"Chrome OS: The most secure and low-maintenance option for cloud-first organizations."
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

The security and administrative simplicity are the biggest upsides. The OS is inherently secure, and centralized management through the Google Admin console is incredibly easy for large fleets of devices. Its lightning-fast boot time and low maintenance are also excellent for efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

The main limitation is the reliance on an internet connection for full functionality, and the lack of support for legacy or high-performance desktop applications (like advanced photo editing or engineering software). The storage capacity is often low, forcing heavy reliance on cloud storage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Fast, and Getting Better"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I like how Chrome OS keeps getting faster and simpler. The improved performance, better Android and Linux app support, and smoother updates make it easy to use without getting in the way. It feels more polished now, especially for multitasking and everyday work, while still staying lightweight and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

Chrome OS could improve by offering stronger offline capabilities and more advanced features for power users. Better file management, smoother performance with heavier apps, and more consistent app quality across Android and Linux would make it even better. A bit more customization and flexibility would also help it feel less limited while keeping its simplicity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Blazing Fast, Secure, and Effortless Chrome OS Experience"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

Chrome OS is incredibly fast, lightweight, and user-friendly. I especially like how smoothly I can log into Genesys Cloud without any performance issues or delays. The seamless updates, strong security features, and integration with Google Workspace make it ideal for both personal and professional use, allowing me to work efficiently without worrying about slowdowns or malware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

While Chrome OS is great for cloud-based tasks, it can be limited when it comes to certain offline applications or specialized software that is only available on Windows or macOS. Some file management features are also less flexible than traditional operating systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive and Secure, Perfect for Teams"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I find Chrome OS really easy and comfortable as it serves as an essential web browser for me and my team. Its installation is simple, requiring no download manager or special extensions. I think its security is wonderful, offering multiple options to keep data safe. The integration with Gemini is very useful, making it easy to access information. The initial setup is very easy, just a search and one click to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

It needs to get some new ideas, like creating pictures directly, and adding options to write articles or conduct science research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for Beginners, Lacks Depth for Experts"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I like how easy it is to teach basic repair and restart procedures with Chrome OS. The AI interface allows our employees to self-train, which means there's no need for the company to provide on-the-job training. I also appreciate that Chrome OS required minimal setup since it practically started itself, just asking for a name. It’s a great operating system for beginners and storing our entire HR is quite straightforward with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

It's basically the Ford of tech for everyone, not the tech gurus and prodigies of this tech age. It's for the beginners and teachers; for the real IT world, it's kids play. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable, lightweight OS for productivity and secure work"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I have been using Chrome OS for over years now, mainly for work related tasks such as email support, documentation, and remote meetings. What stands out to me is how stable and lightweight it is. It boots up in seconds, updates quietly in the background, and doesn’t slow down even after long hours of use. The security setup is solid, I don’t have to worry about antivirus or system patching, which saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

Some professional desktop applications, especially those designed for Windows, aren’t supported. Web versions and Android apps cover most needs, but sometimes I have to switch to another system for specialized software or offline use. Also, file management can feel limited compared to a traditional OS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly OS with Excellent Battery Life"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I like that Chrome OS is very user-friendly and feels like an Android device on a laptop. All the Android apps are available, making it useful for people who use Google's workspace. The lightweight nature of Chrome OS gives it very good battery life, allowing me to use devices longer. I also appreciate that Chrome OS can be installed on older devices, giving them new life. The initial setup is very easy, requiring only an internet connection and a Google account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

The support for different apps isn't great. Since Chrome OS is on a device like a laptop, many Linux and Windows based software don't work on it. Only the Android version of these apps works, not the full PC version. Also, Chrome OS has low to mid-range performance and isn't suitable for tasks needing high computing power, like video and photo editing, unless it's cloud-based. "Great for Browser-Based Work, But Limited Offline"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

I use Chrome OS mainly for browsing music and videos. I find the features to be good and safe. Setting up Chrome OS is a big win for teams, as new devices can be ready the same day, and replacements are easy if a device is lost or damaged. Once connected to a stable internet, the experience is smooth and largely hassle-free. I definitely recommend Chrome OS for students, remote workers, educators, and teams that mostly live in the browser, as it’s fast, secure, easy to set up, and low-maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

Many core Chrome OS apps and workflows still rely heavily on an internet connection. When offline, productivity drops sharply compared to Windows or macOS, especially for file management, creative tools, and advanced document editing. The transition wasn’t seamless for everyone, especially team members who relied on specialized desktop software, advanced offline work, or heavier multitasking. They felt some friction and had to supplement Chrome OS with Linux tools or cloud alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Chrome is quick, compatible, and doesn't take up space"
What do you like best about Chrome OS?

Chrome is fast and a small OS, which means there isn't as much to go wrong vs Windows and so far, nothing has really gone wrong. The system is also more open than Apple's operating systems--I can always find what I've downloaded easily. It's a GUI for Linux, and after over eight years on this Chromebook, it still boots up and loads whatever I need in about five seconds.

I use it for just about everything as far as browsing and downloading. It was easy to implement buttons for whatever I needed, and access free programming tutorials. New features have integrated smoothly, and it's one of the cleanest, easiest operating systems to use.

As far as customer support, I haven't had to contact them, which means this OS is robust. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Chrome OS?

My only complaint is that my Chromebook is no longer supported. I understand that devices get older and may not be able to handle the latest OS as quickly, but I don't think my Chromebook has reached that point, and I'd rather wait a few more seconds than buy a new one. There's an opportunity here for a sustainability campaign, but it's difficult to complain if a Chromebook (or any laptop) is still going strong after eight years.
