## Xero Reviews
 ### 1. Intuitive UI and Seamless Integrations That Streamline Our Workflow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos H. | Sr. Financial Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I really love the clean, intuitive UI/UX of the dashboard; it makes navigating daily accounting tasks incredibly straightforward. Getting started was painless thanks to their highly structured onboarding guides and helpful customer support team. Additionally, its seamless integrations with our bank feeds and third-party payment gateways save us hours of manual data entry every single week.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

While the system is generally stable, we occasionally experience sluggish performance and slow loading times when running large, multi-year financial reports. Also, from a pricing perspective, the recent subscription cost increases make it feel like a stretch for very small businesses looking for a strong ROI, especially when certain basic features are locked behind higher tiers.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero has completely solved our disconnected workflow by serving as a single source of truth for our finances. By linking our Chargebee billing and Stripe payment gateways directly through its robust integrations, we have completely eliminated manual reconciliation and double-handling. The clean UI/UX allows our team to monitor outstanding invoices at a glance, which has dramatically accelerated our cash flow and yielded a fantastic ROI in terms of weekly admin hours saved.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Carlos, thanks for your review! We love hearing that we're serving as your "single source of truth" and you're loving the dashboard interface.

Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts here.

 ### 2. Beginner-Friendly Accounting with Fast Support, Helpful AI, and Smooth Hubdoc Uploads

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerely Mae R. | Accounting Support Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I like that Xero is easy to navigate specially for beginners and users that don't have experience can learn it faster through their Learning Tab in Xero Central.

Xero offers also wide array of services for different types of international accounting or businesses. Aside from this their pricing is reasonable given that their service is fast when it comes to fixing bugs, customer inquiry, and latest updates on banks.

Hubdoc their third party software also connects easy and makes uploading documents from email faster. There is also minimal to zero errors on the information.

Lastly, their AI support also helps me when I a have a small question I don't have the time to read it in their main website. It filters out the info I need.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Most of the times in has a bug and last from 10-30 mins. It disrupts the workflow.

I also don't like that they have limited bank feed for banks in the Philippines so we have to go to the traditional route of uploading the statements

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I sent a ticket regarding updating their bank feed for our client who has a bank in BDO and it will help me lessen the time of uploading statements tailored to the template given by Xero.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thank your taking the time to write this review. We're glad to hear that you find Xero easy to navigate and beginner-friendly, and appreciate very much the in-depth feedback you've provided us.

 ### 3. Clean UI, Powerful Integrations, and Automation That Makes Bookkeeping Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vatsal G J. | Sr. Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I've been using Xero regularly for bookkeeping and day-to-day accounting, and one of the biggest strengths for me is its user interface. The dashboard is clean, well organized, and easy to navigate, so I can quickly access invoices, bank reconciliations, reports, and client information without spending time searching through menus. This has made it much easier to train new team members because the workflow is intuitive and consistent.

The integrations have also had a noticeable impact on my workflow. I regularly use Xero with Hubdoc and Dext, and these integrations have significantly reduced manual data entry. Instead of entering receipts and invoices manually, documents can be captured, processed, and synced into Xero, which saves a considerable amount of time and reduces the likelihood of data entry errors. The large marketplace of third-party apps is another advantage, as businesses can connect tools that fit their specific needs.

Performance has been reliable in my experience. Bank reconciliations, report generation, and everyday bookkeeping tasks are generally smooth, and I haven't encountered many performance issues during normal use. Having a stable platform is important when working with multiple clients and deadlines.

From a pricing and ROI perspective, I believe Xero offers good value. While it may not be the cheapest accounting software available, the automation, ease of use, and time savings from integrations like Hubdoc and Dext make the subscription worthwhile. The reduction in repetitive manual work allows me to focus more on reviewing financial information rather than entering it.

My onboarding experience was straightforward because the interface is easy to understand, and Xero provides a good library of help articles and documentation. Whenever I needed to understand a feature or resolve a question, I was usually able to find clear guidance without much difficulty.

I also appreciate the intelligent automation built into the platform. Features such as bank feed matching, reconciliation suggestions, and document processing through integrated applications help speed up routine accounting tasks. While I still review transactions before finalizing them, these intelligent features reduce repetitive work and improve overall efficiency.

Overall, Xero has made my bookkeeping workflow more organized, efficient, and easier to manage. The combination of a clean UI, strong integrations, reliable performance, useful automation, and good overall value is what keeps me using it regularly.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Overall, my experience with Xero has been positive, but there are a few areas where I think the platform could be improved.

One issue I've encountered is that the application occasionally requires a page refresh when an unexpected error occurs. In some cases, the error messages are quite generic and don't clearly explain what went wrong or how to resolve the issue. More detailed error messages and better troubleshooting guidance would make these situations much less frustrating.

Another area for improvement is switching between multiple organizations. When working with several client accounts, the process can feel slower than it should. There have been times when I needed to repeatedly switch between organizations, and the extra clicks and loading time interrupted my workflow. A faster organization switcher, the ability to pin frequently used organizations, or improved recent-account navigation would make managing multiple clients much more efficient.

Aside from these points, the overall usability is good, and these issues don't prevent me from completing my work. However, addressing them would improve the experience, especially for accountants and bookkeepers who work across multiple organizations throughout the day.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero has helped solve many of the day-to-day challenges involved in managing accounting records efficiently and accurately. One of the biggest benefits for me is the amount of time it saves through automation. Tasks such as bank reconciliations, recurring transactions, and payroll-related processes require much less manual effort, allowing me to focus on reviewing financial information rather than entering data.

It has also helped maintain cleaner and more organized books. The clear interface and logical workflow make it easier to review transactions, identify discrepancies, and generate reports, which improves both accuracy and productivity.

Another area where Xero has been particularly valuable is compliance. For example, payroll updates such as National Minimum Wage changes are reflected in the system, helping ensure employees are paid correctly and remain compliant with current regulations. Xero also automatically updates certain payroll settings and tax codes when required, reducing the risk of manual errors and helping us stay aligned with regulatory requirements.

As an accountant, these compliance-related features provide a lot of confidence because they simplify processes that would otherwise require constant manual checks. On the occasions when I've needed additional assistance, the support team and available help resources have also been useful in resolving queries and understanding how to handle specific situations.

Overall, Xero has helped me save time, improve the accuracy of accounting records, simplify compliance-related tasks, and make day-to-day accounting work much more efficient.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, Vatsal. We really appreciate it. Happy to hear Xero is helping to save you time and streamline your business.

 ### 4. Xero Brings Clear Financial Visibility and Organized Accounting in One Place

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dar F. | Support Team Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

What I like most about Xero is how easy it is to keep day-to-day financial records organized in one place. We use it to track invoices, expenses, bank transactions, and financial reports without needing to move between multiple systems.

One feature I particularly value is the bank reconciliation workflow. Matching transactions and keeping records up to date is much faster compared to manual tracking, and it gives better visibility into our financial position at any given time.

Xero also makes it easier to collaborate with finance stakeholders because reporting is centralized and accessible. Instead of relying on spreadsheets, we can quickly review financial data, monitor cash flow, and keep records consistent across the business.

Overall, it helps reduce administrative work while giving a clearer picture of the company’s finances.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

One challenge with Xero is that some accounting workflows have a learning curve, especially for users who don’t work in finance every day. Tasks such as bank reconciliation, report customization, and account setup can take some time to fully understand when you’re new to the platform.

While Xero is powerful once configured properly, I think the onboarding experience could do a better job guiding non-finance users through key processes and explaining accounting concepts within the product itself.

After the initial setup period, navigation becomes much easier, but new users may need some time before they feel fully comfortable using all of the available features.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero helps solve the challenge of keeping financial records organized and accessible in one place. Instead of managing invoices, expenses, bank transactions, and reporting across multiple spreadsheets or systems, everything is centralized and easier to track.

One of the biggest benefits is reducing manual work. Features like bank transaction matching and reconciliation help keep records up to date without as much administrative effort. It also makes it easier to review financial reports, monitor cash flow, and understand the overall financial position of the business.

Having that visibility in a single platform improves consistency and helps support better financial decision-making.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Dar, thanks for sharing your experience with Xero, including your detailed insights into both the features and the workflow! If we can support you with further onboarding assistance, don't hesitate to create a case via Xero Central and one of the team will reach out.

