**What do you like best about Payworks?**

As an HRIS managing bi-weekly payroll for over 500+ employees, I find Payworks extremely user-friendly and reliable. The system makes payroll processing seamless with features like automatic CRA remittances, audit trails, and ROE generation. I especially appreciate the detailed reporting tools and how easy it is to make retroactive entries or update pay changes. Onboarding new employees through the platform is also simple, thanks to built-in checklists and preloaded templates. The time-off and approval workflows keep everything organized and reduce back-and-forth communication.

**What do you dislike about Payworks?**

While Payworks is strong on compliance and usability, the reporting dashboard lacks customization options. For example, I can't easily create custom visualizations or filter metrics by department without exporting the data into Excel. The interface also feels a bit outdated and could benefit from a modern refresh to enhance the user experience, especially when comparing it to other HRIS platforms.

Payworks has helped reduce manual errors and saved our team countless hours by automating routine payroll tasks. It ensures compliance with CRA, handles complex payroll adjustments like retroactive pay or manual bonuses, and makes it easy to track vacation, sick time, and lieu balances. During a payroll audit, I was able to quickly retrieve historical changes and approvals, which made the process stress-free. The platform also supports benefit integration, which reduces duplication when managing deductions and enrollment changes.

Easily adaptable and did not require a tutorial or further guidance from HR dept.

**What do you dislike about Payworks?**

It takes a bit of navigating to see deductions, taxes, etc. I don't like the HOVER function.

**What problems is Payworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can easily toggle and review from one month to the next to ensure my commissions were paid. I can specify the month for these details if ever I need a reminder.

**What do you like best about Payworks?**

This system made sense. It was easy to use as both an Administrator and an Employee. 

The Dashboards feature was my favorite part. Logging in to see whos anniversaries/birthday were occurring was an important feature for me.

**What do you dislike about Payworks?**

Payworks was old and outdated and needed a system update. 

It sounds like they have been making the necessary updates to stay current with the market. So, I imagine any of the previous issues I experienced with Payworks have been updated to no longer exist.

**What problems is Payworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue we experienced with Payworks was just the outdated system. 

Whenever a problem occured, all we needed to do was reach out to our assigned rep, and we'd hear back almost instantly with a resolution being actioned. 

Our reason for leaving Payworks was because we were looking to move to a Full HR service platform. From what I can gather, Payworks is getting better at becoming a full HRM.

I am not sure what the cost to the organization was for Payworks implementation. It was in use when I had started my time with Swish.

payworks is user friendly, laid out well, and is intuitive to all users, even those who may not be the best at working with computers.  This is the best payroll & time management software i've used.

there is nothing i dislike about payworks

We used Payworks for payroll, as well as vacation and time management.  payworks allowed the team to independently access all their pay information and vacation time easily and quickly.

Payworks has a clean look and is user-friendly. I like the option of bookmarks for shortcuts on the frequently used links.

I have yet been able to save frequently used reports. This is the only part that is not simple about the platform.

Payworks helps us achieving a Paperfree environnment. No more cabinets full of employee files.

You can log your vacation requests, see the remaining available hours. It's easy to start and end your working shift.

I understand it's a security feature, but Payworks logs me out too quickly.

It saves me from keeping track of my hours using a spreadsheet and keeping track of my vacation days.

**What do you like best about Payworks?**

Easy to read calendar. Easy to submit time off requests - no way to mess up! You have to submit leader for approval before even entering timeframe. Once requests are approved an email goes straight to the employees work email for verification, followed by another approval/denial email once their leader has approved/denied request. Payworks is visually easy to navigate and cannot get lost into the website as there is minimal buttons.

**What do you dislike about Payworks?**

Nothing to dislike! Only positive feedback from all employees even the non-technical savvy ones. The only mistake I find employees regularly doing is accidentally submitting their time off request for 2 days instead of 1. This is an oversight that once explained to employees they know to keep an eye out for this.There is nothing more that I dislike! I am so happy our organization switched to Payworks!

