"Intuitive Platform That Boosts Fleet Efficiency and Transparency"
What do you like best about Samsara?

Samsara provides a very intuitive platform that is easy for both managers and drivers to use. The dashboard layout makes it simple to access vehicle insights, trip history, and alerts without digging through complex menus. Implementation was smooth and the system integrates well with our existing workflows, which helped us adopt it quickly. The real time tracking, driver behavior insights, and maintenance alerts are especially helpful for improving fleet efficiency and safety. Overall, it adds transparency to daily operations and supports better decision making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Some features feel limited when trying to customize reports or extract more detailed analytics. There are moments when certain insights would benefit from deeper granularity or more flexible filtering options. A few tools also require multiple steps to access, which slows down frequent use. While customer support is generally responsive, resolving more advanced or technical issues can take longer than expected. Expanding the feature set and simplifying some workflows would make the experience even stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes my job super efficient and boosts our customer satisfaction"
What do you like best about Samsara?

I am in customer service and need to be able to verify delivery status for our customers. The ability to log in and see where a truck is immediately is key. Also, when there are questions about delays I can see the video of any events my driver may encounter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

When calculating the weekly miles for drivers I need an easier way to view the total miles for each driver per week. It may be there is a function I haven't been trained on, but I usually have to go under reports and add up each day for a particular truck. It would be great to have a report that generates this. "Enhances Vehicle Safety with Easy Setup"
What do you like best about Samsara?

What I like most about Samsara is how much it protects both our drivers and our company vehicles on a daily basis. It’s not just a camera system it’s a full accountability and safety tool. The real-time alerts for following too closely, speeding, and distracted driving (like phone usage) genuinely keep you in check. It’s like having a safety coach riding with you, constantly reinforcing good driving habits. Over time, that makes you a more aware and disciplined driver.

One of the biggest benefits for us has been the insurance and liability protection. If there’s ever a crash, harsh braking event, or someone cuts in front of you unexpectedly, Samsara captures everything clearly. That footage provides peace of mind because you’re not left guessing what happened you have proof. In today’s world, that’s huge for protecting the company from false claims and keeping insurance costs under control.

The following distance feature is probably my favorite part. It actively helps prevent accidents before they happen. Instead of reacting after something goes wrong, it encourages proactive safe driving. The voice alerts are also extremely helpful they grab your attention immediately without being overly distracting. It keeps safety top of mind throughout the entire drive.

Another thing I really appreciate is how simple the setup process is. Installation only takes about three to five minutes per truck, which makes fleet-wide implementation quick and efficient. There’s no complicated downtime or learning curve. It’s straightforward and user-friendly from day one.

Overall, Samsara has been a great addition for dolese Brothers. It’s improved driver awareness, strengthened safety culture, and added a layer of protection that benefits both our team and the company long term. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience with Samsara, but like any system, there are a few small areas that could improve. Occasionally, the alerts can feel a bit sensitive especially with following distance or harsh braking in heavy traffic situations where you don’t always have full control over surrounding drivers. While the sensitivity is understandable from a safety standpoint, some fine-tuning options would be helpful.

Another area that could improve is customization of alert thresholds and reporting details. More flexibility in adjusting settings per driver or per vehicle would make it even more efficient for different types of routes and workloads.

That said, these are minor improvements rather than major issues. The benefits in safety, accountability, and liability protection far outweigh any small inconveniences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Fleet Management with Real-Time Insights"
What do you like best about Samsara?

I find Samsara to be a strong and reliable platform for fleet and operations management. The user-friendly system and clean dashboard make tracking vehicles, equipment, and driver behavior in real-time really easy. I appreciate the real-time visibility into our fleet, which reduces guesswork around vehicle location, route efficiency, and job status, helping to improve dispatching, reduce idle time, and lower fuel costs. I also like that Samsara centralizes data that used to be spread across multiple systems, providing vehicle health, maintenance alerts, and performance analytics in one platform to save time, improve decision-making, and help prevent costly breakdowns or downtime. The automated maintenance alerts are particularly helpful as they allow us to schedule service based on actual vehicle usage and condition instead of fixed intervals, reducing unnecessary maintenance while preventing costly downtime. Setup was fairly straightforward and driver onboarding went smoothly. Plus, Samsara integrates well with other tools we use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Hardware replacements or changes can sometimes take longer than expected, so faster turnaround or more streamlined hardware support would be a welcome improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Fleet Management with Smooth Setup"
What do you like best about Samsara?

