It scales well. The ability to create custom monitoring using powershell makes it incredibly powerful and scalable. They have an ongoing public roadmap that continues to develop new functionality to stay relevant.

Bugs can take a long time to get resolved.

Datto RMM is our primary solution for accessing and monitoring customer environments. It would be near impossible to deliver our managed IT Support service without it.

The solution is very versatile, powerful, streamlined, configurable and as it is web-based, it's easy to use.

There are quirks that happen from time-to-time, scripts that don't run properly, UI changes that sometimes doesn't make sense and/or the web-based remote access doesn't work (once every so often).

There is not much we don't like about Kasyea but if I had to say something, it would be the fact that it may one day make my job to effortless!

The remote monitoring tool and automation of tasks allows us to concentrate on other needs within the IT environment for our clients. The ease of connecting securely to our clients devices helps us troubleshoot and repair in quicker times.
The datto backup saves all the data we need in case we have to get someone back online in a pinch. It is simple and effective!

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I use Datto RMM everyday to manage the computers in our Organization. IT has all the features you need, easy apply of Policies, Alert and Device management. Lots of ways to Filter out devices, alerts, software, you name it! Once its installed on a device, datto filters all the hardware and software information from that device, such as serial number, computern name, ability to remote in quickly, run powershell commands without connecting to the laptop, browse local files and run jobs, installing software. It can read out the hardware information. Easy to install and integrate, customer support is on point.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

At the moment there are no parts of the app that I dislike. The app gets updated frequently and new features get added.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes my job easier everyday, when it comes to remoting quickly to support, or install software, filter or get any information about a device, server or user.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

Kaseya/Datto's RMM software is undoubtedly one of the most intuitive and feature-rich ones out there. Is not overly complex while still retaining great functionality. In particular, the automative features of Datto RMM (e.g. components & Jobs) are great, especially when it comes to the management of larger device fleets. Datto Patch Management is also above average and generally allows us to maintain a good patch status across our managed machines. Another good thing about the RMM is that by using filters and device groups, you can easily cull old devices, ensuring that you can stay under your license limit while also being able to regain access to any deleted devices that come back online. 

Support is generally helpful and prompt, especially live-chat support. You can easily get support for a particular product through the Kaseya Helpdesk, where you select the product and contact method.

Though I have personally had less hands-on experience with the other products/services included in Kaseya 365 Endpoint, I have had a good experience with Endpoint Backup - that is restoring individual files as well as whole machines.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

With respect to Datto RMM, persistent auditing inconsistencies and flaws in compliance and status calculations have caused us issues. For example, with Software Management, there is little flexibility when it comes to configuring compliance criteria. You either have the choice of configuring it to push software/application updates "on detection" (when it detects that a particular software does not have the latest version) or you can schedule it.  This setup becomes a problem with frequently updated software. Even a minor version difference marks a device as "non-compliant",. However, we often find that the Software Management policy doesn’t always correct non-compliance on its own, requiring us to manually trigger update jobs. This not only adds extra work but also affects the compliance reports we share with clients.

Another issue is how Datto RMM handles antivirus (AV) status. Sometimes, when a device is shutting down, the system flags its AV status as "not running" and doesn't update it until the device comes back online. This leads to misleading reports, making it look like machines are unprotected when they’re not.

Both issues have been reported to support, but so far, there's no fix. These aren't major issues as they mainly impact the reporting side of things and do not actually affect security/compliance.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kaseya 365 Endpoint has assisted in solving the limitations of remote support. Datto Agent in particular allows us a lot more control over machines that would otherwise be much harder to get - for example, opening command shells on remote devices in the background, editing registry items, monitoring resources, managing files & viewing processes. This would usually require us to take full control of a device, forcing users to stop their work.

Kaseya 365 Endpoint is also facilitating our transition to Windows 11 ahead of the Windows 10 EOL. With RMM features such as jobs and components, we are rolling out updates to machines on a mass scale while having the added security of Endpoint backup which allows us to restore any data that is potentially lost from update failures. This has increased the confidence of our customers and has allowed them to put more trust into our hands.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I don't use the whole suit of services that are offered as I us the RMM for residential clients. It has left me in a bit of a situation as I would like to offer advanced servies to clients but I can't. However the staff at Kaseya are keen to help refine their software and knowledge so I can offer as many services as possible.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

I find that the software can be slow at times. Especially when establishing the RMM agent on a client device that is a little older. But after the wait (5-30minutes) everything works as it should.

It allows me to work with remote clients from all over the globe. Being able to offer diagnostics and often fixing issues before they become a problem. Datto RMM is honestly a keystone in my business.

It is safe and easy to use, and it is very comprehensive, allowing more options than its competitors. It is scalable, and easy to implement and integrate, which improves the productivity and responsiveness of the support provided.

Sometimes the Massive Jobs (more than 50 teams) stop working and there is no option to see in which process they got stuck. This forces you to delete the job and run it again.