 ### 5. Perfect for Sole Traders – Simple, Intuitive and Stress-Free

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Philip D. | Trainer and Hospitality Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

As a new sole trader, what I like most about Xero is how easy it is to use. The interface is clean, intuitive and makes invoicing, expense tracking and day-to-day bookkeeping straightforward, even without an accounting background. I also use ChatGPT alongside Xero, using screenshots to guide me through any new tasks, which has made the learning process incredibly simple. Xero has saved me time, reduced stress and given me confidence in managing my business finances.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

It doesn't link with Revolut Pro(Revolut Business account not available to Sole Traders in Ireland)

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a new sole trader, Xero is solving the challenge of managing my accounts without needing extensive accounting knowledge. It has simplified invoicing, expense tracking and record keeping, saving me a huge amount of time and reducing the stress of staying compliant. Having a clear view of my income, expenses and cash flow in one place helps me make better business decisions and focus more time on growing my business rather than paperwork. The combination of Xero’s user-friendly platform and ChatGPT guidance has made the whole process surprisingly easy.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Philip - thanks very much for your review. We're delighted that Xero is helping to simplify your accounting needs and saving you time and stress.

With respect to Revolut, that's correct, only business bank accounts are supported and manual uploads would be best in this instance. However, we would recommend also checking with Revolut directly regarding which business options may be available for you.

Privacy and data handling are really important. Xero now has Claude available to help you get answers and insights about your business, based on your Xero data. You can find out more about the connector here: https://central.xero.com/s/article/Connect-Xero-using-the-Xero-connector-in-Claude

 ### 6. Intuitive, Reliable Accounting with Powerful Integrations and Strong ROI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankit S. | Financial Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Xero Review
UI / UX – 9/10

Xero offers one of the most intuitive and user-friendly interfaces in the accounting software market. The dashboard is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, allowing finance teams and business owners to access key financial information with minimal training. The workflow for invoicing, bank reconciliation, and expense management is highly streamlined, reducing administrative effort and improving productivity. The mobile application further enhances accessibility for users who need real-time financial visibility on the go.

Integrations – 9/10

Xero has a robust ecosystem of third-party integrations, connecting seamlessly with payroll systems, CRM platforms, payment gateways, inventory management tools, e-commerce platforms, and business intelligence applications. The availability of a well-documented API enables businesses to develop custom integrations where required. This flexibility makes Xero highly adaptable to diverse business environments and growth stages.

Performance – 8.5/10

As a cloud-native platform, Xero delivers strong reliability and accessibility across multiple devices and locations. The system generally performs well even with significant transaction volumes; however, users managing large datasets or complex reporting requirements may occasionally experience slower processing times. Overall, the platform provides stable performance suitable for most SMEs and mid-sized organizations.

Pricing / ROI – 8.5/10

Xero offers competitive pricing compared to many traditional accounting systems and ERP solutions. The subscription model provides predictable costs while eliminating infrastructure and maintenance expenses. Businesses often achieve a strong return on investment through automation of bookkeeping processes, reduced manual data entry, faster month-end close cycles, and improved financial visibility. For growing businesses, the value delivered generally outweighs the subscription costs.

Support / Onboarding – 8/10

The onboarding experience is straightforward, supported by extensive knowledge bases, training resources, certification programs, and implementation partners. Customer support is primarily delivered through online channels, which works effectively for most users but may be less appealing for organizations seeking immediate phone-based assistance. The availability of certified advisors and accountants significantly enhances the implementation and adoption process.

AI / Intelligence – 7.5/10

Xero has increasingly incorporated AI-driven capabilities to improve efficiency and decision-making. Features such as automated bank reconciliation suggestions, transaction categorization, anomaly detection, and predictive insights help reduce manual effort and improve accuracy. While these capabilities add meaningful value, Xero's AI functionality remains focused on accounting automation rather than advanced forecasting, strategic analytics, or generative AI-driven financial management seen in some emerging finance platforms.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Consolidation Feature is not available and also Charity Accounts not available

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy Reconciliations and Cash flow analysis

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for your terrifically detailed and insightful review, Ankit. Genuinely appreciate the time you've taken to share your experience!

 ### 7. Intuitive, Efficient Accounting with Powerful Reporting and Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Savya S. | Game Development Team Lead, Computer Games, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Xero is a user-friendly, cloud-based platform that makes managing finances much easier for businesses of all sizes. The dashboard feels intuitive, the reporting features are comprehensive, and its integrations with other business tools can save a significant amount of time. While there may be a learning curve with some of the more advanced accounting functions, overall it’s a reliable and efficient accounting solution that I would confidently recommend to colleagues and other business owners.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

While Xero is a powerful, user-friendly accounting platform, there are a few areas where it could improve. Some of the more advanced features can be hard to locate at first, especially for new users who don’t have an accounting background. The reporting customization options are extensive, but they can still feel limiting when you have very specific business requirements.

As a Team Lead managing multiple project expenses and contractors, I also find that certain workflows sometimes take extra clicks than I’d expect, particularly compared with more specialized financial tools. Pricing is another consideration, since costs can add up as you enable additional features or integrations. That said, these issues are relatively minor when weighed against the overall value and efficiency Xero delivers.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero simplifies financial management by bringing accounting, invoicing, expense tracking, and bank reconciliation together in one cloud-based platform. As a Team Lead, I find it much easier to manage project-related expenses, track client payments, and keep accurate financial records without relying on spreadsheets or other manual processes. The automated bank feeds and reconciliation tools save me time, reduce errors, and give me clearer visibility into cash flow. As a result, I can focus more on development and delivering projects instead of getting bogged down in administrative accounting tasks. The real-time financial insights are also useful for budgeting, tax preparation, and making more informed business decisions.

 ### 8. Easy to Navigate and Truly User-Friendly, with Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chandice T. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

What’s been most helpful about Xero for me is how easy the platform is to navigate. As someone who had no experience with it—let alone with accounting or finance—I was able to get up to speed quickly and understand how everything works. That alone says a lot about how user-friendly it is. They also have a great support team, which, honestly, is rare to find, especially with a popular platform.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Its not really a dislike for me but rather I would like to see improvements. It would be better if its easier to set up templates because to be honest, that’s the part where i had the challenge in learning. But overall, great platform!

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem that Xero is fixing is the part where all the bills that I have paid are all over the place and for me to make sure that everything is traceable across my bank transactions, Xero helps me by already suggesting matched bills. So easy. Just upload, review and click! Less manual work for people who have their hands full

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for your review Chandice, particularly for the shoutout for our Support team. We'll make sure they see this!

We're so glad to hear that we're helping you track your financial transactions and you're finding Xero so easy to use.

Their customer support team allows for me to get same day responses to my queries. With a wide database of Q&A's, I never find myself being stuck for long with my questions!

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

As Xero continues to grow, we do find some connectivity issues from time to time. Pages crashing and error's occuring do become common on certain days, we find this mostly on Thursdays.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the integration of Hubdoc, Xero is changing the way we can work with Sole Traders, especially in the construction trade. A quick onboarding of Hubdoc onto their phones allow for us to receive receipts on a quicker basis and takes us away from the traditional bag of receipts.

 ### 10. Simple Accounting Platform That Makes Financial Work Less Complicated

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed K. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

What I like most about Xero is how simple it feels once you start using it. Even if you are not deeply experienced in accounting, the interface is easy to understand and most features are straightforward to find. Bank reconciliation, invoices, and financial information are organised well, which makes everyday work much easier.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Sometimes the platform feels a little slow, and a few workflows take more steps than I expect. I also think the AI features could understand the user's intention better and provide more contextual suggestions instead of just basic assistance.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero helps keep financial information organised in one place instead of relying on spreadsheets and manual processes. It makes reviewing transactions, invoices, and overall financial activity much easier. The biggest benefit is saving time and reducing confusion when handling regular accounting tasks.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for the thoughtful review, Mohammed - it's great to have you onboard. ### 11. Cloud-Based, User-Friendly Accounting That Keeps You Efficient Anywhere

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NURHANI B. | Assistant Finance Manager, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

What I like most about Xero is that it’s a cloud-based accounting system, which means I can access it and work from anywhere as long as I have an internet connection. The interface is very user-friendly and easy to navigate, making my day-to-day accounting tasks more efficient. I also appreciate how convenient it is to upload documents and invoices directly into the system. On top of that, it generates financial reports quickly and accurately, which helps me save time and stay organized.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

If I had to point to one drawback, I’d say some of the more advanced reporting features can feel a bit challenging for new users to learn at first. That said, once you get familiar with the system, it becomes easy to use and works very well for everyday, day-to-day accounting.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero addresses the challenge of manual, time-consuming accounting processes. It helps me by automating routine tasks, keeping my financial data well organized, and letting me access key information from anywhere. As a result, I save time, reduce errors, and find reporting much easier and more straightforward.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hello and thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback, we're thrilled to hear you're finding Xero user-friendly. It's great to have you with us!

