Consensus is a Sales/Marketing enablement platform that allows you to record short, customized product demos that you can send to prospects. The product allows you to tailor the demo experience based on who you are sending it to and what the prospect deems is important. In addition Consensus allows you to track engagement (if your original prospect forwards the video to others and tracks how long each viewing party has watched the video).
Normally without this tool I would be recording a video on Zoom or VidYard where I don't nearly receive as much detail/information about what parts of the video the prospect listened to or what they ranked as being important. The Consensus portal isn't very straightforward. It requires a bit of training and familiarity to get the hang of creating videos and demos to send to prospects. There aren't a tremendous amount of in portal guidelines for how long your videos should be. Normally whenever I get confused or need help I end up contacting my account manager instead of the help desk on their website.

Consensus has fundamentally changed the way we do business for the better. With the ability to send out an interactive demo of our solution after the discovery we have significantly cut down the lag time between a discovery and the first time the client sees the software.
We get full visibility into who watches the demos, how long for and which areas they find the most useful. When these get forwarded to other stakeholders, we see that too. Sales reps love it because they can build up an effective stakeholder map. They also get a real-time notification when a prospect views the content, giving sales reps the perfect window to contact their stakeholders.
Solutions Consultants / Sales Engineers love it too. Because stakeholders have already seen an overview of our solution, when they get to the first live demo they can focus more on deeper discovery, differentiators and specific areas stakeholders would like to see more of. As with any software, there have been a couple of minor bugs along the way. However, the team at Consensus have been very quick to rectify these and they haven't caused any issues with our use of the tool.
There is a fine balance between having enough content and too much. It can become difficult to find what you are looking for from an administrative perspective unless you have a good naming convention. I love how easy it is to create a new demo board for my customers. I also really like how easy the sales insights are to read and understand. It allows me to see my hottest leads/accounts based on engagement scores. You also can see how long a customer viewed your demo and see their remarks on the important features of their interests. CONSENSUS delivers video content in a unique and engaging way. After a short intro video, the software allows a viewer to dictate what the they'll see for the rest of the video. This builds anticipation for what is going to come next for the viewer, and also provides us with excellent data. I've run into so many technical issues when trying to get my first demo up and running. On our sales call we were promised that Consensus integrates with HubSpot, when in fact it doesn't - it requires paying for an additional 3rd party integration software. Every time I had an issue it took a long time to get it resolved with support. Also, the demo doesn't give you enough options for customization - while you can pick a color theme, you can't do anything with font, or changing around some other text.
