**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

Agent browser and its features, Web Remote, Client chat before remoting into a machine.  The ability to do things from the backend and deploy automation jobs and quickjobs.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

These tools do not work all the time; Splashtop sometimes does not work, and webremote either.    If we could have those tools available at all times, it would be great.     Online marker needs to be improved as well, it takes time to see a device online.

remoting into clients' machines mostly without creating remote sessions manually.

this endpoint solution works very nice and it's a high profile group of applications that every IT department must have it to have our work much easy. my experience is that the implementation was so easy with the help of the solution support area.  this solution is to use it daily because is part of the IT everywhere.

New interface is easy to organize, fast login time and lots of great tools to put into service. Fast reporting time for any hardware related issues detected. Customer service has been great over the years.

For our needs I can't think of one, but more integrations with other 3rd party tools would be greate

Gave me the ablility to login remotely to fix a number of issues over the years and alert me to anything that you can't see on the surface.

The ability to access any and all stations on network with end point security/rmm on it.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Does not keep password stored for at least 3 days.  Every day have to enter code to get in.  But that is also one of the best security features about it as well.

Security knowing that site is protected with endpoint protection and backup.

User friendly GUI, Powershell/CMD use in the background (great for local admin password resets or scans)
Shortcuts when connected to user machine; like admin CMD, task manager etc.
Patching and alerts
Pushing software install scripts

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Sometimes the splashtop feature is a bit buggy. I would authenticate with local admin and it would still prompt the user to accept my connection.

Settings up user machines are quicker through creating scripts and pushing it through RMM.
Remote support is quick and easy.

Most used tool for our team. Automate jobs and web remote.
Easily see activity logs to indentify repeated issues.

Dashboard is limited on what widgets and filters can be used.

Ease of remoting in.
Running jobs which doesnt require computer to be online at the specific time and will eventually push through when it comes online.

I would have to see the remote connectivty capablilites.  It lets you connect using RDP, WebRemote, VNC, or Splashtop.  It has become indispensible in our company as we support 1000s of different groups

Sometimes the GUI on client PCs/servers does not show up even after clicking "gui.exe" in the Centrastage folder.

In this industry, I believe Automation it extremely Vital to success. Datto made this a priority and doubled my ticket count by 15 percent by automating updates alone. The amount of data that can be pulled easily is another huge plus.

The remote viewing tool is hit or miss. half the time it doesn't work and I need to use a different tool to access remote systems to administer them. Its difficult to look at all organizations and to switch between them.

It's possible to customize the interface to show what's more important to the admin. And the remote management agent works quite well.

Not very easy to create custom monitors. Transparent proxies complicate things when accessing endpoints using Splashtop add-in.

It's easier to get a global picture of the status of the computers on the network: OS version, software versions, errors. And it's an excellent tool for remote access and troubleshooting.

Often times the agent browser has problems, Splashtop often does not work, and when the internet connection isn’t excellent, the remote services struggle worse than other remote tools.

this platform is designed for even team members with limited technical expertise. Includes a bunch of good features suck as antivirus protection, endpoint detection and EDR.MDR,  this solution is integrates well with other platforms or tools with simplifies IT management and with their console of management reduce the need for multiple vendors

Customer service team is very helpful, they have different channels of communication.

This solution has been incredibly beneficial for our IT management because have a centralized console that we can manage antivirus protection, EDR, MDR, patch management, ransomware rollback.  that was the challenge and this platform give use all the tools to transform our IT.

The visibility that Datto RMM has provided us on all of our endpoints from a single pane vs competing RMMs have saved our techs countless time. Makes managing and overviewing systems a breeze.

The way scripts are deployed from the rmm make it hard to securely deploy scripts with Threatlocker

Everything right there. Most of the time it provides all the right info in a single pane of glass.

No real downsides but there have been times where the whole things to not be operating correctly.

Datto is a very competent tool that has many great features for administrators at various levels. The tool works well both for partners and internally within the company. In a large organization, it is the perfect tool to get a good overview while offering control down to the smallest level.
I love the feature for running quick jobs directly on a device.

Better education videos and best practis

the best thing for me in Datto RMM:
automatic patching, comprehensive system audits, browser-based remote access client, and system monitoring, easy to manage multiple sites. 

The system integrated very well with the OS with just a single installer.

Overall it's easy to use on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

the new interface being rolled out is not as intuitive and easy to use as the older one. this can be down to a personal preference and it is good that both are still available.

easy to provide support from any device, automating patch management, easy out of hours maitenace.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I love how the filters are built, the layout of the UI, patch management, and how components are built. The customer support is also very good. I have always had good interactions and response times from them.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

The Web Remote is just ok. There are times when it won't connect at all, others where the performance is terrible. And the features aren't as complete as other remote control tools like Take Control by Nable, for instance. Also, it can be hard to find exact alerts because you can't filter by the title of the alert. I think this would be a very useful feature.

Datto RMM has eased the process of deploying and monitoring our software stack to our monitored endpoints. It's patch management approach is also very streamlined and works great!

Even though it is a mature project, it's constantly being updated with new features and integrations. The tight integration with the rest of the Kaseya product suite is a massive bonus for those who use multiple products.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

There isn't much I disliek about the product. My main complaint is that some items are still only located in the Legacy UI view, but these are being moved across in each update/release.

As an MSP, we need to support thousands of endpoints across hundreds of clients. We have to manage patching, security, and monitoring acorss this fleet.

It is work heavy up front to get everything integrated properly, but the payoff in the end is worth it.

It is helping us better secure our clients and combined with the Kaseya 365 User it covers everything we need for discounted cyber insurance offerings for our clients. It also covers a bunch of the requirements for compliances and helps in compliance tracking.

reporting of a lot of devices in company, filtering a lot of devices by various "components"; for example we are doing upgrade from win 10 to win 11 in company, and in every moment i know how many devices technicians upgraded and how many left. One more example is we know in any moment how many people is working from home and how many working from offices etc..

The ease of use in adding and finding devices, finding the specs, the tips and tricks should you need to know more, support is friendly and will follow up by phone or email. Integration with miscosoft authenticator for security is also handy as it brings peace of mind.

It can be difficult in the newer version to see all information about the pc that you would like to see. Other than that very little to complain about

We appreciate the product's intuitive layout, which is relatively easy to understand. Despite its user-friendly design, it doesn't lack in features, offering a wide range of functions and compatibility with other products. This enables instant reporting for faster technician assessments.

As feature-rich as the product is, there could be more information about its advanced features

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datto RMM is capable of resolving many challenges present in the MSP world. We can effortlessly prepare packages for new system deployments, which include complex customer software, with minimal manual intervention. It only requires simple directions to plug in the hardware and a USB, and then remote access with automatic software deployment can commence within minutes, initiated by the end user.

We can utilize RMM to report on software or the system and have it automatically handle tasks to immediately address issues before they are noticed by the user. Moreover, we can also use this reporting to generate tickets and have the technician reach out to the end user to resolve issues that haven't been reported yet. Complex as it may be to set up, software and system patching, with the extensive range of options available, can significantly reduce maintenance time for technicians and decrease the staffing levels required at endpoints when executed properly.
