## Hygraph Reviews
 ### 1. Excellent developer experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc L. | Founder and lead software developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph was a breeze to setup - From the setup via the dashboard of configuring your schema and creating content it was extreme straightforward. It was easy enough to actually co-configure this with our client live. The developer experience is also excellent - we went from setup to an integrated CMS in our web application in less than 2hrs. The integrated API playground was also helpful to pre-test our queries to ensure we got the queries just right.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I can't think anything I dislike about Hygraph. Perhaps a user guide specific to creating a markdown renderer using Hygraph's best practices might have helped, but we built our own and easily reuse it on any customer site that we deploy.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The customer's that we build apps for are usually not technical or plan to have a non-technical person curating and managing content. Hygraph provided an easy to use dashboard and workflow (draf to published) that allowed them to manage content with very little training. This also eliminated the need to develop any content management interfaces.

 ### 2. Powerful Headless CMS with excellent developer experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhavesh S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

We've been using Hygraph to run our whole website - blogs, guides, lead forms, you name it. It's been a real game-changer. As a dev, I'm loving the GraphQL setup. Their API is solid, making it super easy to pull and update content.

The best part? How flexible the content modeling is. We've got some pretty complex setups for different content types, and Hygraph handles it like a champ. The webhooks are another big win. We've automated a ton of stuff - like pinging Slack when we get new leads or triggering email alerts for fresh blog posts. And updating our site with ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration)? Piece of cake with Hygraph.

It's techy enough to keep us developers happy, but our content team actually enjoys using it too. That's pretty rare to find, in my experience. Honestly, it's made managing our site so much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Honestly, there's nothing to dislike about Hygraph so far. We've been really happy with it, and it’s been an excellent fit for our needs.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph has helped us streamline content management across our entire website, which includes over 15 schemas and more than 500 dynamic pages. It’s also been instrumental in managing our ESG report frameworks, handling over 1,500 data points with ease. The journey has been incredibly smooth thanks to Hygraph’s intuitive schema creation, seamless integration of new or existing data through GraphQL, and easy data querying. It's allowed us to build and maintain complex content structures without hassle, saving time and improving our workflow significantly.

 ### 3. Very nice CMS for localization and large scale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sigurður G. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Very responsive to feedback when there's a bug or for feature requests.
They don't implement everything we've asked them to, but they listen and make improvements to their product when the feature makes sense.

Their webhook implementation is good, we use it to notify backend systems about content being updated, but we can opt out of receiving notifications when our automated systems performs the update.

The user interface is intuitive enough that normal people can use it.

The custom app integration is pretty nice. It allows us to do our own content quality checks and give instant feedback to the editor.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

When you have a lot of data, the user interface can become slow.
You'll have to manually update a default view of each model to reduce the amount of data you fetch when you're just trying to get the overview.

If you have a lot of languages (10+) then the user interface can become a bit messy, but it's a lot nicer than many solutions out there.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph takes the burden of managing our content pieces, many of them very complex, without us having to update a single field.
It enables us to move quickly in content creation, and update our content modeling without having to write many lines of code.

We also don't have to worry about handling the database for the content (our data is easily in the hundreds of gigabytes, if not a few terabytes)

 ### 4. Good for agencies and clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It’s easy for us to set up content models and hand off a working system to clients. They can manage things on their own.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

A few clients needed help understanding some GraphQL concepts, but it’s manageable.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a CMS we could build once and confidently hand off. Hygraph makes that handoff smooth and worry-free.

 ### 5. Perfect match for GraphQL projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph's native GraphQL API is incredibly intuitive. We were able to model content, set up permissions, and start querying in minutes. The learning curve is minimal, and it integrates perfectly with our existing GraphQL stack.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Role-based access control can feel a bit limited when managing larger teams with nuanced permissions. Would love to see more granular options.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a content management system that could plug directly into our GraphQL-based frontend without custom middleware. Hygraph gave us a structured, queryable API out of the box, drastically reducing development time.

