Love how easy it is to keep everything centralized. Our team can quickly find photos, videos, logos, brand documents, and other assets without digging through shared drives. The search functionality, metadata, and tagging system make locating files fast and easy. Everything is very user friendly. Also love the ability to share assets easily with both internal and external users. The Bynder Express tool will be a great alternative to Dropbox and I love that it has a branded appearance. The setup process was a breeze thanks to Sandy. The weekly meetings are so organized and thorough and she walked us through the entire process. In Asset Smart Filters, I would love to have the option of an autocomplete search in addition to being scrolling through the full list. It would be helpful for lengthy lists. Bynder has significantly improved how we organize, distribute, and manage our assets companywide. We love the download presets which will save us a lot of time in both the upload and download process. Overall, the DAM is going to be a huge timesaver for us all. Bynder has also given us the tools to create a complete and organized brand guide. The Workflow portion is going to be incredibly helpful to us by eliminating the back & forth emails for review/edits/approvals and keeping up with various versions. What I like most about Bynder is how user-friendly it is. The platform is easy to navigate, and I appreciate how customizable it is (landing pages user permissions, etc). The AI facial recognition and smart search queries are huge time-savers and make it much easier to find the right assets quickly. The ability to remove duplicates is also a huge time and space saver. I also love the third-party waiting room feature because it allows external users to access files without needing a login or training, which simplifies collaboration. What do you dislike about Bynder? My biggest frustration with Bynder is the pricing model. It feels inflexible, especially for long-term customers. Through Webdam, we were able to sync our Getty Images downloads to automatically upload to a folder on the DAM. We asked if this was possible in Bynder. Not without an additional fee. Even something as simple as adding an additional administrator comes with added costs. In our case, because we're merging with another organization, we wanted to add someone there as an admin. However, adding an admin user would require not only additional licensing fees but also restarting our internal legal, finance and contracting processes. That creates a significant administrative burden for what feels like a relatively small change. I also wish there was more flexibility for long-standing customers. We've invested in the Webdam platform for a decade, and now have moved to Bynder and value what it offers, but the lack of accommodation for evolving organizational needs is disappointing. As our merged organization evaluates digital asset management systems in the future, pricing and scalability will be important factors in that decision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Bynder solving and how is that benefiting you? We are still transitioning from Webdam, but Bynder will significantly improve the way we manage and share digital assets. Especially compared to our previous DAM, which functioned more like an online folder system. Instead of relying on users to remember where files are stored, Bynder makes assets easy to find through AI facial recognition, smart search and robust metadata. It has also streamlined collaboration across our organization and with external partners. Features like the third-party waiting room and Bynder Express allow us to securely share assets without requiring everyone to have a user account or extensive training. This saves time, reduces administrative work and helps ensure people have access to the right assets when they need them. Overall, Bynder has made our digital asset library more organized, searchable and accessible, allowing our team to spend less time hunting for files and more time creating and delivering content. The ability to tag various asset properties will allow our team to easily find assets related to our projects. Often the folder structure of platforms doesn't lend itself for other to find thing easily, and being able to have buckets for different properties is helpful. I am not a decision-maker so I can't speak to the value we receive for the price but I know it will greatly help our team's collaboration. UI/UX is relatively fast and responsive. Onboarding was very helpful and great for real-time feedback on all our questions, Francine was great! We're looking forward to implementing + using the Adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator integration, as we hope that will save time uploading + re-uploading files. Having used a folder structure platform all my life it's been a learning curve learning how Bynder organizes files, so at the moment I'm not sure about what I dislike yet. Colour search should be able to filter by transparent Our login page and hompage loads very slowly. Those images should be cached. seobaseurl requires a support ticket to create? Why isn't that set by default, or why isn't that attribute customer accessible? Disabled user accounts can be disabled need to be disabled for a minimum time? Why? An accidentally disabled account causes need for a support ticket and downtime for a user. If you suspect an organization for seat swapping to save on licenses, call them out on it, or build better policies to protect yourself from it. Don't make silly rules like this. If I wanted to seat swap I could create a new user with a plus email. Assets that have brackets are not searchable by the terms that are inside those brackets. I've onboarded many systems and products. This is the first time that I've even been asked to submit a support ticket during the onboarding process. Any issue that arises during onboarding should be fully handled by the product lead and not by the customer. As a large travel company, we work with several thousand sales agents who only need access to our image library once or twice a year to download updated marketing materials. We find it unfortunate that there is no simple way to create a dedicated public portal where these agents can access the latest approved images whenever they need them, without having to create an account, log in, or occupy a user seat in the system—unless we purchase an additional package. We also miss having a built-in mechanism that requires sales agents and other external partners to accept our terms and conditions before they are allowed to download images from the archive. The biggest benefit of Bynder is having one central, user friendly place where teams can quickly find and use the latest approved assets. Its search, tagging, and filtering capabilities make content much easier to manage, while permissions give us better control over who can upload, edit or access specific assets. It also gives us the scope to improve how we share brand guidelines and content both internally and externally, instead of relying on static documents and disconnected storage locations. The main downside is that Bynder needs clear ownership, consistent tagging, and ongoing administration to deliver its full value. The initial migration, permission configuration and metadata setup can take time, and some of the more advanced capabilities require additional setup, training, or cost. As a result, it isn’t a platform you can simply implement and then leave to run itself. That said, the onboarding support has helped us work through these requirements effectively and positively with our onboarding manager Carina Krause. Bynder is helping us replace a legacy digital asset management platform with a more modern, central place for approved brand and marketing assets. It tackles the ongoing challenges of finding the latest content, dealing with inconsistent storage and tagging, navigating unclear access controls, and relying too heavily on static brand guideline documents. The main benefits for us are faster asset discovery and reuse, clearer ownership and permissions, less duplication and more confidence that teams are working with current, approved materials. As our use of the platform evolves, it should also strengthen brand consistency and make it easier to manage and share assets and guidelines, both internally and externally. Bynder is an incredibly capable platform. The interface can be as simple or as complex as you need it to be, which has worked well for our team. With the number of product combinations we manage, it was important for us to tag everything in our images accurately and build automations that support the tagging workflow. Bynder offered those capabilities, and our onboarding agent, Skye Silver, helped build everything out expertly. With over 8,000 assets currently in the bank, the natural-language AI search has also performed extremely well, making it quick and easy to find the right assets, and integrate them into the platforms we use everyday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Bynder? Some of Bynder’s customization options feel a bit archaic and out of date. For instance, they advertise using FontAwesome icons, but they only support up to version 4 (they’re on version 7 now). Reordering SmartFilters is also clunky: instead of being able to drag and drop them like objects, you have to use a numbering system. On top of that, you have to save each individual filter every time you make a change, which makes even small adjustments feel unnecessarily tedious. It also might just be our portal (because of the sheer volume of assets) but the speed of the portal can feel a bit sluggish at times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. We’re no longer being asked to track down and resize an asset from two years ago for someone in marketing; they’re fully capable of finding it themselves and downloading exactly what they need.
