## Plunet Reviews
  ### 1. Highly Customizable and Efficient, But Templates Need Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juli A. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

I find Plunet incredibly powerful for managing clients, vendors, and workloads seamlessly, making operations run smoothly without any hiccups. This efficiency allows us to stay on top of our tasks without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, Plunet's customization options are one of its standout features. It's highly adaptable to our precise workflow needs, which means we can adjust to ever-changing client demands and adapt our internal administrative strategies, keeping our work environment agile and responsive to any new challenges. Furthermore, the initial setup of Plunet was a breeze, described as 'easy peasy,' which eliminates any onboarding headaches and helps us get up and running swiftly without any issues.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

I find that the templates in Plunet aren't user-friendly, which makes them difficult to figure out. The customizable templates for client quoting and documents lack the robustness I expect. Instead of a simple folder of countless templates, they should be better organized so that it's clear where each template belongs just by glancing at the list.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Plunet to manage clients, vendors, and workload seamlessly, making it customizable to our workflow needs and helping us stay flexible with client workflows and internal strategies.

  ### 2. Great language project management platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

The dashboard is very well organised and very simple to use. All my personal and professional data is centralized so that the payment process is as smooth as it can be even if my clients are across the globe. Plunet helps me create an invoice for every job and every client I work with OR I also can upload my own invoice. I can easily look for every translation job by job number/job date/invoice status.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

I think Plunet could be a little faster in general. My invoices sometimes load a bit slowly. In any case, I really enjoy using this platform and I don't think it has many faults.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plunet is a very good management tool, allowing you to centralise everything on a single screen.

  ### 3. Great tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina G. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet has taken my small business to a whole new level. The security features ensure that my clients confidently send sensitive documents to me without worries. Plunet is customizable, so I picked the right size for my company. Our clients find the interface easy to use, and I have been able to customize the appearance based on my client's needs. Their customer service is excellent, and their team is a joy to work with. I feel that I am a part of their family, and that they have allowed me to grow as a company. I am truly satisfied with Plunet!

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

I think their appearance could be made a little more attractive to the end user, but it does the job anyway.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Sending and receiving documents securely.
2. No need to get an external transfer system to send large or heavy documents (e.g. sharefile, etc.)
3. Professional look to your company
4. Ease of handling multiple and large projects

  ### 4. Highly efficient and customizable Translation Management Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David D. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet covers the whole process of a translation project from quoting to invoicing. It focuses on customisation of your workflows, and although the amount of options can be daunting it is its biggest strength. We have been using it for more than 10 years and have integrated all our processes within its different modules. The fact that Plunet does not have a CAT tool integrated and relies on integrations with the major CAT tools on the market is also very positive as it allows us to choose different tools for different projects. Every year we keep evaluating the different alternatives to Plunet that are available on the market and we are confident that it is the best tool to date.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

At times we had issues trying to adapt to the constant changes that Plunet introduces from version to version. However we have to admit that those changes have been overall positive. In the past they have improved significantly with sharing their road map with all customers and accepting input and feedback before implementing new features, something that is very important for us.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offers an all in one solution for each step of the translation project.

  ### 5. Useful tool for translation management

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria S. | Localisation Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

It's easy to assign tasks to linguists and to set clear instructions and deadlines. It's also quite easy and helpful to work on quotes for clients. The integration with some CAT tools for automated project creation is very helpful to reduce time efforts.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

Sometimes it's quite slow and some actions are limited. It would be great to do some more actions in bulk, like project assignments.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with quotations and clients can submit requests by specifying the languages they need, deadline and they can even leave a brief.

  ### 6. Plunet is good for small translations agencies, but you can feel its getting old

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet is a relatively cheap solution that helped us to get a foot into the business and manage hundreds of clients and thousands of freelancers. It covers the main functions, such as workflow management, customer login, freelancer login, file management and some more.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

Plunet is "clunky", not dynamic and has a tendency to many bugs or not "so thought through" features and functionalities. I.e. price lists become unmanageable the more you scale.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plunet helps us manage translations, move files between client and vendor and gives a basic communication platform

