**What do you like best about ClickUp?**

I use ClickUp inside my organization to organize tasks and communicate with teammates by leaving comments and sharing documents. I like the flexibility and modularity of the system, where anything can be built or tailored for the needs of every team. We use spaces as incubators for projects, allowing us to have boards, docs, chats, and timelines for each project. The ability to give access to certain members on certain projects is great for abstraction and role definition. Overall, ClickUp resolves task ambiguity and helps us know what every team member is working on while tracking the actual time spent on tasks.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

Sometimes, ClickUp hangs where the main screen is just loading for a longer time than expected while the internet connection is fine. It happened to me personally a couple of times on the desktop app. When that happens, I switch to the website to finish whatever I need to do quickly.

**What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use ClickUp to organize tasks, communicate within my team, and manage projects. It solves task ambiguity, clarifies team activities, and helps track task time. I like its flexibility and modularity, allowing customization for team needs.

**What do you like best about ClickUp?**

I like how it is an all-in-one tool that can connect to every tool in my arsenal. I also love the My Work area where all my work aggregates for me across all the spaces in my Workspace. I also love the dashboards where I can get a high level view of my teams work at different levels of the hierarchy. It is all for one amazingly low price!

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

I dislike that it has a significant learning curve so it is not just an out of box solution. There are a lot of options on the screen that you have to learn how they function and behave. It is not the most intuitive to the first time user. We had to work quite a bit (a couple months) until we found a structure within our workspace that we liked. I also do not like that updates in Clickup are a bit laggy. You need to refresh the page often.

**What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clickup is solving the need for our team to have a task management tool. Previously we were using Airtable to manage our tasks, but Airtable is a database tool. It does not have features like Recurring Tasks or project features for scrum and agile. It also did not have all the integrations and capabilities of Clickup.

**What do you like best about ClickUp?**

Click Up’s ability to integrate with a wide range of applications, combined with its ongoing efforts to expand those integration options, makes it my top choice among the project management and collaboration tools available. The product is priced at a point that is reasonable for the functionality it offers. It also offers great flexibility on the platform itself in terms of content organization and access control.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

The UI can feel cluttered and hard to navigate at first, especially for a super user, because there are so many options and functions. I’ve also run into intermittent performance issues in both the app and the web interface.

I’d like to see document authoring made easier as well. Right now, all content has to be written directly in the UI to ensure formatting and tables render correctly. It’s essentially impossible to copy and paste from a Word document (for example) and keep the original formatting intact. The AI brain helps, but learning how to prompt it correctly is a slight learning curve.

**What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for a consulting firm with multiple projects running across multiple clients. Our biggest challenges were transparency, leadership visibility, and documentation.

First, it was hard to provide clear day-to-day transparency into what we were doing for clients unless they already had their own project management platforms like Jira, Asana, or Azure DevOps. Otherwise, maintaining status updates through email and Excel was cumbersome and non-standardized.

Second, leadership often had to scroll through multiple emails and Slack messages, or rely on weekly consolidated status updates for each project, which led to wasted time and energy.

Third, documentation was scattered across files uploaded to Google Drive and OneDrive, and sometimes it was even inaccessible because it lived on local computers. There were multiple scenarios where teams were reinventing the wheel due to siloed information.

Click Up was a silver bullet for us to solve all these problems and save a ton of time and energy. Yes, it was a learning curve and change for the whole organization. Frankly, adoption is still being pushed even after 9 months of onboarding Click Up.  However, we have seen clear improvement in all areas across all engagements where adoption and best practices are followed. At the end of the day, click-up is effective only if you use it extensively everyday.

