Although it spanned 8 weeks, the process itself was smooth and seamless. Bynder really did the heavy lifting. Our onboarding manager, Nick Nguyen, was awesome! He was very timely in responding to emails and always remembered to follow up if he didn't have immediate answers. He had great suggestions for our use cases and brought a positive attitude to what can feel like a daunting task. I'm excited for our team to use Bynder and see how it can improve our work flows and cross team collaboration. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** I wish we could get more direct answers on feature requests. There are some limitations that I think improving would make me give the platform a 10/10. For example, you are not able to preview GIFs unless you turn on public sharing. This is a big miss for our team as the assets are internal use only and primarily GIFs. So users have to download each time to view the animations rather than being able to quickly skim the assets in the DAM itself. But, it is still a much better DAM solution than what we've had in the past. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bynder is allowing our team to create a central repository for assets. I saw that we had thousands of duplicate files in our old DAM, which is a result of a messy and out-of-control folder structure which was clearly in need of some love - and migrating it all onto Bynder whilst keeping the metadata in place essentially futureproofs our asset management. The onboarding team of Shelly and Rosali were incredibly helpful (and patient!) in addressing what feels like an endless stream of questions from me and made the move over as easy as possible, particularly given the very niche features that I wanted to implement! **What do you dislike about Bynder?** The only downside from me is that images aren't able to be displayed in full-resolution on preview - but this seems like it can be mitigated by increasing the size of assets when displayed as a group. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Storing and making easily available hundreds of thousands of images from a wide array of businesses and areas. Integrating into our website and creating a seamless workflow for adding images to our site and making sure only the very best content is seen. To date, we store 150,000+ assets in our DAM. As an Admin, I find the ease of using Bynder's taxonomy section amazing. There are many features that allow me to customize and add additional filters for maximum efficiency and productivity. The bulk edit function makes the ease of implementing changes much quicker. Finding the desired content is a breeze with filtering, even for employees and outside users do not frequently use the site. The ability to share collections is helpful for our business as well. Customer Support repeatedly exceeds my expectations. They’re friendly, prompt and courteous. I’ve visited the Resource section on Bynder.com and have been very pleased with the amount of content they have ranging from guides, videos and even webinars. I highly recommend Bynder for any company that is in the market for a user friendly platform that helps maintain brand consistency. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** The Asset Bank has a click and highlight feature that is super useful, BUT that function does not currently exist for the Collections so there is not a faster way other than individually selecting collections to bulk delete or transfer ownership. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bynder houses all of our assets in one convenient, filterable environment that helps streamline productivity and maintain brand consistency. ### 15. As it is highly customisable, the end product is something which really fits into our oganisation's needs. It is certainly not an 'out of the box' programme and takes significant time and work to establish the taxonomy however the onboarding team were incredibly knowledgable (& pateient!) and really guided us through the process - thanks again Jakob & Shelley. From a techincal perspective, Bynder offers a very comprehensive package for all things related to digital asset management, the ability to tailor the elements adopted within a package has been really useful. Similarly the ability to integrate Bynder with our existing systems and softwares has been helpful. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** The tailored & customisable nature of Bynder has been great however I must emphasise that it requires significant amount of work to build the system - and will likely continue to require a significant amount of work to maintain the platform. Our onboarding managers Jakob and Shelley were fantastic as we went through several iterations of our taxonomy but it must be noted that setting up and adopting Bynder cannot be done (effecitively) without significant work. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bynder enables us to house all of our digitial assets and content in one place. Previously we were using several different platforms in order to store and share files - which not only is ineffiecent and costly but also lacks professionalism - but Bynder offers the capability to bring all of these functionalities under one roof with a sleek user expereince. ### 16. Automatic AI tagging not available on the mass uploader and the ability to mass change attributes via CSV; however customer support is always obliging therefore this hasn't been too much of a problem. