Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise the product for its accurate summaries and ease of use, which allow them to focus on meetings without the distraction of note-taking. The automatic transcription and organization of key points and action items significantly enhance productivity and streamline follow-ups. However, some users note that it primarily supports virtual meetings, which may limit its utility for in-person discussions.

"Fathom: Intuitive, Accurate AI Meeting Summaries with Seamless Calendar Automation"
What do you like best about Fathom?

I love how easily it integrates automations with Calendar functions, joining meetings set up in my Calendar even when I'm not joining. The versatility of options that you have for going back to what was said in a meeting, from watching the recording, going to the transcript, or the AI Summary (which is extraordinarily accurate). The AI integration for asking questions and keeping track of next steps is above average. Finally, navigating through the tool is very intuitive, making it impressively easy to use. For anyone in any line of service who needs to record and share meeting recordings, and perhaps use the different registers of the meeting to be analyzed with other AI tools, Fathom is the tool to go to, which is why, after trying and researching different tools, we went for Fathom, and it is part of our everyday use.

Customer Support is top-notch — friendly, quick responders, and savvy! Fathom is money well spent! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

At the moment, I haven't found a thing I dislike. Perhaps, having to log out to switch accounts cause sometimes I forget to do so. If there's a way to toggle between accounts without logging out, that'd be great! Also being able to upload videos for transcription that be an amazing plus! "Excellent Meeting Summaries that Boost Efficiency and Keep Action Items on Track"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Over the last year, we’ve been adding Fathom to our company meetings, and it has really improved our efficiency. The summaries are excellent. They help us remember the action items we discussed and keep track of what came up across different meetings as time goes on. It’s like having a personal note-taker and organizer on staff, making it much easier to stay aligned and follow through. Plus, it's extremely easy to use and integrate into our workflows. We use it daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

I wish I knew how to turn this off. When we’re on Zoom, we often want to talk freely at the end of meetings without big brother recording us, but we have to send it to the waiting room just to stop it. There’s no other obvious way to stop it from recording. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fathom Makes Post-Meeting Follow-Ups Almost Effortless"
What do you like best about Fathom?

What I like most about Fathom is how easy it makes meetings after they end.

I tried many tools before but this one just feels right.

The way it summarizes and groups things like purpose, key takeaways, next steps and action items saves me a lot of time.

As an IT Manager, I really like that my team don’t need to write follow up notes anymore.

Even the free version gives more value than I expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Honestly there is not much I dislike.

Sometimes for very technical meetings, the summary could be a bit more detailed.

Also having more control on how the summary is formatted would be nice.

But these are small things and doesn’t really affect the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fathom Never Misses a Detail—My Reliable Meeting Back-Up"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Fathom is phenomenal at getting the specific details I need from a meeting, so I don't have to worry about missing anything important. I know it has my back, every time I'm in a meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

I do wish I could...potentially have it attend in place of me. Or stay on for a meeting that I myself can't stay on for the full meeting of. For example. I was originally only planning to pop by for about 90 minutes of a 4 hour meeting. But when someone saw my fathom notetaker they said "great, yours can just stay on the whole time!" And I realized I couldn't dip at the 90 minute mark because so would my notetaker. Would be amazing if it could attend in place of me if I can only be there part of the time. "Total Peace of Mind in Meetings—Fathom Captures Every Crucial Detail"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Honestly, the best thing about Fathom is the absolute peace of mind it gives me during meetings.

I used to be that person frantically typing away, trying to catch every little detail, such as dates, deadlines, and specific client feedback, and I was always stressed that if I stopped typing to actually listen, I’d forget something crucial.

With Fathom, I can just let go. I love that it captures everything. It’s not just a generic summary; it actually grabs the specific nuances. If a client mentions a tiny but critical constraint for a project, or if my boss drops a quick side note about a deadline change, Fathom catches it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

If I had to pick what I dislike, it is the awkward waiting game at the start of a call. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Meeting Summaries and Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about Fathom?

Fathom is so easy to use. The AI summaries are amazing and always on point. I love that you can get the full transcript, see the questions that were asked during a meeting, click on any part of the summary or questions to be brought to that part of the video if you want to review and even ask questions about the meeting so you don't have to search for answers (like what was the deadline we talked about for the next report and it will pull the answer for you). I also absolutely love their customer service. I had to change my login email and was worried I would lose all my recorded meetings but the customer service team was super helpful and got my account switched over quickly and painlessly. I also love the security - nothing recorded to my account is used outside of my account, even for training purposes. That gives me and those I meet with peace of mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Nothing. I really appreciate it. There is nothing I dislike about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Meeting Access and Seamless Usability"
What do you like best about Fathom?

I came across this tool on a call I had with someone, and explored it as I had been trying out a bunch of other tools. Several of them good but fairly complex to use... This impressed me to try it out, and now it's a standard on all my calls.

It's very easy to use, friction free. I don't have to do much to get it to join meetings, either those on the calendar or those I join impromptu. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

All the advanced features like AI generated action items, advanced summaries, etc are unavailable to non-premium users. I wish I could get a limited number of those every month so I could use them only in some very important meetings for which I then revert to my gemini created transcript. "Unmatched Note-Taking Accuracy, Especially for Indian Accents"
What do you like best about Fathom?

I have used several other note-taking tools, but in my opinion, none of them come close to Fathom. What makes it even better is that it’s free, which I find incredible. The accuracy of the output it produces impressed me so much that I upgraded to the premium version without any hesitation. One of the standout features for me is that it works well with Indian accents, even when they are quite strong, something that other note-taking tools often struggle with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Absolutely nothing to dislike. It is a really good tool! Just a suggestion is the way it takes notes from the conference room meetings could be refined (I hope the team already knows what i mean by that) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless meeting summaries that save time and keep me organized."
What do you like best about Fathom?

What I like most about Fathom is how seamlessly it handles meetings without any extra effort from me. It automatically records, saves everything to the cloud, and provides a full transcript. If I forget a detail or need to revisit a discussion, I can quickly go back and review it. The summaries and to-do lists are especially helpful, and I really like how it identifies different speakers and organizes the notes accordingly. Overall, it makes meetings much easier to manage and follow up on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

Honestly, there isn’t much I dislike about Fathom. If I had to suggest one improvement, it would be expanding its functionality for in-person meetings. It would be great if Fathom could also work as a standalone recorder for in-person or hybrid meetings and generate transcripts, summaries, and action items. I understand this is technically challenging, especially when multiple people are speaking, but having that capability in the future would make the tool even more powerful. "Effortless Meeting Transcripts and Actionable Summaries"
What do you like best about Fathom?

What I like best about Fathom is how seamless it is to use during meetings. It captures accurate transcripts and summaries without being intrusive, which lets me stay fully engaged in the conversation instead of worrying about taking notes. The action items and highlights are especially helpful and save a lot of time after meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

There isn’t much I dislike, but occasionally the summaries could benefit from a bit more refinement, especially in meetings with a lot of back-and-forth discussion. Very minor context can sometimes be missed, but overall it does a great job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
