**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

I'm finding that the information I receive is hit or miss, sometimes it is highly accurate and other times it is not. When I flag a number because it is disconnected or belongs to someone else, sometimes it gets updated and sometimes it does not. 

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The information I've been getting recently has not been valid. 

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a good source for updating phone numbers and email addresses for my target accounts. Apollo has been very helpful by providing this information, increasing my contact rate.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

Easy to use for the most part. Has a lot of features packed into 1 solution - removing the need for multiple tools.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

Constant changes can become annoying. Feels like there is a tweak to the UI every other weeks so once you get used to 1 way of doing things you have to learn another. On one hand it's good they are pushing updates, but some of them feel very unneeded. 

Also while it does have a lot of features it becomes a bit, jack of all trades - master of none situation.

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the issue of sourcing leads and being a being a solid sales engagement tool (calls & emails). We also use it as a bit of an ad-hoc CRM. Those capabilities leave a bit to be desired but overall solves the task at hand.

Apollo.io is an end-to-end AI-powered sales platform designed for B2B teams focused on prospecting, outreach, and pipeline management. The platform offers access to an extensive B2B database, over 210 million contacts and 35 million companies, making it a robust tool for lead generation and data enrichment.

The integrated workflow covers the entire outbound process: users can find contact information, build lists, sequence outreach via email and phone, and track engagement.

I find the platform’s depth and breadth introduce a significant learning curve, especially when setting up and customizing workflows for the first time. Navigating through the many features can be overwhelming, and it takes time to become fully proficient. I have also encountered instances where some contact data is inaccurate or outdated, which disrupts outreach efforts and requires manual verification. Advanced automation and higher export limits are locked behind paid plans, which restricts flexibility for smaller-scale projects or testing phases.

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While Apollo.io consolidates prospecting and outreach into a single platform, I have not seen a substantial improvement in lead conversion or deal progression. The time spent managing data quality issues and adapting to the platform’s complexity has offset some of the expected efficiency gains. Integration with existing workflows was not as seamless as anticipated, leading to duplicated efforts and occasional inconsistencies in CRM data. Overall, the platform’s potential is evident, but the practical impact on my sales process has been limited due to these operational challenges.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

How easy it is to create a list of new prospects to contact. It is very intuitive to get the data and build the right list. It can then easily send all the data back to Hubspot and have all my data in our CRM. Reminder every days to let you know what needs to happen allows you to stay on top of your tasks and calls.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

That there isn't enough statistics being giving about the different steps in the cadances. I would like a bit more info to improve how I plan my different cadences.

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us the biggest problem that Apollo is solving is finding the right data and allowing us to contact them easily through one platform. We work in one integrated platform and don't need to use export the data from platform one to platform two and then use the data.

I like how easy it is to find and add contacts into our CRM.

I find it frustrating that we can't edit sequence steps in advance. It would be more efficient if we could adjust the steps when initially adding a contact to a sequence, allowing us to do all the necessary research upfront. This way, we wouldn’t have to go back and gather information when it's time to send another generic email a week later.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

The platform is continuosly improving and is very functional for my sales team in regards to outbound call, email, etc. The data is pretty good, and is definitely better than our previous data prozider zoominfo was at the time we used them.  They provide a ton of features for a very competitive price.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The biggest feature missing is the ability to call from our DID number in the dialer.  We would prefer not to use a different phone number through the dialer and use our telephony system, but it's much slower to type in direct dialing in tasks and loses automation of task completion.  The other challenge is support.  It's only through chat, which sometimes responds within a few minutes, other times hours or days.  The reps who provide chat support are also not able to handle anything outside of very simple requests, so you end up waiting for days, weeks, even months for a "level 2" support to get to your question.

As someone who uses Apollo every day, what I like about Apollo is the seamless integration with our CRM. The tool makes it very easy to push someone's contact info to our CRM without leaving the person's LinkedIn page. 

I think it's also helpful to have a tool that can enrich contact data and send out sequences in the same tool.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

Like any other contact info company, there are some shortcomings with data. For example, I'll try calling Billy Joel at XYZ company. But when the person answers the call it's a Billy Joel not related to XYZ company at all. But for the most part, the data on Apollo is pretty accurate.

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's always challenging, especially as a startup, to build up your CRM and get contact info at scale. Apollo makes that possible and easy to do.