**What do you like best about ClickUp?**

ClikckUp helps us manage marketing campaigns effectively. Starting with assigning tasks, tracking statuses, and improving team collaboration. The team can share documents, comment & chat within tasks itself.  Most importantly we can generate the reports / dashboards we need—project-wise, segment-wise, and team-wise—as well as view individual/team bandwidth and other related details.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

Sometimes, the platform’s extreme customizability creates a steep learning curve, which can lead to feature fatigue and slower onboarding for new marketing team members. The aggressive default notification settings often caused alert burnout, and as a result, users ended up missing critical campaign approvals or mentions. Even with a low-volume, single-workspace setup and only a few hundred tasks, we’re still experiencing performance lag—especially when loading dashboards or content calendars. Finally, the mobile experience doesn’t translate marketing hierarchies well, which makes it difficult for us to review briefs or approve creative assets while on the go.

**What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like many marketing teams, we used spreadsheet-based campaign trackers and relied on fragmented communication across emails and chats. Now we have a unified Single Source of Truth that centralizes all briefs, tasks, and creative approvals in one place. This implementation has led to a 66% reduction in time spent in status meetings and a 25% boost in overall team productivity, driven by standardized templates. By eliminating the need to toggle between disparate apps, we’ve saved hundreds of hours annually and achieved a full ROI in under six months.

I love having a centralized platform for managing my business, products, and tasks. The UI is intuitive and easy to use, making collaboration with my team seamless.

I manage multiple board types, such as Scrum and Kanban, and can switch between them effortlessly. I also appreciate the ability to customize fields and statuses to match each team's specific workflow.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

Performance: Sometimes the loading times feel a bit sluggish when opening workspaces or boards containing massive amounts of data.

While editing a document, the system automatically inserts line breaks without me pressing the Enter key. It's confusing and take my time to refine it.

The app can be configured and used in a lot of different ways. It’s versatile, and it really can plug into many things depending on how you set it up.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

They ship products way too quickly for their team size resulting in a massive number of bugs and broken features or degraded performance.

Sure the app always runs, but it's never running well.

In our workspace, we have had critical features go out for weeks at a time with a complete lack of urgency to resolve them.

There's truly so much potential here, but the degraded performance and bugs make it extremely frustrating.

**What do you like best about ClickUp?**

I enjoy the centralized Custom Fields and Recurring tasks manager that were added. It makes managing those areas of our workspace more seamless and easier to understand.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

A lot of the new feature development has been centered around AI, and while I understand that, the AI tools aren't as important for me and my organization. We already have a tech stack that relies on Claude, so adding ClickUp AI wouldn't save us money or eliminate tools. I'd like to see some level of focus on non-AI improvements.

**What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ClickUp has allowed us to streamline our PM process, move other processes such as goal tracking, job applications, etc. into one place. It has eliminated our need for a few other tools we were using.

I love that ClickUp is an 'all in one' platform, which means I can achieve more with fewer clicks and actions. I enjoy the task and subtask features, and I find the sheets and omnisearch to be the most satisfying parts of using it. It's particularly valuable for its integration practices, offering a cohesive experience compared to Google’s separate features.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

The mobile app can get a little wonky, especially when offline or in offsite areas with less service. I also wish they would invest in more compatibility for the iPad or tablets to make it easier to use hands-on devices like my Apple pen. It can be intimidating and overwhelming for new users due to the absurd amount of access and features.

What really convinced me were the real-time Dashboards. Instead of spending hours creating weekly reports in Excel for management, I created a panel with bar charts that updates itself. It shows the workload of each designer, how many tasks we completed in the week, and the budget and time spent.

Email notifications sometimes do not arrive or are delayed, which is necessary for report automation but fails.

The main problem it solved for me was having thousands of tabs open and losing information. Before ClickUp, we had a brutal operational chaos, many spreadsheets everywhere and nothing centralized, key information was buried in chats or comments in documents that no one could find again.

**What do you like best about ClickUp?**

Mostly everything I need is in one tool: chat, tickets, and documentation. And whatever isn’t included can easily be connected via the powerful connectors (Google Drive, Dropbox, and the like). I also like the Claude connector, because it gives me a great opportunity to use Claude and create tickets with AI.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

The mobile app still needs improvement. It feels clunky, and while it seems like everything is included, it’s not quite there yet. I’m also missing certain functionalities.

