**What do you like best about 8am MyCase?**

I use 8am MyCase for tracking the progress of my legal matters, billing, and calendaring. I like the tasks and workflow features best. It has a workflow feature that ensures all the steps of each case are addressed, and deadlines are automatically calendared. When I set up a new legal matter, I have workflows with tasks and deadlines ready, providing a framework to complete the work efficiently for my clients. Also, the initial setup of 8am MyCase was very easy to set up and learn.

**What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?**

The billing syncs with QuickBooks, but sometimes the syncing gets stuck, and you have to remember that the syncing is one-way. In other words, if you delete a transaction in 8am MyCase, you need to manually delete or void it in QuickBooks.

MyCase has been great for our firm. The staff and clients love how it keeps case information organized and communications secure.

**What do you like best about 8am MyCase?**

I use 8am MyCase in my practice primarily for family law and criminal defense, and it helps keep client information and documents together effectively. It really makes my life easier by virtually eliminating the need for clients to visit the office for signatures, as they can e-sign documents. I find the intake forms invaluable for collecting specific client information, and I really like that they're open to feedback and responsive to suggestions. E-signature and intake forms are especially important for us. The initial setup was super easy, which was great.

**What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?**

Not a lot. And the few things that have been problematic, I've sent messages to support or made feature suggestions on the new forum, and those seem to get addressed.

I use 8am MyCase to manage client information and documents, which reduces the need for clients to visit the office. It virtually eliminates sending physical document copies, making my practice more efficient.

I find 8am MyCase easy to use, which is a big plus for me. The organization of files within MyCase is good. It really simplifies billing as our case management system is integrated, and it keeps all the client information mostly in one place.

**What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?**

Large file storage/sharing is a problem for me because of file size limits. Most criminal law discovery videos can't be stored in the case file within 8am MyCase. I end up having to store these files in external systems like a NAS or Dropbox or OneDrive. This means I have to remember to look in at least two places for the full file, and I have to use the external system to manually share the files with the client.

8am MyCase makes billing easier with integrated case management and keeps most client information in one place, though large file storage isn't supported.

For the first time ever, I do not lose time.  I am able to work across platforms to ensure that I document my work more effectively than ever before

We have trouble with integration of e-mail client software and with use of the MyCase file system access.  This is not super problematic; however, the system would be infinitely more efficient if these worked better.  I also use Thunderbird as an e-mail client and there is no support.

Storage, documentation and billing.  On these fronts - formy law firm - it is unmatched.

**What do you like best about 8am MyCase?**

It helps me organize my contacts and calendar.  I also use it for all of my billing and trust accounting.  We have started using other features recently and I want to integrate more into our practice.  I have been very happy with My Case.

**What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?**

My main complaint is when I put an event on my calendar using my app, my paralegal cannot see it on her end.  I have to go into My Case on a laptop and assign a color to the event before it shows up on my paralegal's calendar.  It is just annoying.  I also wish you could do more financially on the app.

**What problems is 8am MyCase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Billing would be a nightmare without My Case and it has just overall worked very well for me and my paralegal.  We have a largely remote work environment and My Case has helped us keep connected even while out of the office.  My clients have overall had great things to say about their experience using My Case.

The client interaction and the client portal are among the best things we have ever had to help with communication with the clients. The clients enjoy being able to log in and view their documents and information, including their court date and anything related to their case.

The downfall of MyCase is not able to delete several events from the calendar at once. The look of the case details when printing is not the best, but it does work.

I highly recommend MyCase for client software. The software is so simple and easy to use for billing, client interaction, and documentation. MyCase has made client interaction so much simpler. Also, the fact you can download an APP is fantastic.

Any issue I have ever had with MyCase they have resolved. Customer service is there anytime you need them.

It doesn't seem to work as well as Clio - some of the functions are a bit analog compared to some of my colleagues using Clio and it is easier to find assistants with Clio experience rather than MyCAse however MyCase has GREAT videos and FAQs

User friendly. Great support. Has all of the important features we need. Integrates with many different programs which makes the experience even richer. The client end of the platform is definitely a plus.

There are a lot of features we don't use that can't be turned off or require workarounds. There are little things that seem obvious that could make the experience better but the only recourse we have is making a suggestion.

