No, Samsara GPS by itself doesn't record audio. If the vehicle has a Samsara dash camera, it can record sound, but only if your company has turned that feature on. By default, audio recording is usually disabled, so it depends on how the system is set up.

Yes, make sure you follow any laws in regards to if it is allowed and what permission you need from drivers before turning on.

Yes audio is recorded and available for safety events that are recorded.  While you are also able to request additional footage of particular events the additional footage is video only.

No audio. Video is recorded and still images are provided on the timeline, until a video for a specific time period is requested
