What do you like best about Fathom?

We switched from Otter.ai to Fathom and immediately saw the difference. The call summaries are smarter, the action items are more accurate, and the ability to tag key moments in real time is incredibly useful. We use Google Meet, so having full video recordings (not just screenshots) is a huge upgrade.

What really sets Fathom apart is how well it understands the conversation—not just transcribes it. The ability to chat with a meeting transcript to find exact quotes or context later is a game-changer. We now use it for every meeting. No time limits, no stress.

What do you dislike about Fathom?

We knew going in that we’d be giving up two features we had with our previous tool: the ability to upload pre-recorded audio and a mobile app for capturing in-person meetings. While those features aren’t available in Fathom yet, we’ve heard they’re on the roadmap. Honestly, the value we got during the free trial—especially in terms of smarter summaries and actionable follow-ups—far outweighed the temporary loss of those features. Fathom solves the problem of inefficient note-taking, unclear follow-ups, and forgotten action items after meetings. It automatically captures and summarizes our calls with impressive accuracy, which saves us time and improves accountability. We no longer have to assign someone to take notes—Fathom gives us instant highlights, next steps, and even lets us revisit exact quotes by chatting with the transcript. What do you like best about Fathom?

I like the functionality provided with this tool and the ability to integrate the output with other applications.

Removing the operational overhead on the team to write meeting notes and not pay full attention to the content of the meeting. There is now increased engagement with the sessions for more productive discussions and action/next step setting.