I find the hardware of Samsara easy to install—just plug it into the OBD port without the need to cut wires or make holes. It doesn't require a dedicated installer, which makes it so convenient. The website is user-friendly and intuitive, which makes navigating it a breeze. The tools within Samsara work great and I experience very little downtime or interruptions. Also, I appreciate the quality of the reports it generates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

I find that the reports could be more visual instead of being in log form. Also, the tracking of past history could be improved, like showing a map with vehicle movements instead of just times and locations. It's hard to export or share this history via email because it doesn't display exact times of where a vehicle was. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature-Rich Fleet Tool with Targeted Filters and Helpful Maintenance Alerts"
What do you like best about Samsara?

I like the many features and the ability to filter specific areas as needed, which helps make the results more targeted. I also appreciate being able to receive mechanical notifications for our vehicle fleet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

There are certain reports and views we need to access quickly, but we’ve had a hard time getting to them without going through too many steps. We likely just need more experience and training to navigate everything more efficiently. We’d also like the ability to view trips all together across all vehicles in one place. "From Reactive to Proactive Fleet Management"
What do you like best about Samsara?

What I like best about Samsara is how it turns real-time fleet data into actionable decisions instead of just dashboards. The vehicle health alerts, fault code visibility, and maintenance insights allow me to prioritize work before issues become breakdowns, which directly improves asset uptime and planning. The integration between telematics, driver behavior, and maintenance data gives a single source of truth that saves time otherwise spent reconciling multiple systems.

An unexpected benefit has been how much it improves communication and accountability — when everyone is looking at the same data, conversations with drivers, vendors, and leadership are faster, more objective, and more productive. Overall, Samsara helps move fleet management from reactive firefighting to proactive, data-driven operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

While Samsara is very powerful, the depth of data can sometimes work against efficiency. Certain views and reports require multiple clicks or custom configuration to surface exactly what an operations or maintenance leader needs in the moment, especially when managing exceptions. Some maintenance-related workflows (like filtering fault codes by urgency or tying alerts more directly to work orders) could be more streamlined and less manual.

Another challenge is that the platform is extremely capable, but that also means new users or cross-functional partners can experience a learning curve. More out-of-the-box role-based dashboards or guided views for maintenance, operations, and leadership would make it easier to get value quickly without heavy customization. "Excellent product for monitoring your equipment"
What do you like best about Samsara?

We have been a Samsara customer for about 4 years now. Their system was easy to learn and easy to set up. They offer customizable roles, permissions, and tagging features. Their vehicle gateway hardware has been close to 100% reliable, only a few failures in that time. Samsara offers a huge number of features and integrations with many different industry vendors (Fleetio, Comdata, WEX, Tenstreet, Dispatch Track, etc.). They offer support for customers who need an integration with less commonly known vendors as well. Their customer support has been excellent, especially their cable exchange program. We use their dashboard, and camera features on a daily basis. Samsara is always looking to add or enhance features. Just today, we met with our rep and got a new speed sign recognition feature and learned about some upcoming fuel management features. Overall, Samsara is a great company to work with and they care about customer experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Over the 4 years we've been with Samsara, we have had a few issues. The first batch of trailer tracking equipment we received was problematic. The gateways would stop pinging their locations and could not be reset. After some back and forth, Samsara replaced all of the older gateways with updated versions that have been far more reliable. Our accounting department does not like the way Samsara sends over invoices or how those invoices are structured. Some mileage reports will give different information between the reports, but it is normally a small difference. Samsara's activity/audit log is not user friendly at all. "From Guesswork to Measurable Fleet Performance"
What do you like best about Samsara?

It supports daily fleet operations without the need for constant manual tracking. The platform simplifies monitoring of vehicle behavior, fuel consumption, and driver performance, all from a single interface. The dashboards are clear enough that managers can easily grasp trends without requiring technical expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Certain data points need extra configuration to provide real value, and new users might benefit from some training to navigate the platform effectively. Additionally, expenses can increase as more vehicles or modules are incorporated, which could be an important factor for smaller fleets to consider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exact Coordinates and Real-Time Tracking Make Breakdowns Easier to Handle"
What do you like best about Samsara?

What I find most helpful is that when a driver breaks down on the highway, I can get their exact coordinates. That makes it much easier to locate them quickly and help get them back up and running. I also really appreciate being able to look up where my drivers and other equipment are at any time, which is extremely helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

I don’t really have any negatives. It does everything I need it to do, and more. At one point, I noticed a few roads and/or highways where the speed limit was inaccurate, but we were able to get that fixed fairly quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