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bynder provides a single source of truth for all our creative assets and photography. The robust taxonomy ensures users can easily find the assets they are looking for and there are excellent control to restric assets from users that shouldn't be accessing them. As a result we have fewer people running around sourcing and recropping assets for people in the business, and the risk of missusing creative assets, especially around talent licensing has been reduced. Our eCom images are also stored in the DAM and the DAT URL feature controls and streamlines how our photography is served online improving load speeds for our visitors and steamlining internal processes to upload or re-issues to our website. ### 21. The DAM has plenty of bells and whistles, that are easy to implement and provide plenty of features for our users. The platform makes it easy to upload and find content, and easy to build dymanic filters that align to your metadata needs.The team at Bynder is easy to work with, always ready to tackle new solutions and provide great customer support. What I like best about Bynder is their team's willingness to jump in and collaborate on a resolution, or highlight new features as they come out. Some of the best features Bynder provides are SmartFilters, an easy method to do user management and security profile permissions, and easy implementation of new taxonomy options. If you need to store content, distribute content, or organize content, Bynder is a fantastic option to consider. It will be able to meet all of, or most of your needs. It's easy to implement and set up. It's also easy to organize content using the filter options. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** Our team has been growing over the past few years, and as such, we've come across growing pains in our company. While every company goes through growing pains, in some ways as we've grown, we've outpaced the features that Bynder has readily avaialble. The price point of upgrading our system to make more use of more features can be steep. Reporting and Analytics have also been reoccuring pain points, as the built in analytics feature does not always provide the insights our users need, which leads to requesting custom reports from Bynder's Professional Services team - and additional cost. Another point of frusteration for our users is the Guides feature. Guides are a fantastic feature for highlighting content - but the interface appears like an afterthought. For example, it's super easy to set up a guide - but it's also super easy to accidentally delete a page of guide, with no way of undoing the deletion, or retreiving the deleted page back. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bynder is our primary solution for all our markerting needs. We use it to securely store, organize, and distribute content across the company and our external partners. As such, when Bynder invests into new features that our marketing team can use, it improves collaboration in our company, and increases confidence with our external partners. It seems the next frontier for further exploration is how Bynder makes use of AI, and expands those options to it's user base. They have some AI capabilities already, but they appear to be mostly reserved for higher tier customer options. ### 23. Onboarding was excellent and comprehensive, as has been Customer Satisfaction Management since. Almost 2 years down the line and we have hardly had to reach out to Bynder for support at all. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** Some of the fine-tuning (such as image quality for derivatives) is not manageable by end-users, requiring Bynder to help instead. On the plus side, they are quick to advise and support. **Recommendations to others considering Bynder:** Do a proof-of-concept. Bynder support during ours was excellent. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Contentful as our CMS, which supports assets but isn't great at it. We needed a robust, best-in-class DAM for assets. Contentful and Bynder have partnered before and have well-tested integrations, so we are using both and have been happy so far. Our Content Editors love using Bynder as the way assets are organised (with tags and metafilters rather than hierarchical folders) makes it almost effortless for them to quickly find what they're looking for. ### 24. Normally when you setup something new a lot of work is on you, but with Bynder their onboarding team setup the whole system for us based on our wishes and we just got the keys and moved in. Great shoutout to Bjorn and Adam from Bynder, they really helped us get everything up and running and they were incredibly patient with all our requests and chaotic timings. You could not wish for a better onboarding team. Now the system is up and running and it's working wonderfully, it's fast, easy, it just works. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** System is incredibly powerful but mainly build for larger companies that require more restrictions. I think for smaller companies, it would be even more useful if it could be adapted to a different way of working (small teams versus big companies), mainly in terms of user permissions (maybe smaller companies do not require such "corpo" structure for every feature). The system is wonderful, this would just make it even greater. