Lets us smoothly hire in a lot of countries. Pretty great, responsive customer service; they once got a US person onboarded for me literally in a single day to meet a deadline the person needed for access to health benefits for a medical need – which was all because the customer service team were very responsive and able to get things expedited internally. Mainly just the usual downsides of working with an employer of record, e.g. that there's less control and freedom over setting e.g. benefits, contractual terms etc.; and that there's more risk in case of any employment disputes because Remote's and the employer's incentives will likely not be fully aligned. Everything is virtual, and that’s the biggest benefit for me. Everything related to my employment, including documents and onboarding, is kept in one place, which makes it easy to stay organized. The UI is very easy to use, and the AI search helps me quickly find what I’m looking for. Integrations with other platforms are also straightforward and simple to use. It would be helpful if documents could be updated for employees more quickly once contract changes are made. Ideally, I’d like to receive the updated contract within 24 hours rather than 48, as that would make it easier to share and get it signed promptly. Internal polls within our organization showed that Remote helped us onboard remote team members with less manual intervention. What I like best about Remote is the platform itself, it's intuitive, reliable, and makes managing everything much easier. What do you dislike about Remote? What I dislike most about Remote is the customer support experience. The live chat doesn't resolve issues directly, they just send help articles or create a support ticket. Unfortunately, many tickets take a very long time to be resolved, and some never receive a response at all. In my experience, around 2 out of every 5 tickets seem to get lost or go unaddressed. I like that they handle local currency payments to contractors, and that they have a FX rate lock to protect contractor funds from volatility. The website and app is easy to use. Their pricing for contractor management is better than some of the competitors; they basically don't charge freelancers any commission of their earnings. I don't like that when you try to chat with support, you first have to wrestle with a stubborn AI chatbot to have any chance at getting connected to a human rep. They help with compliance, contracts, invoicing, and payments. This benefits me because clients can trust that they're covered legally (tax and compliance wise) and contractually. The platform itself is easy to navigate, AI chatbox is very helpful - many times saved my time as I was given instant reply with clarification from their AI tool. The best part of work with Remote is their Support Team! Always kind, fast and accurate in their responses. I do not have to worry , they help me with all my issues. Also something that I really appreciate is mailing from Remote with important information on upcoming changes in the local laws. Prices are a bit high, depends on the region were you hire.. I find Remote very easy to use, and the support team is responsive which makes a real difference. I appreciate how Remote makes my payment process easier and keeps me connected with my company. The transparency is a big plus as I can view every stage of the invoicing and download my contract whenever I want. I also like that I have visibility into when and how much I'll be getting paid, including the exchange rate, which is crucial as an independent contractor. The invoicing process is made simple as I can generate and template invoices directly on the platform without emailing them manually. This, combined with the ability to see time-off and the different ways to get paid, like through virtual bank accounts in multiple currencies, enhances the whole experience for me. What do you dislike about Remote? From the support side, I’ve felt the experience was a bit dry and it can be improved. I asked the support team a question when I changed the deposit method to a different bank account and I wasn't sure when I'd get paid. They should have provided a better response when I asked what time I’d get paid instead of simply saying they don’t know. It's their job to figure out the answer, not to say 'I don't know.' The interface has counted Polish public holidays and non-working days already built into the calendar, so I don't have to check or calculate anything manually. Leave accrual follows Polish labour law correctly, which is not obvious when your employer is a foreign entity. A big plus is access to benefits like group insurance through Remote. At my previous employer this simply wasn't an option, because the company had no legal entity or representation in Poland - the topic didn't exist. Here it's available even though I haven't used it yet. Onboarding itself went smoothly - health and safety training, document preparation and signing, all without delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Remote? There are three areas that, in my opinion, which could be improved. First, the platform is available only in English, with no option to switch to Polish. In day-to-day use this isn't a major issue, but when it comes to HR or payroll documents, the exact wording matters because these documents are based on Polish labour law. Having a Polish version, or at least Polish HR terminology, would make the platform much easier and more reassuring to use. Second, I miss having a dedicated local contact. Customer support is helpful, but it's only available through chat or email, in English, and there is no phone support. Most of the time that's fine, but when something urgent happens, waiting for replies and communicating in a foreign language adds unnecessary stress. It would also make a big difference to speak with someone who understands the local system - social security, public healthcare, sick leave procedures, and other country-specific regulations. Since this is exactly what an Employer of Record service is supposed to handle, having a dedicated account manager for each country, or at least a phone line for urgent cases, would significantly improve the experience. The third issue was the most concerning. My social security registration had not been completed before my employment officially started, and unfortunately I only discovered this when I needed medical assistance. I was admitted to hospital on a Friday after tearing a muscle and needed a sick leave certificate. Although the emergency chat was available, confirmation that everything had been sorted only arrived on Monday. In the end, the hospital accepted a written statement, so everything worked out, but that was more good fortune than a reliable process. Employee registration should always be completed before employment begins. Medical emergencies can happen at any time, and no employee should have to worry about whether they are properly registered for healthcare or statutory sick pay when they need it most. Remote makes it possible for me to work for a Danish company while being employed legally in Poland, without either side having to set up a local legal entity. It handles payroll, employment contracts and compliance with local employment regulations, making international employment much simpler.
