It's very user friendly - when I utilize it as an employee, I know where to find things, how to enter my hours, and can access anywhere, which is very nice.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

There's not a lot I can think of. I do believe that we had issues with payroll, causing us to switch back to Quickbooks.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Aumoation is great for a small nonprofit. Also, having all the hiring, onboarding, and timecard within Bamboo helps save so much time and effort for staff.

There are so many tabs for easy access, and almost anyone with even the bare minimum knowledge of the product can use it.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Tbh, I think it’s perfect, but you do need to wait for approval requests after editing your personal information. The only issue is that you aren’t notified beforehand that this is something that will need to be approved by higher-ups.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication! It’s hard to bring up vacation requests and get them approved through chats alone, and there are so many other similar requests that end up being difficult to handle this way.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

There is so much information! The trainings are entertaining and engaging. There are a lot of details you can implement to make it a thorough place to find work information. Plus there's an app which is also easy to use!
The message boards are helpful to categorize information. It's very simple the login, everything works quickly. The Ai tools are helpful if you wish to use them, they're not forced into the software.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I would like to customize some things to be more user specific but there's not a lot of things to change.

Utilizing the app after hours to work on scheduling vacations and having access to employee numbers. It really comes in handy during winter for weather related issues.

Bamboo HR is seamless to use and incredibly intuitive

I wish I had a direct contact or account manager to reach out to with any questions etc. I think having AI is nice but I asked it to connect me to someone to help secure a 401k for us and it sent me to the wrong place and delayed our ability to get a 401k for an unnecessary week.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR has been perfect for our small company as we get off the ground. This is my first HR role and I'm thankful to have a product that is easy to use. The payroll onboarding team was phenomenal and I wish the onboarding team in general was that awesome!

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The user interface is intuitive, and it’s easy to navigate. The Employee Self-Service portal is a game-changer because it empowers employees to manage their own information and submit time-off requests, which significantly reduces the administrative burden on my end. On top of that, the reporting tools are excellent for pulling quick, accurate insights into headcount and turnover.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

So far, I can’t say there’s anything I don’t like about this software.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR solves the problem of fragmented data. In the past, employee information could be scattered across spreadsheets, paper files, and separate payroll systems. By creating a single source of truth, it removes the need for double entry and lowers the risk of human error. For me, that means real confidence in the accuracy of our reports and the reassurance that payroll and benefits stay synced with the most up-to-date employee data.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love that we can see our PTO and sick time, calculate how much time to request off, view benefits, and access paychecks in PDF format. I also like being able to see when someone is out or when someone new has joined the company. It’s fast and convenient. The onboarding process for signing documents is great as well, and the entire integration has met my expectations. AI is really helping us in our everyday life. Overall, I love it.

Honestly, I don’t see any downsides to BambooHR.

I like the way it’s structured to show when people are out, whether I have any trainings pending, and how many hours I’ve accumulated versus used.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I love that I can find my information about vacation, sick days, and holiday dates quickly and easily. On top of that, it’s very fast and efficient to use.
Also it is easy to link with another personal accounts, I feel I am getting enough for the pricing, also the setup was really fast and finding any information withing the software is so easy thanks to the search bottom, I haven't tried Artificial intelligence features but I would love to but the automated features are really helpful like calculating your days for the year for your vacations or even for the next year.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I really do not deslike anything for now, maybe I don;t like the vacation calculations comes with decimals and it makes it a bit difficult to understand it.

Poor HR organization and employee management by automating  onboarding, tracking time off, and improving communication, which can also help reduce employee turnover

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

From an employee perspective, the UI is simple and intuitive, and it’s easy to find what I’m looking for. It’s also reasonably responsive, so it doesn’t feel frustrating to use. I also like that you can subscribe to an iCal calendar which includes all upcomig time-offs from my colleagues.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Nothing really comes to mind. For what I use it for, looking up vacations and requesting time off, it works perfectly.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep an overview of my colleagues’ absences. It also makes it easy to request time off and quickly see how many days I have left.

