Datto RMM has been effective for maintaining visibility across distributed environments without requiring constant manual checks. We also like the flexibility of custom monitoring policies and scripting because it allows us to standardize management while still adapting to different client requirements. The platform is especially useful for proactive issue detection before users report problems.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Policy organization and navigation can become difficult to manage as environments grow larger or more customized. Certain alerting behaviors also require extra tuning to avoid unnecessary noise, especially in mixed environments with varied hardware and software baselines. While the platform is feature-rich, some administrative workflows could be streamlined further to reduce the amount of clicks and menu navigation required for common tasks.

Datto RMM provides strong remote management and monitoring capabilities with an easy-to-use interface and reliable automation features. The platform makes it simple to manage endpoints, deploy software, run scripts, monitor system health, and remotely support users from a centralized dashboard. The integrations with PSA and backup solutions also help streamline day-to-day MSP operations.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

While the platform is feature rich, some areas of the interface can feel inconsistent or require too many clicks to navigate. **What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I like how simple and intuitive Datto RMM is to use. It also has a robust feature set that allows for more advanced scripting and application deployment. The ability to quickly and easily manage all of our endpoints is invaluable. My favorite feature is the ability to package applications, script setting changes, and after testing, deploy them to multiple clients with just a few clicks.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

The timeout when connecting to web consoles could be improved. Sometimes it takes up to a minute or two to connect to a remote device. This can be especially frustrating for our help desk technicians. Even just a minute or two delay can be frustrating for our clients. I learned recently at Kaseya Connect that this issue is being addressed, so it's always good to hear that needs are being addressed.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Datto RMM simplifies remote troubleshooting by providing not only remote console management, but remote command line, remote powershell, and remote device information in a quick and easy to deploy manner. Being able to deploy software and manage software deployments is also a huge bonus. It's simple and easy to use. The robust updating features are also great.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

RMM is easy to understand and alot better to use and grasp you can even use it on your mobile to assist customers on the go
supporting customers as soon as they have been added to their respective agent applications makes it so much easier to remotely support their needs.
We have been using Kasaya Datto RMM and Autotask since we started with the Signet IT coumpany
everything we receive on our daily tasks gets handled on the product is so easy to use and so good to customize things the way we need it, 
we provide all of our customers support through the portal which we have running with Kaseya Auto Task and this gets used everyday and every night 
to onboard our customers onto this is straight forward and easy and the customers only need to send an email to get it to the Kaseya Datto Autotask system and we are on it to provide support. 
Customer support for us using the system is amazing.
the application is so good and implemented into all of our systems we use alert tickets CS and the works
To add to this somethings became even nicer like the little icons on each of our classifications helping the newer IT generation with finding the work they need to action

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

there is so much good for a new joiner who never used it it would be overwhelming this takes some time for a new IT guy to get used too but for those working with it it's a powerhouse and a half like having a PA in your pocket type of thing

Everything absolutely everything on a daily Basis

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

It's super consistent and I know where everything is. I haven't had to worry about agents failing to install on new devices I'm imaging, and the automation tools still save me a ton of time. It's nice that I can get things moving without having to do things manually. A lot of times I'll need to install some software on someone's computer and I can just do it remotely by deploying a component

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Some parts of the site feel kind of old, it would be great if the layout was cleaner so I didn't have to click around so much to find basic settings. Also the reports sometimes can be a headache. It'd be awesome if they made that part more like point and click and easier to read at a glance.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

Datto has a ton of built in tools for managing end points. I am able to schedule jobs for device or even sites, as well as access the devices remotely using the built in remote support tools that are available with the service. Working in tech support, I end us using Datto daily to support business issues and requests.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

The new UI of Datto is very clunk and feels like it does not have the same features of their legacy UI, so I do find my self having to switch between them from time to time to get some tasks completed

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datto is solving the issue of having multiple different places of acces all under one room. I am able to find a client device and can directly manage it with a scheduled job or by removing into the device.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

We have tried several RMM products and this has been the one we have retained the longest.  No RMM is perfect (yet) but Datto RMM has delivered on our requirements. 
The bits I like - Patch Management, Reporting.  The integration with Autotask and IT Glue is ideal and helps us provide our customers with an efficient level of support.  It is mostly straight forward to use but would recommend having an internal champion to make the most of it

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Initially the problem of feature updates not being included in patch management was a major headache - particularly for Windows 11.  However this has now been resolved and looks to be working well.  To use the system properly I would recommend training / kaseya university

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an MSP it gives us the ability to efficiently manage and support endpoints.  From Patch Management to Reporting it is a valuable tool when delivering IT Support.  Information is easily obtained for audits.  Compliance is a major benfit of using an RMM

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I like how the RMM integrates with the rest of the Kayesa stack, pulling passwords and other info from Itglue without having to leave the web remote screen. There are lots of components that make manual tasks easier and help streamline day-to-day work. The UI is clean and has a modern look.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

There isn’t really anything specific that I dislike about Datto RMM. I’ve used Connectwise Automate and Ninja RMM before, and they don’t compare, they don’t have all the features that Datto RMM has. The only criticism I have is that it that Web Remote can be quite flaky and not always work.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Datto RMM to manage our endpoints, including OS and software patch management. It’s also our primary tool for remote support, using Web Remote and Splash Top. We rely on the RMM to speed up internal tasks that previously required manual intervention on the device itself, whereas we now use components to automate them without having to bother end users.