I love how easy it is to bill clients and send deposit requests. Sharing documents with clients is easy and fast to do. It's easy to track and bill time as well. The messaging portal is great for clients to get a hold of us, and we love having the option to text clients so we don't have to give out personal cell phone numbers.

**What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?**

The billing is not always easy to understand. We have a lot of clients that reach out with questions because they don't understand the bill. The deposit request character limit sucks because I need to write out a longer message sometimes but can't. It also requires me to send the deposit request every time I edit it instead of just letting me save it. I don't always want to send a reminder to a client if I need to edit the request.

It solves tracking our time each day, document management for clients, client communication, and invoicing clients.

MyCase is, for the most part, user-friendly and has a good amount of features. Clients seem to like the

Certain aspects need changed/updated like being able to move file folders (dragging and dropping) and other small details. Since it become 8am it seems like there have been some changes that are not ideal, hence my lower rating. For example, any new users do not have the ability to save documents automatically anymore, which is very frustrating and would be a nice feature to bring back. The note taking is really difficult as well. When you go to refund a client after closing out a case in the trust, once you refund them the amount, it shows the requested funds as overdue. In firm documents, you cannot upload multiple files into one folder at one time (this is not the case for case documents). There is no date on the timer function so if you don't save the timer that day, you don't necessarily know the date. When someone makes a comment on an invoice, you do not get a notification. So if someone writes something important you wouldn't know unless you randomly opened it. Also, email integration isn't great-saving documents easily and expanding out email integration compatabilities to Zoho or other emails would be very helpful and provide a higher rating.

MyCase has multiple features and integrations so it can be close to an all-in one practice management program. However, there are quite a few seemingly simple features that 8am MyCase do not have that are frustrating such as not being able to move folders once you create them.

I don't like the way that the documents are set up.  Case documents are what I am talking about.  I just feel like there would be a better way to organize, be able to create specific file folders

My case is great for tracking time. And I really like how my case allows me to have several different timers running at the same time.  Additionally, I love the calendar feature.  The calendar feature is easy to use, it has excellent reminders.

MyCase has helped me capture more of my billable time than any other case management software I have used before. The home screen gives me a clear overview of my day, making it easy to stay organized, and the reminders for tasks and events are very effective.

What I like least about MyCase is that, from the home screen, you can't click on an event in the calendar widget to open and edit it.

Administrative features for invoicing, accounts receivables and tracking.  Attorneys are more consistent with billing and billable time is not lost.  Expense tracking is outstanding to ensure expenses are billed properly and recovered.

We do not see a downside. The system does so many things, it is hard to ensure that we are leveraging it to the fullest extent.

I have been a user since I opened my own practice 5 years ago. They are constantly updating features. E-signature and integration with my answering service are my most used features, as well as the new deadline calculator

Conflict check system would be helpful, and I haven't explored much of the document editing feature and just prefer to edit my files in Word.

MyCase is a "one stop shop" for firms looking to add robust automation features without the high price. Having e-signature, document editing, timers, and trust accounting all in one place helps me save so much time as a solo practitioner.

I have been using MyCase for about 5 years now. It has really helped me to get a handle on receiveables. Clients like the payment feature. It is easy and simple to use. I get paid on time and my accounts receivables have improved tremendously.

There are many add ons that are available. But, I do not use many of those add ons. I think that these add ons are being built into the subscription fee that i pay every year and it is driving up the cost of the yearly fee. This practice of raising the fee every year could eventually make MyCase unaffordable for me. I am a solo practicioner.

**What problems is 8am MyCase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As stated earlier, my biggest problem in the past were receivables. MyCase has helped greatly. Also having the automated monthly billing feature has been a great way to keep clients on track who are on a payment plan. Also having the ablility to create a payment plan for clients help to make providing my legal services more affordable for clients.

MyCase is the most intuitive practice management system I have experienced. Website design was well tailored to my tastes although text content needed work (years ago now). Internet security has been solid solid solid. Platform very very rarely has any glitches. Integrations work well.

I have no complaints at all. Text content on the website design is the only thing I can recall being unhappy with. Platform very very rarely has any glitches. Took a while to get my email synced but that was because I didn't reach out and one of my younger staff figured it out.

Trust accounting is so simple. I'm working on making the shift to using the operating accounting features as well.