On top of that, adding users is a tedious process, and occasionally you hit limits where ClickUp then wants to charge you extra.

I love the flexibility of their views on the same database. In my team, every mind is different; the designers hate tables and prefer the Kanban board, the developers go straight to the to-do list, and I, as the project leader, need the Gantt chart to control the delivery deadlines. All in one place.

It is good to tackle multiple functionalities, but having so many benefits also means a steep learning curve. Even though instructions arrive, there are so many options that there might be some that go unused.

Previously, the broken phone was a mess, everyone did what they wanted, now I can control who and what each person does, even talking to the team via chat and assigning some kind of priority.

I absolutely love the task management system of ClickUp and really love the easily structured files and folders. It has provided one place to keep everything, which helps me continue building, changing, and adapting as I progress. ClickUp allows me to easily share information with others who might help me on a project and keeps all my business details and tasks organized. It's super easy and intuitive to set up, so I didn't need a lot of outside assistance, which is part of why I love it. The platform helps me track everything and communicate effectively with others daily, making collaboration easier. I also appreciate that documents can be referenced in tasks and vice versa, along with the ability to mention and tag people. Ultimately, ClickUp has been amazing for managing my work as a solopreneur.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

I'm trying to understand how to use the super agents, and I'm still struggling with that a little bit. I should have watched more videos on how to set things up originally. I just kind of did it on my own. I think maybe more use cases, especially for my situation as a solo founder, could be helpful. I would like if I could contact ClickUp through chat GPT more easily, without using a program like Make.

Given that I have a product based business (www.GiddyupGlove.com) and also a kids podcast (Giddyup Guide to the Galaxy: Mindfulness Stories for Kids), I am constantly doing many different things at the same time.  ClickUp centralizes all my business details, preventing information scatter. It facilitates project sharing, task management, and documentation, making it easier to build, adapt, and collaborate. I can store product development details and tasks in one place, which keeps me organized.

ClickUp offers a remarkable level of flexibility for teams that need to model complex workflows. The hierarchical structure of Spaces, Folders, and Lists — combined with custom fields and multiple views — makes it possible to build a real execution system, not just a to-do list. The ability to connect tasks across different contexts (like OKR tracking alongside operational work) is genuinely powerful once configured correctly. That said, it takes significant upfront investment to get the structure right, and multi-list tracking can still feel overwhelming in day-to-day use. For teams willing to put in that effort, the visibility and traceability it enables are hard to find elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

The biggest frustration is that ClickUp's training materials are fragmented and siloed. They teach features in isolation — how to create a task, how to set up a view — but never show how to connect everything across an entire company. For teams trying to use ClickUp as a unified execution system (not just a personal task manager), this gap is significant. It's hard to onboard cross-functional teams and build a shared working culture when the official guidance doesn't address how different areas should collaborate, share visibility, or hand off work to each other. The learning curve ends up falling entirely on internal champions, which slows adoption and makes it difficult to get the whole organization aligned on a single system.

**What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We adopted ClickUp with the goal of connecting strategic planning and operational execution in a single platform — centralizing OKR tracking, project workflows, and cross-functional visibility. The potential is clearly there, but we haven't fully realized those benefits yet. The main barrier has been the difficulty of getting the entire organization to work within the same system consistently. We're still in the process of building that discipline internally. The platform has the right capabilities for what we need; the challenge is bridging the gap between a well-designed structure and actual company-wide adoption.

ClickUp has many features that allow me to build my own productivity workflows with custom fields.

For example, we once built a workflow where we defined the bonus for each task in a custom variable, which then could easily be set and read for the payout.

ClickUp is in most cases pretty slow when it comes to reacting to something or loading sites.