  ### 7. Improved operational efficiency in managing translation projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tjaša K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet BusinessManager has notably improved our operational efficiency in managing translation projects. Its powerful automation capabilities have been a major asset, significantly reducing manual effort and minimizing errors. This has been particularly beneficial in ensuring the delivery of high-quality translations consistently.
The platform's customizable workflow system is a key feature for us. It allows us to tailor our processes to meet the varied and specific needs of our clients, an essential aspect for our role as a large language service provider.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

As a regular user of Plunet BusinessManager, one downside I've encountered is the system's complexity, particularly when it comes to customization and setup. While the ability to tailor workflows is a significant advantage, configuring these to fit our specific project requirements can be quite intricate and sometimes requires a deeper technical understanding than expected.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plunet helps streamline and automate various aspects of translation and language service management, from project handling and client management to financial tracking and quality control. This not only enhances efficiency but also helps in delivering high-quality translation services.

  ### 8. Great tool to document and customize the whole translation process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet allows us to organize and document almost every aspect of the translation processes. Since we are ISO certified, the tool is a great help for our regular audits: everything is documented on a project-specific and job-specific basis without the project managers having to think about it. Many different types of projects with individual workflows and process steps or specifications can be easily organized and monitored. Job types, processes, text fields, user rights, etc. can be set up flexibly. Working with properties also allows for a targeted and automatic selection of suitable data records in projects and suitable partners in jobs. The web-based application is not only convenient for our company internally, but also for our customers and partners in the form of designated portals (secure file exchange, overviews, reporting). Since we started using Plunet and customized it to our needs, we have been able to reduce our project managers’ workloads, automate sub-processes, and eliminate time sinks. The constant development of the software enables continuous improvement of processes, as, for many use cases and CAT interfaces, it offers additional modules that can be purchased.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

The design of price lists is very flexible and can be customized for even the smallest use case. However, this makes managing many different price lists very time-consuming, especially if one uses several CAT tools. Price lists really should be well thought out in the implementation phase, but unfortunately, in that phase, one often still lacks the necessary knowledge. We have redesigned our price lists several times, and I'm afraid this is unavoidable, especially when the CAT tools or reports change.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had some challenges in designing complex workflows conforming to our customers’ individual requirements. During this process, the Plunet implementation team and the great support team have helped and guided us successfully.

  ### 9. Plunet, a game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ma. Carolina L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

It's modular nature is its most atractive characteristic according my point of view. When we started using it in 2016, we just needed the core system, but some years later we also adopted the Vendor Module so the resources desiring to work with us could apply with ease and we can save some processing time for the Vendor Department members; and the QA Module to have the chance to get an objective score on project basis for each resource involved in the process. Last year we went one step further and implemented some automations to reduce the operations stress and till now everything is working beautifuly.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

We had experience a limit in the system when trying to export data, so we are currently working around to get the information we need. Since 2016, this is the first time Plunet itself it's not enough for us.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Plunet is the structure which supports all our operations. It allows us to keep records of an entire project lifecycle including mails, files and payments.

  ### 10. Plunet - The project management system that covers all aspects of our daily work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet covers the management of our projects from A to Z. It allows us to manage our customers and translators in an efficient way and provides all kinds of means to evaluate the data of our projects. Plunet's features allow us to unify our workflow amongst all of our branches while still catering to individual client needs. The Dashboard in invaluable in our day-to-day business, improving the overview of our project managers. On top of this Plunet offers multiple ways for automation, which improves our work in many ways.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

The learning curve for new users to fully grasp the system's functions is a bit steep. Expert users guiding new users is mandatory. Requests for customizations or changes are only implemented if multiple clients request these, which limits the flexibility to integrate the system in all departments of our company.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Plunet allowed us to integrate all of our branches into one system, which leads to more efficiency for our day-to-day business. The many status reports allow us to keep track of everything that comes in. Plunet's automation options will bring us improved ways of working.

  ### 11. Plunet is the way to go for data-driven decision-making!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalia G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet's reporting capabilities have made a huge impact on the way we run our business. Having access to visualize the numbers and workflows of the company is essential to detecting our strengths and weaknesses easily, and all the automation/integration features and continuous updates from Plunet allow us to put all that data to good use by creating customized processes that address our specific needs. Go Plunet!

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

Since the fundamental base of Project Management is multi-tasking, we would really love Plunet to enable multiple tabs open at the same time :)

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Plunet for almost everything: from Client/Vendor Management, to Quoting, assigning Projects via the integration with our CAT tool, deliveries via the customer portal, invoicing, and the most powerful tool: reporting. Lots of processes centralized under the same platform save time and money for the company!

