I’ve been quoted an outrageous $15,000 just to unlock my account so it can resume sending emails. The new pricing plans are absolutely abysmal, prioritizing profit over customer experience. This is the second overcharge in a week—$3,000 earlier, and now this $15,000 bill. To make matters worse, their system claims my account sent 1.4 million emails (which it hasn’t—I've checked their reports), yet they still expect me to pay for it?
My account rep is nowhere to be found and claims he has no power to fix this. Live chat support is clueless and unable to help. I’ve submitted 16 tickets, and not a single one has been answered. No one from the company has reached out to resolve this. Meanwhile, we're receiving 40+ complaints daily from customers because our automated emails aren’t sending.
This is beyond unacceptable—it’s a complete breakdown of customer service and operational accountability. What a joke. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Long time customer, since 2014. Ive watched this company since about 2020, put profit over product. Active camapign was always product first, not sure where it changed but it was sometime around 2020. Increased fees for no usable features, you get less for more, its a shame. I'll be moving our 31 clients off active campaign this year and myself. Profit over product always loses Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The automation option is the ONLY thing I like- even though the emails are bland. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that no one can leave AC after you subscribe. They won't prorate my plan and let me go.
Also, when I had to add contacts, I choose the a small monthly plan. AC took it upon themself to change it to a second yearly plan. They'll never let me get out of their terrible CRM.
The site is not easy to use. The customer service is terrible. By the time they respond I've spend days figuring on my own. I avoid using it like the plague because it's not intuitive AT ALL . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No very sure, as I truly do not like the performance of this platform overall Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slow system, takes ages to be loaded. Pages crushing often and very old layouts. Too many features for nothing! Not easy to use.
I am using it all the time but fully migrating to a new system in the new year,
Customer support is responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ActiveCampaign offers a fairly straightforward product. It has a modern interface and all the basics you would expect in a professional email marketing system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer Support & Integration. While they have a support chat functionality, the level of knowledge of the team working it is very low and not helpful. It quickly becomes too much for the first line support so your request gets transferred into a ticket. What is baffling is that a modern product has such out-of-date support practices. There are no options to indicate the level of importance or urgency, and no answers when I inquired as to when I could expect even a first response. And at least 24 hours have passed since I've even received any acknowledgment of the ticket that I clearly stated mattered to the business. When I tried to escalate this issue with the "business" side of the operations, I got sent back a google search where the employee said that google told them the issue was with a different product. Not only was that not my request but it showed carelessness and disrespect for all the steps my team had already gone through to resolve the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I joined ActiveCampaign because of the great tagging and segmenting features of the emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ActiveCampaign has now added so many unnecessary features and inflated the prices for everyone forcing users onto huge plans with features that small businesses just don't need. It used to be great but now it is just unnecessarily over complicated and cluttered. Such a shame, but I am leaving and going elsewhere. The price is just too much for a small business and the features are overwhelming and not needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you read my "dislikes" you will understand, that my "likes" are very small at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Disastrous - at the start of an online conference, several hundred email addresses with the status "not confirmed". Two weeks of intensive, time-consuming email contact with AC, I was repeatedly given answers that did not fit the problem. For example, participants told me that they had received the opt-in confirmation email 5 (!) times. Instead of explaining to me how this could have happened, AC said "the participants had simply registered multiple times!" - No, they hadn't!!! I received no solution to the problem from AC for two weeks, and I don't know how many potential customers I lost because of this. First the blame was put on the participants who could not log in properly, then on the nth, who were rejected by the servers (first the participants were to blame, then supposedly the recipients' servers, which supposedly rejected the emails. When I explicitly asked about the error message here, wanted to see for myself, AC suddenly sent a terse email: "We had a technical glitch, we are sure you will understand!". That solved the problem for AC. Not a word about the fact that I had missed out on business, that I had lost time because I had to do a lot of things manually or twice - an email I had prepared in German was sent in English the next day - again just "technical glitch, we are sure you will understand". Conclusion: If you really want to do reliable business and, if something goes wrong, also have support that resolves problems promptly (!) and takes responsibility for its own mistakes (!), then AC is definitely NOT the right software for you!!! ActiveCampaign was a reliable platform for creating, automating, and executing sales campaigns to a subscriber base. I enjoyed the ease of use and the customer service support available for some years until the past few years where I've seen the quality decline Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The quality of service has declined in the past few years. There are more unexplained technical issues like formatting problems, not being able to access reports, getting mislabeled as unauthorized user (despite being the admin). These issues all were reported and temporary solutions provided, but then the issues continued as permanent solutions were not implemented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Preço, é uma ferramenta pelo preço ofertado possui muitas entregas Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Navegabilidade, suporte, analytics. Um ferramenta péssima para escalar seu negócio, limitada no tange dashboard, pouco intuitiva Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I like about Active Campaign for Marketing. I only use it because I have a few automations that I paid someone to build and I don't want to duplicate them somewhere else. Even paying someone to build the automations cost more than it should have because it takes so long to build something that works. Even now, the automations only work part of the time...and no one in customer support can tell me why they are not working. "It's only a guess." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not intuitive at all. Trying to build automations is an exercise in frustration for anyone who is not technology saavy. Customer support is a a crap shoot. They send you videos to follow which provide no context for how the mistake was made or why it isn't working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That I can see if someone opens my email Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