 ### 6. Content Management System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kadir M. | Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I like Hygraph best for its combination of features and integration. It allows for easy content management on different platforms the approaches were designed to work with every website and every project.Technology is fully agnostic and very customizable + the ability to structure content in a way that suits the project’s needs is a huge advantage. Its versatile yet powerful with best of both worlds for developers and content managers alike.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph can be a bit challenging for users who are new to headless cms platforms or api systems. It can be expensive and require an extensive amount of knowledge, especially if you aree not familiar with graphql or content modeling. This article outlines the common reasons that the platform is powerful, including. The article's benefits include its potential as an office tool, but besides its beneficiency of ease performance and ease of use one issue is the software interface a couple more advanced tutorials or resources could help beginners get started.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph is helping manage and deliver content across devices it allows a flexible approach to content management which makes it easy to integrate with different frameworks and technologies for me it simplifys the content creation process. It provides flexibility and customization when working on projects that require scalability and customization. It makes it easier to work on work, and get information out. It saves time and complexities in managing content across multiple channels.

 ### 7. Hygraph made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mesut G. | Project Team Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It is great when I can keep my content across multiple platforms. There are plenty of features to customization and a strong base in graph ql to use in web applications. It helps streamline collaboration within the team, allowing everyone to keep each other at the same conversation. They have superb integration scalability and security. It works on both small and large projects.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph makes learning graph ql challenge especially for those new to it.it takes time to get used to setting up content models and queries. Higher tiers of plans are harder for smaller teams to afford.this especially true in a tight budget or smaller scale projects. There are some issues based on tool's overall functionality.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having content across multiple platforms is easy with hygraph.it can help us create flexible, scalable content models that can be easily integrated into any frontend which saves a lot of development time. This tech makes the content management easier for us by centralizing everything and that makes it easier for our team to collaborate.Scaling projects was advantageos and allowed us to deliver better results faster than the old way.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The most i dislike about hygrph is it depend upon third party tools for creation of front end part and for a non technical team need to work with developers for performance.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem in hygraph is that when require to fetch the data from REST-APIs , this indicates to inefficiencies and the solution is that the API allow to developers a request the exact data that they needed exactly in a single query

 ### 12. Hygraph makes content management easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ebru A. | Cloud Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

My favourite part of Hygraph is the flexibility it provides. Its also a good practice as we can have content management integrated with many different platforms easily. Its gives us total control of ours content storage. The great thing is that we can use the Graphql api to return the data we need and only the data we need plus the platform is scalable so as our needs grow we can grow with it and the interface is simple enough for a new team member to get it quickly. as a whole it makes it a far more streamlined and less time consuming method for handling content.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

When it comes to create more complex content models or relationships, Hygraph is not giving me a great time for those of you who arnt familiar with graphql, it takes some time to get an idea. also platform play kind of heavy, specifically when you working with the advanced features. The documentation could also use improvement in some aspects for the purpose of troubleshooting the issues when they arise.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph and the problem it solves Hygraph is the answer to the challenge of managing content across multiple platforms without being locked into a specific front-end approach. And with its headless cms architecture, we’re able to manage our content centrally, and distribute it anywhere. Graphql is super flexible and we can fetch exactly what we want which is a game changer for us to make our workflows way more efficient. It also scales, which is ideal for our continuing growth. That means spending less time on repetitive things.

 ### 13. Game changer for content management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Uğur Y. | System Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

What I like best about Hygraph is its flexibility and ease of integration. Its a headless cms that makes it really easy to manage content across different platforms. The Graphql api is powerful giving us the ability to fetch exactly what we need without unnecessary data. its also incredibly scalable, so as our needs grow, Hygraph can grow with us. The user interface is simple and intuitive which makes onboarding for new team members smooth.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I am not happy about how confusing Hygraph can be when setting up advanced features. Getting the hang of Graphql takes some time. Overall the interface is quite clean, but there are moments when complex content model sets and relationships feel a bit messier. I dont have a way to use that platform. I get to waste too much time figuring things out though.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph solves the problem of managing and providing content across multiple platforms. headless cms can make content more flexible because it enables flexibility in creation. There is a major benefit of the Graphql api, as it lets us pull exactly the data we need. There is a lot less effort spent than when using cmssystems. Hygraph is also well suited for expanding work as our projects grow, adapting to that.