  ### 12. Useful, simple and capable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabina R. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2023

That it saves time. Me and my colleagues can handle much more requests and projects due to the complete PM workflow.
It helps keep all the information organized and easy to reach.
The ''Status Report'' option helps with the monthly, anually and ad-hoc reports.
Syncronization with the CAT tool is a wonderful plus.
Overrall a wonderful tool for PMing in the translation industry.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

The lack of customization is a downside. There is only so much you can change within the system and I would appreciate a way to customize even more aspects of a project created with the CAT Tool syncronization.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps organize the information in one place.
It helps with reports.
It helps with automated tasks.

  ### 13. Plunet experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernanda L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Plunet completely changed the way we saw our business. We can access various reports such as sales, profitability, and supplier evaluation and manage our findings. As an ISO 17100-certified company, it is great to have a tool that can be tailored to our needs.
The integration with the CAT tool we used was quite simple.
Customer service is very good. Whenever we had problems, they solved them right away.
We use Plunet every day of our lives, now we can't imagine working without it.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

It was difficult to implement because it is difficult to match your old system with a new system. In addition, it has some issues that could be automated, such as the "save" button, which you have to press all the time; it is also difficult to search for a list of customers or suppliers and you have to go one by one.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've already informed about this.

  ### 14. Plunet enables more of SuccessGlo's business resources to invest in servicing clients’ needs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

The workflow automation and its powerful analytical modules.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

Plunet being a full-fledged BusinessManagement system has yet for us to explore all its functionality, hence will hope to have more learning from their coaches.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data Analysis on each project ROI, resources KPI, part of our client account projects' workflow and others. Before using Plunet, with Excel and manual tracking/scheduling, it takes our PMs and our finance a lot of time to analyze who are the clients that have helped in contributing to the profitability of the company and where are we in terms of financial performance. Now, we have the information right at our finger tips and it helps our board members/co-founders to make informed decisions for future development of our group of companies.

**Reviewed by:** Andre C. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

The best thing about Plunet is manageability and how everything is very intuitive when you know the workflow of a translation project.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

Some information is very much linked to others, which generates a great Plunet management capacity. A person with little knowledge would not have this management ability.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is possible to solve 100% of your projects by managing them with Plunet. People, resources, projects, finances, everything is manageable with Plunet.

  ### 26. Useful tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

The flexibility of the tool and how it can adapt to different situations

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

The quality of the customer service is inconsistent: some times you get a reply right away and in other occasions you're waiting for months. Also, I think they should offer training on the basics and not only on modules that they sell separately.

**Recommendations to others considering Plunet:**

Try to attend as many webinars as possible because I don't consider the Help documentation sufficient.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's fantastic to keep track of our projects and costs.

  ### 27. New Plunet user, not impressed

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grace M. | Documentation Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

Being able to see all of the invoices and work being done on our account in one place is valuable.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

I find the Plunet layout very confusing. After my first few weeks of using it (as a client), I am still not sure how to find and approve invoices. The button names are non-intuitive, and I have twice accidentally made new requests rather than approving the quotes I already have. It may just be a learning curve issue, but so far I find Plunet more difficult to use than it should be.

**Recommendations to others considering Plunet:**

I would recommend looking at other options as well as Plunet to meet your individual business needs, because Plunet is not an easy interface for clients to navigate if they are in it only sporadically.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A vendor with whom I work uses it to manage their quotes, work progress, and invoices. It allows them to communicate with us easily as to where we are in the process, without a string of emails.

  ### 28. Good platform for translators

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2016

**What do you like best about Plunet?**

The workflow is very straightforward. The translator receives the work order, then clicks on the link to download the files and accept/reject the job. Then the job is uploaded to Plunet, and the project manager can modify the work order for the translator to invoice directly through the system.

**What do you dislike about Plunet?**

Everything is pretty good, except sometimes it seems that the project managers overlook the translator comments at Final Delivery.

**Recommendations to others considering Plunet:**

The aspect of email interaction can be lost in this highly efficient system, so it is important to keep project managers and translators in the loop with timely emails.

**What problems is Plunet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This keeps all the translation and project management business in one location, without having separate FTP for files and separate email for invoicing.