We also wrote a small script using the BambooHR API to calculate on-call compensation for our team, which makes that process much more straightforward for us.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

How easy it is to apply for vacation, sickness, of child sickness. I really like how easy the review system is it's not complicated and straight to the point. Great that Google login is integrated this allows us to not have endless accounts for each platform. I do not use it frequently but I see that as a pro that I don't have to go constantly to fix things up. It's also amazing how easy it is to integrate it with calendar apps. This allows me to not have to check Bamboo too frequently

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I think having a description like a hover description over possible leaves etc would be a game changer. As a new person starting it can be overwhelming seeing a lot of different leaves so it would be great to be able to hover or press and see when to apply for what

We don't need to manually check who is on vacation when. Helps with remembering birthdays. Makes it easy to manage vacation, sickness etc. Helps us review performances and how everyone is feeling at work without a need to use multiple different systems

I love how easy it is to track my vacation and personal days. Booking time off is quick and painless, and I can see exactly what I have left without having to ask anyone or dig through emails. It just works.

Honestly my main gripe is that some things are harder to find than they should be. The info is usually there, but it can take a bit of digging to track down what I'm looking for. A cleaner layout or better search would go a long way.

It keeps all my payroll info in one place, which is great. But the biggest win for me is having my performance reviews stored over time. I can look back and see how I've improved throughout the years and pinpoint exactly what I still need to work on. Really handy for tracking my own growth.

It's very easy to use. The design just makes sense, and I don't feel like I have to navigate and click this and that just to get where I need to go. I also like that Google login is supported. It is very convenient. Performance-wise, I have not encountered any issues with speed. The AI feature is also very cool. Whenever I do need help finding something (which is seldom), it comes to the rescue and in a few short seconds, I get my answers.

Honestly, I can't think of anything! I am very satisfied with BambooHR.

I use BambooHR for work purposes, mainly to manage my vacation time, monitor leave balances, and complete required training and compliance courses. I'm always up to date, and there is great visibility for the entire team. I love how the UI and UX are clean and easy. I also enjoy the simplicity and how intuitive it is to use. It's easy to find the information and tools without spending time navigating through complex menus, which saves time, reduces confusion, and makes HR-related tasks more convenient. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy.

It would be great to have an option to sync it with Google Calendar so days off show there too without extra steps.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I’ve really enjoyed using BambooHR. Not all HR software is user-friendly.
The platform is very user-friendly and makes it easy to stay organized and informed.
One of the features I appreciate most is the ability to see the entire company’s time-off requests and special events in one place. 
It provides great visibility and helps with planning, ensuring there are no surprises with scheduling.
The PTO calculator is another standout feature. 
It’s incredibly helpful to project future time-off requests while factoring in time that’s already scheduled and what will be accrued. 
Being able to clearly see those calculations makes planning much more accurate and stress-free.
Overall, BambooHR is intuitive, efficient, and makes managing my time off easy.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

It can be difficult to find the tax documents section — every year I find myself struggling to remember where it’s located. The security process requiring a code to approve devices every 30 days can also feel repetitive and inconvenient. Additionally, the “My Stuff” category is always empty for me, though that may be more of a company configuration issue than a software limitation.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I need time off, it’s very easy to submit a request. I also love how clearly it shows what PTO I have left.
Accessing payroll documents is convenient as well. If I need a copy of a paycheck or my W-2, they’re right there and easy to download.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like that it's easy to do reporting in BambooHR, and I can download it in Excel to splice and dice the information as I need it. I also like the ability to keep track of training, allowing me to know who has attended and who is missing training, by role and reporting structure. Additionally, I appreciate the capability to differentiate training based on role and position using the reporting feature extensively. I do like the ability to do 360 feedback, which is truly valuable.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I like that I can customize things for reviews, but not as much as I would like to. And I have noticed some glitches in the system during our review process, where some people got the review questions that we had created that were very thoughtful and carefully constructed, and then other people did not get those questions and just got the generic questions for the review cycle. And there didn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for that. So that definitely needs to be improved. And I'd like more customization in the reviewing process in particular that we could ask more detailed questions, and questions and layers within the organization.

I use BambooHR to track employee training records, identify training gaps, and differentiate training by role using reporting features extensively.

