The most impressive aspect of Dynamics 365 Marketing is how effectively it bridges the gap between high-level creative strategy and granular execution. As an advertiser, I find the real-time journey orchestration to be a genuine game changer; it lets us trigger personalized experiences based on immediate customer actions, instead of relying on static, scheduled blasts.

**What do you dislike about Dynamics 365 Marketing?**

While Dynamics 365 Marketing integrates well within the Microsoft ecosystem, it has some real drawbacks for an agile advertising team. The biggest hurdle is the steep learning curve paired with a somewhat clunky user interface. Compared with some purpose-built competitor platforms, the UI can feel heavy and overly complex, often requiring too many clicks just to make simple campaign adjustments.

Another significant downside is performance. When I’m managing large audience segments or building complex, multi-tiered customer journeys, the system can occasionally lag. That’s especially frustrating when working against tight campaign launch windows, because it makes rapid experimentation and quick iterations much harder to execute.

On top of that, the native design tools for emails and landing pages don’t offer the level of creative flexibility advertisers typically want. It’s easy to hit a wall with layout customization unless you bring in technical support to write custom code. Overall, it’s not a “plug-and-play” solution: the heavy configuration and strict governance requirements slow down our time-to-market. In the end, it often feels more like a rigid enterprise data management tool than an intuitive, marketer-first creative platform.

Before using Dynamics 365 Marketing, our advertising data lived in silos. There was a major disconnect between our top-of-funnel ad campaigns and our bottom-of-funnel sales data, so we couldn’t accurately attribute closed deals to specific ad spend. As a result, we were often optimizing budgets around vanity metrics like clicks instead of true revenue impact.

Now that we’re on a unified platform, we can track the full lifecycle of a lead end to end. Because Marketing and Sales share the same data environment, we can clearly see which ad campaigns are actually generating high-quality pipeline.

This has led to much stronger ROI tracking and far smarter budget allocation. With automated lead handoffs and shared dashboards, we’ve eliminated the need for manual data exports and the constant cross-referencing of spreadsheets. That shift alone has saved our team roughly 10 to 15 hours per week on reporting, and we’ve been able to put that time back into creative strategy and campaign optimization. Ultimately, it’s resolved our biggest attribution headaches.

Dynamics 365 has a strong integration with the Microsoft ecosystem, making it an low resistance choice for organizations already using Office 365, Power BI, and Teams. However, in my experience, the complexity of setup and reliance on IT resources make it hard to use compared to other platforms. If quick adoption and user friendliness are priorities, other solutions would be better.

**What do you dislike about Dynamics 365 Marketing?**

Dynamics 365 has a steep learning curve and requires significant IT involvement for daily use and optimization. The interface is not intuitive, making adoption slower for all teams. Campaign automation is difficult to figure out and lacks the flexibility of tools like HubSpot.

Reporting needs plugins for deeper insights. The marketing features feel obsolete, requiring multiple steps for tasks that should be very straightforward.

Integrations needed outside the Microsoft ecosystem are very challenging, making it less usable for teams with a diverse tech stack.

Right now, it is unable to solve any of my problems the learning curve is so steep that after a year of access nothing is even running in the system yet

Certain areas like the proper integration of performance Analytics with sales forecasting, sales automation and workflow automation or some of the best features of this software. Apart from that a lot of these features are very well synchronized making it a 1 platform tool for all things marketing starting from grassroots-level tasks like email marketing to planning campaigns. It is definitely a tool that is easy to use once you get the hang of it.

**What do you dislike about Dynamics 365 Marketing?**

Mostly it is a tool that benefits every stakeholder related to marketing or operations in general. Frankly, I do not dislike anything about Dynamic 365 marketing but I feel the implementation part can be made much more easier. For the branding team, we decided that we need Dynamic 365 and therefore we decided to organize training on the same. A bit of restriction to change and the lack of interest from certain members were identified. Some did not understand the need for the same because they might not use it frequently.

We used to have a problem of workflow management as well as workflow automation previously. Adoption of this program helped us solve these problems seamlessly and now we find ourselves sharing laughs about how we used to work versus how we work now. The sweat droplets have clearly reduced.

In the events world, we always need to automate and be in the lookout of what's hot. What I really appreciate is the comprehensive nature of the platform. This app is not just a simple task manager; hence, it's a full-fledged system that can handle everything from event planning and registration to marketing, sales, and even post-event analysis. Having all this information in one place is a huge win. For example, being able to track attendee registrations directly within the same system where we manage our marketing campaigns is a huge time-saver. It eliminates the need for manual data entry and reduces the risk of errors.

**What do you dislike about Dynamics 365 Marketing?**

Only issue is the complexitiy. For newbies, you will surely encounter confusion as the system itself is not intuitive. I just hope they will provide more training, a responsive custmomer service or most importantly, fix the UX/UI of the app.

We're using mostly Microsoft environment in our process so its integration with other Microsoft products is surely a major plus. It's seamless integration is saving so much time and efficiency with our overall workflow.

It crashes on the time. Sometimes while working on doc:
1.  The format will change, or features like adding links will disappear. 
2. Should you want to edit within the text it will crash, so you have to right-click in order to not have to completely go back out to continue editing your doc. 
3. If you click on a link while editing it will take you to the screen of the link in preview mode and wont let you exit, so you have close out all the way

I build emails with this software. It doesn't solve much problems because it takes so long to create a simple email due to the system always crashing when making edits or building

THe amout of data that I had to figure out how to enter in the beggining was a bit overwhelming; however, after going through the site thoroughly and receiving a guided tour, I understood how to use the site more effectively.

The fast-track program has great customer service, and the product is continually being refined thanks to input from users and buyers (short release cycles). Its adaptability makes it easy to combine with those of other companies. It is effective because of its low-code / no-code methodology.

The user interface is not very straightforward. In addition to this, it is rather complicated and expensive for the majority of individuals. Inability to reuse existing marketing lists that were built in CRM for marketing in a smooth manner.

The issue with Microsoft Dynamics is that while we are working at our office, the programme may occasionally hang, and we will get a small number of mistakes when logging calls or emails.
