"Good For Security. Bad for user experience."
2.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Outlook?

The calendar might be the best part of the outlook app. I like this feature the best because I am able to easily schedule meetings with my co-workers without having to deal with long emails threads and waiting on responses from people to try and schedule a 30 min meeting during the week. All I have to do is go to the scheduler and pull up and compare everyone's schedules all at once and then pick out a time slot that I know works for everyone. What do you dislike about Microsoft Outlook?

Sometimes filtering and finding a specific email can be frustrating. Instead of giving you the most relevant emails first, outlook gives the emails in date order with the relevant keywords and you have to then scroll through and sift through handfuls of emails to find the one you need. "I prefer Google products"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Outlook?

Outlook is universal so in some ways I'm used to using it for work and school and other professional settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Outlook?

I have to completely log out and log back in for each account I have between clients and school. It is not as convenient or intuitive for me as Gmail. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Oh Outlook"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Outlook?

The only thing I like about Outlook is that myself and colleagues have consistently used it for our email and calendar management. It is a well-known tool across the sector. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Outlook?

Almost everything. I feel like Outlook does not meet my needs and brings more challenges rather than benefits. I've stuck with because organizations are likely using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outlook - Should you switch to google?"
3/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Outlook?

My organization uses outlook so it is helpful because we are all on the same platform but if we all switched to google, I think then that would be the better choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Outlook?

I use google classroom, so it doesn't sync with outlook. As we are using more and more google products, it would also make sense to incorporate the google calendar Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outlook is great legacy software but lacks features depending on how you access it"
3/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Outlook?

Outlook is great in that everyone basically uses it in corporate America. That is less the case now than it was 15-20 years ago, but it's still the de facto email client for many companies. It's easy enough to send emails and format them the way you want to. It's also easy to see all of your team's calendars so you can easily schedule meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Outlook?

Where do I begin? First, the Mac OS version is sorely lacking versus the PC version. It's been well over 5 years since PCs have been able to delay send messages—why can Macs still not do this? I know that you can send them later, but Gmail has had this feature for at least a decade. Also, setting up rules is terrible and extremely limited in the Mac OS version. Why can't I set a rule to notify me when new messages come into new subfolders like I can in the PC version? Also, why don't subfolders automatically notify you and then you can turn them off as needed? Finally, I think one of the worst features of Outlook is that you cannot edit calendar events without everyone on the invite knowing that you're editing it. In Google Calendars, it's easy to edit calendar invites in case you made a mistake or you need to update the meeting details discreetly. In Outlook, it notifies everyone every time you make an edit. Honestly, if I were running a business, I would seriously consider whether or not I needed Outlook and look at other suites (mainly Google) as they seem to be more feature-rich than ever (on par or surpassing Outlook). "Outlook is outdated."
3/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Outlook?

Outlook has settings that are customizable. You can change the look of your inbox page, you can create different folders, you can add contacts. I appreciate these aspects of this platform. It is also compatible with program such as Microsoft word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft excel, etc. additionally, you can download a desktop app to access Outlook, or you can put it into your MacBook email app if that is easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Outlook?

Outlook has settings that make it customizable, but the layout of your inbox page is often difficult to navigate because it automatically sorts what comes in to your inbox. I have not found out how to change this setting, but I have to sift through two folders to make sure I am seeing everything that I receive. The way emails come through is slow, and often emails are highlighted as important that don't belong in that category. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful but not that functional"
3/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Outlook?

I liked that I could pin emails to the top of my inbox. I found that feature especially helpful because it kept that email in my mind at all times and functioned like a pseudo-to-do list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Outlook?

The organization of Microsoft Outlook is oftentimes cumbersome, with the user having to create labeling systems for all your emails. It is also much more difficult to search through your emails when using the Microsoft Outlook app on your phone versus using your desktop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