Have been heavily working on monitoring and auto-installation automation this time around. Been making the effort to do so a lot easier then doing it manually.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Integration can be a little tiresome as it takes time to be sure everything is setup correctly. Once setup though can make things easier. Agent reliability could be improved as well. Sometimes they stop working for an undisclosed reason with no way to determine what caused it.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Datto we are able to quickly remote on to a users device and resolve most issues on the spot. With the right alerts setup you can even prevent many users from even calling in to submit a ticket.

Datto's patch management has simplified the process of keeping our customers' systems up to date and in compliance with their regulations and cybersecurity needs. The reporting of patching status is simple and easy to use, and the integration with AutoTask makes resolving patching issues more seamless with automatic ticket raising.
The Web Remote tools are also very useful. The tool is quick and responsive, along with the AutoTask and IT Glue integration within the tool, the process of remotely supporting devices is easy

The UI can take some getting used to when implementing the system for new users, with the multiple embedded pages and subsections, it can also require multiple clicks to complete a task, an example of this would be checking active policies for a site,.

What I like best about Datto RMM is the seamless password injection feature and the built-in Web Remote functionality. Password injection saves a lot of time during admin access by securely entering credentials without exposing them to end users. The Web Remote, especially alongside Splashtop, provides reliable, fast remote access directly from the browser, making support efficient and convenient without needing additional tools.

verall, Datto RMM works well for our day-to-day MSP operations and is generally reliable. However, the Network Discovery feature could be improved. It can be inconsistent in identifying devices accurately, lacks deeper visibility, and sometimes requires manual intervention to properly classify and onboard discovered assets.

Attach scripts with installation files.
Permissions based on what team members can see. Ideal when internal computers should not be visible to team members.
Update a policy and push out at ones to affected computers.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Since Autotask was taken over by Datto, investment in the product went.
Likewise when Kaseya took over Datto, it's now contract driven. From 1 year contracts to 3 year contracts. Didn't help if you want to drop licensing you are forced on lengthy contracts. As a result we moved away as N-Able has better licensing on this month to month.
Now updating other software is additional licensing, N-Able have this built in.

Why I moved? I had no remote support working 16 days in a month. No sorry, no compensation. Instead, buy more products and services.

I like Datto RMM's vast set of user-rich features, especially for remote access and app deployment. The PowerShell capability to send commands to devices is fantastic because it enables managing a large infrastructure without being at the physical machine. The setup was very easy and required minimal technical knowledge, like configuring users and setting up group permissions.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

There's not much that I could improve upon, it'd be nice if there was a couple more apps in the patch management side of things, but that's really it.

I use Datto RMM for remote management, saving us from sending staff onsite. We manage vast infrastructures globally from one location, saving time and money. Its remote access and app deployment features are fantastic.

I use Datto RMM for monitoring and remotely supporting all of our endpoints. I like the web remote feature and quick jobs. It integrates pretty well with the other Kaseya products, but Datto RMM is great as it is and does exactly what it says on the tin. The initial setup was fairly easy with help from the onboarding sessions.

The windows patching can be a little bit ambiguous, it needs a fair bit of configuring to get it working well.

I like the flexibility with the dynamic filters in Datto RMM. Being able to run monitoring policies for missing software and using that capability to deploy is great. I also appreciate how easy it is to track with alerts.

I would say sometimes the dynamic filtering takes a while to update on the machines, and policies don't take effect until possibly the next day. So if there's a better way to make monitoring policies a little bit more reactive for a response here, that'd be great.

DattoRMM is an incredibly complete RMM product with extensive features that will greatly increase the effectiveness of providing support to any business. There are too many features to go through in this review but the ones that really affected us are as follows. 
- Network scanning. We can scan the network with just one agent being installed. You get a beautiful tree view that you can navigate and move around, or you can get a standard list of IPs.
- Device details. You get a full technical review of each device added to the system. You can see all hardware specifications, event log issues, patch status, software installed (and you can click to uninstall), network information, performance metrics, endpoint security and much more.
- Remote Control. You get three different ways that you can connect to a computer which gives you great redundancy when one doesn't work. You have access to advanced tools to let you do most of your work in the background while the user is still working. 
- Automation and maintenance. This is crucial for us and this DattoRMM delivers. The options to setup automatic patching and updates are logically placed in menus that make sense. It was really easy to get familiar with the setup process and had this process running smoothly in no time. The best part is that you can see the results of the  patching and get access to errors that you can then review to make adjustments.
- Scripts. There is an extensive library of scripts and it accepts different script languages. There is also a community that you can access to get even more scripts if you don't know how to create one. 
- All menus make sense and you can navigate through easily. I don't get lost on them as I did with my old program.
- Dashboards. Dashboards are highly customizable as you can move items around in the screen and add or remove from their library. very cool. Each technician can have their own customized dashboard. You can also have multiple dashboards.
- Microsoft 365 Integration. You can access your Microsoft accounts and manage your clients right from your RMM. This is a feature that usually costs extra, however it is included.

