It handles digital receipts extremely well, especially for people with high email volume. Very easy to use The setup is simple, the dashboard is clean, and the automation works without long training or onboarding. Even non-technical users can get value immediately. Great for tax preparation Having all receipts organized, categorized, and exportable makes tax season much faster and less stressful. It’s especially useful for freelancers or small businesses who don’t have dedicated accounting staff. Integrations with accounting platforms Exporting receipts to QuickBooks, Xero, or other bookkeeping tools keeps financial records aligned without complex workflows. Do not register in their 'trial period': they charge you immediately, and than gaslight you when you try to obtain cancellation. Their chat box does not work, and they do not reply to their e-mails. I have to reverse charges back on my credit card. I reported them as fraud. **What problems is WellyBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** I could help solve the ever present problem of gathering receipts when ta x season arrives, but it remains very incomplete, and misses many bills ### 3. This feature significantly increases convenience by eliminating the need to manually upload receipts or use a separate application, allowing for a seamless and integrated approach to managing my receipts. **What do you dislike about WellyBox?** I find WellyBox to be very slow, so slow that it hinders my efficiency when processing receipts. Additionally, the platform's slowdown discourages me from integrating it with other tools or software, as it seems that there hasn't been much investment into improving the service over time (I have been with them for years and each year around tax time, I kick myself for staying but it's always too late to move elsewhere). For example, they appear to have lost partnerships with Xero, i.e. no more users can be added from Wellybox. This lack of progress, slow performance, and lack of integration make me feel I can't recommend it to others. It's just not good enough in 2025. **What problems is WellyBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use WellyBox to process my receipts directly from my Gmail account, which was initially beneficial but has become slow and challenging to use. ### 5. Meh **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Rachel C. | Director of Product Marketing, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2025 **What do you like best about WellyBox?** Depending on your use cases, it's nice that you can connect directly from WhatsApp - if your business involves you're moving around in the field and buying things adhoc etc. I also have positive sentiments overall for WellyBox b/c it was really one of the first of its kind when I was desperate for a solution, and I always try to help local businesses, which WellyBox is for me :) **What do you dislike about WellyBox?** At the end of the day: - a one-time service, like retro retrieval isn't available (at least not via self service) - but rather you're routed to simply pay for a more expensive tier. - AI hasn't reached WellyBox yet, and the current capabilities for maintaining categorisation and overall organization in the app is really elementary - As a startup "born" in Israel, I had really hoped it would connect out-of-the-box with my accounting software (one of the few that we're allowed to use here), but it does not - it only connects to a single one of the approved platforms in Israel **What problems is WellyBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** For my own solopreneur business I needed to have a way to keep track of my expenses. ### 6. It scans your inbox and finds out 99,999999% of tax invoices in your mail inboxes connected to Welly Box. I don't have to waste my time by browsing my emails where my tax invoices are. Then you can categorize them, add a label or create a folder and share it with your accountant. Simple! **What do you dislike about WellyBox?** I'm missing API or webhook or native integrations. That way I could run an automated task when Welly Box pushes all tax invoices to Freshbook etc. Automatically for an accountant. **What problems is WellyBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well, it saves me time as I don't have to browse my inboxes. I have over 15 inboxes as a CEO of multiple businesses and Welly Box simply scans my inbox and finds out all tax invoices for up to 2 years. Then I can upload them to Google Drive or just share access to Welly Box for my accountant and woolaa done. Saves an enormous time.