 ### 12. Xero’s Simple UI and Automated Reconciliation Save Us Tons of Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayank Y. | Project Accounts Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

As an accountant, I take care of many research projects in our department; previously, we used Excel and Tally only, but it used to create many difficulties for me. In terms of its user interface, Xero impresses me in terms of simplicity. Everything that one requires is easily accessible, without any hassle at all. The dashboard provides a brief overview of finances, which comes in handy when the HOD suddenly calls for a brief overview of finances.

What saves a lot of time in this software is reconciliation, which is automated in our case, because we've integrated our bank feed. Usually, everything matches up automatically; however, one has to go through the list and confirm by clicking 'Ok.' We've also integrated the software with Stripe for conference registration fees paid by foreign participants, which makes everything automatic. Finally, I find it helpful when I need to ask the AI bot JAX some questions such as: "How much have we spent on the DRDO project this month?"

Onboarding was easy as well. I am not a CA; I am just a normal admin. It took me half a day to get everything done by following the onscreen prompts. What's more, their pricing was really good because of their special offer compared to what others were asking for.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

It seems the mobile application could use some improvement. If I just want to check my balance, the app works fine. However, if I need an itemized list of project expenses, the current layout doesn’t really support that, so I end up having to access the account on a PC.

Another issue I’ve run into with the accounting software is related to how our department manages different grants. While Xero lets us track expenditures by project, it’s quite difficult to create a detailed utilization report that compares budget and expenditure in a single table. At the moment, I export the data and build a custom report in Excel for the principal investigator.

One last point is pricing: the price list is shown only in USD, which means the cost depends on the current exchange rate. Having an option to pay the monthly fee in rupees would have helped in my situation.

As for customer support, the articles section works well for routine questions. But when I had an issue with a tax code for one of our sponsored projects and needed to submit a ticket, it took about two days to get an appropriate response.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m currently learning accounting software as part of my coursework at Manipal University Jaipur, and Xero has been introduced as the practical tool we use in our finance lab. Before this, the main issue was that we focused almost entirely on theory—ledgers, reconciliation, GST filing—from textbooks, with little to no hands-on exposure to a real cloud-based platform that businesses actually use. Xero bridges that gap.

It gives us a safe sandbox where we can practice using dummy company data: connecting bank feeds, matching transactions, creating invoices, and running reports. Because of that, I’m now much more comfortable navigating a proper accounting interface, not just Tally or spreadsheets, and that confidence should directly help when I step into an actual job.

It has also made concepts like multi-currency grants and automated reconciliation feel practical and real, rather than just exam topics. For an educational user like me, it’s less about running a business and more about building employable skills—and Xero is helping me do that effectively.

 ### 13. Xero Makes Invoicing and Expense Tracking Effortless for My Freelance Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashutosh T. | Software Engineer Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I use Xero to manage all the billing and expense tracking for my client-based business. It makes it easy to create invoices for ongoing projects, set up and schedule recurring invoices, and send automated payment reminders to clients. I can also snap photos of receipts to record expenses while I’m on the go. On top of that, I use Xero to run basic profit-and-loss reports so I always know how the business is performing from month to month.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

While the platform itself is great, the pricing has steadily increased over the past couple of years, which can feel a bit steep for a freelancer or solo business owner. I’d love to see a more budget-friendly tier aimed at independent contractors who don’t need advanced corporate features but still want unlimited invoicing.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Here is a shorter, more natural version that still covers everything they want to hear:

Xero solves my biggest business headache: manual bookkeeping. It completely automates my invoicing and expense tracking, saving me hours of administrative work every week.

The UI / UX is clean and simple, so I can see my cash flow at a glance without needing an accounting degree. The Integrations with my payment apps are seamless, and the overall software Performance is always fast and reliable. While the Support / Onboarding process was smooth when I first signed up, their help center can sometimes feel a bit automated. That said, I really appreciate their new AI / Intelligence features that smartly predict account codes to speed up my daily reconciliation.

My only complaint relates to Pricing / ROI. The software saves me a ton of time, but recent price hikes make the subscription feel a bit heavy for a solo provider. Despite that, the time saved still makes it a worthwhile investment.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Ashutosh, thanks so much for taking the time to share your review! We're thrilled to hear you're finding Xero so useful for managing billing and expense tracking. We also really appreciate you highlighting where you'd like to see improvements in terms of features and pricing plans and will pass this feedback on to the relevant teams.

 ### 14. Xero Makes Finance Management Simple With Automated Bank Feeds and Easy Invoicing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anshul S. | Teaching Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

The best thing about Xero is how simple and intuitive it makes financial management, even for non accounting users. The UI is clean, easy to navigate and doesn't feel overwhelming. I especially like the automates bank feeds, easy invoicing, and ability to access everything from anywhere which makes day-to-day book keeping much faster.
Xero's integration with payment platforms, payroll tools and third party business applications are also very useful because they reduce manual work and keep data synchronized. Performance has been reliable, and cloud based platform makes collaboration seamless across teams. From pricing and ROI perspective, it offers strong value by saving time on repetitive accounting tasks. The onboarding experience is straight forward, and help resources and customers support are helpful. I also appreciate the smart AI features that simply reconciliations and reporting, making financial processes more efficient and accurate.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

One thing i dislike about Xero is that the certain features aren't always intuitive for the first time users. also, some advanced accounting functions or add on can increase costs over time.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero solves the challenge of keeping financial records updated across multiple tools, spreadsheets and manual processes. Having everything centralized in one system reduces errors, improves efficiency and save significant amount of time. It gives me a greater confidence in the accuracy of financial data, makes reporting easier, and helps streamline day to day tasks. The automation integrations and real time visibility into finances also support better decision- making and smoother across teams

**Official Response from Xero:**

 ### 15. Clean UI, Reliable Performance, and Great Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Livia L. | Operations Manager, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

We like Xero because it combines a clean, intuitive UI / UX with strong performance, making finance operations easy for both finance and non-finance staff. Its integration ecosystem is an advantage for us, particularly the integration with Employment Hero for payroll and HR workflows, along with banking, expense management. Xero also offers strong value for money compared to larger ERP platforms, with lower implementation overhead and pricing that suits a growing SaaS business. The platform is reliable, easy to support through its large Australian accountant ecosystem, and increasingly strong in AI-driven automation, workflow automation, which aligns well with our focus on operational efficiency and scalable growth.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

We would appreciate more customisation and reporting flexibility as we continue to scale, along with deeper automation and AI capabilities for more complex operational workflows and enterprise-level integrations such as Employment Hero.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero primarily solves our payroll and finance administration by streamlining payroll, compliance, invoicing, and reconciliations, which saves us time, reduces manual work, and improves operational visibility.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback, Livia. It’s great to hear Xero is helping support your workflows and making things easier across both your finance and wider team.

 ### 16. Clean and powerful accounting software experience (with a few quirks)

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen H. | Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

The design choices are good - the software is clean, and who doesn't like light blue?!

Also, some of the reports are also good, in that they are easy to generate and comprehend. They also generate quickly.

The pricing of the product is in line with industry standards, no longer an expensive option, especially when considering the various integrations and that are available and the new AI features.

For new users, onboarding support/assistance is available.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The bank reconciliation screen isn’t as easy to use as other alternatives, and it ends up taking much longer to complete reconciliations when the data input hasn’t been 100% accurate.

Also, not being able to edit an invoice without first removing the payment is infuriating. Enabling a simple edit here would be a big improvement.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero helps prepare accounting/bookkeeping data for a client in a way that makes sense, which then makes it easier to prepare financial statements.

If the information in Xero is entered correctly, this can lead to potentially saving hours of chargeable time when preparing accounts, and therefore potential cost reduction to the client.

