**What do you like best about Paycor?**

There is flexibility in creating reports, which was helpful when looking for historical data. 

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

Customer service was a concern. There wasn't a dedicated person or team, so when we had questions or issues, we would call, be on hold sometimes for over an hour, and the person wouldn't know the history because there were no notes left by the previous agent. It was frustrating to retell the issue over and over. Sometimes, after a long hold, the call would disconnect. Most importantly, the agents did not know how to resolve our concerns. Training was definitely an issue, in my opinion.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As the HR Director, my administrator access wasn't what it should be. We did a chat with a agent and it was resolved that day.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

I find Paycor to be a great resource for payroll and recruiting. I love using Paycor Recruit because it allows us to run background checks for future employees and helps weed out those who are not a good fit for our company. The ability to reduce turnover rates and keep track of everything for employees and HR is really helpful. I love the Knowledge Center, and overall, my experience with Paycor and its resources has been great. The initial setup was very easy and understandable. Paycor has broadened our scope of capabilities beyond just payroll with ADP, allowing us to use it for recruiting too. Simply put, Paycor is GREAT, and I have nothing but great things to say about it.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

I love the Knowledge Center however some more interactive activities and modules could be useful for trial and errors before actually completing tasks on our own.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycor reduces turnover rates, helps track everything for employees and HR, runs background checks, and enhances recruiting. Switching from ADP broadened our capabilities beyond payroll.

Paycor performance is ok, but needs work.  The integrations are ok with Indeed but needs more work, onboarding is good support.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

I dont like the customer support, the support team is horrible, there is zer support for pretty much everything.  They have an integration with Indeed, which is poor at the best.  This needs to be better and allow for better candidates or the back end indeed option to help drive more candidates to the sites.  Further, the ROI is lacking to what a company pays.  

There is no AI component.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

I like that I know the Paycor software well. It specifically meets our company's needs, and while it has taken several years to feel confident and comfortable with it because it's such a huge monster to learn, that familiarity is valuable. We genuinely like the core product.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

Customer service is definitely an issue—it's a struggle to get a direct phone number to reach a Paycor employee, even when I'm working directly with someone assigned to me. The sales representative changes so often that there's no opportunity to build an ongoing relationship, meaning I have to start over with a new rep multiple times a year. The EDI feeds are another headache. They're quite messy and take forever to resolve, so much so that it makes us wary of switching insurance carriers, knowing it'll be months before everything's sorted out. Also, the initial setup wasn't easy. It was really complex and lengthy, and though there was training, the trainers used technical terms without adjusting their language to fit the audience. They're so used to using their own terminology that it's often a struggle to understand their points.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many of our "cases" or issues with Paycor center around EDI feeds. Also the third-party vendors who deal with Paycor on our behalf are incredibly frustrated with Paycor's poor customer service and lack of communication.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

It’s simple to request time off, pull pay stubs and tax details, and complete 1:1 and performance management reviews.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

My biggest frustration is that, even though PayCor integrates with Google Calendar to send 1:1 calendar invites, those invites can’t include direct links to Teams/Meet/Zoom, etc. On top of that, you also can’t move the meeting times in Google Calendar; instead, you have to manually log in to PayCor and adjust the meeting times there.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One stop shop for requesting time off, monitoring time off, checking time off requests from your reports, pulling pay stubs and tax reports, and providing performance reports.

It was easy to use and simple to navigate. All of our payment information is easy to access, and it’s clear which days off have been taken, which have been requested, and which are still available. Overall, it’s a good tool for all employees, and it’s convenient to have payroll information all in one app with an easy-to-use layout.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

I honestly didn’t see any downside; it was good to use overall. The only thing I’d suggest is having customer service that’s a bit more accessible, just in case it’s ever needed.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s been good to manage and use. It’s easy to request days off in advance, and I can track our paychecks as well as the time off I have available for future use. Overall, it’s very user-friendly.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

I like Paycor's career pathing/succession planning and talent management program. It provides managers with easy ways to manage employee performance and performance indicators. I appreciate how it allows for real-time feedback and documentation of data.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

Transparently, the customer service has been lacking for the last two years, but specifically the last twelve months. The initial setup was not difficult, but the acquisition practices that we integrated into the system thereafter was a struggle.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Paycor for employee record retention, time management, talent management, and performance, as well as compensation and wages. It provides managers with easy ways to manage performance indicators and offer real-time feedback, documenting data efficiently.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

