  ### 3. Great Analysis with Salary.com

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel V. | Editorial Board - Managing Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Tool is very intuitive and their team is always there to help support you when you experience challenges. I was very impresssed by the product support team who worked with me to get the most value out of my purchase of Salary.com

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

It wasn't always easy to save information from previous working sessions. I also didn't know how to do mass comparisons, but this was something that I was shown how to resolve.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to do some compensation planning for a growing company in the Bay Area. The data to use in that comparison was excellent.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the five-star review, Daniel! We are happy that you are utilizing CompAnalyst to conduct compensation planning for your growing organization. Thank you for your comments about the Customer Success Team. We pride ourselves on the excellent service that we have as they are continually striving to make sure the support you receive is of the highest quality! ### 4. Great Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wendy C. | Corporate Recruiting Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The best thing about Salary.com is that it is super user-friendly. Finding what I was looking for was easy and quick, and the site provided a bunch of details. I frequently use the site for work purposes to house all our job descriptions. I utilized Salary.com's customer support once because I had difficulty getting my account initially set up, but they were quick to help and resolve the issue (I already had an account under a different email address). There are also a lot of features that I didn't know I knew and now can't live without personally and professionally.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Honestly, I don't find anything I do not like about Salary.com. This is probably the best site for a one-stop-shop.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com is solving our company's issue by housing all our job descriptions in one place. Currently, we upload job description to a shared drive but, that doesn't always happen. When it doesn't, then other people can't find what they are looking for. Also, this allows us to have less paperwork and emails by being able to create job descriptions within Salary.com, route them for approvals and have a trail of any changes.

**Official Response from Ashley Iannuzzi:**

> Wendy, thank you for the review! Glad to hear you find CompAnalyst to be the best solution for a one-stop-shop when it comes to your compensation needs. Many of our customers would agree that a major benefit to the tool is just how easy it is to use. I recommend taking a look at our Product Resource Center in the Community, which is home to how-to documents, videos, and other training materials! Please don't hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success Team with any questions you may have.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I've been using Salary.com to support compensation strategy, and it's been a solid resource. The market data is reliable and helps make sure we're staying competitive with pay across different roles and industries. The dashboards are clear and easy to use, which makes analyzing comp data less of a headache.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

One thing that could improve is how some of the tools connect with each other -there’s a bit of jumping between modules at times. But overall, it's been a helpful platform for managing pay structures and staying compliant with pay transparency requirements.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying competitive with compensation, ensuring internal equity, and navigating pay transparency laws. Before using it, we were piecing together data from multiple sources, which was time-consuming and not always reliable.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the review! We are glad that you’re leveraging CompAnalyst to stay competitive with compensation, ensure internal equity, and navigate pay transparency laws. Many of our customers would agree that a major benefit to the tool is just how easy it is to use! Please feel free to submit your feedback on product features and vote on other ideas in the Product Ideas tab in Community, which is accessible when you’re logged into the product.

  ### 7. Excellent website for research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The amount of data and filters available are incredible. Graphs, charts, you name it and this site probably has it. I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen this much information accessible for even remote and rural areas.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Sometimes the UI can be overwhelming or unhelpful. For example, I've been struggling to figure out how to edit an existing scope.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing me to know the pay averages and trends for areas that my company is trying to expand into.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the five-star review! We’re glad that you are leveraging the vast amount of information in CompAnalyst to know the pay averages and trends for areas that your company is trying to expand into. Regarding your comment on editing an existing scope, to edit an existing scope, click on the Market Data tab in the top navigation bar, and select ‘My Scopes.’ This area will show all of your existing scopes. Choose the scope that you would like to edit, select the ellipsis on the right side of the page for that row, and select the Edit option. I recommend checking out the Product Resource Center in the Community. There, you will find helpful training videos and how-to documents under “CompAnalyst Market Data” to assist in scoping!

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I really like that you can choose your region and you can save your job titles so next year you have to do way less digging!

