We've been using CodeSubmit for about 2 years to run our take-home programming assessment for technical candidates. It's been very easy to invite candidates, and in addition when we email the CodeSubmit team with questions they've always been very responsive and attentive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes candidates fail to push the code in time and we have to manually follow-up to get the code, I wonder if there's some way candidates could still be allowed to push the code (but receive a warning in their terminal that it's overdue, so that they're aware they have no more time and shouldn't push any more) & have it be flagged in the system as a late submission.
Unfortunately for us on the hiring side, take-home programming assessments may not be providing as much hiring signal anymore due to the prevalence of people using LLMs that are getting increasingly strong at handling scoped tasks, but CodeSubmit also has other interview products besides the take-home programming assessment option, and based on personal communication with their support team they are thinking about how to make their product adaptable this issue.
I think it's a good product, however I haven't done that much comparison with competing products so I can't say for sure what the differences are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