 ### 14. Wonderful Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Ive had a wonderful experience with hygraph so far. Its pretty developer-friendly and the content management system is flexible and pretty well rounded. UI is clean and intuitive too.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

There definitely is a little learning curve for users who are not used to the CMS platform.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph is a scalable and very flexible headless content management system, which allows us to work on custom models and content in a more flexible way than a more normal, static CMS system would. The managing of the content is pretty simple and works quite well for multiple users.

 ### 15. Very Good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary M. | CRM Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

easy to use, very intuitive, seems to be very fit for purpose

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

not used it enough to notice any down side. SO far everything is very straight forward and customer friendly.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finally able to have all staff on same page and using same software which makes for a smoother operation. Live content updates.

 ### 16. Very good Alternative for our usual stack

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerrie F. | Development lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

When on the Lookout for alternatives for our usual CMS solutions, I encounterd Hygraph. After 2 projects I really enjoy working in the CMS and building my content types.
The graphQL playground and solutions are very Nice to work with in the development process.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I think for really big environments it might be a bit hard to keep it all clear (there could be a bit more distinction in the menu's you have to go through).
Although that probably also has to do with my level of experions with this CMS

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was looking for a headless CMS that had a good way of making calls and the graphQL playground helped a lot with that!

 ### 17. Powerful, User-Friendly, and Seamlessly Integrated

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** vijaykumar s. | Silo Attendant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The best thing I like about Hygraph is one thing – it is very easy to work with. The interface is intuitive as far as I and my team are concerned and because of this, uploading and managing content remains easy even for non-technical personnel of an organisation. One of the most useful is the schema builder where people can easily sort their product catalogs and technical specs which is exactly what we need for Numenda.

It also has a good integration with other tools that we use, for us ERP and CRM systems, and others. This has proved handy during preparations to set up since it provides fresh information across the various platforms. It would be wonderful to have more options as to how and where the features are presented with the global support as one of the defining attributes.

Works with the customer support team have been satisfactory because the team has always been quick to respond whenever we ask questions. It is always refreshing to see the updates and minor changes which adds to our usage being in pace with our needs.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I believe one of the issues encountered while working with Hygraph is the necessity to understand some of its features may take some time to master. Patients steep themselves into it and it might could be a bit complicated for the fresh content managers. Another deciding factor is the cost which, as mentioned earlier, is a matter of concern more so when the workspace is to be created for a small team.

As for the configuration, the first time we set up the service especially for the detailed usage, more resources were needed in comparison with expectations. We decided on customer support being generally satisfactory although you might spend more time to sort complicated problems out, we believe that a live chat support could be more effective.

Finally, since all those options are accessed through a browser interface, it is sometimes difficult to wade through the mess and look at the tools we frequently apply.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped us address several issues we have been facing including the organization of content structures in our work at Hygraph. In the particular case of a company acting in the building materials industry, one has to manage a vast amount of product data, specific technical descriptions, and compliance documents. This kind of content can now be handled and modeled using Hygraph’s flexible schema builder so that everything is in order and easily accessible.

The other major concern that Hygraph aims to solve is interoperability with the other systems that we are using, like ERP and CRM applications. This integration also ensures that our data is integrated across the different platforms hence cutting down on a lot of time that would have been spent to retyping or double check on the same info.

Also, multi-language support provided by Hygraph gets rid of the problem of updating content for different regions because the main focus is made on delivering the desired information to the global audience. It has enhanced our relations and interaction with customers in different markets.

On the whole, the introduced solution has improved our content management providing for better assignment of data, their accuracy, and adaption as well as facilitating the delivery of relevant and high-quality information to the customers which is vital for our business processes.

 ### 18. Recently started using Hygraph

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I like how versatile Hygraph is, it caters our products needs

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Like any new tech, it takes a bit to get used to

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Let's us edit content that was previously hardcoded.

