What do you like best about Countable?

Countable has made our compilation engagements significantly faster. The interface is clean and intuitive — pulling in trial balances from our cloud accounting software and generating financial statements takes a fraction of the time it used to. What do you dislike about Countable?

There are still some areas that feel a bit clunky. A few UI elements feel unfinished, and certain workflows require more clicks than they should. There are also minor bugs here and there. What problems is Countable solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Countable, our compilation engagements involved a lot of manual work — mapping trial balances, building lead sheets, and formatting financial statements across multiple tools. Countable centralizes all of that into one platform and automates the repetitive steps. It's cut down our engagement prep time significantly and keeps everything in one place, which is especially helpful when collaborating with team members remotely. "Countable keeps me in compliance"

What do you like best about Countable?

I began using Countable after a desk inspection, when it was suggested that I find software to assist with preparing compilations. Before that, I relied on paper checklists and spreadsheets. As a sole practitioner, I wasn’t interested in desktop software, since it seemed more than I needed and more than I wanted to invest in. Countable has made it much easier for me to stay compliant with CPA Saskatchewan, thanks to its direct integration with PACT and PEG checklists. The document repository allows me to keep the entire file in one place, including all source documents and client-signed reports. When it’s time for inspection, I can simply download the complete file and submit it. Countable keeps me organized and has truly streamlined the CSRS 4200 standard for all my compilations.

I also want to commend the Countable team. They have always been extremely supportive whenever I’ve had a problem, a question, or needed additional training. My staff has also been able to reach out to Countable directly and have learned a great deal about the software.

I really appreciate that Countable is online rather than desktop-based. I don’t have to worry about maintaining software or hardware, and it’s always up to date, safe, and secure. It’s also important to me that Countable is a Canadian company, especially regarding data security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Countable?

It's difficult to find much to criticize about Countable. The only issue I've encountered is that it can sometimes be a bit glitchy. "It’s continuously growing on me!"

What do you like best about Countable?

I recently started using it for year end prep, as I don’t do audits or reviews. The more familiar I become with the software, the more I’m liking it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Countable?

I have found the processing time btn clicks to be a bit slow, but this may be an isolated issue to me. I’m unsure.

I’m still also getting used to the work papers feature - I’m so used to excel/google sheets that I want to have that same working paper functionality inherent in the work papers section. And perhaps it does, but I need to spend more time in Countable to figure that part out.

Lastly, the T2 completion checklist formatting is hard to follow. It would be nice to be able to filter, highlight Qs for follow up, etc. so I can track the status of completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Countable is a powerhouse! Setup was a breeze—up and running in just 10 minutes, ready for my first client. Bulk client uploads save tons of time and enabled me to have all the clients loaded in the system quickly and ready to start engagements. With auto-mapping hitting over 80% accuracy mapping trial balances is fast and painless. Countable standardizes file prep, slashes errors, and eliminates manual headaches, turbocharging preparation time. The GIFI export is a game-changer, making T2 prep faster and more accurate. Support is fast, responsive, and feedback is genuinely valued which helps drive improvement. Countable allows formatted trial balances to be imported which accommodates any accounting system. Seamless integration with Xero and QuickBooks Online makes file preparation a breeze. We use Countable daily for all corporate clients, whether for financial statements or just tax returns. "The best value for money"

What do you like best about Countable?

Countable allows for the generation of financial statements that comply with the accounting standards of our region and for the completion of corporate tax returns. Integration with Quickbooks Online is done quickly, without the need to import data or perform complex manipulations. The IGRF is exported directly into the tax return, making the process quick and efficient. It is therefore no longer necessary to manually enter information into the tax return, saving valuable time. "Year ends made easier and automated"

What do you like best about Countable?

I love how Countable connects right with QBO. It pulls in the trial balance for me and posting back year end entries is super quick and easy. I also like that they are always updating and adding new features, especially with AI, which keeps making the process faster and smarter. What do you dislike about Countable?

Countable makes year end prep way easier and faster. Instead of inputting numbers, it connects right with QBO and brings in the trial balance for me. Also if clients make updates in QBO, it will easily identify the accounts that changed and update them. Posting back year end entries is quick too, so I don't waste time doing extra work.