I like that Paycor is an all-in-one HRIS system. We use a lot of the functionality (expense management, timecards, payroll, etc.) and get it at a better price than other competitors (specifically, we looked at Bamboo). Additionally, with the charging tiers, we did not have a limit on the number of contractors that we could have in the system. It was pretty easy to implement with our team, and there are integrations with other platforms we use, like Accrue (formerly Guideline) and also BRSI.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

Customer support. I definitely feel that Paycor has gone down in the quality of Customer Support. I've submitted many cases before, and it feels like it is hard to get a clear answer sometimes. The way they respond via email tickets is a little clunky since it is not dynamic. Additionally, the platform itself can feel a little clunky as it does not have the best UI in my opinion. I do think they have been improving the platform in some smaller ways; however, sometimes they take away features that people want/need, and/or make changes to perfectly good areas of the platform that aren't needed, and some of those changes actually made those areas more inaccessible/harder to use.

We needed an all-in-one platform that could hold all of our employees & contractors. We also needed a platform for HR functions like onboarding, tax management, payroll, documents and resources, time and attendance, and expense management.

I find Paycor's scheduling to be very touchy and hard to use. We've had to rework our preferences to fit the functionality, but some things we want it to do would simplify the process. Also, the initial setup of Paycor wasn't easy.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

I love that I can access all of these features in one place with Paycor. It's fantastic for centralizing functions like requesting time off, viewing or changing direct deposits, and reviewing tax forms. The features are very easy to use, and being able to quickly check my PTO balance, see or review any open tasks, and pull up any recent paystubs is really helpful for me. Plus, the initial setup of Paycor was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

One challenge that I have with Paycor is that it can be pretty laggy at times or not load right away. This slows things down, especially if I am just trying to check something quickly. The biggest improvement I'd love to see is speed and reliability. Faster performance would make it even better!

Paycor centralizes features like time off, direct deposits, and tax info in one place, making it easy to access. I can quickly check my PTO balance, open tasks, and recent paystubs, which is really helpful.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

The only thing I really like about Paycor is that it feels like a more robust solution than the HOME BASE software I used previously. HOME BASE is better suited for super small companies.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

From the start of our relationship, we experienced a high volume of issues, many of which were basic and easily avoidable. While some individual items have since been addressed, the sheer number and frequency of problems created ongoing operational strain and ultimately led to significant frustration.

Payroll & Employee Data Errors
During the initial transition from our prior payroll system, employee information was transferred incorrectly. In some cases, employees received pay changes that were not authorized by the company. These errors required internal corrections and should not occur in a payroll platform.

Banking & 401(k) Handling Issues
Paycor’s parent company, Paychex, manages our 401(k). Our account includes three separate EINs, each with its own group ID and bank account. Despite this structure, contributions were pulled from the wrong bank accounts, mixing funds between entities. This is a fundamental control issue and required repeated follow-up to resolve.

Support Experience
Customer support has been inconsistent and often ineffective. Problems frequently required multiple contacts, re-explanations, and escalation to achieve resolution. The burden of troubleshooting often fell back on our internal team.

Software & Onboarding Limitations
Employee self-setup regularly failed, particularly on mobile devices. In many cases, employees were unable to complete onboarding without forwarding setup links to office staff for manual completion. This defeats the purpose of a self-service payroll platform.

Payroll Delivery & Communication Issues
Physical paychecks were mailed via ground shipping, resulting in employees being paid nearly a week late. While additional fees for mailing checks were disclosed, it was not clearly communicated that delivery would take 5–7 days after payroll processing, which is an unreasonable delay for payroll services.

Some features don't allow for adjusting to fit how I need to use it, for example, the new performance reviews, the status list is great, but no dates are shown unless you dig into each individual review.  Or for accruals, the system allows for people to go into a negative balance, which is a constant reminder to employees to pay attention and then go back in and rebalance.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating performance review submissions really nice.  Looking into how SixFifty might be a nice automation tool as well.

There tends to be some "wonkiness" at times. We've encountered employee records getting changed due to configuration settings that didn't get changed on the Admin side and random system slowness.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

I like the ability to get to most information very quickly with Paycor. As an HR director, I run a lot of reports to look at data, and I probably use it mostly for that along with looking up information and some medical leave tracking. The transition to Paycor was real smooth, and they were able to export most of the data we had, which made the setup easy.