**Official Response from Xero:**

 ### 17. Efficient Financial Oversight with Ease of Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brazil S. | Board of Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I like Xero because of its ease of use and clear financial reporting. It provides quick access to accurate financial information, making budgeting and decision-making much more efficient. The interface is easy to navigate, helping me understand our financial position quickly without needing specialized accounting expertise. As someone involved in organizational governance and oversight, this ease of access to financial information is really valuable for me.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Finding specific settings or understanding the full range of customization options requires additional guidance. If Xero offered more contextual help inside setting pages, such as short tooltips, guided walkthroughs, search within setting function.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Xero to review financial reports, monitor budgets, and track transactions, which helps with informed decision-making. Its ease of use and clear financial reporting enhance efficiency. We can easily share receipts and transactions, ensuring smooth financial oversight and decision-making.

 ### 18. Effortless Bookkeeping on the Go with Xero

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa G. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I like that Xero is so easy to use for my bookkeeping needs. It helps me keep everything tidy and organized, which is great-- I don't have a lot of staff, I sort of have to take care of everything, not just bookkeeping. The app portion is very handy because it lets me manage my invoices on the go, without being tied to my office or store. I can clear payments while waiting to pick up my daughter after school or at night in bed when I can't sleep. I also appreciate how straightforward it is to clear my payments and match them to bills, as it integrates seamlessly with my bank accounts and charges and remembers prior classifications. Plus, it connects almost flawlessly with Square, which is essential for running my business. I find the screens attractive and the interface more appealing compared to alternatives like QuickBooks for a similar price. It's just a good deal!

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Occasionally, the feed from Bank of America drops and I have to restart it. It happens maybe once a year, but it's a very easy fix. Xero walks you right through how to reconnect to a bank that is dropped. I'm uncomfortable using AI for my bookkeeping, so I don't love that Xero is pushing some AI help.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero for bookkeeping in my small business. It keeps my records tidy and organized, and the app lets me manage invoices on the move. Xero also helps with payment matching, bank feeds, and sales projections. Xero saves me time and stress.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review, we truly appreciate it.

We're thrilled to hear we're helping to save you time and stress - that's what we're here for!

 ### 19. A Reliable and User-Friendly Accounting Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi V. | Senior Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Xero has an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that makes everyday accounting tasks much simpler. Features such as automated bank reconciliation, invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reporting help save a significant amount of time. Because it’s cloud-based and accessible from anywhere, and it also supports a wide range of third-party integrations, it works well for businesses of different sizes.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Some of the more advanced functionalities are only available on higher-priced plans, and new users may need a bit of time to get familiar with all the features. Customer support can occasionally take longer than expected to respond, and certain customization options feel limited compared with more complex accounting platforms.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My experience with Xero has been very positive. It simplifies day-to-day financial management and makes it easier to keep accurate records without much manual effort. The automation features boost productivity, and the clean, well-organized dashboard gives me a clear overview of my business finances at a glance. Overall, it feels like a solid option for small and growing businesses that want a modern, cloud-based accounting solution.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Ravi, thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive feedback and suggestions with us, we truly appreciate it!

 ### 20. Effortless Accounting, Minor Payroll Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abi N. | HR and Finance, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I find Xero easy to use and customizable, making it a one-stop shop for my needs. I appreciate that it keeps everything in one place, serving as a single source of truth that captures income and expenditure correctly. It's capable of producing essential reports and handling returns like BAS, Tax, EOFY along with various health reports for multiple companies and currencies. I love that it captures data in real time and allows multiple users to access it from anywhere in the world. The payroll features are quick and easy to use, it links to the ATO and Super payments, and is compliant and secure. I enjoy how Xero integrates well with other systems and can export and manipulate data effectively. It's a great accounting and payroll package.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

There are a few clunky bits, especially with payroll and how it calculates wages, plus some reports/analysis we used to have in EH we don't have in Xero. Also, it's data/transaction limited and we reached the quota, so to speak, and the whole system slowed down.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero keeps everything in one place, serving as a single source of truth for income, expenditure, and reporting. It's quick and secure, allowing multiple users access anywhere globally. It integrates with other systems, simplifies forecasting, and makes payroll management quick and easy.

**Official Response from Xero:**

 ### 21. Perfect for Solo Entrepreneurs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Koji T. | Owner and Principal Data Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I use Xero for my small business accounting and it's the only software I have, which does the job well without any functionality complaints. I find it easy to use even as an amateur, which is important since I don't hire an accountant and handle everything myself. Xero's features are good at showing the financial situation and entering records, and I particularly like the reconciliation UI. The initial setup was easy, and although I had to learn some accounting concepts, Xero helped me understand better through real examples. I also appreciate that it connects with my payroll service, Wagepoint. The performance is reliable. I think the pricing is reasonable. I think the AI integration is limited at this point.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

bank account sync doesn't include Wealthsimple

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero for my small business accounting. It's the only software I have, and it works well without complaints. It's easy to use, even for an amateur like me. I like Xero's reconciliation UI and its ability to show the situation through entry of records.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Koji, thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review! Great to hear Xero’s helping make managing your business finances easier and more approachable as a solo business owner.

 ### 22. Pleasant, Easy-to-Navigate Interface with Great Colour Contrast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathon D. | Educator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

The most important thing for me is ease of use, especially when it comes to the app and desktop interface. Xero has a format that’s very pleasant to navigate, with good colour contrast.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Moderately confusing is the ability to refer a friend for commission rewards. I opted in to this, yet it isn't a fixed to my Xero account, thus I had to create two separate accounts. Moreover, the scheme seems to be available through external providers such as 'Partnerstack' too, which complicates the service further.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accountancy tools should be simple to use. The drive should be to make a likely mundane task for most seem less daunting. I don't think a multitude of features drives the market. One could use fintech invest apps for comparison. The target audience is the average member of the public which is where sps like QuickBooks which I used briefly some tears ago, fail. Their interface is too much geared towards the professional sphere which is off putting for consumers such as myself. If it seems too complex I'm not incentivised to undertake tasks and will look elsewhere for an alternative, hence Xero.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Jonathon, thank you for taking the time to share this feedback! We're so happy to hear you're finding Xero to be so easy to use and navigate.

We also really appreciate you highlighting that the rewards scheme can be confusing, we'll take this feedback to the relevant teams. If you have specific ongoing issues with this, please raise a case via Xero Central and one of the support team will be in touch to look into it for you. Thanks again for helping us make Xero even better!

 ### 23. Honest review and critical

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad S. | Growth Markting Manager, Food & Beverages, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Best aspects of Xero, framed as a review-style answer:
1. Bank reconciliation engine. The automated bank feed matching is Xero's strongest feature. Transactions import daily, the system suggests matches based on rules and history, and reconciliation that traditionally took hours compresses into minutes. Cash position stays current in near real time.

2. Unlimited users on every plan. Unlike QuickBooks and most competitors that price per seat, Xero includes unlimited users at no additional cost — a decisive advantage for teams where accountants, advisors, and operations staff all need access.

3. Clean, low-friction UI. Non-accountants can operate it. Invoicing, expense capture, and reporting require minimal training, which matters for SMB owners without a finance background.

4. App ecosystem. 1,000+ integrations (inventory, POS, payroll, CRM, payment gateways) make it viable as the accounting core of a larger stack rather than a standalone tool.