 ### 19. Security First Approach

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The upside of using Hygraph is its security standards compliance it follows GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 best practices. This means I don’t have to worry about data privacy risks, as everything from API authentication to content isolation is built with security in mind

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The biggest downside i consider is that Hygraph does not offer a native media library. unlike traditional CMSs, where I can upload, browse, and manage assets in one place, Hygraph only stores references (URLs) to externally hosted media

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can safely test API modifications, schema updates, and integrations in a sandboxed environment before they impact live users. If an issue arises, i can quickly revert changes without affecting published content.

 ### 20. Easy api Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

There are features of Hygraph i really like about managing content. The api is very simple to integrate with content updates across different platforms.it offers the possibility of structuring content without getting clogged by technical complexities.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

One bad thing about Hygraph is that it can become very expensive as a project scales. While the platform provides a wide range of options there are advanced features which are tied behind high tier plans. There are more advanced options of the platform that require a little bit more training to get up and running.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph solves the problem of managing content on multiple platforms efficiently.it uses a centralized api to keep content updated and accessible. This particularly beneficial for teams working with complex websites or apps because it streamlines content and reduces manual updates. It provides more flexbilty in the content structuring as project growth get larger.

 ### 21. Flexible CMS but not easy to use for content and marketing teams

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felix R. | Business Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is headless and allows flexibility. I enjoy how it integrates with our tech stack.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It‘s quite annoying that new site types require tech involvement. The flexibility is great but also requires some technical skills which makes it harder for our marketing and content team to work with it. Also, the system does not always work as intended (e.g., enumerations are not always shown properly in the frontend even though everything looks fine in Hygraph).

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re using HyGraph as headless CMS for our content hub, next to our own-built tech platform.

 ### 22. Simple yet Compact

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The simple user interface and it depended how you design it.Ease of Implementation

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The limited bandwidth inters of scheduling

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The code less interface
I cam make live in the mater of minutes

 ### 23. Hygraph Content Solutions are Flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Payaljyoti S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

What I like best about Hygraph is that the API design allows developers to deliver seamlessly across several platforms, and it provides a user-friendly interface for developers.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

One thing I dislike about Hygraph is that if any non-technical users use this then they face a lot of struggle without the proper guidance.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major Problem in Hygraph is that the CMS Platform forfrontend developers make difficult to deliver to several platforms then the solution is that Hygraph delivers and allows seamless via API to any platform and the benefit from hygraph is thatit saves the times and effort when we simplify the single content repository for various platforms.

 ### 24. Hygraph Simplified Work for Developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It provides an allows the space to test and play with the APIs. It have good ability to copy project for testing pupose ease the work and it also save the time.Hygraph system allows to analyze the data flow. It is easy to understand what kind of data is stored in each part.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph gives preference to the graphQL APIs. Which is not suitable for all the developers. They might be preffer other APIs.If somebody wants to make some specific changes then they might have to write extra code.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company business having content spreaded accross the different system and platforms. And needed to connect with the third party services. Here Hy graph helped our company by acting as centralized hub bring tother content from varius source into one place. Now can pull data from different system without any complicated set up.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The media library could be a bit more flexible for bulk actions

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a shared space where technical and non-technical teams could manage content together

 ### 26. Awesome Headless CMS, my to-go-to tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew O. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I think Hygraph is a very flexible CMS. It allows for efficient content modeling and their API has great documentation. I'm a big fan of GraphQL specifically for pulling content from a CMS because it allows for smaller responses which can contribute to faster loading pages.

Additionally, some of the key features I love about Hygraph is that you can manage enumerations in Hygraph, and also pull those enumerations through the API. For me this reduces the amount of double checking I need to do between my codebase and whatever values I specified in the CMS.

Also, a particular feature I love about Hygraph, is that on hyperlinks within the rich text editor, there's a ton of additional link features you can add, such as setting a Link Title, link target and even class/id attributes. This is great for SEO and accessibility and reduces the need to create something custom to offer that functionality for users.

I also notice that there's a lot of content from Hygraph that makes it easy to implement Hyhraph. For example, there's a couple of great blogposts and template projects on how to use Hygraph with NextJs which made it a lot easier to get started with Hygraph and implement it.