I really like how user-friendly BambooHR is. It keeps all of my onboarding tasks, documents, and personal information organized in a single dashboard, so I don’t have to dig around or worry about missing anything important. Overall, it makes the entire onboarding process feel straightforward, smooth, and efficient.

There isn’t much I strongly dislike, but certain parts of the platform can feel a little slow at times. Every now and then, pages take a moment to load, which can break my momentum when I’m working through onboarding tasks.

I like that it’s an easy place for me to see who has upcoming time off across the company. I can also submit my own time off, approve requests, and view upcoming anniversaries and birthdays without having to use multiple apps. It has also integrated easily with other scheduling and payroll softwares that we use.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I don’t like that you can’t submit time off for vacation in hours and that it has to be entered in days—you can only select hours for sick time. I end up having to Google what the equivalent of 2 hours is in days, and then it just ends up looking weird.

An all-in-one tool that integrates smoothly with our scheduling and payroll software, so we don’t have to juggle multiple apps or do a lot of manual work to keep track of time off and sick time.

I appreciate how BambooHR keeps things very organized, especially when requesting time off or checking our work schedule. It's so simple to use; the moment I opened the website for the first time, I could navigate it with ease. I also really enjoy checking on my PTO and paid holidays; it's always nice to verify paid holidays on the website. The initial setup was incredibly simple, as I just set up a password and everything was ready when I logged in. Overall, BambooHR is a significant upgrade from my previous HR app.

Maybe just adding more items from the dropdown menu like looking for your schedule or PTO, just making more short cuts.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

Bamboo is really useful for me as an employee because it lets me manage my HR topics easily—holidays, salary, and working hours. I also like that everything is collected in one place, so I don’t have to search across different tools or pages.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Well, I think it’s a powerful tool, but I also feel there are a lot of things to improve :sweat_smile: The most annoying part for me is the interface.

-> The home page, it is a brilliant idea, but it needs to be more customizable. What I would expect for this page would be: allow me to organize all the widgets (right now I have some sections I cannot edit), redefine its size, and choose between different models (ex: a small widget will only display a link/info, a regular one will display more info + a link and the larger one will allow me to do an action)
-> The navigation system is horrible, sometimes you expend too much time trying to find the section you're searching for, I think this could be improve, adding sub-sections in the navigation bar of the left and re-organizing the sections. Moving some sections out could be a good idea too (example: benefics as a global category that includes benefits + salary;  Documents category that could include: personal docs + company docs, etc)
-> The working hours page, OMG, I HATE that page, nobody I talked with uses the clock in/out button, because it won't create a good slot, nobody starts at x:00 and ends at x:00, the most of the time you will start at x:58 or maybe  x:03 and it looks awful in the final chart, so, there is only one way, adding the hours manually or the torment 
commonly called. What I would expect from a good UX? Allowing my to apply easily a pre-configured timerule. Exam: I work from Mon to Thru from 8 to 13:30 and from 14:30 to 17. I want to save this configuration and every week click on some button to apply it. If that's not possible, by day. If that's not possible, at least, I want two rows by default (I think the most of the people that uses this tool have some break in the middle of the day) and when I switch from AM/PM, I expect the second row to apply this change automatically. But, for me, the best option are the templates :pray:
-> Info that is redundant and take too much space. I will re-work how data is displayed, the header tooks to much space (company info, seach bar, my photo, etc) This info is not important for me, I need to make a more efficient screen at glance, I don't want to do so much scroll to find the section I am looking for.

I think that's all, I am sorry if something is difficult to understands, English is not my first-language, I hope that ideas would be fine to improve the app. I like the core of the tool. I would attach images if possible, so, it would be nice for this form to allow adding some screenshots to illustrate the ideas.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I like that BambooHR was very streamlined and straightforward. There was a clear line of guidance at the top, which was very helpful in guiding through the process. I appreciate how a lot of documents can be easily loaded into the portal, and I can deeply relook at them in an inline experience. Although there were mandatory fields that took a little longer, the entire information was captured seamlessly. Overall, I feel like the experience was good.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

