"A Go-To Tool for Polished Presentations"
What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

I regularly use Microsoft PowerPoint for my presentations and appreciate how professional it makes them look. It is my go-to tool whenever I need to prepare a presentation quickly and efficiently, as PowerPoint enables me to craft and present my slides rapidly for upcoming meetings. I value the ease of use that PowerPoint offers, making it a straightforward choice whether I am paying for the service or using it on a Microsoft computer ad-free. Additionally, I am impressed with the variety of professional templates available in PowerPoint, which adds significant versatility when creating different types of presentations. Lastly, the initial setup process for PowerPoint is simple and accessible, merely requiring a download, which enhances its user-friendly nature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The go to tool for creating presentation slides"
What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

I’ve used Microsoft PowerPoint for years, and it’s still my go-to presentation tool, simply because it does everything I need, and more. The ease of use is one of its standout features. Whether I’m creating a quick visual for a meeting or building a full keynote deck, the intuitive interface makes it easy to jump straight in and get results fast.

It’s something I use frequently, often multiple times a week, across various projects, from workshops and webinars to client pitches and internal strategy sessions.

What really makes PowerPoint shine is the sheer number of features. From animations and transitions to charts, icons, templates, and design ideas, it offers a creative edge without being overly complicated. It’s flexible enough for both simple and complex presentations, and it’s perfect for storytelling.

The benefits are clear. It helps me communicate ideas visually, keep audiences engaged, and maintain brand consistency. It’s also incredibly reliable—I never worry about compatibility or formatting issues.

Another huge plus is its integration with other platforms. I often pull in data from Excel, link to Word documents, or present directly through Teams or Zoom. That seamless workflow saves time and keeps everything connected.

On the rare occasions when I’ve needed customer support, Microsoft has been helpful and responsive, with a wealth of online resources, tutorials, and live chat support available when needed.

All in all, PowerPoint continues to be a powerful, trusted tool that plays a key role in how I present ideas and engage with audiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

While I really value PowerPoint, there are a couple of things that could be improved. Sometimes, the design tools can feel a little clunky, especially when aligning elements or working with layered visuals, it’s not quite as slick as some graphic design platforms.

Also, with so many features and templates, it’s easy to get stuck in a loop of overediting, which can slow things down if you’re not careful. Although collaboration has improved, real-time co-editing isn’t always as seamless as it is in other cloud-first tools, such as Google Slides.

That said, these are minor gripes in an otherwise brilliant tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MS PowerPoint: From Classroom to Corporate"
What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

I’ve been using Microsoft PowerPoint since my school days, and even now in the office, it continues to be one of the tools I rely on the most. It’s really simple to get started with—no complex setup or learning curve. You just open it and start building your presentation. It's very easy to use as it's very well implemented. The interface has stayed familiar over the years, which makes it super comfortable to use even as new features are added.

I use it quite often, whether it’s for weekly team updates, client presentations, or demo decks. The variety of features it offers is solid. From clean templates to smart animations and transitions, there’s a lot you can do without needing any design background. It also works seamlessly with Excel and Word, which helps when I need to insert charts or bring in data.

One thing I really like is that I rarely run into issues. When I do, I’ve always been able to find help either through Microsoft’s support pages or just searching online. PowerPoint has adapted well from being a school tool to something I now use professionally, and it still gets the job done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

There’s nothing major I dislike about PowerPoint, but sometimes it can feel a bit heavy, especially when working with large files that have lots of images or animations—it tends to slow down or lag slightly. Also, while the design ideas feature is useful, it doesn’t always fit well with the layout I have in mind, so I usually end up customizing everything manually anyway. It would be nice if collaboration in real-time was a bit smoother, like how Google Slides handles it. Other than that, it’s been pretty solid overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"You can easily create your own digital teaching materials."
What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

When outputting a completed PowerPoint file, choose to create a video, specify the size and the time between slides, and you can easily create an MPEG-4 video. By uploading the created video to LioLio Note, you can immediately utilize it in your lessons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

PowerPoint allows you to insert slides as objects into a Word file and edit them on the Word screen. JustSystems' Ichitaro can do the same. Furthermore, Ichitaro allows you to add sheets like in Excel, opening a Word file on the first sheet, an Excel file on the second, and a PowerPoint file on the third, enabling editing and saving as a single Ichitaro file. I would like Word to also add a multi-sheet feature so that PowerPoint and Excel files can be edited on each sheet within Word. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"still #1 in its category in spite of the growing number of "competitors""
What do you like best about Microsoft PowerPoint?

- the cost of the entire suite

- the fact it is truly packed with features

- the compatibility with the entire suite

- the fact I can use it to create so many different things from presentations to simple videos via leaflets and banners

- the fact that I can make my presentations (and simple videos) more interactive and dynamic

- slide master view and features

- The fact it is easy to use

- The designer generating ideas Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft PowerPoint?

- the fact that it does not use structure like Word styles, which would make everything faster, and more consistent

- the fact that macro still make files heavier and more susceptible to virus

- the fact that designer does not generate ideas for slides with more than 3 elements

- the fact that designer does not take into account the font and colour defined in the slide master

- the fact that there is no way of creating a layout in the normal view (including those generated by the Designer) and save them as a new layout in the master template

- the sharing and collaboration facilities could really do with some improvement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
