What stands out to me most is how much useful information Samsara brings together in one place. I can quickly check a truck’s status, review its activity, and pull up the details I need without having to switch between different systems. Real-time tracking of company assets has been a big benefit for us. We’re also keeping our drivers safer by using the AI features on the in-cab cameras. The onboarding time for the initial rollout was amazing—every question was answered up front, and it really was as simple as plug-and-play. On a daily basis, we can see where our units are in real time. The outward-facing cameras have also provided an excellent return on investment by helping protect us. We have integrated Samsara data with power bi and our work order system. We are able to look at it in real time daily for any lost productivity. The performance has gone beyond all expectations. It is easy to navigate and has a wide variety of information at your fingertips. I can locate a vehicle, see who was in a specific area at a given time, verify trip/travel history, see fuel levels in real time, see CEL's and issues in real time, easily reassign a unit, etc. It saves time having to contact the driver and get info that is readily available.. Sometimes the driver alerts are inaccurate in reporting. Ex. Drowsy Driving. Also, some offroad driving includes rough roads that report harsh driving events that are not due to poor driving habits. The impact is frustrated drivers that feel they are getting dinged for events beyond their control, and our time having to review and dismiss. Also, sometimes a yawn is just a yawn. The driver is perfectly fine. Rough riding vehicles will bounce a driver around making it look like they are drowsy from the movements when they are not. I like the fact that Samsara is very user-friendly. Our drivers enjoy the app, and I find it very easy to use, especially for keeping a logbook. It's great for coaching on safety. I appreciate that Samsara provides security to our drivers and users with dash cams for our fleet. Samsara was very helpful during the RFQ process, being very timely in providing all the information we needed. They also provided specifics and helped us set up a demo to try the product, which was very beneficial for the company to understand how the product worked and verify it was the right purchase for our needs. We like that it is relatively easy for the average office office worker to use as well as having both GPS tracking and fleet maintenance tracked within the same website. I like using Samsara to track my trucks and know where they are. The GPS and security cameras are great because they use artificial intelligence. I love that Samsara shows me real-time data as well as reliable data using the interactive map. I can see the drivers and the buses all in real time, along with timestamps and exact routes. Finding drivers' hours of service logs requires searching the driver's name and clicking on our service logs reports, which is a bit tedious. I would prefer if you could type something in, click enter, and then it would search and show you options instead of having to let it load and then select an option.
