We also run into issues when running reports for all sales and purchasing data. Nice to Have an All-inclusive ERP **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2020 **What do you like best about Infor Distribution SX.e?** The fact that it is all-inclusive, from sales orders, to purchase orders, shipping, receiving, inventory management, general ledger/accounting/financial reporting, and more. **What do you dislike about Infor Distribution SX.e?** This could be due to cost control limitations being placed by the powers that be on my end, and not the fault of the creators, but the fact that it does not seem to have a way to be able to upload spreadsheet templates or use another method of input in order to save tons of time and effort (and payroll dollars) for things such as vendor price changes continues to be a problem. We receive these thick .csv reports from most of our manufacturers at least 2 times a year. Having to hand key all of this new pricing and cost info for each and every part is a real-time suck, and it drags the productivity of the company way down with each one we are tasked with doing. Not to mention the human errors that happen when someone has to hand key this type of info. **What problems is Infor Distribution SX.e solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have used .SX for longer than I have been with this company. (Over 12 years) We are in the beggining stages of eventually being switched over from .GUI to the web-based platform, so I am hesitant to say much either way until we actually go live and the real fun starts. ### 5. Currently we are on Windows, but hoping to move to Linux in the next installment. We look forward to seeing the improvements and changes that come with v.11, especially if we can get the web version as opposed to only the GUI version. **What do you dislike about Infor Distribution SX.e?** There are some issues and errors that appear from time to time that can only be resolved by our Infor partner. As an IT Director, I would wish for a smoother workflow with less modification required, but there are limitations that have to be expected as with any software. **Recommendations to others considering Infor Distribution SX.e:** A really robust ERP, but you will need to spend a lot of time laying out the groundwork before implementing. Work closely with your channel partner and use them as THE resource on how to make changes and move forward. **What problems is Infor Distribution SX.e solving and how is that benefiting you?** All of our departments are impacted by work with SX.enterprise, so it brings everyone together on one platform. The simple transition between ERP and TWL solution means ordering, picking, packing and shipping is streamlined and hassle free. The largest benefit is and always has been that we have one pane of glass to look into our company to determine what is going on. From simple exports, we can get good working knowledge of what is going on to stay on top of order issues and inventory problems. ### 6. It allows bulk-updating, modifications seem to be easy for IT to implement and remove, and it plays nicely with Crystal Reports for more formal reporting or data-mining needs. Some modifications can also help with this. For example, my company has created a new screen where we can see orders that are entered at an unusually low or high price, to catch errors on order entry before orders go out. Some of the security is good too. We can restrict user ability to do things on certain pages, but can't restrict their ability to see the pages themselves. **What do you dislike about Infor Distribution SX.e?** I allude to this in the best of comments, it really needs to play nicely with Crystal because there's not really a good way to datamine inside the system. You either need to use Crystal or Access to query out data, even simple things like previous pricing. You also need to know address codes for different screens, as the menus aren't great at sussing out what you want. Some of the security is good too. We can restrict user ability to do things on certain pages, but can't restrict their ability to see the pages themselves. **Recommendations to others considering Infor Distribution SX.e:** Find a good developer who also uses SX in their work, who can help with modifications so that the system can do exactly what you need. **What problems is Infor Distribution SX.e solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use SX for our entire ERP system, aside from CRM. Order taking, pricing, invoicing, accounting/books, inventory, purchasing, shipping are all handled within SX. ### 12.
