**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The interface is easy to use and user-friendly. I like that it sends email reminders when I have pending tasks; it feels like a helpful integration. It’s also straightforward to see how I’m doing when I’m working toward completing goals, which gives a clear sense of performance. Since I’m only part of a team and just a user, I don’t know how much it costs or anything about pricing or ROI. I’ve never needed to contact customer support.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

It doesn’t save my login details, so I always have to enter them manually every time.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Work time management. Time management for volunteering. Time management for vacations.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like how interactive it is and how it helps collaborators manage many topics that are sometimes not easy to handle. I also value how it integrates us with others by allowing us to know important dates, as well as being able to see their performance and ROI. Overall, I highlight its good support and the correct use of AI.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The disadvantages I see with Bamboo are that, sometimes, it is a bit difficult to find more information about the company's colleagues; for example, details about their work and things like that.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love using BambooHR for keeping track of my time, making PTO requests, and accessing my pay stub; it's my HR all in one. I find it easy to use when dealing with HR-related needs like timesheets, org charts, and pay information. The ease of use and simplicity of the menus stand out, and I think it's a truly beautiful app. I'm grateful for such a powerful tool that lets me get in and out as fast as I need, so I can focus on work that really matters. The initial setup was easy breezy.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Sometimes finding the exact piece of data can be a bit harder, maybe not quite where I would expect when searching myself. A simplified search capability would be amazing. It would be nice to have a quick-search tool to just easily and quickly find exactly what I'm looking for, whether a setting or a piece of info (like hourly pay) or something.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR simplifies my HR tasks like timesheets, PTO requests, and pay management. It's easy to use, saving me time to focus on more important work.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I find BambooHR to be insanely easy to use. The interface is really straightforward and foolproof, with everything exactly where it says it is, so I don't need to search around for information. It's also intuitive; for example, when I click on my profile, it takes me through everything I need, from personal details to documents. The system is set up in such a way that all the essential information is right in front of you, like who's off work and for how long, or who someone's manager is. It's just all very easy and quick to navigate, making my work more efficient.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I'd say the only thing is, it says to click on the calendar to do your calendar, but then you can't click on the calendar because it takes you somewhere else.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR helps me track who's in or out and manage my holiday calendar. It organizes documents like contracts and commission structure. It's straightforward, so booking time off and accessing information is easy.

I am not able to save a document that still needs a supervisor signature. I am not looking to complete the form, but am given the option to save and continue later. When I choose this option, nothing happens. I am able to continue working, but am unable to exit the form. I had to remove my entries on the form to exit. This slows my completion of onboarding paperwork and took additional time to resolve.

I am able to get a head start on onboarding paperwork and clearly see what is expected of me before starting in my role.

What I love about BambooHR is how easy it is to log in, upload documents for requirements, track my attendance, and clearly see which manager I’m reporting to.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I think they could improve the integration of time-tracking tools. It would be helpful if BambooHR could track time within the system, including screen activity, so we wouldn’t need to use other apps for that.

For me, BambooHR solved the hassle of sending requirements through multiple emails and trying to keep track of all the documents. Rather than emailing files back and forth, I could upload everything in one place on the platform, which made the onboarding process far more organized, convenient, and efficient overall.

I love that I can store all my documents at one place. The UI is also intuitive and it smoothly integrates with our website as well. The response is also pretty fast for the data and overall it is a good value for money option. The support from their team is also great with a great potential of AI integrations as well.

Having more AI capabilities would be a great addition. Having my entire calendar populated with the selectable public holidays provided by my company would save a lot of time allowing me to not go through an external sheet

Some of the more advanced HR features are locked behind higher-priced plans or add-ons, which can make the platform feel less cost-effective as the company scales.

It solves the problem of disorganized, manual, and time-consuming HR processes by bringing everything into one centralized system.

Before using BambooHR, we struggled with manual HR tasks especially employee record management, onboarding, and leave tracking.

