What do you like best about Monster?

I have been using Monster from last year. Monster makes it really easy to find the right candidates quickly. I love how simple and user-friendly the platform is. The search tools are excellent and allow me to filter candidates based on skills, experience, and location. It allows me to keep all candidate information in one place, which is very convenient. Highly recommended Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monster?

I wish candidate profiles had more detailed information about their work history. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Monster’s Strong Resume Database and Advanced Boolean Search Make Hiring Fast"
What do you like best about Monster?

I like best about Monster is its strong resume database and advanced Boolean search capabilities, which make it easy to find experienced and niche candidates quickly. It also provides good visibility for job postings and helps reach both active and passive job seekers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monster?

One thing I find challenging about Monster is that sometimes the search results include candidates who aren’t fully aligned with the job requirements, which requires additional filtering. However, with well-constructed Boolean searches, this can be minimized Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Paola Valdes of Monster

Hello,

Thank you for the detailed feedback! We are thrilled to hear that our resume database and advanced search tools are helping you identify niche talent and efficiently reach both active and passive job seekers.

We also appreciate your insight regarding the precision of search results. As you noted, well-constructed Boolean strings are a powerful way to minimize noise, and we are continually refining our search logic to ensure the most relevant candidates rise to the top. Your experience is a great example of how our tools can be leveraged to improve the overall quality of hire. We value your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your recruitment success.

"Good to Have but Not Great"
What do you like best about Monster?

It is a fairly simple tool and is easy to use and manage. It is also pretty well-known and used by a decent number of candidates. From a pricing and plan standpoint, the flat fee for views, regardless of user count, is nice, especially for larger companies. The bullhorn integration is also nifty, as recruiters can work within the system and simplify a few processes. Within the search, there are some decent filters/additions. Customer Support/Account Managers are responsive and prompt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monster?

The simplicity is both an addition and a subtraction. The candidate quality is not great - better for lower-level positions than technical/skilled skillsets. It also tends to have more fake resumes from third parties. The usage and ROI are low. It would be nice to be able to see/pull usage reports directly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rafael Pagan of Monster

Hi Lizzie,

Thank you for taking the time to review Monster. It is great to hear that the Bullhorn integration is simplifying processes for your recruiters and that our support team has been responsive to your needs.

I want to address your concerns regarding ROI and reporting. We understand that for a Senior Operations Analyst, direct access to data is vital. We also hear your feedback on candidate quality and are actively tuning our filters to reduce third-party noise.

We look forward to continuing to work with you this coming year and are committed to ensuring you see better value. I have flagged this to your dedicated account manager; they will reach out shortly to set up a recurring report for you so you don't have to wait for us to see your usage stats.

We look forward to a successful year ahead with you!

"Reliable Platform with a Strong Candidate Pool"
What do you like best about Monster?

I like Monster's name recognition; a lot of candidates go to Monster to post their resumes because they are well-known. Their UI is very easy to navigate, and their new tile format is great for giving a quick glance at all relevant information, which helps me decide whether to dive deeper or move on to the next candidate. I also find the initial setup very easy, as they walked us through each step and handled most of it on their own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monster?

Sometimes there are fake candidates that post their resumes on the site multiple times in a phishing-type scam to try and steal clients. This isn't a Monster-specific issue, as it's been rampant as of late in the staffing world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Paola Valdes of Monster

Hello,

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We are thrilled to hear that our name recognition and new tile format are helping your team evaluate candidates more efficiently. It’s great to know that our setup process and user interface have provided such a smooth experience for your operations.

We also appreciate your perspective on candidate data integrity. Maintaining a high-quality, reliable marketplace is a top priority for us, and insights from our partners are essential as we continue to refine our platform and enhance our verification standards. We value your partnership and look forward to continuing to support your sourcing goals.

"Monster: Efficient Candidate Sourcing with a User-Friendly Interface"
What do you like best about Monster?

Monster is an excellent platform for sourcing candidates, and its user-friendly interface makes the process smooth. The platform offers useful filters to help sort through candidates efficiently. What I appreciate most about Monster is the overview it provides of each resume’s content, which saves me from unnecessary profile views. This platform is especially helpful for handling various types of job requirements. I use Monster daily, and it has never disappointed me, it consistently helps me find the right candidates for my job needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monster?

The only aspect I dislike about Monster is the lack of a visa sorting filter. Currently, it only offers a Citizenship filter, which allows us to select citizens and permanent residents. However, it would be much more useful if we could also sort profiles based on other visa types, such as H1B or EAD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rafael Pagan of Monster

Thank you for being a daily Monster user and for providing such a thorough review of your experience. We are so glad to hear that our user-friendly interface and advanced search options are making your candidate sourcing process smooth and efficient. It’s great to know that the resume overview feature is specifically helping you save time by reducing unnecessary profile views.

We also appreciate your detailed feedback regarding the current Citizenship filter versus a more specific visa sorting filter. Understanding that the ability to sort by H1B or EAD types would further improve your workflow is very valuable to us. We have shared this specific insight with our product team as they work on enhancing our filtering capabilities.

Thank you for your continued trust in Monster to help you find the right candidates!

The Monster Dash board is used for Job seekers, Employers, and recruiters. It will used for both IT and Non IT role. Most of the visa holders are used Monster to apply for jobs. If we need only required visa holders like H1b, OPT, EAD we can use Monster, because the power Resume search option is used for recent job seekers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monster?

The monster is used for Canada candidates and Non IT roles also. It reduce to sourcing the candidate while using the advanced search because the boolean search, recent resume updated, location needs are really used for sourcing the right candidates. we can give the more sourcing inputs in monster like, Location, Visa status, salary, part time, full time, education,Security Clearance, and location preference. "My Review for Monster"
What do you like best about Monster?

In monster we can do both the IT and NON IT sourcing, it has two types of search one is Classic search and other is Power Search using it in the Power search is more comfortable in that we have two search which is semantic search or boolean search with semantic search you can provide the job titles and the list of skills you needed and you have an option to mark it as required or not required and in the power search you can simply use a boolean from the job description you take and search it easily both the ways i am comfortable to source the resumes and all the resume will be listed in ranking basis like 9.9,9.8 and so on with that we can easily sort out the quality profiles and there is an filter option which has the following years of experience, location, resume updated, education, minimum salary, willing to travel, relocation, citizenship, security clearance with these filters we can filter out the candidates based on the clients requirement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Monster?

Thers is a lot of confidential profiles in the monster where the resume would be a great match for the clients requirement but they won't have the contact number or the right email which is the problem in using the monster and a you do not get a proper response from the Non IT candidates they mostly do not pick the calls or respond to the email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Rafael Pagan of Monster

Thank you for your incredibly detailed review! We are glad to hear that both our Classic and Power Search tools are helping you efficiently source for diverse IT and non-IT requirements. It’s great to know that the semantic search and ranking features are making it easier for you to pinpoint high-quality profiles based on specific skills and years of experience.

We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding confidential profiles. We understand it can be frustrating when a great match doesn't have visible contact details. These settings are in place to respect candidate privacy, but we are always looking for ways to improve the outreach process for our recruiters. Regarding the response rates from non-IT candidates, we have shared this insight with our candidate engagement team to explore how we can better encourage active communication across all sectors.

Thank you for your partnership and for being a valued member of the Monster community!