All & all I'd say that using Hygraph is easy, flexible and a great experience.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The only thing that I had struggles with or that wasn't as obvious to me when I started Hygraph, is the way that the different API endpoints (management, content, assets) and their API keys + permissions are managed and structured. It's still greatly documented but it took me a bit longer to figure out how to use the API permissions levels in an efficient way than with the other features/areas in Hygraph.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows me to create and manage blogposts in an efficient way and give me a lot of developer freedom in shaping my content models.

 ### 27. Ideal for microservices setups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Since it’s headless and API-first it fits perfectly with our microservices architecture

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Docs are great but a few advanced use cases could use more examples

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a CMS that didn’t break our service boundaries. Hygraph integrates cleanly and stays out of the way.

 ### 28. Grat CMS, particularly for smaller fast-paced teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle M. | Lead Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The ease of use is great - GraphQL has a great developer experience, and the content side is intuitive and easy to use for marketing and product. Support from everyone we've interacted with has been excellent, and prices are good.
Very easy to set up - there haven't been any issues we've encountered. Hygraph offers more than enough features for our use case.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

GraphQL can be a learning curve if devs aren't already familiar with it, but it's worth the trade off.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph offers an easy way for marketing and product to control content that can be dynamically inserted without developer time after initial set up. Saves a lot of time for me as a software engineer.

 ### 29. Potential Workarounds for Better Offline Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph has a cool feature that lets work on our content even when the internet is slow or not available. This is really helpful for me when i am working from remote places or dealing with spotty internet. I can able to create and edit without worrying about connection.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

If i am operating in an offline environment, i won’t be able to upload images, videos, or other assets until i restore internet access. This complicates media-heavy workflows.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developers can build custom offline solutions by integrating Hygraph’s API with local storage. Mobile or progressive web apps (PWAs) can sync data once an internet connection is available which helps to restore the offline data.

 ### 30. Automatic Content Model Validation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph has its automatic content model validation which is being used during schema updates. This feature is incredibly helpful because it ensures that any changes made to the content schema are instantly checked for potential issues, preventing runtime errors.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Hygraph claims to support an offline-first approach for content management, but in reality, this is quite limited. If I lose internet connectivity, I can’t fully interact with the CMS beyond basic content viewing.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With a self-hosted CMS, we would need to handle server maintenance, security patches, and database scaling. Hygraph eliminates this overhead by providing a fully managed cloud-based solution, allowing us to focus on content and user experience rather than infrastructure.

 ### 31. Allows us to move quickly, with simplisty

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

It’s very easy to use, and extremely flexable, giving us all the functionality we need

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Nothing, we genuinely think it’s a very powerful peice of software that meets our needs

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to keep our app config in a place that’s easy for our product owners to access, quick for use to change, and comes with the typing system of graphql so we can have certainty when we consume the data of its format (we generate type files from the schema definition)

 ### 32. Simple logic for complex content

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Even with complex content types and references, Hygraph keeps things understandable. It never feels bloated.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The playground can get cluttered if you work with large queries often.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage multi-layered content for different regions and platforms. Hygraph makes that complexity manageable.

 ### 33. Let's us move faster

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

We can launch new content quickly without waiting on deployments. That’s been a huge win.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Some search functionality in the UI could be improved.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Hygraph, small content updates took way too long. Now we can ship updates in real time.

 ### 34. Smooth setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Getting started with Hygraph was surprisingly fast. The UI is clean and everything from schema creation to API access is seamless. Their documentation around GraphQL is spot-on, which made integration seamless.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The pricing tiers can feel restrictive if you're scaling quickly

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a CMS that non-developers could manage without compromising our dev workflow. Hygraph allowed our content team to work independently while we integrated everything easily via GraphQL on the dev side.

 ### 35. Fantastic headless CMS implementation with lots of features missing from many competitors

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Really like how they are API-first and have implemented a very well designed implementation of a headless CMS with support for complex relationships and components. The ease of implemenation and features around webhooks and graphql made it super straightforward for our team to replace our old google spreadsheet implementation with Hygraph. Hygraph has become an indidpensible part of our daily operations.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The have a couple different version of their UI's and while both solve many of the hard problems that come with CMS management and rich relationships, as a power user, I continue to hope for them to continue to get better. In a similar fashion, version management with related entities is a really hard problem to solve and while I think they are ahead of the competition, there is still a lot that frustrates me when trying to understand whats published now, what previously was published before and what the history of changes looks like not just on the content itself but also on the entites and relationships.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it to define our business rules that drive our application and the database of internal entities that can be used for business rules. We rely heavily on their components and entity relationships to drive our business logic.

