My favorite thing about clickup is how it holds me accountable on my daily, weekly, and monthly work tasks. It allows myself and my team to have a place to organize the needs for a project while being able to communicate about it all in one place. ClickUp is great at keeping me organized and on task.
I also appreciate the webinars the ClickUp team sends out to keep me aware of current and upcoming features I can take advantage of for my team. It helps to know what is available to make my work life easier.
I like how robust ClickUp is. You can truly get super granular not just by creating a workspace, but also through various different lists, and you can display them in visually pleasing ways that work best for each individual team. I run the marketing team, and I created a marketing workspace with various lists to coincide with our work. I also like how I can create forms that allow team members to submit tickets, which through automations go to the appropriate list. This makes it scalable and keeps everything sustainable. We can easily integrate emails and upload them into our ClickUp workspaces, and we have connected ClickUp to our Claude Cowork, which makes it interesting to automate tasks like comments and updates that were manual processes before.
Powerful all-in-one tool – huge productivity boost for the entire team! ClickUp has become our central workspace for managing projects, tasks, and internal collaboration. The biggest value for us is that it replaces multiple tools — we use it for task management, documentation, etc.
The feature set is extremely flexible. We rely heavily on custom fields, templates, and different views (especially list, board, and timeline) to adapt workflows to different teams. Once everything is set up, recurring processes and automations save us a lot of manual work and reduce errors.
From a day-to-day UX perspective, it’s also great. Basic actions like creating tasks, assigning owners, or updating statuses are straightforward. If you go deeper (filters, dashboards, permissions), it can get a bit complex, but it is very intuitive most of the time. The interface can feel cluttered at times, especially for new users, and onboarding takes longer than with simpler tools.
That said, one unexpected benefit is how scalable the system is. We started with simple task tracking and gradually expanded into more advanced workflows, without needing to switch tools. It grows with your needs — but only if you invest time in structuring it properly.
Biggest downside: the learning curve and initial setup effort. Without clear internal guidelines, it’s easy to overcomplicate workflows or create inconsistent setups across teams.