This app isn’t just something I like—I absolutely love it. The automated payment plan for autopay is incredibly convenient, and the system is really smart. The reminders are so helpful that I’m honestly at a loss for words.

Sometimes, for reasons I don't quite understand, the automatic payments didn't go through earlier in the day and would only process by the end of the day.

There are just a couple of minor layout issues with one or two features, but honestly, that's the only drawback I've noticed.

it's very user friendly and they have a great help/support feature

certain features related to the accounting portion of MyCase could be improved. The print check feature isn't very accurate, you cannot create deposit slips from the system and there are various reports our previous system ran that this program does not

MyCase has made it easy for our clients to access their documents. We have been using MyCase for some time now, and it has become our firm's primary CRM. We accept payments and its a great way for clients to upload private and personal documents. It is very easy to use and we use it everyday. Customer support is very friendly. We also use the lead side and it is great to keep track on up coming appointments.

I wish we could merge clients when there are duplicate entries.

A bit pricey. I wish there were more robust dashboard widgets for billing, time keeping, etc... to have a robust dashboard.

It provides easy to use interfaces that can be catered to the individual needs of our firm. I also like the quick access to time keeping and activity pre-fills.

**What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?**

There are some limitations in how the client and case files are set up that limit how our internal office operations allow us to use the program. While we should be able to adjust our operations to adjust for this, for the large number of staff who are accustomed to old ways of operating, it has become difficult to accommodate them.

Managing clients across offices, accessing files remotely, updating and maintaining files for staff who are out of office

My favorite feature is the Case Management Software sync nicely with our website, accounting and telephone system. I love an all in one platform.

Although I like the accounting feature, I do have issues with it. I have found it difficult to reconcile accounts. I would like for there to be a feature where clients can request and self schedule appointments with legal staff.

**What do you like best about 8am MyCase?**

We chose MyCase and have been most pleased with its billing and accounting features.  Billing is straight forward and easy to understand.  You do have to look at old invoices because they do not carry past due amounts to new invoices, but this is understandable in light of how it works.  It is also very easy to send reminders to clients of the past due invoices.  A secondary issue in our selection (which has become a major tool in our firm) is the ability to communicate with and share documents with clients through the client portal.

**What do you dislike about 8am MyCase?**

MyCase has a couple of areas that could use some improvement.  The first is MyCase Desktop.  This is the file explorer interface with MyCase document management.  The less technically savvy people in my office were used to Microsoft's OneDrive and assumed that it would work the same.  It does not.  Also, we have noticed that sometimes the MyCase Desktop link will simply drop.  This may be related to our internet provider (Comcast), but it is a problem that we did not have with OneDrive because you have to reset the link each time.  The other issue we have with MyCase is the ability to share an entire file with a client.  Currently you have to share individual documents.  This is not normally a big deal, but when you need to share a large group of documents (such as discovery responses) it can become tedious.

MyCase makes updating clients about the status of their case easier and more secure.  This has generally seemed to improve client satisfaction.  The client portal has been a major benefit for our firm.

It is easy to navigate. I love the ease of use. Coming from a law firm where we did everything manually, this platform is so easy to use. It was easy to learn and navigate, and has multiple ways to access the information you're looking for. It made client information much faster to input and access. I love it. I am still getting used to the new interface, but with time, I will be able to navigate it smoothly.

The change of interface and home screen. I was used to the old setup and did not want to change the way I interacted with time entries or calendar previews. I will adjust, but the change definitely added some unwanted and unbillable time to my days currently.

No criticism of the platform whatsoever, but it is cloud/web based.  The recent Amazon Web Services outage was crippling.

Mostly just case organization and calendaring.. client communication is also key.  The client portal aspect saves so much headache.

The style layout is more streamline and it is easy to link emails to the case we primarily use gmail.

Finding contacts and closing out cases the clients get unlinked or archived. When searching for a clients case or contact the search sometimes doesnt come up.

Organizing clients with their contacts and case stages being able to communicate through the portal saves clients time when they have a difficult schedule for a phone call or don't check emails as often.

I really like the most recent update to the home screen. I don't think the Timesheet calendar was previously there and I LOVE that it is now. This is the feature I use the most and I like that it is so easily accessible now.