5-Data is easily usable on Claude and other AI Tools

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Weakest aspects of Xero, review-style:
1. No native payroll in most markets. Outside the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, payroll requires a third-party integration (e.g., Gusto) — an added cost and an extra system to manage. For MENA/GCC markets, payroll and local labor compliance are entirely on you.
2. Entry-plan transaction caps. The cheapest tier limits invoices and bills per month, which growing businesses outgrow almost immediately — effectively forcing an upgrade and making the advertised starting price misleading.
3. Weak inventory management. Basic tracked inventory only: no assemblies, batch/lot tracking, serial numbers, or multi-warehouse support. Any product-based business with real inventory complexity needs a bolt-on app or a proper ERP.
4. Limited customer support. No phone support — email/ticket only, with response times that can stretch to days. For a finance system, that's a genuine operational risk during closing periods.
5. Reporting customization ceiling. Standard reports are solid, but building non-standard views (custom dimensions, consolidated multi-entity reporting, advanced segmentation) is restricted or requires third-party tools like Fathom or Syft — more subscriptions.
6. Multi-entity handling. Each legal entity requires a separate subscription with no native consolidation — costly and clunky for groups or dual-market operations (e.g., Egypt + KSA structures).
7. Regional gaps. Localization for tax regimes like ZATCA e-invoicing (KSA) or Egyptian ETA compliance is not native — you depend on integration partners or manual workarounds, whereas locally-adapted ERPs handle this out of the box.
8. Price creep. Repeated price increases in recent years, with features (like expense claims and projects) unbundled into paid add-ons that were previously expected as core.
Net: excellent for simple service-based SMBs in supported regions; friction accumulates fast with inventory, payroll, multi-entity, or GCC/MENA compliance requirements.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems Xero solves and the resulting benefits, review-style:
1. Manual bookkeeping and reconciliation overhead.
Problem: Hours spent matching bank statements to ledger entries in Excel.
Benefit: Automated bank feeds and suggested matching cut reconciliation from hours per week to minutes per day. Books stay continuously current instead of being rebuilt at month-end.
2. Lack of real-time financial visibility.
Problem: Owners making decisions on numbers that are 30–60 days stale.
Benefit: Live dashboard showing cash position, outstanding invoices, and bills due. Decisions on hiring, spending, and pricing are made on current data, not last quarter's.
3. Slow invoicing and collections.
Problem: Delayed invoicing and untracked receivables extending cash cycles.
Benefit: Recurring invoices, automatic payment reminders, and online payment links (Stripe/GoCardless) measurably shorten days-sales-outstanding. Aged receivables reports make follow-up systematic instead of reactive.
4. Fragmented owner–accountant workflow.
Problem: Emailing spreadsheets and backup files back and forth, version conflicts, quarter-end scrambles.
Benefit: Accountant works in the same live ledger with advisor access. Tax prep and closes are faster because the data is already clean and shared.
5. Scattered financial documentation.
Problem: Receipts and bills lost across inboxes, drawers, and phones.
Benefit: Hubdoc capture (bundled) digitizes receipts at point of expense; documents attach directly to transactions, creating an audit-ready trail.
6. Multi-system data silos.
Problem: Sales, payments, and accounting data trapped in disconnected tools.
Benefit: The integration ecosystem pushes POS, e-commerce, and payment data straight into the ledger — one source of truth, no double entry.
Net benefit: the core value is converting accounting from a backward-looking compliance chore into a near-real-time management tool, while cutting the administrative hours needed to maintain it — freeing owner time for revenue-generating work rather than data entry.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing such detailed feedback, Muhammad. We're pleased to hear Xero is helping simplify your financial processes and provide better visibility across your business. We also appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts on where we can continue to improve and we'd encourage you to submit any feature suggestions via Xero Product Ideas so they're visible to our product teams as they consider future improvements.

 ### 24. Great Invoicing and Reconciliation, but Bank Feed Disconnects and Tax Glitches Persist

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alys M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

It makes reconciling easy and makes for beautifully professional invoices. It does separate from the bank feed regularly, and no one seems to know how to fix this. Support is generally pretty helpful besides this issue. The AI bot hasn't been that helpful as it keeps repeating the same answers. The pricing is competitive but it used to be really affordable. This made it easier to take when the feed brakes and the glitches come up from our tax code not being in the software.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I included all in the last part but the bank feed regularly separates and no one knows how to fix this. I have to keep playing with it until it rejoins. Also, there are a few glitches that come from our tax information not being in the system, such as when I refunded a customer's delivery fee and it is still trying to refund tax associated with the fee, when there is none.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am not a heavy user of Xero. We just use it for simple reconciliation, invoices here and there and checking P&L, comparing months, etc. We don't use it for any complex purposes. Maybe tiers for people like me might be a good option?

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Alys, thanks so much for your thoughtful review! Really glad to hear invoicing and reconciliation are working well for you. We're sorry to hear about the glitches, we know how frustrating those can be. We'd love to be able to take a closer look at this, can you please raise a case in Xero Central, quoting any previous case number/s and one of the support team will be in touch.

 ### 25. Invoices, Quotes, and Reports Made Easy for a Small Business Owner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniella S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I’m not a business professional or an accountant—just a small business owner. This makes generating invoices and quotes, as well as tracking costs, so much easier than what I was doing before. The output reports are fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

its frustrating that im having to go on the highest pricing tier just to handle multi currencies. I wish the costs were seat based or based on how many people on payroll. it would be so good if you were able to just purchase the modules you need.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

my partner is in LA, this means we can both track things so easily across multiple countries and tackle things together. its also ensuring we're tax compliant etc and our accountants have direct access to our accounts.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing your review, Daniella. Appreciate it!

 ### 26. Effortless Accounting, Perfect for Non-Accountants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Will M. | Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I use Xero for accounting in my business, and it really helps me with invoicing, collecting payments, tracking costs, running payroll, and submitting my VAT and Annual returns. It just works and is very simple, helping me get things right. It's also widely used, so others know how it works. This is hugely valuable to me because mistakes can cost a lot in fines and scrutiny, and as a non-accountant, it's great to learn from it. The initial setup was very simple, and I loved that part. It was very quick to get started. The platform integrates with a large number of providers which is great and its well priced for a small business, considering how much you get and there is a lot included in the base packages. Ai support is also useful and overall performs well when we need it.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Sometimes when I want to edit something from the past, it can be a little annoying. Also, payments against expenses could be smoother as a process. I think this could be handled in a single step, rather than having to recognize the expense, then make the payment - it just feels like there's a lot going on. It could be really simple.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero enables me to invoice, collect payments, keep track of costs, run payroll, and submit VAT and Annual returns. It's simple to use and helps avoid costly mistakes. It's so good to be able to feel confident in our numbers and know we have plenty of detail if we are ever asked.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Will, thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive feedback and suggestions with us, we truly appreciate it!

 ### 27. Efficient and User-Friendly, Perfect for Small Consultants

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren F. | Managing Member, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I find Xero to be an incredibly easy choice for managing my consulting business, thanks to its ease of use and effective yet lightweight functionality. The pricing, especially with their recent promo, made it much more affordable than alternatives like QuickBooks. I love how it simplifies reconciling transactions by allowing me to easily connect my business bank account and reconcile weekly. The user-friendly interface makes designating expenses as billable super easy, which is invaluable as a consultant. The recently overhauled dashboard provides a great snapshot of outstanding items and financial performance, which I really enjoy. Not having to pay for an extra seat to share data directly with my CPA is super helpful. I also appreciate that onboarding was guided with helpful emails and resources, even though I didn't need them due to my prior familiarity with Xero.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I wish that Xero had more beautiful charts. I love a Sankey diagram, and it would be nice to see the cash flow in and cash flow out in an elegant chart. While it's pretty easy to label expenses or transactions as a billable expense, it takes several extra clicks that I wish it didn't require. Sometimes it's just not intuitive to me, maybe because I'm not an accountant or daily user of the software.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero for my single shingle consulting business. It simplifies reconciling transactions and makes billing clients a breeze inlcuding incurred costs. The recently overhauled dashboard provides a financial snapshot at a glance, and I can invite my CPA without extra charges, saving time and effort.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing your detailed insights Lauren, we really appreciate your review and it's great to have you with us!

 ### 28. Effortless Accounting with Quick Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David A. | Management Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I really like Xero's clean look and simplified navigation. It's great being able to drill down into almost any number and quickly find out what's behind it. This is really handy for accessing information fast when working across multiple clients. It's also very intuitive and seamless, making it easy to understand and assuring me that it's robust. I feel confident that when I see a number on a balance sheet, I can quickly see all the transactions behind it. Additionally, Xero's modern and cloud-based structure makes it easy to correct mistakes and understand numbers, which is a huge advantage over our previous software. The initial setup was incredibly easy, which was a pleasant surprise.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I guess group companies could be an area for improvement. At the moment if you manage say have businesses within a group, it would be great to be able to link group companies, helping record the transfer of cash and live managing of balances. Xero seems to work very well with a single entity business unit. But, there's obviously no way to link group or consolidation transactions.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero to understand our business's financial position, manage books, and produce monthly accounts. It helps ensure costs and revenue are captured well and provides quick access to detailed transactional information.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing your review, David. Great to have you with us!

