"Seamless Team Collaboration Hub"
What do you like best about Spike?

I use Spike mainly for team collaboration and communication. It helps us centralize everything - chats, emails, tasks, and calls. Super handy for keeping everyone on the same page. Spike solves a bunch of problems for me! It reduces email clutter by bringing everything into one app. No more switching between tabs for chats, emails, or tasks. Plus, the task management feature keeps projects organized. Overall, it streamlines communication and boosts productivity. Honestly, I love how it combines everything in one place. Like, you can chat with team members, manage tasks, and even handle emails without leaving the app. The interface is super clean and intuitive too. Makes collaboration feel seamless. The integrations are amazing! Spike plays nice with tools like Google Calendar, Trello, and GitHub. So, everything's connected. And the search function is super handy – finding old convos or files is a breeze. Works well for both small teams and bigger orgs, I'd say! The integrations are a game-changer. Like, connecting Spike to Google Calendar means I never miss a meeting – it syncs tasks and reminders straight into the app. And with Trello or GitHub integrations, all project updates flow into Spike, so I'm always in the loop. The search function? It's clutch. Finding old messages, files, or tasks is super quick – saves me tons of time digging through chats. These features make Spike feel like a productivity Swiss Army knife. Spike integrates pretty smoothly with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.), Trello, GitHub, and Slack. It flows without hiccups. We switched from Slack. Spike just seemed like a more all-in-one tool – didn't wanna juggle multiple apps for chats, emails, and tasks. Plus, the email integration in Spike won us over. Less switching, more focus. Setup was literally a few clicks. We imported stuff from Slack, connected integrations, and we were good to go. The onboarding guided us through everything, so even the less tech-savvy folks on the team got onboard quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spike?

Honestly, sometimes the mobile app feels a bit laggy compared to the desktop version. And, wish there were more customization options for notifications – can get a bit noisy if you're in lots of groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionized My Email Management"
What do you like best about Spike?

I’ve been using Spike for a few months to manage both my work Gmail and personal Outlook accounts, and it’s honestly one of the most refreshing email upgrades I’ve tried. I love how its chat-like interface completely changes how email feels, making reading and replying faster and more natural. Spike’s ability to group everything by person, similar to WhatsApp or iMessage, eliminates the chaos of inbox with endless threading and makes conversations feel like one clean chat thread. I also appreciate how Spike pulls everything into one spot—emails, team channels, tasks, calendar events, notes, and even supports quick video calls—saving me 30 to 60 minutes a day. The AI features are incredibly helpful, offering smart replies, summarizing lengthy threads, and pulling out action items, allowing me to hit inbox zero much faster. The initial setup of Spike was extremely easy for me, one of the smoothest onboarding experiences I’ve had, taking under 5 minutes to get fully up and running. What do you dislike about Spike?

Here are the main things that frustrate me or feel like they’re holding it back: • No true offline mode — This is probably my biggest gripe. If I’m on a flight, spotty Wi-Fi at a coffee shop, or just in a dead zone, Spike basically becomes read-only (or won’t load new stuff/sync properly). Traditional clients like Gmail or Outlook let you browse cached emails and draft replies offline—no such luck here. For someone who travels a bit or works from unreliable connections, it’s a real limitation. • Free tier restrictions push you to paid quickly — The free plan is decent for basics (one email account, chat view, some AI), but it caps search/history at around 60 days (sometimes listed as 30–60 depending on updates), limits storage (1GB), file uploads (30MB), and restricts advanced AI usage, multiple accounts, and team features. If you have ongoing client threads that go back months or need to pull old context, you hit the wall fast and have to upgrade (Pro starts at ~$5/user/month). It’s not outrageous, but it feels like the “good stuff” is paywalled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transforms Email Into Modern Chat, But Needs Better Offline Access"
What do you like best about Spike?

Spike has genuinely transformed how I handle email by presenting conversations as clean, modern chat bubbles instead of endless threaded monstrosities seen in Gmail or Outlook, which significantly saves me mental overhead. The chat-style interface is intuitive, reducing inbox anxiety and provides an experience akin to texting or Slack, while external recipients continue to receive normal emails. I appreciate the unified inbox that combines personal and work accounts, along with the powerful search feature. Spike's AI has been legitimately useful with quick thread summaries, reply suggestions, and helps in brainstorming emails, which feels natural and time-saving. Additionally, the extras like built-in tasks, notes, voice messages, and team channels make Spike a mini productivity hub, eliminating the need for separate apps. The thing I like most is its ability to remove clutter from traditional emails, with clean bubbles that make back-and-forth communication feel natural and fast. Conversations being grouped by people rather than by subject line makes referencing past context easy, which is excellent for recurring collaborators, enhancing the personal and continuous feel of communication. What do you dislike about Spike?

I don't like the lack of true offline mode and limited offline access in Spike. It's probably the biggest issue for me. When my internet drops, I can't read older messages reliably, compose drafts that save properly, or view much beyond what's cached. It's especially annoying during commutes or in areas with poor signal. Sometimes, there are syncing and reliability hiccups, with messages not showing up right away or delays in marking them as read/sent across devices. Also, the free/paid plan restrictions feel restrictive, especially for heavier use. The free tier caps things like AI queries, message history, file uploads/storage, and team features, which pushes you toward the paid plans quicker than competitors. "Streamlined Communication, Almost Perfect"
What do you like best about Spike?