As a result, we’ve seen faster onboarding (cutting setup time by several days), improved data accuracy, and stronger reporting capabilities. This has helped us make quicker, more informed HR decisions.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

BambooHR covers all the basics for employee HR onboarding and record keeping. Their UI is slick and modern.  The reporting feature is pretty powerful for someone like me who is working in operations.
 
For normal employees/Managers they have Mobile App and Integration with Slack which makes it easy to use in day to day situations like Applying and Approving PTOs.

Implementation was pretty easy and their onboarding team helped us get started. 

Overall highly recommended for companies of any sizes.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

We are using Lattice for performance management of our team , BambooHR could have built this within their platform so we don't have to use two different tools.

So far, I honestly don't dislike anything, coming from a different software, I like this one better because it's easier to navigate and I like the design.

BambooHR makes asking for my time off so much easier. Also, whenever I wanted to find my earnings or information about my pay in the other software, I had to look around a few times prior to remembering where the heck I had to click on to see what I needed. The dashboard here is so much more intuitive.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like the funtionality of BambooHR including PTO and benefits tracking. It's easy to navigate and figure out as an employee and not a HR specialist. You can customize your dahsboard to be able to see what you want to see when you log in. I personally like to use the PTO calculator, and the calendar with who else is out. It keeps track of important documents and performance reviews.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The PTO calculator doesn't work very well for non-salaried employees. I wish the peer review portion could me more customized for our purposes.

It's a "one-stop shop" for necessary information for employees to have direct access to including onboarding documents, salary informatino, PTO updates, etc.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I've been using BambooHR for about 8 years, and I find it very easy to request vacation or sick time. What I really like is the clarity around our company's 'open leave' policy and vacation benchmarks. BambooHR makes it incredibly transparent to look up the history for requests, cancel requests, and calculate remaining vacation balances as well as upcoming vacation time accrual and resets. It has made vacation balance and request tracking seamless for our company. The initial setup was effortless for most staff; I just had to log in the first time.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Regarding goal tracking, goals are tracked like a checklist. If my goal is 'send 20 emails' (for example) I create an item for that, and my goal shows 0% complete for the duration of the goal timeframe, until it is complete and suddenly goes to 100%. I would prefer if there was a way to track numeric goals incrementally, but instead I need to maintain a separate document for that.

I use BambooHR primarily for vacation balance, tracking, and requests. It makes requesting vacation or sick time easy, and provides clear vacation benchmarks and history. It also tracks goals and assessments, though goal tracking could improve.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The centralized employee database has been the biggest time-saver for our team. Instead of digging through spreadsheets or emailing HR for basic information, everything — from org charts to time-off balances — is in one place and accessible within seconds.
The self-service portal has noticeably reduced back-and-forth between employees and HR. Staff can update their own personal details, download pay stubs, and submit time-off requests without any manual handholding, which frees up HR to focus on more strategic work.
Onboarding workflows were an unexpected highlight. The ability to send new hires a checklist of forms and tasks before their first day means they arrive already set up, rather than spending their first morning buried in paperwork.
The UI is clean and intuitive enough that most employees need little to no training to navigate it, which matters when you're rolling out a platform company-wide. Performance feels consistently fast, and we've rarely experienced downtime.
On the integration side, connecting BambooHR with our payroll and benefits providers was straightforward and eliminated duplicate data entry — a real ROI win. Reporting is also stronger than expected; pulling headcount, turnover, or compensation reports takes minutes rather than requiring IT support.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

A recent UI change has made time tracking less intuitive. Previously, you could edit time entries directly from the My Time widget on the home screen. Now, if you need to correct or update time recorded before a break, the widget no longer allows it — you're forced to navigate to the separate Timesheet page to make any edits.
This extra step feels unnecessary and slows down a task that used to take seconds. For employees who regularly adjust their entries throughout the day, this friction adds up and makes the home screen widget feel incomplete — more of a display element than a functional tool.

BambooHR solves the problem of scattered HR processes by bringing everything — employee data, time tracking, onboarding, and reporting — into a single platform. Before, managing these across spreadsheets and email meant constant back-and-forth and a high risk of outdated information.
The biggest benefit has been freeing up HR from repetitive administrative tasks. Employees handle their own time-off requests, personal data updates, and pay stub downloads through the self-service portal, which means HR can focus on more meaningful work rather than fielding routine questions.