 ### 29. User-Friendly Accounting Solution for Freelancers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I like that Xero is user-friendly and, despite taking a little practice, it’s fairly easy to find everything I need. The help provided is just right, not overly intrusive. The invoicing system is another highlight, working really well for me. It's easy to track current invoices and edit them if necessary. The invoice designs are simple to manage without overcomplication. Even as someone new to accounting software, I found the initial setup fairly easy, and I appreciate that I could manage it with some external help from AI.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The reconciling system is very word-heavy and uses a lot of accounting jargon, which can be complicated for a first-time user and sole trader. It didn’t really give me a good guide on how to do this. I know there is a video, but it could do with little helpful tips along the way and on each section I need to fill to reconcile.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero helps me manage my accounting for my freelance business. It simplifies tracking expenses, earnings, quotes, and invoices. The invoicing system is easy to use and edit. It's user-friendly, aiding in finding resources without overwhelming assistance.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thank you so much for this fantastic review and for sharing your experiences as a freelancer. Appreciate you taking the time!

 ### 30. Xero Makes Accounting Effortless with a Clean Interface and Reliable Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura P. | Virtual Controller and Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Xero makes accounting tasks easy, whether I’m setting up a new client, managing the day-to-day work, or integrating with other tools. It’s stable and reliable, and it offers a lot of additional features for a reasonable monthly price. I also love how streamlined the interface is: there are no pop-ups, ads, or other distractions, so I can stay focused on getting work done. Support from Xero is quick, and they go the extra mile to help resolve any issues that come up. I’m also really looking forward to the expansion with Claude for business insights.
The different buckets for invoices - draft, submitted and approved - are such a useful tool for managing a client's invoices so that future revenue is has visibility and nothing gets forgotten.
The two tracking categories also provide great dimensional reporting.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I'd love to see better project based reporting, but there are a lot of other apps that integrate so well with Xero, that it hasn't been a big limiting factor. I would also love it if we could choose to not see archived accounts when creating new reports, as this creates a bit of extra work in combing through them. More dimensional reporting with additional tracking categories would also be helpful. Lastly, and I think my biggest ask, is the ability to reconcile ALL balance sheet accounts - this is one thing that QBO has that I'd love to see in Xero.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The new auto reconcile feature is a huge improvement right now. It is causing me to look at the types of employees that we as an accounting firm want to hire, since data entry isn't really a big lift any longer. This makes us want to hire more experienced bookkeepers, and not have to pay them to do a lot of basic data entry work. This allows us to focus more on a client's reporting and analysis work, rather than just getting the monthly reports out the door. That helps our clients make better business decisions even faster.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Laura, thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive feedback and suggestions with us, we truly appreciate it!

 ### 31. Stable Bank Feeds and Easy Reconciliation Make Xero a Winner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent K. | ceo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

What I like most about Xero is that it's not Intuit. QBO is junk. Xero has its quirks, but overall it's very easy to get stuff done once you take the time to understand how Xero does things versus QBO. I especially like the sability of the bank feeds and the ease of reconciliation.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I don't really love their integration with Melio, athough it seems to be getting better. I also think their interfaces are a bit dated.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The primary problem is that my data now exists in the cloud and as a result I can quickly jump in each day and reconcile transactions on the fly. This is a huge time saver. Additionally there are just a lot fewer bookkeeping steps when using Xero versus QBD. Evenutually I hope to hook this all into an AI workflow to really save time.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Brent, great to hear Xero’s helping simplify your bookkeeping workflow and save time day-to-day. We also appreciate your thoughts on integrations and the interface, and we’ll pass this on to the team. Thanks for taking the time to leave a review!

 ### 32. Great Real-Time Visibility and Ease of Use, but Reporting and Reconciliation Feel Limited

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arkajit D. | Chief Technology Officer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

The thing that I like most about Xero is its smooth processing of real-time financial visibility in regular business activities. When working with real-life situations, such as managing several clients or dealing with expenditures within projects, it becomes significantly easier to have a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of cash flow, invoicing, and reconciliation processes. For instance, when analyzing financial statements at the end of each month, the system provides convenient access to the necessary information without requiring manual data aggregation. Moreover, it boasts an easy-to-use interface that even non-financial employees can operate using basic functions such as invoicing or spending documentation.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The first limitation I have observed while using Xero is that it has certain limitations regarding advanced reporting and customization options. For instance, while trying to create a report or view finances from different perspectives, one finds limited possibilities in doing so within Xero, hence having to resort to exporting the information and then manually manipulating it using other software programs.

Another drawback I have experienced when working with Xero is that when reconciling transactions or dealing with several of them at once, the procedure may turn out to be rather manual and, therefore, tedious. In addition, while many third-party applications integrate well with Xero, resulting in discrepancies in information that will require manual adjustments.

Finally, it should be noted that while Xero provides excellent accounting services, its pricing increases when using additional functions or involving more users, making the solution costly for large companies.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the major benefits of Xero is its efficient approach to eliminating fragmentation and reducing manual labor in the management of finances, especially in environments that have traditionally operated using spreadsheet-based or fragmented software systems. The use of different applications for managing invoices, expense management, bank account reconciliations, and other financial-related tasks in practical settings is prone to causing unnecessary delays, discrepancies, and a greater probability of errors. This is where Xero comes in by integrating all these processes into one cohesive solution and streamlining most of them.

For instance, during day-to-day activities, users no longer need to spend time and effort reconciling accounts manually or tracking expenditures. Instead, the system can automatically pull in bank feed information and suggest reconciliations to help reduce manual labor. In situations involving the management of client billing, the preparation and sending of invoices are made faster and more efficient through the integration of payments and payment statuses.

In cases where financial information must be tracked in real-time such as for cash flow analysis or managing outstanding bills users are spared from having to compile data from various sources and then analyzing them.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing such detailed feedback, Arkajit! We’re glad to hear Xero is helping provide real-time visibility and making it easier to manage cash flow, invoicing, and day to day financial tasks. It’s great to know the platform is supporting both your team and broader business needs.

 ### 33. Xero’s Automated Reconciliation Saves Me Hours Every Month

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Reconcilation with automated matching makes my life running a business as a sole trader so much easier, saving me at least an hour a week versus using a spreadsheet for my accounting needs.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The single pain point of Xero is not getting an introductory product call until after you sign up and give your payment details. It would be so much easier to refer to friends if there was a sales call that people could sign up for, rather than me being the sales call for them.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero has become my one-stop accountancy solution. It has eliminated the need for manually tracking my client jobs in a spreadsheet, and instead allows me to invoice them for work as we agreed on the scheme each month. This has saved me hours a week, and makes my end of month much easier to process and track from start to finish.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your suggestion regarding the onboarding process. ### 34. Cost-Effective, Stable Platform with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I appreciate Xero for having a clean interface and being easy to use for both my team and the clients, despite the word choices taking some getting used to. The platform is stable, and the support is responsive and knowledgeable about the product. I find the cost to value very honest, making it a very economical choice for my clients. I also like the bulk categorizing of transactions as it's a good feature. The integration and conversion team seems solid, which has been helpful during setup.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Making changes to transactions is a bit harder and not as intuitive. There is a learning curve with the language as well. There are some features that are very different than other systems. I was surprised to learn that you can move items around on your reports. It was not something I was expecting and the learning curve has been a interesting process.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I switched to Xero because it's economical and avoids high costs, AI enforcement, and interface changes. The clean interface and stable platform make it easy for my team and clients. The bulk categorization feature is particularly valuable. The main problem that is being solved is my client's desire to have a good alternative to other options. Most of the software systems are focusing on getting AI so fully involved that they are losing site of the fact that the end user might not want it. The ability to decide how much help they want. The user experience is more intuitive for the lay user as well which can make my life as a a teacher and a reviewer of the books much easier

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing your feedback! We’re glad to hear Xero is working well for you and your clients, and that the platform has been easy to use and reliable for your team.

 ### 35. Xero Keeps Improving: Strong Functionality with More Customization Ahead

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Xero’s functionality has improved a lot, but there’s still room for improvement, especially around reconciliation and AI learning.

For invoice settings, if possible I’d prefer to have an online customer template that we can preview while customising the invoice.

In terms of pricing, I feel the multi-currency function is too expensive for a low-volume company. Because of that, I’d rather use QuickBooks for multi-currency, as they offer a 50% discount to practices when subscribing to their plan.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Bulk Reclassification via bulk adjustment is difficult to use because we need to specify the exact wording, and it also pulls in other unrelated transactions, which can cause incorrect reclassification. If possible, please add a column that allows us to reclass directly from AR/AP under the name or GL code. Because sometimes we need to do bulk reclass, but we still have to do it one by one from the GL code transction or AP via line items.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GST adjustment: The 0.01 rounding for GST is very useful. It means there’s no need to pass a JE just to handle small rounding adjustments.

