What do you like best?

Donor Perfect has a great staff from start to finish. Their sales team is knowledgeable about which aspects would be most beneficial. Their data conversion specialists are very detail oriented and skilled at the transfer of data. The training team is also very skilled and helpful in answering questions. What do you dislike?

There is a lot of information and uses available within the software , it can be difficult to retain some of the training there is so much given at one time. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The software allows our team to merge and streamline the transferred database and ways to apply filters to use the information that has been and will be recorded. Updating addresses is an added feature as well as Constant Contact. The dashboard provides current giving information as well as a report section and the ability to customize reports. We are also able to generate communication and mail merge in house instead of outsourcing to a printer. We are using Online forms to accept donations which seamlessly integrate with Donor Perfect. What do you like best?

I love the support of all of the staff at DonorPerfect. Our set-up within their system is a bit tricky and the support team is always ready and willing to jump in and help us out. When you set out to decide which CRM to go with to meet your needs, be sure to consider your ability to communicate with your constituents using the email tool within the program and that the support team is easy to access. The email tool within DonorPerfect is the integration of Constant Contact which we love. Constant Contact has email marketing down and wisely, DonorPerfect did not try to reinvent this but rather team up with a third party provider who already had this mastered. What do you like best?

I like that with DP, it automatically gives tips while using the program to help you sort and pull the right information. I also like that it flags possible duplicate donor contact entries and ask for clarity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I often have issues with pulling/exporting excel information from DP to run reports. I think it’s probably more of a user input error than design feature; but there is usually a discrepancy with sorting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We utilize Donor Perfect to track not only sponsors, and donors, but to keep track of call logs and business helpline contacts that reach out for brain injury resources. What do you like best?

The staff are extremely helpful, you can either call them or go on Chat Online. You can create your own reports and add to the screens through the screen designer. in 95% of cases you can pull any report you need. It is easy to work through and find what you are looking for. The knowledgebase is great if you have a quick question, there is usually an answer there - if not you can contact direct. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

That there is that 5% whereby you cannot create a report to look like you need. I am always worried when I have do calculation fields and have to call to have someone walk me through it. The same when I have to export/import to do Global Updates. Even though customer service is great, sometimes when you need a problem solving straight away it is not so easy and the problem has to be moved up the ladder and it could be a few days before you get an answer. What do you like best?

I have been using DonorPerfect for three years in the non-profit sector to help consolidate and streamline our e-commerce services and registration forms with our website. I really like that it is easy to use, the dashboard and website management is easy and simple to navigate, the site itself is quick, the customer service is AMAZING (they literally help troubleshoot and answer all your questions very fast!), and that the metric reporting on the backend is very good. What do you dislike?

The cost and associated fees, so I would assume that would be one downside of using DonorPerfect, but that is to be expected with any tool or service. It is worth the cost, however, if you managing hundreds in your database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DonorPerfect is a great tool. We have been using it for our agency for over 3 years with continued success and would like to let people know to give it a try. We have a database of over 11,000 people and it helps manage and execute our task of donor registrations for events and workshops. We receive many funds through weblinks and it helps us integrate this onto our website. We have been able to save time and it helps us with reporting as well. With DonorPerfect, our agency is able to solve our issue of combing website management and e-commerce together in an easy to use, quick to manage, application that just about anyone can use. We are able to save time by not having to go around different paths to get the same job done. All the tools we need are there under one application. What do you like best?

I really like the user interface of Donor Perfect. Their support team is usually very responsive and the reporting functionality is robust. I also think the user interface lends itself to learning how to use the database quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I dislike the way that reporting is structured. For example, there are multiple different ways I can pull financial reports however I would rather have a single way to be able to pull a monthly donor report or a lapsed donor report that captures donors who haven't given in 2+ years without having to use a custom filter. What do you like best?

DonorPerfect is easy to use, Their support is awesome - very quick to respond. We are able to record on sub-accounts and have sub-account profiles. Reporting is great and their online donation portal works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the fact that donors cannot have a login portal. I also don't like the way they handle split gifts - especially if they are recurring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use DonorPerfect Online (DPO) to manage all aspects of donor activity/CRM. We use DPO to batch enter donations, receipting - both paper and electronic, we sync DPO with Quickbooks Online, and we use the online forms for online donations. What do you like best?

The ability to add personal notes to each record in the contacts field and trace which contact method was employed makes survey tracking easy. We can then send donors content which appeals to their interests and passion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

We have a few reports that we needed to pull that was organization-specific that weren't built into the system but we were able to create. What do you like best?

DonorPerfect is the ideal fundraising database software for my mid-size nonprofit organization. It is very user-friendly, and you can customize just about anything you could think of, including what fields are visible on what screens, custom fields, reports, and custom reports. If there is not already a report for a data set you are looking for, their customer support team is AMAZING and can tell you exactly how to obtain the data and info you need. Their customer service is top-notch. Everyone I've ever spoken to has been very genuine, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have never waited more than a few minutes to receive a satisfactory response to an inquiry. The software is very easy to use, organized and set up in a logical way, and can be accessed from anywhere, even on a mobile device, which is great for on-the-spot needs like looking up a phone number or making an immediate change to a record so you don't forget by the time you're back in the office. What do you dislike?

