What do you like best about Remote?

What I like best about Remote is the clarity and consistency in payments, as well as how they handle incidents and define rights and obligations just like any other employer. It gives me confidence and transparency in my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Remote?

One aspect I find frustrating about Remote is the lack of clarity in the process for requesting paid time off. Additionally, instead of granting the full 12 vacation days mandated by Mexican law upfront, the days are released gradually. This approach makes it more difficult to plan my time off effectively. What do you like best about Remote?

I like that Remote's app is very convenient and easy to use. It helps me by keeping everything in one place and managing my off days between me and my employer. Additionally, the calendar feature keeps me informed about upcoming events and holidays, which is a big advantage. What do you dislike about Remote?

I disliked the onboarding process; it was awful. Consultants used AI for legal matters, which made their responses untrue. Using AI took more time than needed, and the consultants who were supposed to help didn't help at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Remote?

Everything about this platform is highly practical, and the customer support is outstanding. They stay up to date with the latest policies in every country where they operate. During my residence permit renewal process here in Portugal, I had no issues to report to the platform, which I know would have been a hassle with other tools. What do you like best about Remote?

I absolutely love how Remote has made hiring and managing team members abroad so much easier for my business. The platform is invaluable for dealing with talents based outside our country of origin, particularly with its straightforward user interface and the ease of onboarding with the help of an account manager. I am impressed by how Remote handles employment contracts, allowing me to simply fill in necessary details like salary and job titles, which streamlines the process significantly. The core functionality of acting as the employer of record is incredibly beneficial, simplifying management of payroll, bonuses, tax registration, and compliance with local legislation and national insurance contributions. Its ability to save significant HR costs by staying on top of local legal needs and payroll setups is a tremendous advantage for my small business. Additionally, the initial offer with no management fees for the first year was a great incentive and appealed to me massively as a small business owner. Remote has effectively become our payroll and HR partner, and I appreciate how it simplifies managing the complexities of running HR and payroll across multiple countries without the need to establish legal entities in each one. What do you like best about Remote?

Their support team is outstanding. Every Customer Success Manager assigned to our account has been a pleasure to work with. They are always helpful, knowledgeable, and quick to respond, making sure we have the best possible experience. The relationships we've built with the team at remote.com are a major reason we continue to work with them and keep adding employees in countries where we otherwise couldn't provide support. Additionally they continue to ensure we are utilizing the system to the best use and inform us of additional product offerings. What do you dislike about Remote?

My primary concern is that their platform currently does not integrate with our global HRIS, ADP WorkforceNow, nor does it offer an interface for this purpose. As a result, we are forced to make duplicate entries, which increases the risk of data integrity issues. Looking ahead, we might consider their platform for global payroll and HRIS needs, but making such a transition would be a significant undertaking and would require the platform to meet all of our requirements. I wish Remote had more direct integration with digital payment platforms like GCash in the Philippines or similar services such as Venmo in the US. What do you like best about Remote?

The process of signing the work contract was smooth and clear. They are well informed about, and compliant with, applicable local legal frameworks, which makes everything much easier for the client (my actual employer). The employee software is relatively easy to use, with clear sections for the features you need regularly as an employee (for example, paid time off, payslips, and time tracking). Their AI chatbot is quite good at providing answers and resources tailored to your situation. They also offer plenty of articles explaining different topics (for example, taxation), and their human-led support services respond quickly to enquiries. There are some useful automation options as well, such as setting up a prefill for timesheets, creating alerts to review them weekly, and enabling automatic submission. What do you dislike about Remote?

The setup of benefits has been rather confusing (for example, health insurance, retirement benefits, and meal vouchers). It was challenging to get detailed information about the offered packages, and the use of multiple benefits platforms (Cobee, ThanksBen, and the insurers themselves) creates some inefficiencies, as you need to create accounts and install different apps before having clear information to decide whether you want to subscribe to the benefits. The fact that opt-in can only be done at the start of the contract or during a specific annual window can also create challenges, particularly for health insurance. This is especially the case if you already have an ongoing insurance contract with a specific termination date and want to transfer to Remote’s health insurance option without paying double insurance or being uninsured for a period. They did provide a solution to this, but we have not gone through the process yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