Datto RMM features are extensive and offers great flexibility with an easy to use system. As if that wasn't enough, their support is excellent. You can get someone on an online chat easily to get fast answers to your questions. 
Implementation was easy as you have several options. We are really happy with this program and would recommend it to any company. 
Price is very competitive!

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

The feature I like the least was the setup of Microsoft 365. Unfortunately, the process to integrate Microsoft to any RMM is complex due to the different security rules Microsoft has in place. However, Datto's support was very helpful and I was able to get up and running without too much trouble.

Remote control has always been a problem with my previous RMM program which DattoRMM has resolved. It has three different remote control programs included so I'm able to choose from any of them to connect. The speed is smooth and the connection is quick. It is a stable product. I don't think we've had any "outages" with Datto RMM.
Easy to implement. Kaseya does a great job of having the engineers walk you through the implementation. 
We use datto RMM all day, every day. 
Datto RMM integrates well with other Kaseya products such as ITGlue, Datto EDR, and Datto Network Manager.

Kaseya support can be slow to respond. It takes a while to break through the "first level" of support which typically does not go beyond what is already in the documentation. It is annoying when the support tech asks you to open a support tunnel into their system, and then they don't get around to using the tunnel for days, sometimes over a week. Datto RMM is such a great product, but it is tarnished by the responsiveness and helpfulness of Kaseya support.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

Datto RMM is highly customizable and integrates well into an MSP workflow. The scripting engine is powerful and allows automation of nearly any task using PowerShell, batch, or shell. Deployment of agents is straightforward, and policies for patching and monitoring can be tailored for different environments. The platform is cloud-based, which makes it fast and easy to access from anywhere without maintaining additional infrastructure. Integration with Autotask PSA provides strong visibility and efficiency in ticketing, alerting, and billing.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

The UI can feel dated and unintuitive at times, with some workflows requiring extra clicks. The reporting engine is limited compared to competitors, which means building detailed or custom client reports often requires third-party tools. Real-time remote control works well but can occasionally lag compared to standalone solutions. While integrations are strong with Autotask, connecting to outside tools can take additional effort.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datto RMM helps us manage endpoints efficiently across multiple client environments. Automated patch management ensures systems are up to date and secure without requiring manual intervention. The monitoring and alerting features allow us to proactively address issues before they become client-facing problems. Remote support capabilities reduce travel time and let us resolve issues quickly. Overall, it saves time, improves security posture, and allows us to deliver consistent service at scale.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I find Datto RMM incredibly valuable for its built-in security features, especially the ransomware detection and response system that has been instrumental in preventing hacking attempts on our network. I also really appreciate the automation capabilities it offers, which I use to scan for outdated applications and efficiently roll them out on computers across the organization. This automation feature is a real time-saver, streamlining what could otherwise be a very tedious process. Datto RMM also stands out for its ease of use compared to our previous solution; the initial setup was straightforward, allowing us to integrate it into our operations without any complications. Its compatibility with both Windows and Linux further enhances its utility, providing seamless operation across different platforms.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

I would like there to be an option for dark mode in the UI.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Datto RMM for monitoring employee laptops and servers, enhancing network security, and preventing ransomware. Its automation simplifies application updates company-wide, making it easier to use than our previous system.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I love how Datto RMM allows me to initiate a restart on a user's device if it becomes frozen or hangs, which is incredibly useful for maintaining productivity. The ability to check device health and see the last time a device rebooted gives me valuable insights into device performance, helping me address issues proactively. Running scripts in the backend without disrupting the user experience is a massive plus, letting me resolve technical issues efficiently. These features collectively enable me to provide outstanding customer service by resolving problems swiftly and effectively. Additionally, Datto RMM is easy to learn and navigate, making the initial setup smooth and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

I experience difficulties connecting to devices that are online but have low memory using Datto RMM. Additionally, I find the interface for running scripts in the background somewhat user-unfriendly and in need of improvement. It would be helpful if commands such as disk cleanup, SFC scan, or creating a temporary admin would auto-populate, enhancing ease of access and efficiency.

I use Datto RMM to connect remotely to user devices for technical support, resolving issues swiftly, monitoring device health, and executing backend scripts without interruption, enhancing customer service quality.

Patch management a bit of a pain when you approve a patch on a device, you cannot update the device from the same screen.