I can truthfully say I have never had any issues or concerns with Donor Perfect. I had trouble figuring out on my own how to run a report that would provide me with a certain set of data once, but I contacted support and was able to run the report within 5 minutes. I think it's awesome to know that you can contact them to help with questions like that any time. Over time, I've become more familiar with the software and reports and have not had any more instances like that, but I know if I do, they will have a solution for me. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

DonorPerfect is the perfect tool to help keep me and my colleagues organized. You can sort your donor records a million different ways, add in any kind of notes or special data that might be helpful in future interactions with them, and edit your donor records within seconds. I love the "Dashboard" task manager tool, which allows you to schedule specific tasks for specific donors. I am able to schedule a reminder for myself to send a birthday card to Donor X a week before their birthday and it literally shows up on my dashboard the day I schedule it. If I get behind, it will still show up the next day as "1 day overdue", so I don't have to worry about it disappearing or forgetting to send Donor X a birthday card. The ability to organize and sort donors based on various data and the Dashboard are definitely the most helpful aspects of DonorPerfect for me; they help me stay on track and keep everything in one place, (instead of all over my desk on 16 different sticky notes!). What do you like best?

I enjoy how user friendly DonorPerfect is. There are a lot of drag and drop features for running reports. We enjoy how many videos and tutorials are on their site. If we have a problem with anything, we just watch a video our email our service support representative. I have used Raiser's Edge at a previous agency and it seemed as if we weren't fully utilizing the database. With DonorPerfect and the ease of use, I feel like we are using all that we are paying for and there aren't any hidden modules. If you are a small non-profit, I would highly recommend DonorPerfect. We also fully utilize what DonorPerfect offers on the mobile platform. If I am at a meeting or a donor lunch, I can quickly look up important information that will help fundraising efforts. I would say that the price is friendly as well. When you start to explore other platforms and CRMs, the prices can be very high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

There isn't much to dislike about DP. Again, I can't stress enough how easy it is to use. I think it would be a lot better if DP would offer in person support or training. If someone would come to our office and physically show us tricks/tips, we would utilize all that DonorPerfect has to offer. The app also allows for on-the-go usage of Donor Perfect. Perfect if you are out giving a speech or at a community event and you need to double check or review previous giving. I think that it would also be beneficial if DonorPerfect allowed for a la carte options. We arent using every single aspect of the CRM, so if they could allow us to pick and choose, that would be awesome and it would help lower the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would highly recommend using DonorPerfect. Very user friendly. I commented above about how friendly the price is as well. When you look at other CRMs, DonorPerfect is a clear winner when it comes to overall value and usability. The mobile application is really useful when you are out in the community or at speaking engagement. You can quickly look up previous gifts or event attendance. We have made the commitment to DonorPerfect as our central fundraising and donor database. We previously had several smaller CRMs and we decided that having all of our data and donor information centralized. We are using DP to input donor data and run/pull reports. It is very easy to input data and pull reports. We are working on fully integrating DP services into our Development Department. If we can figure out how to sync up DonorPerfect and Quickbooks, we will save ourselves a lot of time and double entry for gifts. We have a new Development Manager that has been tasked with these efforts. We've built "Technology and Efficiency" into our strategic plan and DonorPerfect plays a large role in our efforts. I we can really double down on DonorPerfect I firmly believe that we can raise a lot more fundraising dollars. If we can do that, we can ultimately save more young lives from suicide in Colorado. What do you like best?

What do you dislike?

Although I find the reporting aspect of DP pretty easy to generate simple reports, I sometimes struggle with more complex reports. I'm not sure if I am using the correct report to generate the information that I am looking for. DP has great capabilities, very powerful software and I may need to utilize the support staff when I do encounter a challenging report. Still so much to learn! What do you like best?

The online platform including the integrated web forms that can download into the database. The flexibility and ease of customizing. How easy it is for a user to understand and quickly get up to speed. The responsiveness of the support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

We would like to allow no duplicates of email address - would prefer it to be a unique field. We would like to be able to add sections to online forms that are just text and/or graphics. Right now a section is for collecting money and donor information. We can use text fields and put some html into those fields but it is clunky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you are a small to mid-sized development department - this is the program for you. It is user-friendly; you can have volunteers use it and limit their ability to access or change certain information (allowing you to expand your work staff in this area); you pretty much pay for what you need (we started with DonorPerfect Lite because we had so few donors but have since grown and moved to the next tier); DP has modules that allow for easy integration; there is a lot of useful training videos and plenty of opportunities to participate in learning sessions at no cost. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

First it was a cost savings allowing me to avoid capturing donor information in an excel spreadsheet. Now that our donor base has grown we have moved to the next tier of DP and can easily import information from forms and merchant accounts purchased through DP. Plus I love the seamless way DP works with Constant Contact. We are a two person office and recognize the importance of gathering as much data as possible but do not necessarily have the bandwidth to do it. The seamless integration of the aforementioned programs is a welcomed time saver as well as an invaluable asset for future moves management activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
