessly into our workflow for designing and managing email campaigns. The intuitive drag-and-drop editor allows our team to quickly create beautiful, responsive emails without the need for complex coding. BeePro’s collaborative tools ensure our designers and content creators can work together efficiently, streamlining the review and approval process. The platform’s ability to export clean HTML directly into HubSpot, our CRM, has been a game-changer—saving time and ensuring campaigns look perfect across devices. BeePro has become an essential tool for delivering visually impactful, on-brand emails to our clients and partners.” Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to segment and save different campaigns for clients could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Beefree makes building professional looking communication for my church easy. It has elevated our ability to share events and other important information and saved us money by eliminating the need for other programs and using the non-profit option. There are many ways to move the content into a variety of email clients (mailchip, outlook, google) for sending - flexible and a time saver. I use Beefree on a daily basis. Drag and drop and templates make it extremely easy to import in exisiting graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are template to choose from but I still do a great bit of design outside of Beefree and import in. I have a few work arounds that I use to add text in because the "paragraph" option just doesn't function the same way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have several email marketers on our team that are not advanced in html coding but need the ability to create templates for our sites and emails without bogging down the Digital and Design teams with daily projects. BEE has been a fantastic solution to allow them to work in a sophisticated template creator and subsequently import the coding into our ESP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish you could grab the html coding directly from the site vs having to download the html file to get it, but it's a matter of 10 seconds to go that extra step so it isn't a deal breaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It provides the perfect balance between a WYSIWYG responsive HTML editor, and the ability to manually tweak code when needed. Its Saved Rows and Templates features enable me to ensure that our brand standards are consistently applied across all projects, and the Synched Rows feature enables me to quickly update assets when needed, even when they’re already in use in multiple active projects. 1. Saved rows and synched rows in emails default to a width of 500 pixels, which produces undesirable results when placed into an email that is 650 pixels wide. This feature needs to either provide a mechanism to adjust the default width of a Saved Row, or automatically adjust when placed in an email with a different width.
2. There is no easy way to add custom HTML SPAN attributes to text (i.e. <span style="white-space: nowrap;"></span>). This can only be done manually after I’ve exported the code, which makes the process more cumbersome than it should be.
3. Templates don’t save UTM parameters. This makes no sense to me, because UTM parameters almost always have a standard syntax, so we should be able to save defaults with our templates.
4. I wish the settings tab offered me a way to add custom CSS to my templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Beefree is so easy to use and they continuously are adding more and more templates and content block options. It is super easy to organize email types into folders and export the HTML or into many other solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing - it's great. I do wish i could export to this email provider i use called intercom. Intercom is great for emailing my members but the WYSIWYG editor is super limited and to adjust my templates i need to access and change the CSS and while that's not bad, it's just not nearly as easy and nible as bee is. Very easy to use and create great looking emails. Can be easily sent to email systems in one click or even copy the HTML and paste it in. I can easily switch between brand styles to keep everything consistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing - it's fantastic. It is the best of it's type that I have used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is the perfect tool for creating email templates and then exporting them in html. This way I can have html versions to send to service providers or import them directly into my brevo email tool! What's more, you can split all your templates into different folders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
nothing so far, I haven't had any problems using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