With Paycor, I can view every aspect of what my paycheck goes to with summaries over a period of time.  I can change my direct deposit myself - no form to sign and send to HR - at any time including directing different amounts to different accounts.  Its simple enough, I could realistically make changes as frequently as every pay period if I needed to.  Paycor is even integrated into other products that will walk me through adding a portion of direct deposit in order to pay them automatically and so easy that I never have to worry about those payments being on time.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

I have not yet found anything that Paycor is not flexible enough to handle.  Should I find something, I'll update my review.

I can see exactly what is being deducted per pay period and over time.  I have full and easy control over my direct deposit including sending portions to multiple accounts

It is very simplistic and an application that can be used by any age group. This aspects allows a broader range of users accessibility to systems that may have previously been outdated or even too modern. It allows a middle ground to which all users can be guaranteed. PayCor encourages production due to its easy-to-use interface and software.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

My biggest dislikes would just be the lack of customization. Being able to curate your dashboard would definitely encourage individualism and even a more pleasing display which could potentially bump up usage. If the goal is uniformity, it accomplishes that well. This is simply a future suggestion.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stepping away from paper payroll and to electronic software can tend to be a headache. With Paycor, I am able to swiftly and smoothly transition to a new interface without the unnecessary of inputting and re-inputting information. It also allows employees the freedom to keep themselves on track without unnecessary oversight.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

Overall, my favorite thing about Paycor is the simplicity of having all of my payroll/timecard information easily assessable in one convenient location. This helps me main a clear insight into my finances with its useful ability to easily integrate with other tools. Using paycor frequenetly I can confirm it is also every easy ti implemented within any organization or tools for futuring finance planning.

I'm fairly hardpressed for dislikes as most functions were as expected. I do have the complaint that I can not update some things within my profile for my company because I do have have to same level of clearance as my HR support team.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A common, re-occurring problem I have with payroll platforms is that they do no make it easy to quickly access you're entire history of paystubs. I have run into problems with previous employer's miscalculating my compensation pay to the where I always like to review all of my stubs. Paycor has been fantastic about giving clear, quick and easy access to this information. This directly benefits me as I can more accurately track my financial income allowing me to better plan for my future!

I'm not sure how long it usually takes for management or whoever is responsible to review PTO requests, but I've been waiting for about a month since I submitted my request for paid time off during my birthday week. I still haven't received any response. I'm also unsure whether this delay is an issue with Paycor or if it's something on my company's end, since I don't really know how the process works.

I use this app to ensure that I am properly compensated for the hours I work at my company. If I notice any discrepancies, I can turn to this app to help me identify where the issue lies.

What I like best about Paycor is how the platform brings everything together. It's a huge time-saver to have all of our HR and payroll functions in one place. Processing payroll is pretty straightforward and reliable, and I can easily pull reports, which is a big help. The dashboard is clean and easy to navigate, so getting started with it was a breeze for our team.

I've run into some persistent issues with the time-tracking. It's frustrating when the time clock is slow to load or freezes, and I've had to make a lot of manual corrections for my team because of it.

It is relatively easy to use and everything is pretty simple. I like how there are updates as well but I do wish that we were notified more often. I do like how we get more features though compared to our previous software.

Customer service is not great and it seems like we are figuring out the system at the same time. Additionally, implementation was pretty disastrous with dropped customer service reps and implementation coordinators.

Just the overall features is nice. We didn't use to have all the features or modules turned on on ADP so this is helping a lot with the different EDI feeds a centralized place where HR can find everything.

Paycor has added celebrations. Not only will the software remind you of employee work anniversaries, it will remind you of birthdays, too. There is a "celebrations" social media-style section where you can invite others to celebrate these moments with your team members. Especially in a remote/hybrid environment, these features help to unite an otherwise segregated workforce.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

I wish you could set up an "auto-lunch" function for hourly employees. There is no way to have hourly employees automatically clock out for lunch or breaks. 

**Recommendations to others considering Paycor:**

Think about all of the time you are spending manually managing HR needs in spreadsheets, calendars, etc. Paycor can save you an immense amount of time automating the "transactional" pieces of HR management.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The company is tracking paid breaks, unpaid lunches, PTO, salaries, etc. We are able to link Paycor with both our current ERP system (Infor XA) and our new one (Sage X3). Because of its automated features, we can focus on keeping up-to-date on the newest laws, benefits, etc. Paycor takes care of the routine.

