**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

I love that SambaSafety does constant MVR monitoring, so I don't have to worry about people getting a driving issue or having their license suspended. We always get notified, eliminating the need for manual checks, as it's all done automatically. I really like the dashboard, which provides a quick view of drivers who might be problematic, showing their scores and notifying us if there's any issue with their license or any recent activity. This feature allows us to follow-up easily without manual intervention. I also love the knowledge base feature with its safety topics, which helps keep our team current on safety discussions. The support team was fantastic, answering all questions and setting us up well by downloading all our data, which made the process smooth.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

It would be really helpful if managers have the ability to mark a safety class as completed if they hold a group meeting. Currently, everyone has to log in individually to SambaSafety to mark it, even when they're all together in a room.

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love that SambaSafety does constant MVR monitoring and automatically notifies us of any driving issues, so we don't have to manually check. The dashboard gives a quick view of drivers' statuses, helping us stay on top of safety.

**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

There is noting good to review in regards to this company.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

SambaSafety is, without question, the worst company we’ve dealt with for managing MVRs and safety compliance. As a trucking company with 30 years of experience, we were initially excited about their promised integration into our hiring process. That excitement quickly turned to frustration. Their email-only support is a nightmare—forget calling anyone for help, you’re stuck waiting days, sometimes a week, for a response. In our entire time with them, we’ve had only one MVR run smoothly. Their billing process is an absolute mess, and the customer service is practically nonexistent. Resolving issues is nearly impossible due to the endless, slow email back-and-forth. For a company that depends on timely and accurate MVRs, SambaSafety’s unreliability is a dealbreaker. We strongly advise against using them, no matter how well they claim to integrate with your hiring network. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.

**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

Many years ago we started using Samba to keep us in compliance with CA laws/regulations. Although there was a lot of initial paperwork for CA, Samba helped navigate us through it all. Seems like they are more robust than they were then, so all the better.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

I don't really have much to say on dislikes other than once we signed up and everything was working well, I never heard from anybody. I didn't need any help. The system is pretty straightforward, but found this interesting never to hear from anybody until I reached out.

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When we were using SambaSafety they were helping us maintain compliance in the state of California. They provided monitoring on our drivers' traffic violations to ensure they also met our company driving criteria.

**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

The integration is very convenient. Results are mostly instant.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

Their made up fees. The latest is a fee to pay? A “check and network fee” of 25.00 each. "We have the right to increase prices by  5% with the consumer price index" Consumer? Huh?

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fleet tracking is the only option offered on this review page. We use MVR reports for background checks.

**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

i like how reliable and detailed the information is; the turnaround times for buying MVR's in Samba is almost instant, and i love being able to find almost any answer that i need in Samba.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

The only thing i dislike about samba is their reports on the insights tab. I'm no sure if it's just how im using the filters but the info doesnt seem reliable compared to the "Score Dashboards" but thats only if you're looking for expired DL's. i would also say i dont like how some states are enrollment states and some arent. I think it would be easier if all states were enrollment states.

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samba helps us monitor over 13,000 employees that drive company vehicles/ drive on time. Our policy enables drivers to stay authorized in our system; by doing that, Samba points out any moving violations that would be concerning. It also gives more insight/ trends into the most violations and when they are occurring.

Today, we limit our enrollment states to those that require it in order to save our customers money on MVRs that aren't strictly required. **What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

SambaSafety is overall a good platform to help manage MVRs in one place. Receiving automated, scheduled MVRs based on activity is very helpful, and I like being able to stay 'hands off' until something comes up.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

The SambaSafety Qorta interface lacks polish in certain areas. The features are all there, but it is not always easy to navigate. I will say that the onboarding staff is helpful--although our regular account rep is not super responsive.

  ### 9. Great "One Stop" Dashboard For All Your Driver Information

**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

Our old process was 100% manual -  MVR processing once per year - a file cabinet full of sensitive documents. Now we have been able to put everything securely online and update info as needed!

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

With all systems, people enter their own data... Sometimes drivers make errors. Then we have to reach out to them to have them edit their info. Additionally, we still need to create a public spreadsheet for Professors and Public Safety to verify who is eleigible on campus to drive.

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The MVR tracking provides driving history data as needed-IF needed.  Prior, we did MVRs and then went 52 weeks without knowing anything about drivers' activity.