For me personally, it benefits me by saving time, making it easier to access accurate employee information quickly, and improving visibility around team processes such as approvals, goals, and performance reviews. It’s easy to request time and find my history using the quick buttons. It’s also simple to edit if I need to make any changes.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The one gap I’ve run into is that if my request has already been approved by my manager, I can’t make changes afterward. For example, if I have an approved sick day and then need to change it to a half personal day, it isn’t possible—even though that change is allowed and we just want to categorize it differently.

I use it to request time off and to track my vacation and sick days. It also sends reminders to my team about who is off. We have birthday and anniversary reminders as well, which are helpful too.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like BambooHR for its clean layout and how organized it is. It's easy to navigate and find things, which makes it very professional and reliable. I appreciate having fast signatures for multiple approvals and quickly getting information without having to email HR. It's been great having everyone's contact info centralized in one place. As an employee, I find it has been very easy to use, and it's nice to have everything organized. I'm very likely to recommend BambooHR because it's a great experience overall.

I think BambooHR could have better integration with our other systems. Also, I'd love for it to manage all the employee performance review processes across the organization. It could be a bit more seamless to get approvals with signatures. The process of finding the form, requesting a signature, and then filling out the form is a little clunky and could be improved.

The interface is clean and pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. Employee records, time off tracking, and onboarding workflows are all in one place which makes things way easier to manage. The self-service portal for employees is also a big plus -- saves a lot of back and forth with HR. Overall the UX is solid and the reporting features are decent, we use it mainly for tracking headcount and time-off balances and it does that really well.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

The pricing can be a bit steep especially for smaller teams, and some of the more advanced features are locked behind higher tier plans. The payroll module feels a bit disconnected from the rest of the platform and took some time to setup properly. Also the mobile app is functional but its not quite as polished as the desktop version -- some things just dont translate that well on smaller screens. Customer support response times can also be slow when you have urgent issues.

Mainly using it to centralize our HR data and streamline the onboarding process for new hires. Before BambooHR we were managing everything across spreadsheets and email threads which was a mess. The system performances is excellent; by keeping all documents, signatures, and related items in one place. The software integrates the payroll, new hire documents and policies in one place. It also provides links to the IRS and other resources to help verify how to complete HR documents correctly. I am able to work on parts of the process and then pause and come back another day. It is easy to use. Overall, it has made my onboarding process very smooth. I am not involved in the purchasing or cost of the product, but the value seems well worth the cost. I would recommend it to other companies.

Best part is the super easy and intuitive UI and thanks to that the app's performance is fast without any stutters. As an employee, I can view all my benefits—salary, contract details, annual leave, WFH policies, etc.—all on one page with minimal navigation.

The onboarding process was quick. I just had to introduce myself, and the moment I logged in for the first time everything was setup for me.

There aren't an agentic AI features that would help me directly if I got lost or wanted to search for a certain company documents that are available on the BambooHR company-wide documents. I was hoping that I would be able to have an AI agent search and find whatever it is that I wanted without additional navigation.

What I like most about BambooHR is how easy it makes it to manage core HR processes in one centralized platform, without requiring extensive training. We used BambooHR across multiple departments for employee records, onboarding, PTO management, and performance tracking, and the interface was intuitive enough that both HR staff and employees could navigate it comfortably.

One of the most valuable features for our team was the onboarding workflow automation. We created custom onboarding checklists for different roles, which significantly reduced manual follow-ups and helped new hires complete documents, training, and policy acknowledgments before their first day. The layout of the website is brilliant—simple and effective. Since becoming a line manager, I’ve been able to see who I’m managing quickly and efficiently. Being able to check when people are off work, as well as any future holidays they’ve booked, is really helpful.

It’s never underperformed; every single time I’ve used it since creating my login, it has worked flawlessly. The integration of a full calendar is also brilliant, as it lets me see who is in across the entire company.

