There’s no “next page” button at the top of the list, so if you have more than 50 employees, you’re forced to scroll all the way down just to move forward. Even more frustrating, when you click to the next page, it keeps you at the bottom instead of resetting you to the top—so you end up scrolling repeatedly just to review records. There are also some disruptive system behaviors. In the ATS, you can get logged out unexpectedly while actively working, including in the middle of typing, which can result in lost work. Similarly, Microsoft (SSO) login can be inconsistent. After the system logs you out for inactivity (as it should), the MS login option doesn’t work properly unless you refresh the page, which adds unnecessary friction. Theres also a lot of features that can be accessed through BambooHR that allow many different tasks to be completed in one place. Like documentation, reviews, time off, etc. The locked performance review feature is nice, so that my manager and i can work through mid year reviews and annual reviews easier. Theres also an app for the platform that makes everything a lot easier to do via handheld device because I'm not always on my phone. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** One of the only things I don't like, is that I've never been able to adjust my picture or details in my profile since starting my role. I currently have my old photo from a prior job as my picture, which feels a little bit dated. I have never successfully found out where to edit that info. Another thing I've had some issues with, is accessing reviews and old performance reviews. I'm not sure how to make it better layout wise, but its not always clear where they are or where I can access them. Additionally the benefits feature in BambooHR is nice, but its pretty basic. I think that having most resources in one place is the most effective way to organize things. Everything I need is in there, and I can find things easily. Pages load fast and I have not had issues with speed or performance. I like the performance management side of it, but I have some suggestions on the UI/UX in that regard which I will share in the relevant sections. Onboarding is also made easy when we have new employees. I love the new AI feature as well which helps locate some company documents quicker. I regularly use the calendar function to check who is off as well. I have Bamboo integrated with Slack as well, which is really useful. I am not involved in buying decisions, however, I presume our company has been happy with it since they have renewed their subscription. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** I don't dislike anything, but I have some suggestions on improving some UX/UI, especially in the Performance/Goals section. Goals are viewed as icons rather than a list and every time I open/expand a goal to see its details (rather than just the name), the other goals aren't properly visible anymore. I think a list would be much better, because even when I expand, I would have better visibility/trackability of what other goals are. The mobile app is handy for quick approvals on the go, and the employee directory/org chart makes it easy to see who's who as the company grows. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** Nothing major, but a few small points. The reporting/analytics module feels a bit basic if you want to slice data in more custom ways. I've had to export to Excel for deeper analysis. The impetus for getting BambooHR was payroll, and it has definitely done the job well. **What do you dislike about BambooHR?** access levels not intuitive. accrual start date not able to apply per PTO policy. no approval flow for employees making timesheet edits. no way to delegate approval while on vacation. can't configure the timesheet approval date/time to for example "first business day after the pay period at 3pm". No permission access level other than Full Admin can approve timesheets as proxy for managers - need payroll admins to be able to do this.