 ### 36. Great platform as a CMS for a React Native app.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dafydd J. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

The platform is flexible, and easy to integrate with other business tools once set up, onboarding suppurt has been great, and lots of different useful features.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Some useful features are locked into the Enterprise plan.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bringing content together in a GraphQL environment, that we can integrate with other tools easily.

 ### 37. Every detail has been considered

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serdar Y. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

One thing I like about Hygraph is that nearly everything about the platform seems to have been designed around the needs of the user. With a friendly user interface and the ease of important features incorporated, there is evidently consideration to effect a streamlined and smooth process for the user. This lets me focus on the content without hassling with technical challenges.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The API Playground is a powerful tool for Hygraph, but the Explorer area could be even more user-friendly for building queries. For new users, a bit more orientation would go a long way. Some sort of step-by-step hints or in-context tips might give more intuition on the process and help newbies grasp how the structure of schemas works and how to effectively interact with the API.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I started my new blog, I needed a decent and high-quality content management system. That’s why I integrated Hygraph into my project and so far, I’m very satisfied with the results.

 ### 38. Hygraph my development partner

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santoshini S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

What I like best about Hygraph is its flexibility and the GraphQL-first approach. it gives me the freedom to structure content the way I want, without being tied to predefined templates.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

What I dislike about Hygraph is the learning curve, especially if you're new to GraphQL. It takes some time to get comfortable with writing queries and setting up everything efficiently. which might be a drawback for smaller teams or projects.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It often lacks flexibility in content delivery across multiple channels like web and mobile and Implementing a GraphQL API from scratch is complex for me don't know about others, haha..

 ### 39. Hygraph is Rock Solid

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon K. | Senior Entertainment Industry Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is intuitive and easy to use when creating content. I appreciate its ease of use for longer form article and insights reports.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I wish it was easier to copy and paste content into Hygraph without resulting in formatting changes and errors.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph provides a platform for my company's content, which helps drives sales conversations and marketing.

 ### 40. A great headless CMS for small teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanvisa B. | Head of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is an awesome headless CMS, perfect for small marketing teams that need to juggle content across different channels without having technical skills. Its flexible setup lets you update and push out content smoothly, whether it's for websites or apps, keeping the messages consistent across all platforms.

Clean and easy-to-use interface, which makes working with the dev team a breeze. The dashboard is straightforward and allows real-time collaboration, so everyone can get on the same page quickly when creating and rolling out content.

Overall, Hygraph is a great CMS that brings marketing and engineering teams together, making it a perfect fit for small, nimble teams

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Limited Out-of-the-Box Features:
Unlike traditional CMS platforms, Hygraph’s headless nature means that it doesn’t come with pre-built front-end components or templates. While this offers flexibility, it also means that users need to build their own front-end experiences or rely on developers to create them. This could be a drawback for small teams that are looking for a more plug-and-play solution.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The user-friendly interface and real-time collaboration tools help our marketing and engineering teams work together more efficiently. This makes the whole process of content creation and deployment much smoother.

 ### 41. Setup, Work, Relax

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hasan G. | Content Manager SEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is being used daily by about 20 people a day. Everything is well structured. It never fails to work. Easy setup therefor easy implementation. Ease of use thanks to a clear interface. All this makes integration a simple process. Makes work much easier. Just had one problem with login once, the support generally helps out on the same day. Hygraph is being used daily by about 20 people a day.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Like with any other software, when a new feature or change is needed, the user is not always the developer/programer and therefor has to contact the IT for changes.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph helps us create content/blogs for our shop with ease. No IT knowhow needed. It makes it easier to create blogs for everyone and therefor cheaper.