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

There are a few jobs that we have that could not be found. We could use 2 different jobs and blend them.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in a small rural town with not a lot to compare to so it is nice that we can select our region to get comps rather than use the Twin Cities area for comps.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the review, Amy! We are happy that you’re leveraging CompAnalyst to select specific regions to compare compensation and conveniently save job titles. Creating a hybrid job by blending two or more jobs is a great idea if you’re having trouble matching to the most appropriate job! The basic tool is helpful, but you have to keep paying for more and more add-ons.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to provide our leaders real-time information to make decisions around if our pay is within market or if we need to adjust. Salary.com allows us to leverage data to support our decisions and make recommendations, and gives us a solid benchmark that we can discuss with our workforce.

  ### 24. Excellent compensation management tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janna D. | Director of Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The compensation management tools offered by Salary.com provide our company with excellent market data. This allows us to benchmark current employee salaries with industry data and research salaries for new positions. The database is easy to use and was easy to implement. Customer service is very good and the help we receive is customized to our specific tools. We use it every day and it makes our jobs so much easier.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Importing your own company data for benchmarking to market data is a bit cumbersome but worth all the additional effort.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get real time salary information that allows us to benchmark new and existing roles. We are able to plan our comp for year end increase and make sure that our pay is fair and equitable.

**Official Response from Ashley Iannuzzi:**

> Janna, thank you for the 5-star review! It is great to hear CompAnalyst Plus allows your organization to benchmark new and existing rolls as well as plan compensation for your year end increase to ensure your pay is fair and equitable. We can appreciate the implementation process was more involved than you anticipated but leveraging your employee and job data to create accurate pay programs should make it all worthwhile! Don’t hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success Team with any future question.

  ### 25. Easy to connect to HRIS system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jenn H. | People Operations Associate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The comp analyst feature is easy to connect to our HRIS system (UKG).

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

While easy to connect, the integration is limited in terms of which business processes port over. For us, this means that we have to create jobs in comp analyst in addition to in UKG in order for things to sync properly. The dual maintenance could be a lot of work with companies that are rapidly changing/creating many new roles. For companies where most jobs don't chance too much, this might not have a huge impact.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pay equity in a distributed market

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Jenn, thank you for your 5-star review. We are happy to hear that integrating your HRIS system with CompAnalyst has been a seamless process. This is our lightest weight integration solution (the others being scheduled flat files or fully custom API integrations). For the native integration we prioritized speed to integrate and a simple setup workflow over full configurability. This being said, we've been gathering feedback for enhancements to make. Please feel free to add your product ideas in the Product Ideas tab in Community to submit suggestions and vote as our product management team reviews all feedback!

  ### 26. Salary.com review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** T M. | CFO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like that we have access to a large database of quality salary information and that the data is not limited solely to customers on the platform. Salary.com does a good job trying to reflect the market at large.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

The reporting functionality could be better. We like to pull large company-wide datasets with multiple scopes, and the way in which you generate reports on the platform is not straightforward.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a fairly transparent process when it comes to compensation reviews, and we like to show our employees that we understand the market. This cannot be done without a quality, unbiased set of data where we can say "here is our source" as a solid starting point for our conversations. Without good data, we simply can't have good compensation conversations.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for your review. We are glad that you have enjoyed having access to CompAnalyst’s large database of high-quality salary information that reflects the market at large. Please feel free to submit your suggestions and vote on other ideas in the Product Ideas tab in Community, which is accessible when you’re logged into the product. We pride ourselves on providing quality, unbiased data that empowers companies to have transparent compensation conversations with their employees!

