"A Reliable POS with Great Tools for Growth"
What do you like best about SpotOn?

SpotOn provides me with a comprehensive platform that combines POS, reporting, and customer engagement tools all in one place. I find the system easy to use, and it offers customization options that fit my business needs. The reporting features are especially useful, allowing me to monitor sales and inventory in real time. I’ve also found their customer support team to be responsive and helpful, both during the initial setup and whenever I’ve needed troubleshooting assistance. What do you dislike about SpotOn?

The pricing structure becomes confusing when you start adding extra features, and the overall cost can increase rapidly. The system sometimes experiences glitches and relies significantly on a stable internet connection, which can be problematic during periods of downtime. "Great Timekeeping, But Integration and Compatibility Need Improvement"
What do you like best about SpotOn?

the timekeeping element with Teamwork is the biggest advantage to other systems. the interface and access are ok- but not as good as other POS Systems Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SpotOn?

It's lack of integration. Opentable is a major one, but there are other systems that people have developed to make operators lives better. It's a young industry to have specialized reporting programs and it's lack of direct integration with delivery apps put it at a disadvantage. Spoton doesn't carry enough market share or exposure to eliminate them so we are left purchasing and piecing it together vs. other POS Systems that play well with so many other programs and platforms. "Intuitive Backend, But Handheld Devices Need Improvement"
What do you like best about SpotOn?

Back end is intuitive. Non handheld devices have been easy to use and very few issues. The 6 is because of the handhelds. They are not dependable.

What do you dislike about SpotOn?

Handhelds are awful. The switch to RPOS was challenging as it happened during our busy season and it seemed like a forced change. Calling for low level tech support should not take 3 minutes before you get to speak to a human. We don’t have 3 minutes when a device is down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless POS System with Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about SpotOn?

I find SpotOn as a Point of Sale (POS) system phenomenally wonderful for my business transactions at Slappy's, Slawdog, and Sandwich. I love the platform's ease of use, highlighting how easy it is to read, understand, and train other staff members. The straightforward interface is user-friendly and facilitates training new employees, which means we spend less time in training mode and more on actual sales activities. SpotOn’s integrations, especially the seamless connection with DoorDash, are easy to use and make managing different menu ideas, price adjustments, and menu descriptions a breeze. I appreciate the ease with which these integrations enable us to streamline operations effortlessly. Moreover, SpotOn has delightful back-of-house features and makes the process fun and exciting to learn and use, minimizing the strain operations can have on the business. I am particularly impressed by the outstanding customer service I received from Justin Kitschka, making the learning and training process extremely smooth. SpotOn also provides useful tools for integration with QuickBooks, making payroll, end-of-year taxes, and other financial tasks manageable with their wonderful plugins. Additionally, when I compared SpotOn with another product, Clover, I found SpotOn to be significantly better because it can streamline our transaction processes, offering us a more professional feel. Furthermore, the initial setup was very easy, supported by excellent customer service and helpful resources like webinars and YouTube training videos. These features supported a smooth transition to SpotOn, allowing quick resolution to any questions we had, often via telephone, Internet, or in-person assistance from a SpotOn representative. Lastly, my positive experience is underscored by my interest in becoming a SpotOn salesperson, showing my eagerness to help others experience the advantages and freedom of SpotOn. What do you dislike about SpotOn?

I do think that there are a few fees that could be maybe absorbed into the price of other things. We do pay the monthly fee on top of the daily fee. We also have a SpotOn capital loan, so we pay the interest there. And then we also have a maintenance fee. So there's quite a bit of fees when almost 80% of our sales are electronic card payments. Maybe if SpotOn were to offer a discount for card-only businesses as an incentive, that might be something as we move toward a cashless society. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Trainers Were Very Effective"
What do you like best about SpotOn?

The part that i dislike the most about SpotOn and its not the fault of the product or the system. Because of my vision it is difficult to read the hand held device at times. That is on me though. "SpotOn + Lucky = Outstanding Support!"
What do you like best about SpotOn?

What I like best about SpotOn is how easy and seamless everything is to use. From the moment we started at The Nile Bar & Restaurant, the implementation was smooth, and Lucky made sure our entire team understood the system. He even came out in person to train our staff and then held a separate training session for our managers, which helped us get comfortable using all the features right away.

The platform itself is user-friendly and integrates well with our daily operations. We use it every single day for everything from processing payments to tracking sales and managing reports. The number of features it offers has made running the bar much more efficient without being complicated to manage.

Most importantly, the customer support has been outstanding. Any time we’ve had a question or needed guidance, Lucky and the SpotOn team have been quick, responsive, and patient — something that’s rare to find. What do you dislike about SpotOn?

There really isn’t much to dislike about SpotOn, especially with the support we’ve received from Lucky. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that there are a few features I wish they would add to make the system even better.

That said, it’s clear that SpotOn is constantly evolving and growing, and we’ve already seen them make updates that improve the overall experience. What do you like best about SpotOn?

I like that it’s pretty user friendly. The way it’s set up was done well by the spot on team, and menu items and functions are fairly easy to find. I also think it crashes less than others as I haven’t experienced it go down and even though I also like toast, I think toast loses its connection a lot which is not convenient during service. What do you dislike about SpotOn?

My only real complaint about the system is the payment, I dislike that it’s 2 steps but otherwise it’s quick and simple to learn.

Sometimes the cash drawer won’t open even if I hit no sale. I’m not sure if this is on purpose but it’s also inconvenient as we don’t keep a key in the drawer at my bar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth experience once set up."
What do you like best about SpotOn?

We moved to Spoton to shorten our tech stack and it has done just that. Everything runs smooth and is tied well together between our website and online ordering, the value is there. We are saving $700 a month alone by switching and moving multiple tech stacks into one spot, pun intended.

What do you dislike about SpotOn?

As a Pizzeria it was a bit cumbersome to get set up, but our rep, menu consultant, and tech support were all very patient and got us to where we needed to be ultimately. Then again most POS are hard for pizzerias unless it was specifically built for one, but we have been giving feedback for other owners going forward to help out.
