I like that you can run different reports based on what you are looking for.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

Knowing I can pick up the phone at any time and ask questions about issues I'm dealing with.  The programs work well and have very little downtime.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

Desktop applications are dated (Heavy Jobs). Cloud server can be slow for HCSS Dispatcher, which is also a little dated.

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Heavy Jobs and Dispatcher.  Both programs work well with eachother and allow for decent reporting too.  This helps when I need to pull equipment and employee lists.  Hours too.

The customer support and 24/7 hotline with a guaranteed answer was the main reason for selecting HCSS

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The pricing structure can be confusing sometimes, can be frustrating at times with every add on for things like users and cloud services.

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HCSS has helped us streamline our bidding process and allowed us to make much better decisions on our bidding strategies and risk.  It helps us create a real 'overal' picture of the costs associated with a job.

There is so much that you can do with HCSS.  There are so many screens and places to find infomation on your bid.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The lease helpful is having to go to a bid summary and spread then having to go to bid pricing.  Can all of this not be on the same page, or at least have it so you do not have to run spread.  Can you get it spread automatically all the time?

Heavy Bid is intelligently laid out, and allows for a company wide process that allows new and old estimators to work together.  I like the separate locations for each part of the bid creation process.  Customer service is also second to none!

I think the vendor managment and solicitation portion could use some work.

It solves the problem of needing software that is compatible acress comanies, and is actively updated with user suggested features.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

HCSS is very user friendly, it has a lot of valuable tools to help you bid projects without mistakes and it's easy to update and make quick changes minutes before bids are due. HCSS is a tool all highway contracts must have to be efficient and manage project bidding.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

There is not much I dislike about HCSS it's that good of a product, the only thing I can think of is the costs can be expensive to add all the other additional software available such as Heavy Job that integrates with Heavy Bid. That can get expensive the larger your organization is.

It makes bidding very quick, efficient and easy.

HCSS does a great job wiht help and support for our users. They usually can answer the question on the intila call. If they cant they find the answer and follow up.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The pay per user fee structure is a challenge. We would like to use more of their priducts but it doenst make sense financially.

The HCSS program allows our field staff to have instant access to job budgests and costs.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

The support team is always available and willing to help. If someone does not have an immidiate answer, they always return a phone call or email with guidance.
The reporting aspect from HCSS Insights is a powerfull tool for our corporate office when presenting end of Month reports or when tracking many of the KPIs in our business.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The implementation of the different modules takes more time than expected due to a change in processing of information.

**What problems is HCSS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The support and development team have been in contact every time an issue arises in any of the modules that we use from HCSS.

Specifically geared towards heavy equipment contractors and their personnel.  No extraneous stuff that doesn't apply to what we do which makes it rather efficient.

Sometimes they get distracted by focusing on 3rd party integrations before ensuring the internal features are fully built out and maximized.

Seamless data usage across the different modules.  Previous job costing data is integrated in the bid software and vice versa.

Support is always on point and solving our issues.  Support is 24 hours a day and always answer quickly.

Didnt have the best support pulling API feeds over but was able to get it worked out, this was not all on HCSS, other venders were at fault.

Really set up issues and support team are able to walk us though it everytime.

The best thing about HCSS is their staff and the webinars. HCSS is constantly trying to help customers utilitze the sysytem in the best way possible and the chat messangers are always incredibly attentive no matter what.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

The hardest part about HCSS is navigating through it all. There is so much it can do. It literally is a full time job in itself.

HCSS is always asking for ways they can improve. As a customer who uses the program daily, it's nice to know that they are continuing to make small changes. Which then, adds up to bid ones.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

I enjoy being able to collect all employee hours from HCSS to complete payroll steps week by week. The program is easy to use and is straight forward. I do also enjoy being able to specify certain criteries you are requesting information pulled on.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

When our tablets do not communicate with sending over data to HCSS for us to pull in the office. ( a lot of times it is location of where the employees are sending it over and they might not have service.)

Hours for payroll, job information and equipment information and being logged on hours used.

I use HCSS every day, multiple times a day. 95% of it is common sense user friendly. The other 5% I might have a question on gets answered very quickily and professionaly by the HCSS help line!

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

Some of the extra steps to take to get different products to communicate.

Keeping everything easy to find in just a few apps.

The support team at the Help Desk has always come through.  Even though it always seems like a super easy solution, they never make me feel inadequate.

I only wish there was more time in the day to take advantage of the online academy.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

We really like how easy it is to get a hold of support and how knowledgeable their team is. During the implentation of HCSS Plans, we called because we were running into an error and actually were able to find a bug and help the team fix it.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

It is rather specialized and you kind of have to know what you are looking for when asking for help but not that much.

Now with HeavyBid and the implementation of resource codebooks we are able to have consistant bids across multiple estimators.

Our company uses HCSS to create competive bids. I wanted to learn the basics for creating and delivering a proposal.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

Our training instructor mentioned there is no undo button. But there are a few ways to correct an mistake.

The program is very efficient in calculating bid items and summarizing the bid.

The ability to customize for use is what's extremely beneficial. There are so moany ways to review the job data.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

I like that HCSS added the "instance feature" a few years ago.  Being able to compare projects without closing a project is very helpfuly.  

I have also had very good experience when I call support for assistance.  It is very rare that they are not able to assist.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

When bidding on larger projects, HCSS tends to run slow and we have to constantly reindex the project.  Unfortunately, that does not always speed things up.

It's not solving a problem, but it allows me to accurately bid on projects.

Sometimes I can't get the system to do what I want.  Usually there are work arounds but the system, by its nature, is somewhat inflexible.

Able to bid more projects than with a spreadsheet.

**What do you like best about HCSS?**

HCSS is a great tool for bidding, tracking costs and completion on projects.  We have been with HCSS for over 10 years and have not found a better systme.  The customer service is very good, they are quick to solve problems and are always there when we need them.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

I think the only dislike is the cost, we all would like things cheaper.  But we fill like our business has prospered from using HCSS.

Tracking costs, so we can bid competitive.

It compiles w/o with hrs and parts to equipment.

**What do you dislike about HCSS?**

On time cards it doesn't give me a total hours (reg, OT, Prem) of the whole group. Just individuals.

When I do have an issue, they are great on resolving or fixing said issues.

I like the flexibility HCSS provides, you're able to adjust on the fly. Fairly flexible with integrating other programs. Customer support is fantastic.

Heavybid is somewhat outdated, the programming seems pretty ancient.