I love the easy-to-use user interface of Paycor, which is great and intuitive across all modules. I find it especially valuable as it allows me to easily track the movement of candidates across different recruitment stages. If any candidate remains in a pipeline for too long, it becomes quickly visible, prompting timely contact to address any issues.

I find the backend implementation to be extremely complex, requiring a lot of trial and error. The implementation team appears to be stretched too thin, and the support team is inadequately trained, often providing inaccurate or outdated information. Additionally, despite two years of using the software, we are still in the process of implementing it, which speaks to the difficult setup process.

Current limitations regarding reporting and time zone restrictions for representatives assigned to our premium account we're PST and our reps assigned reps are only available until 2p PST which is a challenge but the after-hours reps are nice too.

Probably the pricing. We have to pay more for access to use it so all HR isn't able to use it for our day to day tasks. We have to reach out to someone else. Additionally, I don't feel its user friendly compared to UKG.

Paycor makes it convenient to access W-2 forms, employment details, and payment information. I find it easy to navigate, and I appreciate that the homepage interface can be customized to suit my preferences. I think it's cute and helps build a little bit of community when I login and see someone's birthday being celebrated or their anniversary with the company being announced with the ability to react and comment to that.

If I want to log in to my computer to clock in for my shift it looks like I have to reach out to our IT department to have it set up instead of it being an automatic setting I can use.

I found the initial setup of Paycor to be very easy, which was the only positive aspect amidst my overall experience.

I have significant issues with Paycor. Their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced, making it challenging to resolve issues. They have a problem with overcharging, as the quotes they provided when I switched to their service were not even close to accurate. Even worse, after canceling the service, they continue to charge me for months, and it's impossible to reach anyone for a refund. Overall, every aspect of the service feels inadequate and problematic for my needs. Worst company I've ever dealt with.

They were supposed to be a great payroll and HR service. They cost me more time and headache than anything. They lie to you about fees and their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced.

Currently, we only post to Indeed, so this expansion will greatly enhance our visibility.

3.	Enhanced Communication Tools
One standout feature is the ability to communicate with applicants via email and text directly within the platform.

4.	Seamless HR Integration
Integration with Paycor’s HR system allows applicant data and resumes to transfer automatically, streamlining the onboarding process.

The customer support and service leave much to be desired. I haven't had much luck with the chat feature or when calling the support line. The representatives are difficult to understand, and I often get transferred repeatedly between different departments. Instead of providing direct assistance, they usually just send a link to an article about fixing the issue. Getting an answer to a question can sometimes take days or even weeks.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

Paycor is a great system overall — very organized, modern, and efficient once you get the hang of it. It helps streamline payroll, reporting, and communication across departments, and its tools for performance and talent development are a real plus. However, it’s important to remember that employees — not just administrators — need time to learn and adjust to the system. With the right training and support, Paycor can be a real game-changer for any organization.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

I’ve submitted feedback directly to Paycor for a few improvements, and while their team is responsive, I’m disappointed that the custom fields under People Settings are still not working properly. It’s a key feature that would make tracking and reporting much easier. They did confirm that they’re working on it, so I’m hopeful it will be resolved soon.

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Everything is streamlined, but hiccups do occur from time to time. I usually try to figure things out on my own, and if I can’t, I reach out to Paycor for guidance. They’re generally helpful and responsive. Overall, Paycor is an excellent system, but employees and managers need time to learn and adapt — not just administrators. With continued improvements and training support, it has great potential to meet an organization’s long-term HR and performance goals.

**What do you like best about Paycor?**

I like how Paycor easily calculates my work hours, especially when sometimes I calculate them wrong and don't keep track of it. It helps me keep track of my work hours, how much I am paid, and retrieving my check stubs. I value putting in my PTO hours the most. It's very easy and simple to use, and finding out information is easy as well with their help center.

**What do you dislike about Paycor?**

I have no dislikes about Paycor whatsoever

**What problems is Paycor solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paycor helps me keep track of my work hours, payments, and retrieving check stubs. It calculates my hours accurately, especially when I work overtime, ensuring I know what my paycheck will be.