**What problems is Payworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving issues of submission to the proper leader for approval, and submission of requests within the pay period. Other benefits include: Employee responsibility for their own time management, no more missed requests leading to overfilled vacation and time-off banks. I have seen nothing but benefits to switching to Payworks for our organization and would recommend this system for any organization looking for user friendly, easy to teach, and fast efficient time off management system.

I like how easy and intuitive  it is to use and how responsive the team is when you need any help. Great price and they do the majority of work for you. Would 100% recommend. Some features weren’t as intuitive at the beginning but they always work to improve and make things run smoothly.

There isn’t anything that I dislike. I’m a big fan

They prepare all T4 for you, creating an ROE is a breeze. Same with onboarding process or keeping things organized.

The connection was slow at times on a network that was fast for other websites. Had to reset my password twice because it didn’t save it the first time

Very user friendly, easy to use, full service with ROEs, T4s and statutory remittances is tremendous help for busy payroll department. Plus very helpful and knowledgeable customer service team. Improved security. Affordable

There’s nothing to dislike. Although with this new CEWS their earnings report view mode could be improved a bit

The pay stubs can be issued electronically and every employee has his/her own access account.

**What do you dislike about Payworks?**

If an hourly employee’s rate is changed during the pay period, there is no way to show two rate breakdowns. Instead, we have to adjust the total amount after keeping the original rate.

The work efficiency is improved as pay stubs, ROE and payroll reports can be all electronic and easily accessible online.

It's user friendly interface and their amazing customer service. When you call their support, they literally answer the call within 3 minutes and always know how to fix your issue.

**What do you like best about Payworks?**

Payworks is a straightforward system which allows employees reasonable access to their pay and time information. It gives employers considerable control over the management of the pay and time matters of their business.

**What do you dislike about Payworks?**

Cluuunky GUI. While responsive enough in both mobile and desktop, the GUI is clunky, requiring what seems like too many clicks and back & forths. 

**Recommendations to others considering Payworks:**

It seems to do the job, although without sufficient benefits that I'd really recommend it. I could inform someone it exists, but as of yet I haven't moved past ambivalence about Payworks. They recently did a facelift on the login screen; unfortunately I think it's aesthetic has thus decreased. Our company has found the Vacation Request system to be less useful to us than a simple paper system, which is a gloomy strike against the product, as it exists to make such matters electronic/digital.  There is ability to add notes to time cards, but it is too click-heavy without needing to be. Furthermore, our system is somehow set to automatically assign a 30-min Unpaid Break every day, even though an employee may not in fact take that break. It also assigns this break at apparently unpredictable times-- at least, we can't really figure out what basis it decides that suddenly this time one day, another time another day, is the commencement of this unavoidable 'break'. We're not aware of how to stop this happening, although it is probably something that can be done.

**What problems is Payworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business uses Payworks, and it is certainly serviceable. It definitely is of benefit to give employees this flexibility in how to sign in and out, how to view their time cards, pay information, etc.

The application is straightforward and easy to navigate. You can easily access you pay statements and tax forms online. The Calendar functionality is a nice way to view your time-off.

It isn’t integrated with our benefits program. Navigation could be improved with links to the other pages.

From a user perspective, I can easily access my pay statements, tax forms, and manage my vacation online.

**What do you like best about Payworks?**

I like how easy it is to access your pay statements and any tax forms you man need. So much easier to view it online. It’s such a simple interface that it’s not hard to use. 

**What do you dislike about Payworks?**

A couple of things I dislike is that you need to remember an additional piece of information to sign in. Which is your customer ID. It should only be username and password because I can never remember the customer ID. Also don’t like how big everything looks when you are on a desktop computer. It’s like you are viewing it on a mobile device and where it’s a big screen it’s super big

There aren’t any business problems that I’m solving with Payworks but some benefits that I have realized are quick access to my pay statement and any tax forms that I may need.
