What do you like best?
User friendly, can easily search products to view hierarchy, attributes, descriptions & more, as well as easily update web classification rules.
What do you dislike?
Business rules and workflows don't allow for on the spot publishing. Once an update is approved it must go through IT before it's published on the web.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Overall the greatest benefit is having a central repository for all product-related information. At our company most internal departments have access to the PIM and use it for multiple reasons whether it's updating product attributes in mass, trouble shooting categorization, verifying products have the appropriate product images, etc. If your company struggles with synchronizing product data from multiple sources and has trouble determining whether you have the correct product data available on the web, using a PIM is exactly what your company is missing.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Mass product updates! We can easily download a file of products missing specific attributes and then upload new or existing attributes to those products in one mass update. Also, you can easily identify if a product is missing categorization by looking at where it's or isn't referenced. This is especially helpful if you have multi-domians.