Agent software instability: It has happened to me that the agent software can be unstable and stops syncing, and I can't fix it remotely. I have to go and reinstall the agent for it to work again.

Login issues: If you try to log in with your KaseyaOne credentials before your Datto RMM user account is fully set up, you will receive an invalid username/password error.

Response time! being a cloud service tool its given that Internet Bandwidth will have its limits when it comes to connectivity issues. There should be focused effort in finding ways to make using Kaseya tools responsive everytime.

The number of features is staggering. It's amazing to see that you can approach your backed up data from several angles, from targeting a specific file to booting up a whole machine in mere minutes.

Probably what everyone dislikes—price. But then again, can you really put a price on your peace of mind.

Datto is quite easy to use, I didn't have to train much to use it. Youcould tweak as much as you want, even on a not-so-good internet connection, you could turn off some features to reduce bandwidth consumption. Great user interface and doesn't eat up your screen space, users hardly notice the client is even running on their device as it leave close to no footprints. No crashes, and good security feature, in the sense that you could ensure user's screen is locked as soon as you disconnect, ensuring no unauthorised access to user's device.

Nothing. I like the fact that it just works.

I like the availability of all key information needed in a moments notice, as well as the control and tools built in, and the extensive metrics to go off. I've been using Datto RMM for a few years now, and it has been the most useful tool in my arsenal. The interface is beatiful and easy to navigate to get to what you need. Deploying and implementing the agent is a breeze and happens swiftly with many options. The support has been impeccible compared to other services, and I use this software every day. The benefit of Datto RMM is it's ability to integrate with key systems and deploy across our domain with ease.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

I do wish it was easier to etablish the endpoint on MacOS devices, however that is more of an Apple issue and less of a Datto RMM issue.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to see company-wide metrics for devices including servers, workstations, and virtual machines, and the ability to patch those devices with a policy or campaign, and review system details including installed applications. With the integration with Splashtop and many of the in-browser and on-desktop tools, this software is as close to a perfect software as one can be.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

The speed and the smooth detection of activity in the devices, even if they are just starting up! We notice that it detects activity when other tools get disconnected (For example, during the light blue update screen). Another great tool is the fact that you can install programs using just jobs, which makes the onboarding and implementation easy, even if you just have access to a Domain controller that allows you to populate the agent using it.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

I would like to suggest an easier way to create personalized jobs (To add third party software in the installer jobs) . Additionally, I've noticed that the Datto Desktop application has a variety of features, but not everyone on my team is utilizing them. I believe it would be beneficial to promote the desktop application more, as it provides a comprehensive interface for managing services, files, and much more.

Another suggestion is to integrate a command shell (CMD) directly into the web platform. This would allow users to access devices more quickly, which would be especially useful for tasks like changing local passwords. Since we frequently need to make such changes, adding this feature would significantly improve the processing speed and overall efficiency of these requests.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Datto helps us mainly with network monitoring and automating jobs to run scripts and install software. This is a huge help daily because we, as MSPs, need to keep an eye on all the customers and we should be able to see any alerts ordered by priority and devices, so the dashboard is one the best parts of the whole web platform. Same with the automated job panel, we integrated Trend Micro solution to it. Now, in every onboarding install the software and the antivirus solution are as easy as a couple of clicks to create a job and assign devices. I would recommend Datto to any IT Company, definitely is a game changer if you learn how to use it!

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

- You can make custom script and deploy them to devices.
- It supports connection with ESXi, printers and also SNMP devices, so you have monitoring on one location.
- Gives me an easy over view all the devices and can create filters and groups of devices/customers to apply Policies and scripts correctly.
- The build in Web remote funktion is awesome, so you don't need to use an agent to connect to a device.
- It has integration with ITGlue, so you can find and paste customers device logins with opening a seperat window.
- Possible to give custom permissions to customers
- Can give mail alerts and also through Webhooks

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

- As an MSP would I love to see more, that it be possible to make small changes to policies for some customers, but they are all based on a Global Policy. You have to create custome policies for the customers, who want something else, a small help is that you are able to copy existing policies.
- Web remote is awesome, but sometimes is it a bit slow.
- Better permission control for MSP users, fx you have to be administrator to create a new site, but our normal users should need this, so to many permissions

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To keep our customers device updated with the newest security updates and patches.
Monitor devices, about their health and for servers is it also to ensure that critical services is monitored and kept online.
Give us a central location to manage all our devices.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

Datto RMM is offers an excellent balance of powerful features and ease of use.  It was pretty easy to get started and up and running.

As a user of other Kaseya products such as Autotask and IT Glue, the integrations are the best that I've seen.

I not big into scripting so the library of pre-approved scripting and the number of vendors that have integrations is great.

I like that I can get support by phone when needed.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Datto RMM may not the be the most powerful RMM available but it gets the job done.  The software management features could use some improvement.  For example, the RMM doesn't allow you to uninstall all software packages remotely.

