What do you like best about Lytx?

I like that reviewing video is fairly simple. You don't have to request the video, as you can browse the footage yourself without any extra steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytx?

There are so many cons to Lytx, I don't know where to start.

Everything seems good when they are selling you their product/service. Once you sign the contract is where the trouble begins. It seems then you are passed around to different departments and employees with the "that's not my job" attitude. If you have a question, the employee that sold you the product/services, tells you he can't help you and send you to someone else. That person will tell you the same.

If you choose to self install, I hope you have a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering. The instructions they provide are worthless, and good luck with calling customer/technical service. They have no idea on how to install these units. I believe they are reading off a script and if your question isn't on there, GOOD LUCK! Same for just regular questions regarding stuff on Lytx's dashboard. I once emailed them with a question and they said it would be 1 to 2 weeks before they would get back with me! I would never recommend Lytx to a friend or colleague. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lytx?

I like the live and remote coaching, I like that the drivers can also add input and I like the support when I am having issues which is not that often. Lytx is user friendly for both admin that use the portal and the drivers out on the road.... the driver app is also very useful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lytx?

There are some false alerts with seatbelts, lane departures and once in a while a false handheld or distracted alert. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lytx?

The system has evolved over time and uses AI to improve performance. This is a great tool for on-road vehicles. The coaching dashboard and process for coaches to receive notifications and use the system is VERY easy to use and a critical component of the platform. The dashboards are easy to use and navigate which is another plus. Lytx has helped us reduce insurance claims and costs over a 10+ year period and we have saved millions of dollars over that period. What do you dislike about Lytx?

While we like the use of AI, we've had continual issues with it struggling to see seatbelts at night or with reflective gear on. We have a fleet of over 400 drivers and they don't always drive the same truck. Having to manually assign and reassign drivers takes a lot of admin work on a daily basis. Last issue, we wanted to deploy in some of our mining equipment, but had connectivity issues in remote locations so we ended up not moving forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Lytx?

I like the user experience of Lytx, as it is user-friendly. I also appreciate our account support rep, who is very helpful, especially when we sometimes need assistance with the software platform given that we have over 300 cameras installed across the USA. What do you dislike about Lytx?

I think their AI software detection could be improved. Their competitors are using AI more than them for multiple purposes, like an integrated AI chatbox that helps quickly with problems or questions and training cameras to better detect unsafe driving behavior. What do you like best about Lytx?

Lytx provides excellent insight on our driving behaviors. We take the good and the bad of our behaviors and provide detailed reports to our management team. The best part was the DriveCam event footage and how it automatically captured risky moments. It made coaching easier and gave us confidence when reviewing incidents. What do you like best about Lytx?

Lytx provides decent dashcam footage and event detection, which can be useful for reviewing incidents and coaching drivers.