Tasks scattered across emails, spreadsheets, and chat threads. Now everything lives in one place, and my team knows exactly what's happening at every stage of a project.

As a student who relies heavily on AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Notion to survive my courseload and research work discovering ClickUp felt like stumbling into a powerhouse upgrade. I haven't even scraped the bottom of what it can do yet, but just using it at a medium level has completely changed how I manage my semester. The UI was honestly super intimidating at first, there are so many layers of spaces, folders, and lists that it felt like overkill for just tracking homework, also i love the gradient theme. But once I got past that initial learning curve, the flexibility blew me away. I Haven't yet explored deep integration with other services in ClickUp, but I know that'll be super good too. Performance-based, it’s snappy enough for my needs, and the price point is a total steal since the Free Forever plan gives you so much without forcing a broke college kid to upgrade. What really sold me, though, was playing around with ClickUp Brain. Since I'm already used to AI, having an assistant built right into my actual task list that can instantly summarize my lecture notes or search across my connected Google Docs saves me from constantly app-hopping, as i have seen on youtube. Onboarding myself was definitely a trial-by-error process since their free tier support relies mostly on a basic chatbot, but as a student workspace, it’s easily the best all-in-one hub I’ve tried so far.

honestly its ClickUp's visual clutter and steep learning curve. Because it tries to do absolutely everything, the interface is constantly crowded with endless menus, sub-menus, and toggles that feel completely overwhelming to new users.  as an AI student myself, i was confused too, initially. If you don't enforce strict rules on how to organize your spaces and lists, it may turn into a confusing, chaotic mess.

ClickUp solves my biggest problem, app fatigue from constantly switching between different tools. Please stop removing features from the free tier as a selling point for the other tiers.  The UI improved, but there are still a ton of things to see at a glance, which feels overwhelming. Ability to easily hide unused features/buttons/options would be great.

It's easy to set up tasks and "categories" them through folders, colors, views, and statuses. When I first started using ClickUp I was missing the ability to have a good overview (where every task was looking almost the same and was hard to distinguish). Once you get into it and start customizing it to your needs and wants, it is actually very simple and straightforward to use. I may only use it at the forever free pricing capacity between myself and my manager, but we both enjoy the easy of use.

The ability to test certain features for a limited time, then have a pay wall come up when you're used the maximum test ability can be a bit annoying. My main irritation with it is the fact that I was using a feature I didn't know was a paid for feature until I was told I could no longer use it. Sometimes switching between workspaces can be a bit slow.

Right now this is a simpler and more straightforward task management program for myself and my manager. The interface is still a bit cluttered, but I can organize it well to maintain my focus. The integrations I have been using so far have worked very well, only the Google calendar doesn't sync well with the task it's linked to. I don't have performance issues, only rarely does the system take a while to respond. The support is still somewhat lacking because I need to express myself in English, but the AI in support works in a way that meets my needs. The biggest problem for me is really the price, everything is very expensive and sometimes I need a function that is in another plan, just one specific function, and I would have to subscribe to a more expensive plan just to get something I need. They should make a comparison and align with the reality of Brazil to offer a more affordable price and encourage more people to subscribe here in our country.

It makes me feel in control of my life because I can always know what's important and what's not, giving me peace of mind. I really like the goals tool that helps me track whether I'm on track or not. With their AI agents, I'm excited to implement automation into my workflows, which frees up my time by handling many admin-related tasks. The initial setup was very easy and intuitive, and I'm impressed with the ClickUp UX team. When my team switched from Trello to ClickUp, it was because ClickUp could track our strategy and link all work to it, and we never looked back.

