I love the freedom I have to create in Wix Studio. I can design what I want or what my clients need, without being tied to templates, and let creativity be paramount. It's very easy to use and I don't need to know how to program or write code. It also allows me to solve my clients' communication problems. Transitioning from Wix to Wix Studio was very complex and I had to practice a lot. I also find regional limitations for connecting payment methods and local systems: in Ecuador, we don't have a way to charge online; in Argentina, only Mercado Libre payments can be connected; and in Chile, we can't connect local billing systems. I found it a cakewalk to build my own website without paying for development, and it saves a lot of time and money. I love the design features and how easy it is to create and customize my website, with lots of templates to choose from. I can make it responsive in no time and create a professional-looking website with good performance without much effort. I also love having the freedom to design it myself. I use Wix Studio to create and manage websites for myself and my clients. It makes it easy to build websites relatively quickly, and my clients can manage them without our ongoing involvement. The sites turn out beautiful and responsive, and I can bring my creative vision online without needing a developer, which saves us money in developer fees. I like the design freedom and the balance between being able to create what I want and making the site easy for clients to manage, especially when I set them up in content mode. I can change fonts and colors across the site to match a client’s brand. The template library is vast, and I can often find something close to what I want to create. I usually start with a template, adjust the fonts and colors, and get the website about 70% complete in around an hour; starting from scratch would take me about five hours. My biggest criticism of Wix Studio is the AI code in Velo. It’s a great idea, but the AI code has literally never done what I needed, and if a feature isn’t already an option, it probably just won’t happen, so it can be impossible to get that design across. I’ve also had trouble with portability and customer service. When I need help with something serious, like a billing or copyright issue, support feels very sloppy. It’s difficult to get past the AI customer service bot, which doesn’t know how to answer questions or link up well to the website I’m asking about. If I reach a human, I get a frontline agent who can’t really do much. I can’t export my sites to another platform, so if a website breaks, I feel like I’m kind of screwed. I like the design features. Unlike other website design platforms, I find that Wix Studio has the best features that allow you to customize your site for selling, performance, and design. One of the improvements that would add the most value would be having Aria fully integrated within the Wix Studio Editor and not just in the control panel. Having the AI available during the design and development process would allow for contextual assistance in content creation, SEO optimization, accessibility, responsive design, CMS connections, automations, and technical recommendations without having to leave the editor. For agencies, this would represent a significant time saving, a reduction in context switching, and a much smoother and more productive development experience. I can manage my website myself without external support. I can understand Wix Studio without being a website developer or knowing how to code, and create a nicely designed website. I find the UI quite intuitive, and the templates help me adapt the site to my needs. The initial setup was easy. I’ve been using Wix for over a decade, and whenever I’ve reached out—by phone or chat—I’ve always been well taken care of, no matter what the issue was. Wix Studio offers an abundant amount of tools and functionalities built into the system all under one roof. You normally have to connect multiple software platforms and have them all try to talk to each other, which can become a nightmare. Wix makes it all integrated and easy! I was able to figure out Wix Studio without any previous website-building experience and build a roughly 10-page website for my business in my spare time over a few weeks. It let me create a cost-effective website with ease. Once I got used to the interface, I found it reasonably intuitive and user friendly, and the initial setup was easy.