We are using the goals section to set and track against clear annual goals. This has been a helpful tool to ensure everyone is aligned on goals and priorities. I also generally have found that it's pretty easy to generate the reports I need.

We still struggle with not being able to customize review period windows but have adapted to avoid the workaround and I look forward to seeing how that process goes for midyear reviews. I think the only other thing I would seek is better support. I want to switch to BambooHR for payroll but have not done so because I worry about getting the support a small business would need to troubleshoot and answer specific questions.

Simple interface that can be relatively easily used by small HR teams. Comes with most of the features you would want from an HR system. The AI chatbot is OK and at least seems helpful (although not entirely sure what I would need it for)

Here's a few issues I've noticed with BambooHR:
- It constantly logs you out even when you are in the middle of writing something
- The contract interface used for signing documents generates invalid pdfs when you try downloading it as a pdf in firefox
- Completing a goal early will sometimes randomly send your emails saying that the goal has been updated months after it was completed
- Adding your profile picture in Bamboo doesn't add your profile elsewhere
- Bamboo sends you emails notifying you that you are going on holiday but doesn't inform anyone else on your team
- ical holiday support is very poor. There's no way of setting up a custom list of users that you want to be notified about if they go on holiday and changing the absence view in the interface will update the ical
- There's no way to automatically create calendar events to mark a user as out of office when a holiday is booked
- It's very difficult to see how many holiday days you have available for a given day. The mobile interface allows you to see a graph over the entire year but the web version requires you to enter a specific date
- The hiring module is useless if you have a large amount of candidates to sift through
- You have a button on the main interface that just redirects the user to click the same button in the header. If you know what I wanted to press why didn't you just do the action? I get this is because you want to change the position of the button but maybe if people keep on clicking it you shouldn't try to change it

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like that BambooHR is pretty user-friendly. I also appreciate that you can send forms electronically, which helps a lot, and you can make announcements to everyone if needed. It's a pretty good HRIS system to use, and it works pretty well for new hires and terminations.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I find that the app is limited because it won't let you change some information, and you have to use the desktop version. Specifically, updating direct deposit only works on the web version. The reporting features aren't the best. For vacation, I have to use two reports to get the needed information, and I can't run reports for certain dates effectively. The benefit reports are also very hard to work with and get the right information. Additionally, the initial setup took quite a bit of effort from our HR managers to get it up and running.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR streamlines our new hire and termination processes and helps us go paperless. It's user-friendly and allows electronic form submissions and announcements, though reports need improvement.

The interface is clear and it is easy to find the information I need when I need it with minimal friction or fuss. Sections are well labeled and it's doesn't take much time to figure out where to find something for the first time. I like that it's a one-stop shop for all of my HR-Related needs. I also like that the information in it is always up to date and relevant.

I don't like that they've added AI tooling. Bamboo is where sensitive personal information lives. I don't know what it is scanning/logging/recording and I don't want that kind of uncertainty around personally identifiable information.

One issue that you face with any process or system in any organization is knowing what is your source of truth. There hasn't been a time where I question whether or not i'm looking in the right place.

I like that you can track goals and requests easily and all HR is one place. Being able to build on goals, give milestones and get responses keeps your progress visible. The checkins and assessments do a good job as well.

Sometimes I dislike how often it is pinging me about reviews, but it might be my company's choice. Also, navigating time off requests can be difficult if you need to edit anything or provide more context.

Its much more interactive than the last plateform I used. Not only are there documents, but direct links, time off, holiday calendar, and you can see who else is missing what days. ITs much more userfirenly and modern instead of outdated and having limited uses

Some sections that are not updated by my company (such as  What is happening or Welcome) are showing even if the information does not change for months, so maybe there would is no point in keeping them in the home page.

There are so many tabs for easy access, and almost anyone with even the bare minimum knowledge of the product can use it.

Tbh, I think it’s perfect, but you do need to wait for approval requests after editing your personal information. The only issue is that you aren’t notified beforehand that this is something that will need to be approved by higher-ups.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication! It’s hard to bring up vacation requests and get them approved through chats alone, and there are so many other similar requests that end up being difficult to handle this way.