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

The ability to tailor our compensation search to very specific metrics. The portal allows several searching methods and the ability to create your own specs. Implementation and integration was extremely easy. Customer support has been very helpful when I needed a refresher.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

For the amount of searches I have performed, the cost is expensive. It would be nice to have a tiered pricing system based on the amount of searches done.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to search for comp within industries similar to ours, including employee size and location.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

  ### 32. Comprehensive salary data with lots of customization

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The amount of data available and ability to specify sets of criteria, like location, company size, revenues, etc.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Starting a search and then navigating back to your jobs is difficult. It's natural to want to use the back button. Instead, you have to find a small bit of text and remember to click on it every time. You also usually have to renavigate/enter specifications on multiple screens before getting to results rather than just having your current session inputs stick.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simply salary benchmarking on various job categories.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the review! We’re happy that you’re using CompAnalyst to conduct salary benchmarking on various job categories. We can appreciate your navigation comment. ### 33. Non-Profit Compensation Reviews

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonja P. | VP | Human Resources, Training, and Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The paid version provides access to comprehensive, up-to-date salary and compensation data across various industries. For a non-profit media station, this is important to remain competitive while maintaining fairness and equity in employee compensation, especially when attracting and retaining talent in the media industry. We have access to similar data points as used with a third-party vendor who did the same work.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

It took a little bit of time to get familiar with the number of ways that data could/should be parsed out. For example, by geographic location and by region, and then by industry. Uploading the job descriptions was a little tedious, too.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Non-profits often have unique organizational structures and roles. The paid version allows the station to benchmark salaries specific to its sector and regional markets, ensuring pay is aligned with industry standards for similar organizations. Because public media stations must be transparent, Salary.com helps ensure the station complies with federal, state, and local regulations regarding pay equity and fair labor practices, reducing the risk of legal challenges.

**Official Response from Ashley Iannuzzi:**

> Thank you for the 5-star review, Sonja. I’m glad to hear you enjoy the comprehensive, up-to-date compensation data for your specific industry in non-profit with the help of CompAnalyst. We can appreciate that the implementation was more involved than you anticipated, but leveraging your employee and job data to create accurate pay programs should make it all worthwhile!

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

There are many tools with the ability to edit and customize to meet my needs.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Quality of data may be questionable at times, as they are relying on voluntary submissions.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To quickly get an update on the market for all our positions, without individual benchmarking.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the review! It’s great to hear you’re enjoying the ability to customize the data to your needs in CompAnalyst. You can be rest assured of the validity of the data because it comes from commercially available reliable survey vendors in the marketplace. **What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's providing us a good source of compensation data for our positions.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for the review! We’re glad that you are using CompAnalyst to help price your company jobs. ### 43. Easy to use and efficient system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Wide data base of positions, variations of titles, and easy to make modifications to roles to make them more applicable to our exact roles. We use the software at a very level so cannot speak for some of the more indepth features.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

It would be great if there was a feature to split roles to a percentage and then customize salary data based on the percentage of time spent in that x or performing y function. The downloadable/printable forms are long and it would be nice if they were just a one-pager with only the data you need or you could select which industries to include/etc. it often takes an interpretation from HR when discussing salary data with a hiring manager.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

providing market data to team when making offers. Also creating wage bands for internal equity.

**Official Response from Ashley Iannuzzi:**

> Thank you for your review. Glad to hear you are leveraging CompAnalyst for making informed offers and creating wage bands for internal equity at your organization. While the compensation analyst tool is easy to navigate, I don't utilize the tool for much more than that. For the roles provided, our company has many that don't exist in the compensation tool because we are in such a niche industry.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary benchmarking is the primary use for this tool.

**Official Response from Alexander Bishop:**

> Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear that you’re using CompAnalyst as your primary salary benchmarking tool. Many of our customers agree that a major benefit to the tool is just how simple it is to use! If you are having difficulty finding the right role, I recommend exploring our job description management tool. Try searching under alternative job titles to provide more flexibility for similar positions. You can also create a hybrid job to match your company’s job responsibilities. Be sure to visit the Product Resource Center in the Community, where you’ll find helpful how-to documents, videos, and other training materials about hybrid roles. You can also reach out to your Customer Success Manager for help walking you through this!
