I like that the schedule is easy to produce and reproduce. The app is user friendly for staff to input their availability. The computer version is easy to use for supervisors and managers. I use Makeshift daily. **What do you dislike about MakeShift?** I'd like the computer to have a way to set recurring availability for staff. When a shift is declined- having the ability to change the messaging to staff to explain the way we allocate shifts. Added feature-could have the ability to see staff scheduled for the day at the top of the screen or filter on the staff scheduled for the day to ease the reading of the schedule. We have a lot of staff and sometimes a lot of scrolling is required to see who is in on a particular day. **What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a lot of employees and scheduling through Makeshift makes it easy to publish available shifts. Workforce Management input of the shifts makes is very quick to do the payroll. ### 5. The drag and drop feature and templates feature makes the ease of schedules easy to manage. The Available shift feature provides an easy way to fill shifts. Timeclock mode for clocking in and out makes clocking in and out quick and easy for staff. Download of the schedule and printing. Ease of Implementation was step by step for our administration, managers and staff. Customer support has been reliable. Integration went well. **What do you dislike about MakeShift?** We have had problems with staff not being able to request time off after the schedule is posted. We have been told this will not be a problem in the future. Not being able to see the calculations of time off and time worked calculated together on the schedules and timesheets makes it hard for administration and management to figure out if staff are being paid correctly for their time. Not seeing annual accruals of vacation, sick, etc. makes it difficult for management to keep track of time for staff. Not being able to see approved time offs after they have been approved unless you scan the calendars is not beneficial. Staff are not able to approve their time cards until after the pay period is completely over and many of our staff do not work on Mondays to approve and we must complete payroll in order to pay staff. Not being able to use the available shifts and the override feature for request offs when already scheduled at the same time is not ideal. **What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?** The available shifts allowing us to send to all employees will be ideal. The ability to override published shifts for requests off would be ideal but we were told these two can not work together if we have one we can not have the other. ### 6. I think the search feature is really helpful when you have long lists of employees on the schedule on different units - it makes looking at staffing much quicker when you arent able to get to the desktop site. **What do you dislike about MakeShift?** I think it could be improved somewhat by being able to sort through the open shifts and shift requests a little easier. **What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?** It makes my job a lot easier when I schedule in makeshift and can track my team's scheduled hours and see how it fits into the bigger staffing picture. ### 10. It's great how easily you can dubplicate recurring availability without having to fill it in multiple times. The home page is well organised and provides great central access to all things you need to do on makeshift. **What do you dislike about MakeShift?** The widget for IOS is no longer available. It used to be and now since the IOS system updated you can no longer have a widget. It would be great if this could be fixed and can be user friendly both for the widget page and central homepages on IOS. **What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?** Keeping my shifts visible all in one place. MakeShift can accomodate booking shifts across our 5 locations, across multiple roles and different levels of certifications. It has saved us hours of work when processing payroll and when creating and publishing schedules. **What do you dislike about MakeShift?** I would very much like to see a communication app integrated into MakeShift to allow for company wide posts, as well as department and individual chats to take place. We have to use a seperate app at the moment and it is cumbersome. **What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?** I would like to see them solve the communication issue mentioned previously. time and attendance is huge for us, with so many staff we needed to have greater control over recorded hours. ### 27. You can assign multiple administators or Department leads. One person can be assigneed to multiple departments and they all show when looking at a calendar. Another positive are the templtes, makes assigning hours real easy. Seasonal employees can mark thier availability and the managers to when they can work. The app updates realtime and does not have a lag when shifts are assigned. **What do you dislike about MakeShift?** Honestly nothing isn't to like. It does everything we could want and more. **What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?** ENsuring employees know thier shifts, in a timely manner. But overall I am not a fan and I believe it would be more useful for a restaurant or store. **What do you dislike about MakeShift?** - I personally find it challenging to use Makeshift as it adds an additional item for us to remember and essentially duplicates the information from our Excel spreadsheet. - I believe that Makeshift is not user-friendly and it becomes cumbersome to update it every time there is a change in the schedule or when someone calls off. - The requirement to "add/delete" an employee from my schedule, especially if they are from another office, is something that I am not fond of. - While Makeshift works well for general employees, it becomes more complex with Mohs. - The option to pick up or drop a shift is not applicable to our company as it is more suited for a restaurant or retail setting. - Considering that many of the features in Makeshift are not utilized, it does not seem cost-effective for our company. - Employees do not have access to Makeshift, which adds to the inefficiency. - I am not in favor of all the admins being displayed on the schedule. **What problems is MakeShift solving and how is that benefiting you?** It does not problem solve anything, it actually makes scheduling employees harder.