 ### 36. Xero: Streamlined Finances with Live Bank Feeds

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham P. | Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I use Xero to handle our daily bookkeeping, generate client invoices, track project expenses, and reconcile bank transactions in a single cloud dashboard. It's our core financial hub for keeping our agency accounts organized and tax-ready. The automated bank reconciliation and live feed functionality stand out the most. The platform uses intelligent matching logic to automatically pair bank statements with our open invoices and bills, which reduces our transactional bookkeeping down to a few simple clicks. The interface is exceptionally clean and easy to navigate compared to older, legacy accounting tools. It completely eliminates the headache of manual expense tracking and delayed billing pipelines. The platform's live bank feeds automatically pull transactions in real time, keeping our numbers accurate and ensuring we always have a clear view of our active cash flow. Connecting our banking profiles and importing our customer directory was seamless and very quick. I’d give it a 9 out of 10. The bank reconciliation automation and live feeds are an absolute game-changer for daily bookkeeping.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The reporting engine can feel a bit rigid and clunky when you need to generate highly customized financial layouts or deep, multi-variable project summaries. While standard templates like P&L work fine, tweaking them is frustrating. Additionally, the premium plan pricing can scale up quite rapidly as you add more add-on features.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero to handle bookkeeping, invoicing, and expense tracking. It eliminates manual tracking headaches with live bank feeds, keeping our finances accurate and transparent.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Shubham P, thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Xero is helping you to keep your accounts organised and tax-ready, that's fantastic to know.

 ### 37. Promising price and XERO integration, but clunky UI, inventory limits

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

So far, I liked the introductory price and the promises about what it can do. I also like that the software I use for managing students and staff reservations for lessons is working to integrate with XERO.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Extremely difficult to navigate, especially working with inventory, finding the register for my checking account, finding my vendor list, and finding items on trouble shooting descriptions that don't match what actually shows up on the screen. Also, the "Inventory Plus" integration does not do what was claimed. It said it would bundle multiple products in a package for sale but didn't mention any limit on the number of multiple products. However, it wouldn't let me enter more than 10 items. The help desk was NO help. "Its not supposed to do that." didn't fix the problem.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its supposed to be the best at solving a sales tax issue I had with QuickBooks and it may do that, but I haven't gotten the program to work correctly in other areas so I'm not confident that it will properly assess sales taxes either.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thank you for your feedback. We'd love to be able to help but would appreciate some more detail. Please raise a case via Xero Central, quoting any previous case numbers, and one of the support team will be in touch.

 ### 38. Monthly Accounting and Financial reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sourabh G. | Associate | Digital Asset Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

We’ve used Xero for a number of clients, mainly UK-based, and the interface is genuinely quite clean compared with some other tools. It’s straight to navigate, even if you’re not in it every day.

Bank feeds and reconciliation run pretty smoothly most of the time, and the match suggestions are actually useful for speeding things up during month end close.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The search feature isn’t very good compared to QBO. The Manual Journal interface isn’t great either, and recurring journals can be a bit tricky to set up and manage.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One thing that really good about is the integrations, especially with Gusto, Brex, and Mercury. The bill syncing from these platforms works really well and honestly saves a lot of time on the bookkeeping side. It reduces a lot of the manual work we’d otherwise have to do.

For us, it mainly helps in keeping client books more organized without spending too much time on initial setup. Reconciliation and day-to-day bookkeeping feel more streamlined, so we can spend more time actually reviewing things instead of just entering data.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for the 5-star review, Sourabh!

 ### 39. User-Friendly Accounting with Customizable Dashboard

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Shamlaan A. | Manager Finance, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I use Xero for accounting and finance purposes, and it has really helped me a lot in my professional career. I mostly enjoy the customizable dashboard of Xero, which lets me tailor it to my needs. Every day, I monitor my cash flows on the dashboard and use it to see my bank balances, account receivables, daily sales, and my overall business position. I also find that using Xero has helped me achieve powerful financial ratios. It's very user-friendly, which makes it easy to recommend to colleagues in the market.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I believe that stock handling in Xero needs to be improved and should be incorporated.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero for accounting tasks, and it helps me manage accounts receivable and payable, improving cash flows and achieving strong financial ratios. I appreciate its customizable dashboard for monitoring business metrics. However, Xero's stock handling needs improvement.

**Official Response from Xero:**

 ### 40. Stress free invoicing and Bank Reconciliation.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sarthak k. | Chief Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

What I love most about Xero is how much it simplifies the daily headache of bank reconciliation. Before switching, I used to spend hours every weekend manually matching bank statements to invoices, and it was incredibly easy to miss things. With Xero, the automated bank feeds do almost all the heavy lifting. For example last month I had a client pay three separate invoices with one lump sum and forgot to leave a reference. Usually, tracking that down would have taken a ton of digging through emails, but Xero's smart auto-matching suggested the exact three invoices that added up to that specific amount, allowing me to reconcile the whole thing in one click. The interface is super clean and doesn't feel like overwhelming accounting software, which makes it easy to get a clear, real-time picture of cash flow.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The biggest downside is definitely the lack of advanced reporting and customization options. It's awesome for standard invoicing and bank feeds, but creating tailored reports feels clunky. On the top of that, customer service can be pretty slow to respond when you actually need a human to help you troubleshoot an issue.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero completely solved my cash flow bottle neck caused by late-paying clients. Before using it, tracking outstanding bills and manually chasing payments took hours and always felt awkward. By setting up Xero's automated invoice reminders and online payment links, the system now handles the follow-ups for me. For example, a regular client who used to consistently pay weeks late started settling their invoices within 48 hours of receiving the automated nudge. This has completely eliminated the hassle of manual tracking and made our monthly revenue highly predictable.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive feedback and suggestions with us, we truly appreciate it! We also appreciate you highlighting where customisation could make Xero even better! ### 41. Efficient Accounting with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** nirob a. | Seasonal Sales Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I like that Xero is easy to use and helps me manage my business finances in one place. It saves me time by keeping my invoices, expenses, and bank transactions organized, which helps me keep my records accurate and makes it easier to track my business finances. The initial setup of Xero was really smooth.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Sometimes it can be slow, and some features are a bit confusing to find. It would be better if the app loaded faster and menus were simpler to navigate.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero helps me manage my business accounting, saving time on bookkeeping, organizing invoices and expenses, and offering an accurate view of financial performance.

 ### 42. Modern, Intuitive Cloud Accounting with Fast Performance and a Helpful JAX AI Assistant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

To start of the platform feels modern and intuitive, so you don't need to be an accountant to find your way around. I like where now everything is cloud-based, so we can collaborate with team members our financial information from anywhere. Everthing feels fast and responsive.

We also appreciate the ecosystem to connect to range of businness tools, including payments processors and e-commerce platform to keep data synchronized across different part of the business.

Another feature that stands out for us is the JAX, AI powered assisant making it quicker to find information and get help without having us to search menus or support article. Overall, it great job of simplifying task.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

While generally we have positive impression, there are few areas we think they could improve. Like the AI powered assistants is great to start but we notice there is room for improvement in the dept and accuracy of response for more complex accounting question. Maybe the model is not trained for those situation.

We also notice that number of integrations, setting up and managing some third-party connections can sometimes require extra configuration, why can for example JAX no do for you and come back if it need some info.

Overall, there are just minor concerns, and they don't outweight the strengths of the platform. But there is where Xero could improve.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us it is solving the challenge of managing business finances efficiently and accurately. Many people/friends that have small business struggle with manual book keeping, disconnected system and lack of real time view of they financial stuff.
Xero bring for us all these process togetheter in a single platform, making it easier to track income and expenses, and much other details.

For me, the biggest benefit is the time savings and improved visibility. Instead of spending hours on manual data entry or switching between tools, i can access up to date financial information in just one place.

Overall, Xero helps simplify financial management and focus use more on running our business.

**Official Response from Xero:**

 ### 43. Easy-to-Use UI with Seamless SPV Switching, Bank Connections, and API Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom H. | Asset Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

The UI is very easy to use, and the software lets you seamlessly flick through different SPVs/companies so you can batch-approve payments. It also allows you to connect to your bank, which is a big time-saver. On top of that, you can use an API to improve efficiency, especially when it comes to reporting.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

There is no option to view all outstanding payments from all companies on Xero, instead you have to cycle through them one by one to manually check.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves a lot of time when completing payments, because you can request that they’re paid in one go. It then sends an automatic email to the accounts team, so they can set up the payments all at once. It also makes it easy for us to check P&L reports and quickly see how costs compare with budget figures.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks so much for sharing your feedback, Tom, we really appreciate you taking the time.

