I use Apollo.io daily for prospecting, especially for writing up sequences, sending out emails, and making calls. The new feature with the AI assistant definitely helps because I can give a proper command to build a sequence and do what's best for my day-to-day activity. It helps me automate tasks, allowing me to focus more on finding quality leads and starting the outreach. The initial setup was pretty easy and straightforward, and I've seen the evolution of the solution over time.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

I would say sometimes the information, the numbers, and the email addresses are not particularly right, so that could definitely be improved.

I like that Apollo.io is user-friendly and it has almost all the companies I am searching for. It's great that I can make lists easily. The setup was quite easy, and I appreciate the wider range of contacts it provides.

Some decision maker contacts are not available, and sometimes when you filter, the filter remains after you finish and doesn’t show the search results correctly.

I use Apollo.io to find contacts for marketing, accessing emails and phone numbers. It has most of the companies I was looking for. It's user-friendly, and I can make lists easily.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

I find Apollo.io to be incredibly useful for generating leads for business purposes. It helps me make lists for campaigns, schedule calls, and manage deals more efficiently than traditional methods. I am impressed with how well I can keep track of emails, including whether they've been opened or marked as spam. This tracking feature is very valuable to me and is something I really love about the service. The platform’s features such as targeting options by country and technology, as well as defining buyer personas, are necessary and valuable for me. I also like the feature related to calling functions, which adds to the platform’s robust capabilities. The initial setup was easy because Apollo.io is self-explanatory, and the demos with the team were very helpful, allowing us to become proficient within a week.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

I find it challenging that Apollo.io lacks an automated call recording feature. Sometimes, I have to manually start the recording, which should ideally be automated. The current setup does not always record the full conversation. This feature should be more streamlined and ensure that entire calls are consistently captured, with a straightforward option to stop the recording if needed.

Apollo is a good consolidation product merging engagement system, calling system, and prospecting database in one tool

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The integration with HubSpot and Chrome Extension broke late summer/fall of 2025 causing us to be unable to sync contacts to sequencing directly from HubSpot

The issue with Linkedin was also a red flag for us.

We also had issue of job changes triggering email updates on key billing contacts in our system when the integration was set to never change email. The job change updates were not always accurate either.

It was solving needing a single tool for prospecting.

I use Apollo.io for prospecting and outreach, and it makes sequencing and managing the whole process really easy in one platform. I like that it's fully integrated, so I don't need any other tools. Staying in one place helps me stay focused as a salesperson. I can find data, create a call list quickly, and execute it in just minutes. The built-in power dialer is completely invaluable.

It's expensive, and the credit system is quite hard to keep a track of.

I do like having a database of potential client names and emails.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

They made a ton of changes to their pricing packages, which have made it less of a value.  For example, in their email automation, you could connect five different email accounts to send emails from.  Now it's only one at the same price level.  Other features have been cut from one price level and moved to the more expensive one.  They are pushing AI, but the AI writes horribly and requires a ton of work just to get an email good enough to send.  They have added a ton of bells and whistles, but none of them are really that useful.  The phone numbers are usually wrong. It seems geared toward tech sales.

the Linkedin profiles button sometimes does alerts on Linkedin that is used a lead gen software, not sure it accepts something outside LI navigator

I find Apollo.io easy to use, especially for the daily tasks that I do. The LinkedIn extension works pretty well, which makes it valuable to me. I also appreciate the tool that allows us to see who and how many times someone opens emails.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

Sometimes they have the wrong data, and even if we try to add the right one, they do not let us. Also, sometimes it's kinda harsh to use - you definitely need a trainer. It's easy if you are just using the daily things, but to implement AI, for example, you need a trainer.

Apollo.io helps me by saving time looking for the right contacts with the LinkedIn extension and tracking email opens for follow-ups.

I use Apollo.io for data research, email sequences, and prospect calls. It provides databases relevant to my GTM strategies and helps automate the email outreach process through sequences. The AI inputs assist in drafting smarter emails. I like that the email deliverability ratio is good compared to other tools I’ve used. The seamless integration with our CRM makes database building easier. More emails get delivered, increasing the chance of a higher response rate from prospects. The integration feature is also helpful as it logs contacts, emails, and phone calls directly into the CRM, saving time.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The overall user experience is a bit complex. At times, it gets difficult to navigate between features as it is too comprehensive. Also, the customer support could have been better. The navigation workflows are not that easy to use. At times, the page loads slowly, the information needed is not easily accessible and while reaching out to customer support, we faced delays in getting a call scheduled.

I like Apollo.io for automating emails and its enrichment of contact details across a large database. Another helpful feature is that when emails bounce, Apollo.io looks for another contact in their database, which is quite handy.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The UI is very messy. Email prioritization needs help. Scheduling can be more granular. Integration with CRM has no analytics, making it difficult to track and sync progress between contacts in CRM and Apollo.io. The initial setup is not super intuitive, probably because they have a whole load of features I don't yet know how to use.

Apollo.io automates emails and enriches contact details, helping me manage cadences efficiently and find alternative contacts when emails bounce.

If you're part of a company, it's normally already set up, so you just need to place your name and start working on it.

Well, the only thing that it didn't work as well is that I think that the post service or post sale services with customer success or support takes a little bit to engage with you, or they take a little bit to engage with you. So that's the only thing.

It's pretty easy to set up or connect things, and I haven't had any real issues with it.

Yeah. I think for Apollo, the things that don't work well are it gets really slow and buggy, especially when you're dealing with thousands of leads. What I value most about Apollo is its extensive selection of filters. These filters make the platform much more user-friendly for me, allowing me to refine my macro-level research down to a more targeted micro focus. This helps me discover more relevant data and pinpoint the right contacts for prospecting. Working in business development, I rely on Apollo every day. Another benefit is its simple integration process; in my experience, it connects smoothly with both Salesforce and LinkedIn. Whenever I visit a company website, Apollo syncs automatically without any problems. I have contacted Apollo's customer support two or three times, and each time my questions have been answered within an hour. This level of efficiency has made it much easier to incorporate Apollo into my daily workflow.

I don't feel their are any such things that aren't helpful, but there is one issue I've noticed. Often, when I use the power dialer in Apollo, the UI tends to freeze. When this happens and a call connects, the dialer displays a blank name, so I can't tell who I'm speaking with. Additionally, I have a suggestion: sometimes, when I connect with people, they tell me it's the wrong number. I think Apollo should add a feature that allows users to tag a number as 'wrong number' right next to the person's contact. This way, when Apollo reviews the data, they can remove incorrect numbers, making Apollo's data more accurate and reliable.

The first major benefit Apollo provides for me is access to a vast amount of data, which makes it much easier to reach out to people. Another important advantage is its sequences feature, which allows me to set up a series of actions—such as moving from LinkedIn messages to personal emails and connection requests. These actions are sent automatically, freeing me up to focus on my main tasks and work with more refined data. Additionally, Apollo includes a built-in dialer, which saves me money since I don’t need to purchase a separate app just for making calls. Having Apollo’s dialer gives me a real advantage by eliminating the need for an extra subscription. It also provides emails and phone numbers that are already marked as verified, making it much easier for me to identify the contacts I want to pursue and write to.

I'm finding that the information I receive is hit or miss, sometimes it is highly accurate and other times it is not. When I flag a number because it is disconnected or belongs to someone else, sometimes it gets updated and sometimes it does not.

The information I've been getting recently has not been valid.

I needed a good source for updating phone numbers and email addresses for my target accounts. Apollo has been very helpful by providing this information, increasing my contact rate.
