I use it daily to stay connected and updated at work. Few things I like most are:

- Can directly raise complaints and suggestions to higher authorities through work mail.

- Calendar helps me track sessions and meetings easily.

- Search and Filters make finding old mails and reports quick and easy.

What we appreciate most about Microsoft Outlook is that it keeps email communication, scheduling, and calendar management together in a single platform. Since most of our internal and external communication still happens through email, having direct access to calendars, meeting invitations, contacts and tasks helps keep daily work organized without jumping between multiple applications. The integration with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft 365 has also been valuable. One challenge with Outlook is that inboxes can become difficult to manage when email volume increases significantly. The deep integration between the email client, the calendar, and the task management system is what keeps my workday organized. What I dislike most about Microsoft Outlook is how often its performance grinds to a halt especially when I’m dealing with a large mailbox or older PST files that have accumulated years of email history. What should be a simple click to open a message or switch folders can turn into a spinning cursor and several seconds of frustrating delay. The search function, which I otherwise admire, occasionally betrays me by failing to locate an email I know exists even when I type the exact subject line or sender name forcing me to manually hunt through folders like it’s 1999.

Crashes and sudden freezes are also more common than I’d like, and when Outlook does go down, the recovery process feels unnecessarily slow and clunky, sometimes taking several minutes to reopen and rebuild what was just lost. On top of that, the desktop version has grown bloated over the years packed with features I’ve never touched making the interface feel overwhelming and chaotic for new users who just want to send an email or set a reminder. Syncing issues across my desktop, mobile, and the web version add another layer of frustration: I’ve often found duplicate calendar entries, missing emails on one device that clearly exist on another, or read messages stubbornly staying marked as unread. And finally, the spam filtering leaves a lot to be desired obvious junk sneaks into my inbox with depressing regularity, while legitimate messages from colleagues or clients get banished to the junk folder without explanation. Microsoft Outlook is the best email app I have used and the first. The way it lets me organize my emails with folders, rules, and categories is excellent. The Mac version of Microsoft Outlook is quite heavy on system resources. It tends to consume a lot of memory and can slow down the Mac, especially when running alongside other applications. I use Outlook every day as a GMT engineer, and it’s pretty central to how I work. The biggest thing for me is how well it connects with tools like Microsoft Teams and Power Automate. I’ve set up a few workflows where alerts coming into my inbox automatically trigger tasks or notify the team, which saves me a lot of manual effort each week.

The interface is straightforward, and features like Quick Steps and Focused Inbox help when I’m dealing with a lot of emails. Recently, the AI features have actually been useful too - being able to quickly summarize long email threads has saved me time more than I expected.

I design and produce publications and have had the same Outlook email for 18+ years, so I have always been running into Outlook Desktop's 50GB storage limit (for record-keeping and time purposes, it's a lot easier & more accurate to keep emails & attachments rather than constantly moving/saving/deleting). We moved everything to the cloud that's over a year old, but that makes my extensive folder usage somewhat useless (click on a publication issue folder from 2 years ago, and there's nothing in it).

There should be a way to archive attachments, but still have the emails visible--sort of like compressing/zipping a file. Then the file & attachment sizes wouldn't count against the 50GB limit unless you needed to unzip the email in question. It would be a lot easier for the extensive record-keeping I like to do through Outlook. It's great to have a history of "who sent what to whom" for all publications I manage. What I like most about Microsoft Outlook is how effectively it helps me manage a high volume of daily work emails in an organized way.