SambaSafety is a "one-stop shop" when we need continuous monitoring of our team members MVR records.  With many team members driving in multiple states, having SambaSafety doing this work is a lifesaver.   The entire process, from initial registration and onboarding of team members to daily monitoring, was a straightforward process.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

So far, we dislike nothing about Sambasafety or the processes involved with MVR monitoring.  We are delighted with Sambasafety.

SambaSafety is performing initial MVR discovery as well as ongoing and daily monitoring of MVR activities for multiple team members in various states.

Can just 'set it and forget it' which is helpful.  Customizations at implementation result in our team not having to spend much time watching the tool as it gathers data and reporting for us.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

Haven't heard much about any new or updated functions

MVR data and information gathering from all 50 states, informing our need for employee records.  Results in staff not needing to manually research.  Able to quickly report on any employee misconduct as relating to driver records and respond accordingly.

Hard to get ahold of anyone. Email seems to be the only effective way and even then it is not a quick response time.

Staying up to date on employees CDL driving priveledges

That it's very easy to use.  Just enter the name and license number and you get the MVR.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

All the terminated employees still appear.  Im not sure how to get rid of those.

We use this to verify that the drivers we hire have a clean driving record.

It is very helpful to have a one stop shop for all states and MVRs. The constant monitoring is another important piece. It does not always work perfectly, but it is a great resource to have

There are not many downsides, the constant monitoring does not always catch the positive updates but it does catch the negative uploads

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monitoring all drivers and keeping all MVRs in the same place has been the most helpful overall.

Support staff is very responsive to our requests. Data is accurate.

Occasional glitches. Daily Vigillo Updates don't always come through.

We use the Vigillo product. Very beneficial. Driver report cards are good safety tool.

**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

Ability to quickly run MVRs, but also have a place that serves as an "electronic filing cabinet" for our DOT HC/ CDL Drivers. It has been super helpful.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

Reports. The reports I try to run for Medical Certificate expiration dates, for some reason, do not even capture all of my drivers that have Medical Certificates.

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping an eye on our drivers and the MVRs in real time, as well as keeping all our CDL-specific and DOT-HC specific drivers (and all related documents) in one place.

**What do you like best about SambaSafety?**

The user interface is easy to navigate through. The color-coding and organizational toggles make tracking expired MVRs very easy to do. I like that you can quickly find what you need!

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

To my knowledge the "settings bar" doesn't appear for a non-admin user which can make things a little confusing, but their customer support is very quick and helpful.

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Samb helps us track our employee licenses and driving records. This is extremely helpful in the Human Resources realm. The reporting functions are nice and helpful too.

The upside is they are a helping hand keeping track of MVR reports, sending alerts when there are problems and short cutting my procedures with efficiency.

Nothing. Everything works pretty well and I have no issues.

The MVR's for our employees are tracked and catalogued on the Samba website for easy access.

They cant pull MVRs from Puerto Rico and the lag between counties that still use a paper system increase hiring wait times.

No problems at this time. It would be nice if they could pull MRS from PR and the Virgin Islands at some point, though.

I love the simplicity of adding a new employee to track.  MVR's are completed in less than 24 hours.

It doesn't let you update expired licenses.

I love that we can get alerts so quickly on changes that occur on our drivers MVR's.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

The only downside that I can think of is the reporting doesn't have some filters that would be helpful when pulling information for reporting.

**What problems is SambaSafety solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to receive notices of change of driving status and and DOT pullover information way before we would receive it from the FMCSA website.

We started using Samba Safety to monitor our MVR process.  Their onboarding was fantastic.  Traning was great.  The website is very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

Their customer service department is not great.  No real person to speak to.  If you call, you get a message to go to the website to submit a ticket.  Then you just have to wait till they get back to you.

Samba provides information we use to ensure our employees are in compliance with the law.  The alerts and ease of access make finding out the status of a driving license simple

**What do you dislike about SambaSafety?**

The downside of Samba appears to be in how our state (Ohio) reports in the information.  Specifically, the information seems to come randomly and not in an orderly manner nor at the same time each month

Samba allows us to pull reports and send them electronically which keeps me from having to maintain large stacks of paper

Qorta doesn't allow us to track why an MVR was ordered making it difficult to identify an annual MVR from other monitoring MVRs.

The issues I have presented are being looked into, but not yet solved