There was a situation where after signing, the system didn't close and whatever I did, it wouldn't close until I refreshed the screen. It was kind of a hassle. Also, there was a lot of information, and I wasn't sure if it was relevant because there are other things like ADP that need to happen after. I was not sure how critical the information I provided was or whether it would be copied over to other portals or systems.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used BambooHR for onboarding into a new role. It was very streamlined and straightforward, with helpful guidance through the process. A lot of documents can be easily loaded and reviewed later, ensuring information is captured seamlessly.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

The thing I like most about BambooHR is how user-friendly it is. It’s really easy to log in and submit requests, upload forms, and complete surveys without any hassle. I also appreciate that it offers a variety of uses all in one platform, so I don’t have to jump between different tools. Nothing feels hidden, and what I need is usually straightforward to find. I’d say I log in almost every day to check out the features and review my benefits. The PTO request feature is especially nice, and the PTO calculator makes it even better.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

Honestly, the main thing I’d like to see improved is the AI assistant. I understand it’s currently in beta, so it’s still being refined and worked on. I’m not too concerned about it, though, because I know companies are constantly trying to improve how their AI interfaces work.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR helps keep all of my benefits in one place. It erases the headache of different logins and trying to remember all the specifics of other benefits. It also is extremely helpful with company communication, office hours, and seeing when fellow employees are out of office.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

BambooHR is extremely user-friendly. I also really like the humor it adds in little blurbs. I like that it highlights when overtime is added. I appreciate being able to look at all of my paystubs and that it is separated by year. I like that I am able to read about my coworker's interests and that it places us in groups. It is fast, and updates immediately. Uploading my photo and information was very easy when I got started.

I cannot think of anything I dislike about BambooHR

Bamboo sends reminders when the pay period is close to closing and I really appreciate that.

**What do you like best about BambooHR?**

I work as a Clinic Manager, Dietician & Nutritionist, and also create health education content. BambooHR  interface is clean and simple . It helps me keep employee information in one place and makes it easy to manage basic people-related work without confusion. The setup was simple, and I could start using it without much help.

I can quickly check roles, joining details, and keep records updated without spending too much time. I also find it helpful for keeping salary details and basic compensation info organized in one place, instead of managing everything in separate files. The layout is clear, so I don’t feel lost while using different sections. Even for someone who is not from a pure HR background, it feels easy to use. I use it regularly to keep things updated and organized.

Overall, it helps me stay on top of employee records, basic compensation details, and hiring-related work in one place. This way I can focus more on my core work and not worry about managing people information across different tools or spreadsheets. I also like that it connects well with other basic tools and the support is helpful when you need simple guidance.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

There isn’t anything major that I dislike about BambooHR. Sometimes I just need a little time to remember where certain options are, especially the ones I don’t use every day.
A few parts feel more detailed than I need for quick updates, so I take a moment to go through the steps properly. It’s not a problem, just something you notice when you are in a hurry.
Other than that, my overall experience has been smooth, and these are very minor points that don’t really change how useful the tool is for me.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

BambooHR helps me keep all employee-related details in one place, so things don’t get messy across different files or tools. It makes daily people-related work more organized and easier to manage.
I can quickly check roles, joining details, and basic compensation information without going through multiple documents. This reduces small mistakes and saves time. Overall, it brings clarity to people management and helps me stay focused on my main work instead of spending extra time on tracking and updates.

I love how simple the UX/UI is, along with the integrations with my company’s services and the many ways I can use Bamboo (Android, iOS, and web). It feels very lightweight overall, and I find the AI component very useful.

So far, while I’ve been using it, I haven’t found anything I dislike.

I like the app and being able to do most everything I need to there at any time I need to from requesting time off, to approving time off for my department.

**What do you dislike about BambooHR?**

I don't use it often, but sending forms requiring signatures seems confusing to figure out when someone is standing in my office asking for something.  Could be lack of use, but I would like to see a simpler process.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No longer have to wait on paper forms to be filled out and turned in by employees.  We can have information at our finger tips as soon as it's submitted online.

Honestly Bamboo Has everything to offer except a schedule for me. If they were to develop some kind of Scheduling system I would be very excited. But I understand when you add that you will also have to add invocing.

**What problems is BambooHR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its great for the Personal Information aspect, Keeping files for employees and the time off requests are great as well.