I use ClickUp to organize my tasks across work with 4 different teams and spaces, and my college work. ClickUp helps me keep all of my tasks organized, set priorities, and send out reports to responsible teams when updates are needed. I like how easy it is to connect all of my apps and systems together, so I don't have to jump between 8 different systems to see what's going on. I also like the ease of use when it comes to sharing information across teams. The system is helpful because I can ask ClickUp to look at a meeting in one space and tell me how the information is related to operations in a second space and even determine if there are any items between the spaces that will prevent tasks from moving forward. Initial setup was super simple; once all of the needed services were connected, everything began to fall in line.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

The only downside I have seen is that while it is in progress there isn't a native in-person meeting component, meaning it can only record and notate online meetings through Zoom or Teams.

I like the easy color-coding of timelines for all phases of our projects, and the real-time updates for statuses and assignees in ClickUp. We heavily rely on List and Timeline views, which have replaced the manual tracking we used to do in Google Sheets. Now, our whole team can adjust tasks as needed, notify the correct managers, and keep everything in one place for a project.

Being able to adjust subtask dates in bulk from the Timeline view would be amazing. Our projects are several months long with dozens of little subtasks and if the timeline is delayed one week, it's very time-consuming to move every single task manually. I'd love to be able to batch select and move, then tweak after that as needed.

I don't like how buggy it often is. Backend architecture could be improved because I noticed I am spamming the ClickUp API when I try to copy and paste whiteboards into a new board for our next PI (as one example). In general though it often takes too long to load or is sending me errors when switching between tabs or screens.

**What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use clickup as our project management tool and I personally have found the most benefit from the whiteboarding tool for PI planning and from the ability to generate custom filtering / groups and custom dashboards. That said, I wish you could create a "template" of dashboards for example that could then be dropped into place in any new sprint list that is made. It would also be nice to have a particular view saved as the default view and have this automatically apply to all lists generated in a particular folder for example. In essence, I want the customizability to create the best "operating model" for our company while also making it simple to copy and paste that model into new sprints.

I like the fact that we can implement and do things how we want, especially when it comes to formatting and presentation. I also appreciate that it's accessible via API, allowing me to connect what I want, especially if I'm using AI or something else. Using ClickUp as a CRM and conducting tasks is straightforward, and I can integrate other applications to follow up on certain things. The initial setup was easy because I'm used to a Kanban board type of thing, and ClickUp makes it all work smoothly.

Something about the GUI sometimes, I do something and then I need to go and redo it maybe a month later. It's not intuitive. I need to check. I even have to go sometimes on YouTube to find videos on how to do it. I just don't remember. But again, maybe make some stuff a bit more intuitive there. And also lower the prices. Price is WAY too high.

There’s so much you can do with it, and it really can be used in whatever way you work. It makes organizing my work for the day feel easy and straightforward.

I can clearly separate different types of work and systems, which keeps everything organized and makes things easy to find later.

I also love the integration with Slack. Urgent support items alert us in Slack, which helps ensure nothing gets missed.

Whenever I need help, support is consistently a pleasant experience. They respond quickly and help get the issue resolved.

**What do you dislike about ClickUp?**

There isn’t really anything I dislike about ClickUp. 

That said, I have run into some performance issues when too many people are working on the same task at once. I also notice my dashboard can get a bit slow as it becomes more complex or as more tasks are added to it. 

Overall, the performance is still pretty good, and these issues aren’t enough to make me move away from ClickUp, but they can definitely be annoying. 

It’s especially frustrating when a task gets completely overwritten because too many people are editing it at the same time.
We use some tasks as meeting agendas as it's a great central point to take notes and send follow up emails to clients so it does suck when those get laggy because too many of us are on it trying to take notes.

How we organize work across many clients.

How we organize documentation.

How we track our work and what was done.

It makes it really easy to search for and find past work, or similar work being done for different clients.

It greatly increases my productivity and organization. As someone with ADHD, being able to bucket my tasks and organize them in ways that work with my brain has made work so much easier in ClickUp. I’m not just working down a list and being reactive; I can see what’s important, plan my days, and easily make sure I’m working on the right things. It takes away the analysis paralysis.