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a gaming company we deal with big amounts of assets developed by various teams. This system allows us to centralise whole company's assets, give people from various teams better insights into what has already been done and what can be reused thus saving time and money. ### 25. They are also extremely helpful when it comes to support on any matter and quick to resolve any issues. After onboarding, the platform is easy and intuitive, also making integration seamless and simple. They understand that digital asset management isnt a one size fits all solution and worked with me to set my company up for growth. The customization is a really great feature, and we also love the Brand Guidelines which is very important for us. We will be utilizing Bynder daily and eventually it will be a huge resource to everyone, not just the marketing team. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** I would say the only downside is the price, as I have been turned down by previous employers when I tried to get it approved. Luckily, my team sees the value in the platform and the sales team at Bynder worked with us to find a price that was right for our needs. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had issues with finding assets in so many different folders on OneDrive and keeping version control. This fixes those problems, and also lets us share assets easily with people who wouldn't have had time or access to the old file storage method. It also houses our brand guidelines instead of a PDF that would need to be updated regularly and sent out via email. ### 27. Not only does it free up time for multiple departments, no more going through certain team members to get specific access (everyone can now do this), but we are still able to control who sees what and what they can do with that asset. ### 31. Our onboarding team - Austin Zeliff, Erin Collins, and Nikki Pitten were amazing throughout the whole process. The 10 weeks of onboarding flew by and now we have an amazing product that makes finding our digital assets so easy. I would highly recommend Bynder to any company. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** The only downside about Bynder is transferring all of our content from Google Drive to the DAM. It sucks but has to be done manually. Hopefully in the future, there will be an easier way to transfer content. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** Bynder is allowing us to easily search through and organize our digital assets and then share them out with stakeholders. Before Bynder, we were dumping all of our photos and videos into Google Drive and only organizing with folders. It was very hard to find anything we were looking for without the data we needed. Also, everything was hidden inside folders and subfolders. Bynder utilizes filters/metadata instead of folders so nothing is hidden and anything can be found with a simple search or filter selection. It has revolutionized our way of using our assets. ### 32. You are assigned an account onboarding manager who helps walk you through the entire process, answer any questions about the program, and aids in setting up your entire system. Our onboarding manager (Stephanie) provided thought provoking suggestions to our system, and was patient and flexible with our everchanging meeting schedule. The system reviews were very thorough and she helped us set our own pace for implementation. The program itself is easy to use and acts as your own internal "google" style library search system for photos and videos. It's far easier to have all your assets in one location that's easily searchable or found through assigned filters. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** It takes a lot of time to properly tag and filter your assets. Uploading is a time consuming process, but the thoroughness of this process is what aids in future ease when searching for imagery. I am nervous with how ownership over imagery within the system works. When certain users are deactivated, certain imagery may disappear with their account as well. Although there are ways to avoid this, you are highly counting on your assigned admins to know how to handle this situation and transfer ownership between accounts. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are now able to contain all our digital assets in one place. This helps us remove out-of-date content from circulation among teams. It provides a go-to area for our marketing, product, and creative teams to draw approved imagery and video from. ### 33. This is a significant stumbling block. True of any sales pitch, a number of claims made during it didn't materialize as being actual capabilities of the product. Nothing that would be a showstopper but an issue nonetheless. While we are only taking advantage of the "vanilla" DAM without bells and whistles, I can see us expanding into various integrations and add ons in the near future. Even the base package is rich with easy to use, powerful file sharing tools. It even includes Bynder Express which is a quick and easy replacement for the "messy purse" of file transfer platforms our various employees have been using. The onboarding program was phenomenal with an extremely knowledgable onboarding specialist who was also an excellent teacher. I'm sure their process insures a higher rate of customer success among their clientele while limiting product abandonment and avoidable tech support issues. **What do you dislike about Bynder?** Load time for pages varies but seems to have been improving over time. While the home screen is of little concern to us, more customizability would be nice. **What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem we needed to solve was to have multiple listings and collections for the same assets without having to make actual digital copies of these assets. This made management a nightmare as we're serving a number of dealers, internal corporate, dealership sales teams and vendors who create ads and content for everyone.
