"Truly helpful AI help agent; image organization UX needs improvement"
What do you like best about Dotdigital?

The AI help agent is truly useful. In the support pop-up, there are the typical resources: search the knowledge base or chat with a rep. But the AI tool (bulldog mascot) is shockingly good. Most of the times these product-based LLMs are useless, offering generic advice or even entirely made-up suggestions. The DD bulldog is spot-on with its comprehension of my questions as well as the step-by-step advice for troubleshooting or setting something up. You can have a real back and forth dialogue with the tool. If you're working on something complex, remember not to answer yes to "Did this answer your question?" because it closes the chat and you have to start over. It's not just asking for feedback, it's looking to close the ticket, essentially. I look forward to the ability to train it on brand identity so it could be asked more strategic questions as well as tactical ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

The UX for image organization could be more intuitive. Contacts cannot be searched by name. There's no automatic saving in the email editor. 🫨 (What is this, 1998?) The email preview area has to be coded through HTML. There's no way to view all saved building blocks outside of the email editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Dotdigital?

It's very intuitive and easy to build emails and the new AI sending feature is great. By using dotdigital we've improved some of our email lead generating efforts by 400%.

What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

Arguably there's too many clicks to get through the reporting - although once you're there it's great. And the number of times I've loaded 'unsent' items when I'm looking for 'sent' is insane. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Firstly, the ability to have multiple accounts. This makes it much easier for us a business to manage our three brands. The support from our account manager Jay has been outstanding too, making it super easy to implement new things into our email marketing efforts.

This is a channel we use daily in our marketing team, and send several emails per week to our customer base. The ease of integrating this into our marketing flow was seamless, and is helping us grow and improve our efforts. The software itself is very much user friendly too. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

I like how user-friendly Dotdigital is, especially when dealing with technical tasks like building a customer journey, which the platform simplifies by clearly indicating what is occurring. The AI bot integrated into the system is incredibly useful for obtaining quick answers to simple questions, making operations smoother and more efficient. This feature is particularly beneficial when trying to find a feature or how to construct basic elements like a segment. Additionally, the initial setup process was very easy, thanks to the helpful staff who provided all the necessary information, facilitating a smooth transition. We appreciate how well Dotdigital meets our needs compared to our previous provider, with less spam and more creative design capabilities, and we are already seeing how it integrates seamlessly with Fresh Relevance, which we were already using. User-Friendly Email Builder; Drag-and-drop editor makes it easy to design professional-looking emails without coding along with pre-built templates help speed up campaign creation. Personalization & Segmentation; Dynamic content and personalization features and advanced segmentation to target specific audience groups based on behaviour and demographics. Love how there is real time data and analytics allowing me to report on opens, clicks, bounces and conversions, all this information really helps when we build our campaign emails to donors. I don’t have many complaints about Dotdigital, but I do find the email editor a bit frustrating at times. The editor screen and the preview or test send can look quite different, which means we often have to rely on trial and error, especially when working with spacers and margins. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

One of the best things about Dotdigital is the ease of use, everything is built for a positive and simple user experience. This is not to say that there are not numerous features that will allow you to elevate your email communications. You can make it as simple or complex as your business needs. Dotdigital ALWAYS provide a rapid response whether this is via our Customer Success Director, Amit or via the live chat on the platform. Further positive factors of Dotdigital is the ability to integrate with other platforms simply. I have not had any negative experiences with Dotdigital myself. Possibly, that Winston AI could be developed further to provide more tailored feedback dependent on industry etc. Or encourage reps to to have a more personable experience with clients throughout journey of working with them. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

A great user experience - everything makes sense, and Dotdigital are continually tweaking the UX/UI so that it becomes easier and more intuitive to use all the time. I have used other email service providers and this is the most comprehensive and user-friendly one of them all. In particular, their automation tools have allowed us to deliver a more efficient, informative service to our customers and it's now a tool that I couldn't do my job without. I use it every day! The customer support is also really great - I can easily just live chat with someone knowledgeable, and they usually assist me there and then with solutions and ideas. What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

It would be good to see some improvements to the email proofing tools. It would be good to have something that I can share with stakeholders that allows them to comment directly on a draft, like you can on a PDF, rather than them have to copy and paste text into documents or take screenshots or similar. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Dotdigital makes it easy to target and segment out our audience and send emails with their user-friendly drag-and-drop systems. It's a breeze to make templates and automate our emails all in place.

Their support team is one of the best and is quick to respond and solve issues. It's also great to be appointed a rep to meet with quarterly to go over issues, and upcoming changes, and be informed on what is happening at Dotdigital. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

There aren't many downsides to Dotdigital. Setting up automated emails, updating them, and back-end items, can be cumbersome. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

I appreciate the wide range of tools and the flexibility that allow me to design truly exciting and creative campaigns. Additionally, I really like how user-friendly and straightforward the platform is to use. I also love how much support is available to me as a user, including the AI tools, the customer service help, as well as Dot Digital academy. i will be using this very frequently so these are definitely things to consider. while i was not involved in the process, it seems that this was an easy implementation and easily integrated with the current systems that my company uses. While I wouldn't say there's anything I truly dislike, my main concern is that I might not take full advantage of the platform because it offers so many features.