 ### 42. Content preview

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanji Z. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph has the ability to preview content across different user flows, it provides with a way to ensure the correctness of content before deployment.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It lacks the convenience of prebuilt widgets or templates that platforms like WordPress or Contentful provides.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's offline first capability helps to work uninterrupted even in the areas with unstable internet connectivity. It saves the changes locally in such cases and then sync backs the data once the network is stablized.

 ### 43. Really great CMS base with awesome Free plan

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent S. | Full-stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph has really good free plan if you want to check how it works
There is no problem with creating a content or schema and everything is well described
The customer support is great and I received much help to resolve my problem

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

The number of members of free project could be little higher than 3

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data storing in CMS is much easier than manually code it in my project

 ### 44. Best for content management and serving GraphQL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anton K. | Product Manager, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

I like simple UI of hygraph which anyone can adopt easily. From managing assets to building schemas for the content is very easy. Adding and updating assets , scheduling content publishing , making changes are like fun using hygraph. Best part is to integrate hygraph with our ecommerce platform and pwa was easy and smooth. I really recommend hygraph for reliability , easy publishing of cms pages , and serving through graphQL, easy of implementation in any system.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

I have been using hygraph for the past 2 years and have not encountered any issues or drawbacks with it.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

hygraph resolves the issue of publishing content on time in which you can schedule and maintain content. It also provides instant graphql serving of content so that you can easily use or publish for your storefront pages.

 ### 45. My search for CMS ends here!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph provides a multiple platforms inside it which is very helpful for me as a developer and also provides a better customer support also the community is increasing day by day which is very helpful for the beginners.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

While Hygraph is useful, the initial setup is very tricky for the beginners, especially for me who was not familiar with GraphQL or headless CMS architectures earlier. I had to contact my third party vendor for the initial setup.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As Hygraph provides fine user role and permission, which helps me to control editing, approvals and revert back the changes which i have done with easily and seamlessly. Hygraph also provides multilangual support which i kinda feel very useful while writing a content for blogs or documentation.

 ### 46. Very intuitive and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Super accessible and very intuitive: a great way to keep everything together in my website

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

It took some time for me to get used to the new layout and how the categories are sorted

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I could not select what to publish and in which channel. Now I have the option to do so

 ### 47. Solid experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

My biggest work with Hygraph was the asset migration and felt pretty smooth with it and also the hygraph team was always helpful and easy to reach out

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Currently I have no negative points, although , as all tools, there might be something that I will dislike the more I work with it.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hard to tell as im just a developer/consultant but I'm glad I never had perfomances issues with fetching data

 ### 48. Hygraph empowers the best development and robust APIs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sonali B. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph is user-friendly and doesn't require extensive knowledge in the technical domain. Also, I like the design of the user interface of Hygraph very much.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

In Hygraph, what I dislike the most is that when developers want to use frameworks like Node.js and Next.js, an extra layer is required for configuration, which I don't like.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In Hygraph, if I use or build any single-page application, then Hygraph can easily adapt to this feature. Also, it avoids the performance issue when I create a small project in Hygraph.

 ### 49. A Reliable and User-Friendly CMS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Hygraph?**

Hygraph stands out as a reliable and intuitive cms. It's easy to use, even for those who aren't deeply technical, making it accessible for a wide range of users. I’ve never encountered any major issues while using it. For teams managing straightforward projects, Hygraph delivers consistent performance, and its headless architecture aligns well with modern web development practices.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

Despite its strengths, Hygraph feels somewhat limited when it comes to handling complex websites. If your project requires extensive use of components and modals, you might find the available options insufficient, especially considering the price. Compared to other headless CMS platforms, the component library could be more robust, and the lack of flexibility in this area can be a drawback for larger, more intricate projects.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hygraph is providing a easy to use CMS to manage the content on our website. It's fairly intuitive (depending on how you set it up) and gives content editors enough freedom to manage content efficiently.

 ### 50. Good configuration driven CMS

**Reviewed by:** Geetesh M. | Software Development Consultant II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Very customizable and user friendly CMS.

**What do you dislike about Hygraph?**

None as of now as I have just starting using it.

**What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual code writing and writing different code everytime a new cutomer is opting our solution.
