This is one Single application without which I can't function and it's an absolute necessity in ever organization. It keeps tracks of my calendar, my day schedule and need not to mention the primary mailbox stuff.

I really like it's UI, and also the accessibility features including switching to themes, classic and modern modes. The integration of it across any SMTP servers, my automation tools, teams and any office365 based apps.

Trust me, I’ve never faced any major issues with Outlook, and I’ve never really felt the need for additional features.

The only problem I run into is with search. Sometimes, even when an email is definitely there, Outlook fails to find it and instead shows irrelevant emails based on the search text. It also occasionally doesn’t return older emails, especially ones that are more than two years old.

I’ve been using Microsoft Outlook as my primary email and calendar tool, and it has become central to how I manage both daily tasks and long-term planning.

One of the most valuable features for me is the integration between email, calendar, and tasks. Being able to convert an email into a calendar event or a task in just a few clicks significantly reduces context switching. The search tool is a recurring source of inefficiency. In practice, it often fails to return complete or relevant results unless queries are extremely specific. For instance, searching by a contact name or a keyword from an email body does not always surface expected messages, even when they clearly exist. The distinction between searching in the current folder versus the entire mailbox is not always obvious, which leads to missed results unless manually adjusted. This creates friction, especially for users managing large volumes of emails who rely on quick retrieval of past communications.

In addition, filters and advanced search options are not intuitive. Refining a search often requires multiple attempts, and the interface does not clearly guide the user toward more effective queries. I design and produce publications and have had the same Outlook email for 18+ years, so I have always been running into Outlook Desktop's 50GB storage limit (for record-keeping and time purposes, it's a lot easier & more accurate to keep emails & attachments rather than constantly moving/saving/deleting). We moved everything to the cloud that's over a year old, but that makes my extensive folder usage somewhat useless (click on a publication issue folder from 2 years ago, and there's nothing in it).

There should be a way to archive attachments, but still have the emails visible--sort of like compressing/zipping a file. Then the file & attachment sizes wouldn't count against the 50GB limit unless you needed to unzip the email in question. It would be a lot easier for the extensive record-keeping I like to do through Outlook. It's great to have a history of "who sent what to whom" for all publications I manage. MS outlook as we affectionately abbreviate and call it is our Go to tool for all of our professional communications we sent out on a day to day,

its integrated into almost all applications and I use it so regularly that its a part of me and has been for many years,

Apart from the convenience and the awesome looks for an email application Outlook is straightforward and intricate at the same time

you can literally get the application on all device platforms so its easy to implement and add to your arsenal of applications

One thing I dislike about Microsoft Outlook is that managing long email threads can become overwhelming, especially when multiple replies, forwards, and attachments are involved. It’s easy to use and includes extra features I don’t see on other email platforms, such as the ability to mark a message as high priority and add a read receipt. It also is very compatible with other programs I use, like Calendly. The security is top-notch. Email goes out and comes in quickly and efficiently, without fear of it being hacked or intercepted. The pricing I have is very affordable and is lower than any other service out there. It was easy to set up and email for my business was up and running within a couple minutes. I really haven't used much of the AI, but I do like that when I access it from my mobile app that AI has summarized email so I already have an idea of what I am going to read.