-It combines the functionalities we used ZoomInfo and Outreach for into a single platform.
-When the extension works properly with LinkedIn, it saves a significant amount of time.
-Has alot of prospects cell phone numbers

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

There are still several issues that need to be addressed:
-The site frequently goes down.
-It randomly becomes very slow.
-The extension often stops working, requiring me to uninstall and reinstall it about once a week.
-When you upload a CSV of leads for a sequence it typically only maps about 30% of the accounts
-Prospects direct extensions are rarely every accurtate.
-Many of the customer service representatives we interact with don't appear to have a full understanding of the product.

Sometimes it is a bug, or we don't know if it's a software issue or a problem with our internet connection.

I like that the quality of data on Apollo.io seems reasonable compared to the rest of the market. It also allows me to quickly access contact details directly from LinkedIn, which is crucial for my job as a salesperson. Having up-to-date data is essential, and I feel Apollo.io provides pretty reasonably current information that helps me contact people effectively.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The plugin can be very lagging and quite consuming of computer memory. It doesn't work seamlessly as we would like it to. It can hang if you have lots of tabs open.

**What problems is Apollo.io solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Apollo.io helps me get contact details and create contact lists for sequences. The quality of data is reasonable and I can quickly access it from LinkedIn, enabling me to contact people effectively in my sales role.

I use the free version to quickly find information on possible candidates and leads.

Sometimes the accuracy is not the best. They will let you choose if you want valid and/or guessed and I find the guessed emails to not be accurate.

I would suggest this product for those needing good data but want to save money before they purchase large data downloads.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

ZenProspect is a great email prospecting software tool for small to mid-size B2B companies. 

It provides sales teams the ability to build and manage small to large email campaigns that are targeted. 

Thanks to ZenProspect’s large contact database. 

The software takes some learning, but it enables you to build intuitive email templates and sequences that can be easily optimized and duplicated, so you can scale across other targeted audiences. 

The software does provide solid campaign reporting and overall sequence performance, so over time you can learn which email templates and sequences perform the best.



**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

The catch with ZenProspect is you need to use your email domain to send prospecting emails, which can cause you trouble if you need to send a high volume of emails per day and your email domain gets flagged for spam by Google, for example.

Best work around is to create numerous email domains, not associated with your company’s domain.

**Recommendations to others considering Apollo.io:**

Ask questions, and have them be upfront about how you should approach emailing through your email domain or an alternate email domain.

ZenProspect helps you solve two big business challenges: fishing with spears (targeted audiences/accounts) vs. nets and refilling the well with water (finding new contacts).

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

The data repository is rich filled with all accurate and precise data. I never felt short of prospects using zenprospect. It has been a tremendous help in generating leads appointments within our target market for my Director. Prospect database is updated with all necessary fields that helps a lot in nowing the prospect before interacting with them. Zenprospect is like couple of other tools into one. 

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

As a user i have always find it very helpful and helped me get results. I have not come across any disadvantage.

**Recommendations to others considering Apollo.io:**

To say it's a platform integrated with all major capabilities that sales marketing team need in reaching the market and driving revenue. Running email campaigns with  ample precise database helps in achieving the desired results and equipped with right analytics helps a lot. It's a go for any looking with these capabilities.

**What do you like best about Apollo.io?**

Apollo.io is probably the best B2B database on the market both in terms of depth and data quality. List building capabilities are also very powerful and allow to filter companies and contacts with a lot of precision. I'm so confident in Apollo data quality that I'm okay using Apollo as the main source for data enrichment.  

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

While Apollo has great data quality, it is missing a small feature which prevents us from getting the full benefits of Apollo database. I often use Apollo to enrich lists of contacts or accounts that I import from a csv file. Apollo then enriched the list but when I export the results there isn't a robust way to match the results to the row in my original file. For instance, a company I want to enrich may not have a domain name and have "ABC" as the company name. Apollo may return the same company with the domain name which is great but with a different company name like for instance "The ABC Inc." company. In this case, there isn't an easy way for us to link the original imported record to the results. Actually there are 13% of returned results by Apollo that we are unable to match to an original record without doing it manually. I suggested Apollo support to allow to push a "custom ID" value for each row of the imported file and get this ID back in the returned results so the output can easily be matched to the input. I pointed out that some of Apollo's competitors have this exact feature but it doesn't seem that this is something Apollo will consider. Overall, by not allowing to match inputs with outputs we are not getting the full benefits of the quality of data provided by Apollo. Also, I am a bit disappointed about how Apollo handles feature requests from customers. I've worked with a lot of B2B SaaS companies and small critical features requests like this one often get more attention.