Mac support is limited.  I really can't use Web remote on a Mac client.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Next to our PSA (Autotask), Datto RMM is the core software used to provide support to our clients.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I have used probably 5 or 6 RMM platforms in my career, and they all have their advantages and disadvantages.  DattoRMM is great if you are looking for an integrated solution with other Kaseya products.  The ability to hop over to other systems in a flash saves time and "Time is Money".  But the best thing I like about DattoRMM (and Kaseya for that matter) is their support.  Opening tickets and getting service from them to solve problems is a huge deal.  Other platforms (CW *cough cough*) had zero support....and what support they had was off shore and the language barrier was a real problem.  Kaseya is the elephant in the room for a good reason.....and their acquisition of Datto was a great decision in my book.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

I wish there were better and simpler reporting capabilites.  Also, I think the widgets on the dashboard can be expended on....or even givin gus the abiltiy to bring in other 3rd party analytics into it so we stay inside Datto.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to quickly connect to and support an end user is critical in todays business landscape.  Also, Patch Management is a requirement now a days.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

Convenient, reliable, excellent for inventory tasks, etc. The agent is really easy to deploy and is lightweight, but very powerful. I use it almost daily to administer a fleet of PCs remotely, it is an invaluable tool for a remote IT support person.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

I have not had a ton of success with using it for software deployments. We have tried several software packages, and had only moderate success with reacing all needed endpoints.

**What problems is Datto RMM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business moved to 100% remote workforce since Covid, and this tool is absolutely essential for remote IT support. 
It also takes care of all invetory and software managment issues that we had before using it.

The ease and multiple ways of connecting to a users device.
The ability to work in the background without disturbing the user.
Ticket notes being able to add into Autotask ticket for the work completion.

Sometimes it can be difficult to install on clients devices, if they do not had admin rights to the machine and we have no way to push out via policy (due to customers setup).

Remote support of devices and end users is the primary function that RMM is used for.
Patch management is a great part of RMM, that allows us to keep on top of our clients patching needs.

Datto RMM is easy to implement, use and has great automations and integrations. I love the seemless integration with IT Glue and Autotask. We use Datto RMM in our everyday support of our clients. The client loves this ease of opening tickets right from the agent running locally on their workstation. Datto's customer support is always avaible to help with any issues that may arise.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

We do have 1 issue with the Datto RMM, the web remote is not always robust. We sometimes have issues connecting to workstations with web remote, but thankfully the offer multiple remote solutions.

I like that it syncs with the Active directory for all users in the domain. Gives full control to remote access. Very user friendly. works with multiple screens, and secure enough to be trusted. I use it daily, very easy to implement and integrate.

It doesn't work if the user is offline. Should still allow the admin to remotely access any device in the orgnization.

the ability to monitor certain aspects of the computer and running scripts based on that. A good example, we had a recurring problem with services stopping at random. i was able to write a script to monitor and notify me when it goe down and when its started itself based on the scripts.

**What do you like best about Datto RMM?**

I like how we can create components to create a quick job and automate a build process.All you need is the setup.exe script and you can install any software with a few mouse clicks. THis was a great concept brought to life by RMM engineering team. 
I also find it helpful that my organization can rest assured knowing RMM monitors all managed devices for any condition we set to alert us for.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

The default security admin user configuration is way too strict. 
I wish the process to customize security admin access was easier to follow so we can create custom access levels instead of choosing between a few that are there by default.

I like the robust amount of options that are available. It is simple to use. 

Our sales rep, Kyle Brelling, is incredible. He is always available for questions, comments, or concerns.

**What do you dislike about Datto RMM?**

Web Remote is simply not reliable. It is frustrating to have a user on the phone, paying for our time, and they have to wait because we have to use alternative methods of remoting in.
My biggest pain point with Datto RMM is the customer support. One of my job duties is running a help desk. If any of my staff replied like some of the replies I received from Kaseya support, there would be numerous 1 on 1 private conversations to correct it.

The Automation and ease of building custom scripts (components) has saved me a ton of time.

The solution helps us automate common routines and track our work.  Getting around the site is reasonably quick.  The ability to review system items and push scripts to the workstations behind the scenes allows for less user interference.

I would like to see more robust AI integrations into the Datto RMM platform to start making automated decisions based on alerts and trends.  For instance, having AI recognize a repetitive problem that keeps getting resolved via automation and brings it to the Technician's attention.

I use DattoRMM every work day. It has great ease of use, consistent UI with oither Kaseya products, not trying to reinvent the wheel when it comes to Windows patching, integration with ITGlue, responsive and transparent support, ease to onboard customers.

It was very easy to get implemented when we came from NCentral.

I feel that some of the features in the Agent browser could be brought into the WebUI such as command prompt and file transfer.

-The time it takes when you send a job, could be 1 minute or 10 minutes, on a daily basis when you are fixing something every minute matters
-Sometimes is not easy to get used to how Datto do things

Daily/weekly maintenance - I do not have to worry about tasks like scan disks, deleting temps, etc
Jobs - Quick assist with troubleshootings automated