I use Spike primarily for email management and team communication. What I like most about Spike is its conversational, chat-style interface for emails. It makes messages easier to read and reply to, saving time and reducing email fatigue. I really like how it combines email, team chat, and collaboration tools in one platform, so I don’t have to juggle multiple apps. The clean design, smart inbox, and easy organization features help me stay focused and productive throughout the day. Spike’s smart inbox and priority features work especially well, automatically filtering and highlighting important messages so I can focus on what really matters. The built-in notes, tasks, and calendar integration are also very useful for keeping everything organized in one place. Overall, Spike simplifies communication and workflow without feeling cluttered or complicated. Using Spike alongside tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and project management apps makes Spike especially valuable as a central communication hub. This setup reduces context switching, improves collaboration, and helps the team respond faster without losing important information. The initial setup of Spike was very straightforward, and the interface was intuitive right from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spike?

Spike works very well overall, but there are a few areas that could be improved. Some advanced email controls and customization options are limited compared to more traditional email clients. The search and filtering features could be faster and more accurate, especially when dealing with large volumes of older emails. Additionally, expanding third-party integrations and automation capabilities would make Spike even more powerful for teams with more complex workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Email Management, Needs AI Tweaks"
What do you like best about Spike?

I really appreciate how Spike helps me summarize multiple emails into a single email, which is incredibly useful when I receive a lot of emails but don't have time to read them all. It's AI-powered and manages my inbox efficiently, reducing the amount of time I spend on emails. I like that it transforms traditional emails into streamlined, conversational chats, making communication much more manageable. The setup was simple too; just sign in and start using it, which I found to be a very easy process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spike?

I think Spike needs to improve its AI-powered options for transforming emails to be more clear and concise. Sometimes, its responses do not match what I expected. When I ask Spike to transform my emails into a single summary, it should do it immediately, but it sometimes fails to transform the emails. So, in my opinion, they need to improve that option. "Effortless Email Management with Chat-Style Interface"
What do you like best about Spike?

I love how Spike transforms my inbox into a conversational chat. Its People Mode is a standout feature, converting traditional email threads into chat-style bubbles, removing clunky headers and signatures, making long conversations much easier to follow. Spike acts as a single pane of glass, reducing app-switching and serving as a communication layer for other specialized tools. The architecture allows internal collaboration in the same place as client communications so no context is lost. The initial setup is famously straightforward since Spike works directly on top of your existing email account, and you don't need to create a new account or invite everyone before using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spike?

Sometimes the chat UI is too good at stripping away data. It can hide important formal signatures or legal disclaimers that you actually need to see. If you're dealing with lawyers or high-stakes contracts, the 'People Mode' can feel a bit too casual. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unified Email & Collaboration Simplified"
What do you like best about Spike?

I love using Spike as my central email client and lightweight collaboration hub. The ability to connect multiple accounts into a single unified inbox and use it across different devices is fantastic. What I like most is the core idea of turning email into chat-like conversations. It transforms traditional email threads, removing quoted text and signatures, into clean, linear chats. The chat-like conversations feature is honestly one of the main reasons Spike feels so much more valuable and less draining. It makes email feel immediate and natural, like messaging a colleague in real time. I also appreciate how Spike reduces the need for constant app-switching by integrating email, chat, tasks, notes, calendar, and even quick video calls into one place. Plus, the initial setup of Spike was remarkably straightforward and quick, described by most as one of the easiest onboarding experiences with an email client. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spike?

No tool is perfect, and while Spike's chat-like conversations are a huge win for my daily flow, there are definitely some pain points and areas where it falls short or could improve—especially compared to more traditional clients like Gmail or Outlook. The conversational bubble style is a game-changer for casual, rapid exchanges, but it can backfire in more structured contexts. For instance, when dealing with legal docs, multi-party threads, or detailed audits, the lack of visible full headers, nested quotes, or easy threading makes it harder to track who said what and when—especially if you're quoting specific parts for compliance. I've had to toggle to 'classic view' mid-thread, which disrupts the flow, and sometimes attachments or signatures get oddly formatted in the chat view. Reviews from late 2025 note this as a 'jarring' shift for traditionalists, with some users feeling it's too informal for enterprise-level work where precision matters. The free tier's 60-day message history is a real bottleneck—if you're like me and reference old convos for client follow-ups or tax stuff, you hit walls fast. AI tools (e.g., Magic Reply or summaries) are limited to just 10 queries per feature monthly, which feels stingy compared to competitors like Gmail's unlimited basics. No custom domains or shared inboxes on free means it's not viable for even small pro setups. Recent reviews on Software Advice echo this, with users calling out how these caps force quick upgrades, and Trustpilot rants about the app 'chasing money over user experience' by gating core features behind paywalls that weren't always there. "Easy to use email manager."
What do you like best about Spike?

I have been using the Spike app and software for several years, and I find it both useful and easy to navigate. One feature I particularly appreciate is how it organizes all emails from a specific address into a dedicated folder, making it much simpler to delete them all at once instead of scrolling through to find each one individually. This function saves me a significant amount of time, especially when dealing with unwanted advertising messages. The Spike app also offers a pleasant and intuitive interface, and it allows you to add all your email accounts in one place, which really streamlines things. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a similar tool—it's truly one of the best email managers available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Spike?

It's unfortunate that adding additional email addresses is not offered as a free service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Spike?
