That said, the features are fairly basic and it can be difficult to navigate the PayPal site as it is very bloated and things have been added over the years without proper design so menus etc can be quite convoluted. **What do you dislike about PayPal Invoicing?** Navigation and feature sets. I find a dedicated invoicing and accounting tool serves the purpose much better and that most of these tools are easier to navigate. That might be partially because they are newer tools that aren’t relying on frameworks set up 25+ years ago. It has made it easier for me to not worry about long processes to add new products or temporary services. Yes the platform is a fantastic place for record keeping however not all sales go through it and records on invoicing leave book keeping with discrepancies. You can save multiple invoice templates & contacts. You can save frequently invoiced items & costs. Customers can pay using their PayPal account, or check out with their credit card, Venmo, or pay over time. The pay over time option does not affect how quickly you are paid. You get the entire payment at once & the customer pays monthly. **What do you dislike about PayPal Invoicing?** PayPal invoicing allows you to add your company information & logo, but it does not allow you to change too much about the look or feel of the invoice, so it can be a little generic feeling. PayPal will also constantly ask you to apply for a business loan through them. Every time you log into your account on a desktop, it will ask if you want to apply for a loan. I don’t have to create a separate payment link or use another payment portal and then send that to the client. I can create the invoice and the payment option is already part of it, so the client can open the invoice and make the payment from there. I also like that the invoice looks professional when it is sent to a client. It gives the client all the payment details in one place, which makes it easier to understand what they are being charged for. For my business, where I send invoices to clients for different services, having the invoice and payment process together saves a step and makes following up on payments a little easier. The biggest advantage for me is really the convenience. I can send an invoice and the client doesn't need to ask me separately for payment details or another link. **What do you dislike about PayPal Invoicing?** The main thing I dislike about PayPal Invoicing is the limited customization. The basic invoice works well, but for my type of business I sometimes need to provide more information than the standard invoice fields allow. For example, when I am billing a client for a service, I may want to add a more detailed description of the work, break down what is included, or mention specific requirements or terms related to that particular job. I would find it much more useful if there were more options for custom fields, additional description lines, or the ability to add custom sections to an invoice. At the moment, I sometimes have to keep the invoice description fairly short and explain the additional details separately to the client. It is not a major problem for simple invoices, but it becomes inconvenient when the invoice needs to explain a more specialized service. More flexibility in invoice layout and custom fields would make PayPal Invoicing much better for businesses like mine. **What problems is PayPal Invoicing solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of the main problems PayPal Invoicing solves for me is making it easier to collect payments from clients, especially when the client is not paying through a normal bank transfer. As a small business, setting up a separate payment gateway can be time-consuming and can involve technical work, especially if I want to accept card payments through my website. With PayPal, I can create an invoice and send it directly to the client without having to build a separate payment system. This is particularly useful when I have clients outside India. I receive payments from clients in different countries, so having a payment option that can handle international transactions and different currencies makes the process much easier. I don't have to explain complicated bank transfer instructions to every client or set up a separate payment method for each country. It also makes the payment process more convenient for the client because they can open the invoice, see exactly what they are being charged for, and make the payment from the same place. Its great for online sales and my customer doesn't need to be present in the store and i use it for layaways which gives my buyers more time to pay. I love that I can dispay my business logo, address, website, and phone number which professionalizes the invoice. Even if you are a beginner all of the form fill ins make sense and lead you to put the information in. If you are regularly invoicing the same client then all of the information can be copied to aa new invoice and you can keep track of all that has been sent and paid already. **What do you dislike about PayPal Invoicing?** I honestly can't think of many reasons to not like paypal invoicing. I've never come across any major failures or anything hindering me from sending an invoice out. It lets me put in exactly what is being paid for. I like that you can even make an invoice for a later date. It is customizable as well. It also lets you upload your logo and it shows you how it will appear as a charge for the customer. All around it is a good tool and it also has a card connected to your balance so you can use it immediately. There are no downsides so far to using paypal invoice that i have come across so far. It acts almost like an all-in-one way of tracking income and reconciling at the end of the month with detailed reporting of sales. **What do you dislike about PayPal Invoicing?** One customers are allow the option to pay by ACH, there should be a clear message to the customer that there may be delays in the payment. Sometimes delays in the payment cause delays in production. Also, sometimes the delays are excessive if the client uses a certain type of bank account. It's much easier when they pay with a card. **What problems is PayPal Invoicing solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find PayPal Invoicing very easy to use, allowing me to create invoices and get paid directly the same day. It saves all my line items and tracks outstanding invoices, serving as an all-in-one way to track income and reconcile sales.