We are mainly using Apollo for data enrichment and list building (accounts and contacts) we significantly improved the quality of our data since we use Apollo.

I very much enjoyed the user interface, as it is spotless and easy to navigate for someone that has never used a prospecting tool such as this. I also liked the feature where you can track the activity of your email campaigns when someone has opened your email etc.

There is not much to say about the dislikes of Apollo.io. The tool works; it gives good leads, contact details and has helped us in identifying our target customers. We, however, did not get any reply on the email campaigns we have set up (our fault, honestly). Maybe Apollo could add specific templates for email contacting, some of the most used templates used across their platform, that "work" in most cases.

Apollo.io helps me a lot when I struggle finding/guessing emails of my prospects. Very fast. Has Chrome extension. LinkedIn profile is enough for this tool to find contact information. Sometimes people from diferent divisions of the company use different domain names for their emails. Apollo knows that and finds correct domain for particular prospect.

You can't trust Apollo email verification, and I advise you always to double o triple-check if they are valid with other tools.

99% of the time I use Apollo.io extension on Chrome to find emails of prospects on LinkedIn. Often popular tools like Hunter or RocketReach sruggle to find emails that have not so ussual pattern. That's when Apollo comes in handy. Although you should always use other tools for email verification because Apollo is not reliable at it.

The Apollo.io extension is very beneficial to retrieve email addresses and contact numbers(Mostly Email though!) while being on Sales Navigator. For any salesperson  lead generation is an important part of cold outreach. Apollo surely helps with that. It's interface is pretty simple and doesn't require expertise. I personally use Apollo to mass export leads onto an excel sheet.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

Apollo.io isn't 100% reliable. As we know, a  high bounce rate can be very harmful to the sender's reputation. If you are currently using or plan to use Apollo.io, make sure to validate the emails from a separate vendor, starting a mail campaign. I have been observing over 40% of Invalid and Catch All emails recently.

Like I have mentioned, make sure to validate all the emails before any email campaign.

That it thinks smart and intuitively. I don't have to figure out how it wants to work. Rather, it works how one would think it should. It is smarter and more intuitive every time I use it. A regular and continual happy surprise.  It has changed my working life, having discovered Apollo.io.  I had used other services, and nothing is close.

**What do you dislike about Apollo.io?**

That there is a HUGE disparity between the $19/month version, and the next level up, which is $500/month for "custom."  This is nonsense, really, and dilutes the product in my opinion.  Not a well thought out payment structure.  Also, Custom and Pro Plans state UNLIMITED CONTACTS - but then in fine print they say there is a "fair access plan" and you actually are limited, totaly. It is a complete bait and switch.  Also, I find that it is near impossible to get an account manager or business person to speak with, regarding my expensive custom plan.  Tech support, no problem, but to speak to management regarding my account, I have been trying for months to no avail.

Finding contacts and leads within given accounts, and prospecting to them.  I can easily upload a CVS of just company URLS, and voila!  Apollo appends every account with full details, let's me make lists, and create email sequences.

I loved their CSV enrichment feature for bulk uploads. No other platform gives that. I have knocked doors at Lusha and several others, but this feature was the deal cracker.

Some of the data is outdated, but they do have a notify option which helps their backend team identify and correct the data. Looking forward to more accuracy from Apollo.

Love their support system. However, please be a little careful with the accuracy of the data. They do have a flagging system for incorrect data, so feel free to use that and help them improve.

Sales engagement tool + contacts in one is very helpful. UI/UX is simple to ease and good for smaller startups before they are ready for outreach or SalesLoft. I also like the reports.

Sometimes it's a bit slow to pull data from CRM and update account owner, and activity. The persona filter is not that accurate but very close. LinkedIn integration works 85% of the time. Contact info bounces a lot.

I like getting contact info like phone numbers, emails, and LinkedIn pages all synced to the right contact. The contacts are also well-paired to their organizations, which helps me broaden my search.

I'm not super confident in the quality of the contact information. Mobile numbers, specifically, should have a better response rate in my mind. I want to be sure I can reach a prospect when I call.
