What I like most about Miro is how visual and intuitive it is. As a Project Manager, I use it frequently to build Kanban boards, timelines, and roadmaps, which makes it much easier to organize project information and communicate plans with the team. The platform has a high frequency of use in my day-to-day work because it’s simple to adopt thanks to its ease of implementation. I find the whiteboard aspect of Miro to be very easy to use. I create an organization chart by simply dropping in an org chart; adding names, titles, and pictures - and suddenly everyone can understand the organizational structure without having to ask additional questions - which in itself, has saved me a lot of time on back-and-forth questions. The zoom function will snap to a location you did not intend to look at and then you'll need to scroll through your entire screen to find where you were. What I appreciate most is its ease of use and ease of implementation. The interface is intuitive so even new team members can get started quickly without much training. It offers a large number of features like templates, sticky notes, mind map, kanban boards and real time collaboration tools which makes it versatile for different workflows. The ease of integration with tools like slack and project management platforms is also big plus. I use it with high frequency of use almost daily for planning and strategy session. It’s easy to create flow charts, and I like how the shapes snap into place, which helps keep everything consistent. Formatting is also straightforward—colors, font types, and other options are simple to adjust—so it’s easy to make key shapes stand out. I’d like this to be more of a “tabbed” experience, where I can quickly jump to sub-processes (workflows) on other pages that go into the details. Ideally, those would be hyperlinked. Visio has this functionality.

I use Miro mainly to plan and organize daily work with my team. I work as a Clinic Manager, Dietician & Nutritionist, and also create health education content.

There is nothing major that I dislike about Miro. Sometimes when a board gets too big, it takes a little time to find specific items, especially if many notes are added over time. Sometimes I feel there are many templates and options, so I prefer to stick to a few that fit my work best. It would be nice if there were more simple starting templates for everyday planning. After more than two years of daily use, Miro has become an indispensable tool in my workflow, from running Design Thinking workshops to prototyping and collaborative planning sessions. Despite being a regular user, a few pain points remain. The board management can become messy at scale, navigating across many projects and boards lacks the structure you'd want for larger teams. Performance can also slow down on complex boards with many frames and sticky notes. Additionally, while integrations exist, some feel shallow and could offer more depth, especially for syncing content back and forth with project management tools. For me, the symbol system has saved the most time - I make a component and then reuse it as many times as possible. I can change all instances of it at the same time, rather than having to search for each instance individually. Honestly, I would be sad to lose the component/symbol workflow (and the plugins) if I moved away from using Miro. In addition to the component/symbols workflow, the number of available plugins is huge - if there isn’t a basic function you want the tool to perform, there’s likely a third-party plugin that will allow you to do it. Miro is only available for Macs. Since our development team uses PCs, they are unable to use Miro, which creates significant issues when a client or new employee comes onto the team who uses a PC. The prototype function is very limited compared to other tools such as Figma and Xd, and it’s not where Miro excels. While Miro is a powerful platform, there are areas for improvement. Performance occasionally lags when working with very large boards containing hundreds of objects, which can impact productivity during intensive brainstorming sessions. The advanced features require deeper exploration to fully understand, and we would benefit from more comprehensive documentation and video tutorials for enterprise users. Some third-party integrations could be more seamless, and we've experienced occasional synchronization delays when switching between connected applications. Additionally, custom connector development could be more straightforward for organizations with specific workflow requirements. The combination of Infinite Canvas and Miro AI really helps when I’m designing complex systems like document management or fleet logistics, where I need to hold the “big picture” and the “fine detail” in view at the same time. Miro AI’s ability to instantly cluster sticky notes by theme saves me hours of manual synthesis after research sessions.

I also see a real workflow impact in how it helps prevent information silos. Instead of hunting through scattered PRDs, the team can rely on a single visual source of truth for the entire product logic, from discovery through to dev-ready flows.

The fact that Miro Sidekick is now involved in every part of the canvas has accelerated my process like creating user flows in no time and allows the non-tech team to better understand the process and the core of the product. That shifted my team’s productivity to the highest level possible (we won a 6-hour Cursor hackathon because of it).

Sometimes, I need to use tools like GPT or Gemini to refine my prompts and save Miro Sidekick tokens. I would love to be able to do this directly inside Miro itself, without needing to rely on external tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the new prototyping tools and wireframing features in Miro. I really appreciate that Miro constantly develops and introduces new elements like voting and picking features, which meet my expectations. It's also helpful for improving my workflow, allowing me to collaborate easily with people who may not naturally visualize ideas. I find stacking elements in Miro problematic. When I want to group things and move them backwards or forwards, it doesn't work quite well. It feels like this feature could be improved. Also, with wireframing or creating a simple line and putting elements inside, the line tries to collide or snap to everything, which is frustrating. It can definitely be improved.