We're happy to hear that you're finding Xero's UI so user-friendly and that we're helping to save you time.

We're always open to new ideas! ### 44. Easy to use and great for keeping accounting organized

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

What I like most about Xero is how easy it is to use, especially for day-to-day accounting tasks. It makes invoicing, bank reconciliation, and cash flow tracking far more manageable without requiring a complicated setup. Because it’s cloud-based, I can access everything from anywhere and keep work moving even when I’m out of the office.

Xero also integrates smoothly with a wide range of other apps and tools. That makes it easier to connect accounting with the rest of the business, rather than having data stuck in silos. The interface feels modern and straightforward, which helps reduce the usual friction that often comes with accounting software.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Many of the most useful features are locked behind the higher-priced plans, and the pricing can add up quickly once you start needing more advanced functionality.

The platform also feels a bit less intuitive in certain areas, especially when you’re trying to do something more advanced. Support can feel limited at times as well, which is frustrating when you need a quick answer.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit for me is the time saved and the reduction in manual work. Rather than constantly updating numbers by hand or trying to piece together financial data from different places, everything lives in one spot, which gives me a clearer view of the business’s finances. It’s also easier to stay on top of cash flow, share access with my accountant or bookkeeper, and make faster decisions using more up-to-date information.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Appreciate your review, thank you. It's great to hear that Xero is helping to save you time, and keeping you on top of your finances.

If there's anything you need assistance with, our support portal, Xero Central has a range of help articles as well as access to our team of specialists. ### 45. Its just a hype. Its awful accounting software. Trust me

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khunshan A. | Ceo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I liked how Xero branded itself as a SaaS accounting software, and integrations it provided.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Its an awful product. I can tell you the code architecture is not good, and that is why I think they have lot of bugs in system. The system fails even when I get a PayPal transaction. They charge you for features which are basic, but the fact is their basic features are broken. Their support is just to give you therapy hey do not be upset.

The UI, yea its beautiful, but the reason is its a SaaS and based on probably .net framework that has itself very beautiful views and widgets. It is not something they have invented something in Xero the way they boast "Beautiful Business".

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero is helping with invoices but it is not a modern tool honestly in my opinion.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Khunshan,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

We're pleased to hear that you're enjoying the UI and the variety of integrations available on Xero. It's also great to know that Xero is proving helpful with your invoicing tasks.

We're sorry however to hear that Xero isn't aligning with your specific requirements at this time. We know how important it is to find the right fit for your business, and we recognise that what works for one user may not work for another. We have taken your feedback - along with the details from your recent support interactions - on board for our team to review.

We are always looking for ways to improve, and we would value your specific input on this. If you have a moment, please share your suggestions directly with our team on the Xero Product Ideas portal - https://productideas.xero.com/

Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts with us.

 ### 46. User-Friendly Accounting Platform with Minimal Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prateek M. | postdoctoral researcher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I find Xero to be very streamlined and easy to use. It's an easy-to-operate platform, which makes it simple to navigate and locate what I need, like payslips and time management details. The user-friendly nature of Xero helps me log in without hassle, and the tabs are straightforward, allowing smooth navigation to view documents. The setup was also very easy and didn't take much time, which was convenient.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I believe it can be more streamlined so that I'm not asked for zero verify every time; just a login would be great. Also, I think it should provide more information on how my fees are calculated, as sometimes it's just one document when it could be more informative.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero for viewing payslips and managing time; it's easy to navigate and helps me see crucial salary details.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for sharing your review, Prateek. Appreciate it!

 ### 47. Streamlined Payroll with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shumailah A. | Payroll Admin, Accounting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I have been using Xero since 2023, and it has significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of my work. I really appreciate the excellent customer support. It's more than just accounting software; it's a reliable partner that supports learning growth and operational excellence. I love the reporting features. The reports are easy to customize and export to PDF, Excel, etc. They provide accurate and quick financial insights, allowing me to generate profit and loss statements and balance sheets with just a few clicks. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy for me, thanks to the simple step-by-step guidelines.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Some reports take a bit of time to customize when you need specific details, and certain advanced features can feel a little complex at first. Additionally, having more flexible options in some templates would make it better. Simplifying the reports customization interface and reducing the number of steps needed to apply filters or edit could improve the experience. Adding more preset templates for common use cases would also save time.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero to improve efficiency and accuracy in payroll management. Its smooth handling of compliance and filing, customizable reports, and quick financial insights save time and reduce errors compared to my old manual system.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hi Shumailah A., thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback! We're thrilled to hear you're finding Xero user-friendly and customer support helpful, that's fantastic to know.

We also really appreciate you highlighting areas for improvement. Your insights are incredibly valuable! We encourage you to share your specific suggestions on our Xero Product Ideas platform at https://productideas.xero.com/.

This is the best place for your ideas to be seen. Our product team regularly reviews all submissions, and ideas that gain strong community support play a key role in shaping our future product roadmaps. In fact, we've implemented features based on hundreds of community ideas. Thanks again for helping us make Xero even better!

 ### 48. User-Friendly Accounting for Non-Experts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackson H. | Musician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I like that it’s so user-friendly once you get the hang of it, and that it helps non-accounting-savvy people (like me) easily keep track of their books and finances. Especially for a sole proprietor like myself, it makes it so easy to implement and integrate into my weekly and daily business routines. Each week, 1-2 times per week, I log into Xero, reconcile all the transactions in my accounts and cards, and can rest easy knowing that my records are done, clean, and accurate!

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The only downsides about Xero is that the the user interface is a little clunky, not as sleek. There also could be more tutorials or "help" features to make onboarding and getting used to the program easier. Though of course I haven't consulted much of the customer support, so I'm sure they would be more than happy to help me walk through any issues or questions I have!

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero takes so much of the stress of bookkeeping and accounting for sole proprietors away! Before Xero, I was up to my neck in spreadsheets and computer folders keeping track of my income, who I was paid by, what expenses I had made, etc. Now it's all automatically accumulated in my Xero dashboard, where I know that - with the press of a few "reconcile" buttons, I can easily keep my records clean. I cannot wait for tax time next year, when I'll just be able to run a few reports and input data, rather than spending hours calculating expenses and write-offs!

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Hey Jackson, thanks for the terrific review! If we can help with onboarding or improving your workflow, don't hesitate to create a case in Xero Central and the team will be in touch.

 ### 49. Simple, Uncluttered Interface with Time-Saving Bank Feeds and Strong Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suman K. | Senior Data Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

The Xero interface is very simple and uncluttered so that should not be a problem for any non finance user. On the Data front, I quite like how financial information is stored and accessible. The bank feeds and updates are automatically done, so that's lots of time you're saved entering information manually. Also, good integration with other tools is also beneficial when you need to manage the various different teams working together and workflow.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Reporting functionalities are decent; for more complex requirements could have more options. In order to pull very specific information, often extra work is needed. The initial configuration can take a little long, when business rules are complex.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero enables financial data to be consolidated, and time consuming routine processes to be automated. This therefore decreases manual errors and frees up my time. For me, it also makes it easier to access correct financial data when required.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Really appreciate your thoughtful and detailed review, Suman - thanks very much for sharing!

 ### 50. Streamlined Bookkeeping with Room for AI Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katherine W. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I love how Xero makes bookkeeping so much more streamlined and helps with invoicing and paying bills efficiently. As the business owner, it gives me a really good overview of how my business is doing. The reports, especially the profit and loss and the balance sheet, are something I love because they really help me keep my finger on the pulse. They're really useful, especially for digging deeper into our financials at the end of the month to analyze how we've done against our budget.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The AI bill automation hasn't worked for me yet. It just didn't work, and it seems like quite a simple feature when I've uploaded a PDF. So it was quite disappointing.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero makes bookkeeping, invoicing, and paying bills so much more streamlined and gives me a really good overview of how the business is going. I love the reports, the profit and loss, and balance sheet, and I really feel like I've got my finger on the pulse.

**Official Response from Xero:**

> Thanks for such a great review, Katherine!
